OnePlus unveiled the OnePlus Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro in China in January. A leak that was released by tipster Digital Chat Station in December revealed that the brand may launch another Ace-branded phone to rival the upcoming Snapdragon 8s Elite-powered smartphones. A new leak, courtesy of tipster Smart Pikachu, has revealed the launch timeframe of the mysterious device.

Upcoming Ace 5 series phone with Dimensity chip in works

The Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro that are available in China are equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Snapdragon 8 Elite chipsets, respectively. According to the tipster, the upcoming Ace 5 series phone will have a flat screen and a Dimensity chip.

It is expected to offer high-performance tuning with a focus on efficient heat dissipation, thanks to an all-new cooling technology. The phone is also anticipated to achieve top benchmark scores, making it a strong choice for users looking for high performance and value for money. The leak also reveals that it will be unveiled in the second quarter of this year.

Unfortunately, the exact moniker of the device is not known. It is unclear whether it will be called the Ace 5s or the Ace 5V. The previous leak by DCS claimed that the device would be equipped with a Dimensity 9-series chip, which could be the upcoming Dimensity 9350 chip. It is also expected to house a battery of around 7,000mAh capacity. It will have other specs, such as a 0809 vibration motor, a short-focus optical in-screen fingerprint sensor, and a plastic middle frame.

Redmi is expected to announce the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro with Snapdragon 8s Elite in April of this year in China. The iQOO Z10 Turbo Pro is also expected to debut with the same chip around the same time. The above-mentioned Ace 5 series is expected to rival the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro and iQOO Z10 Turbo Pro.
