Xiaomi has unveiled a new Mijia Smart Electric Kettle S1 in the Chinese market, boasting a sleek design, high-quality materials, and a focus on safety. Set to launch on April 6th at an introductory price of 129 yuan (roughly $18), this kettle promises a convenient and reliable water boiling experience.

Xiaomi Mijia Smart Electric Kettle S1 Specifications:

The smart kettle features a double-layer stainless steel design for enhanced insulation and durability. The inner layer is crafted from food-grade 316L stainless steel, ensuring a healthy and odorless boiling experience.

This material is commonly used in kitchenware and has undergone rigorous testing to guarantee its safety. The outer layer is made from high-quality colored steel, offering a touch of elegance and a long-lasting finish.

For added safety, the kettle incorporates four-level protection. It features a British brand STRIX thermostat, tested for over 10,000 lifespans, to ensure every drop of water boils fully. The kettle also features dry burning protection, high-temperature power off, and steam sensing for automatic shut-off when lifted from the base.

The kettle boasts a generous 1.7L capacity, enough to boil up to 8 cups of water at once. With its 1800W high-power heating base, it promises rapid boiling, eliminating the wait for hot water.

It also comes with a two-stage damping opening mechanism that allows for safe and easy pouring. A single click opens the lid slightly to prevent hot steam from scalding, while a full opening requires a gentle pull back on the lid.

For added convenience, the kettle incorporates a wrapped mouth design to prevent accidental spills and scalding, and a cord storage base to keep countertops tidy. It also comes with a visual heating lamp that provides a clear indication of when the water is heating.

The Mijia Smart Electric Kettle S1 is part of the Mi Home ecosystem, which aims to simplify smart home integration. While details on smart functionalities are limited, Xiaomi’s focus on IoT technology suggests potential app integration for remote control or voice-activated boiling in the future. The kettle measures 220 mm in length, 150 mm in width, and 251.5 mm in height, with a net weight of 1.11 kg.

Earlier today, Xiaomi also launched the energy-efficient Mijia Air Conditioner Pro 1.5 HP, featuring rapid cooling and heating capabilities powered by HyperOS technology, alongside the affordable multifunctional Mijia Health Pot N1 priced at just $15.
