At the beginning of this month, Redmi suddenly announced a new series called the Redmi Turbo, while also confirming that the first device in this new lineup will be called the Redmi Turbo 3. The brand has now revealed what this device will look like, alongside its launch date in China.

Redmi Turbo 3

As per the brand’s official Weibo account, the new Redmi Turbo 3 smartphone will be launched on April 10 at 7 PM local time in China. The teaser comes with the official design reveal of the device, where we can see it in three colors, featuring a flat design with slightly curved corners for a more comfortable grip. The back has two camera sensor cutouts with a ring LED, and the power button and volume rockers are placed on the right side.

Apart from that, the brand has also confirmed that the device will be powered by the newly launched Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, which is a slightly toned-down version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 flagship chip. The brand has claimed to have achieved a running score of over 1.75 million on AnTuTu, which will place it far above the current AnTuTu Flagship killer king, the OnePlus Ace 3V. This performance is quite in line with what Redmi wants to achieve with the Turbo series. For more information, you can explore our detailed Redmi Turbo Series explainer article.

The device has previously been spotted on Geekbench with 16GB RAM and a running score of 1981 and 5526 points in the single-core and multi-core tests. The 3C certification of the device suggests that it will come with 90W fast charging for its rumored 5,000mAh battery. The phone is also expected to ship with a 1.5K OLED display and could be rebranded as the Poco F6 for the global market. Stay tuned for more developments on the matter.
