A New GPU and Now, a New AI Chatbot? Nvidia is on a Roll, Launches ‘Chat with RTX’

Nvidia is on a roll! Yesterday, the company unveiled a whole new GPU, the RTX 2000 Ada. Now, the company has just come out with an early version of a new app called Chat with RTX, and it’s pretty exciting for anyone with a newer Nvidia graphics card. This app is all about letting your own computer do the heavy lifting when it comes to working with AI. You can throw YouTube videos and documents at it, and it’ll help you make sense of them, right there on your machine. The best part? You only need an Nvidia RTX 30- or 40-series GPU to get started.

Users only need an RTX 30 or 40 series GPU to get started with the locally-running chatbot

This tool could be a real time-saver, especially if you find yourself needing to dig through lots of information. Imagine being able to quickly get the gist of a video or find that needle in a haystack in a bunch of documents. That’s what Chat with RTX is promising. It is quite similar to other chatbots in the market, like Google‘s Gemini or OpenAI‘s ChatGPT.

NVIDIA Chat with RTX

It’s not perfect, though. Still, when it works, it’s a neat way to skip right to the parts you care about. Documents are where Chat with RTX really shines. It can zip through PDFs and other files, pulling out the important bits almost instantly. This could be a big deal for anyone who’s ever felt swamped by the amount of reading they need to do for work or school.

Now, it’s worth noting that Chat with RTX feels a bit like a work in progress. Setting it up takes a bit of patience, and it can be a resource hog. Plus, some kinks still need to be ironed out. For example, it’s not great at remembering what you’ve asked before, so each question has to start from scratch. These things will change quickly though, since NVIDIA is at the forefront of the AI revolution we’re all witnessing right now.

Leaked Documents Reveal Kia’s New Chapter – The EV8 Electric Sedan

Kia once turned heads with the Stinger, a car known for its sharp looks and fun drive. It was a bit of a standout because Albert Biermann, a big name in car design, helped make it. Sadly, the Stinger didn’t stay around for long, but Kia hasn’t slowed down it seems.

The car is expected to have a 370-mile (~595 km) range with nearly 600 hp.

Now, Kia’s eyes are set on something fresh and fully electric, rumored to be the EV8. This move is part of a bigger plan to push into electric cars, even as some other car makers take a step back. Kia, as part of the Hyundai Motor Group, is charging ahead, planning to bring electric cars that everyone can enjoy.

The car’s expected to pack a huge battery, promising a range that beats many others on the road today. This could mean less worry about running out of charge and more enjoying the drive.

Power is another big deal for the EV8. It might come with a choice of engines, but the top option could offer some solid speed, making it a strong follow-up to the Stinger and a tough competitor for other sporty electric cars. Kia’s push into electric cars, with the EV8 leading the way, shows it’s serious about the future. The EV8 might just be the start of a new, exciting chapter for Kia and its drivers.

iPhone 16 series leak reveals all the models with a major design overhaul

Apple‘s upcoming iPhone 16 series is set to mark a notable shift in design and features, diverging from its predecessors with a fresh approach to its camera alignment and model lineup.

The latest leak from Majin Bu reveals a transition from the traditional horizontal camera setup to a more streamlined vertical alignment. This adjustment not only offers a sleek, minimalist aesthetic but also aligns the iPhone 16 series closer to the design sensibilities of contemporary Android devices.

Potential Design of iPhone 16 Models

iPhone 16 series design leak

According to the leak, the iPhone 16 series is expected to introduce five distinct models, broadening its range to cater to various market segments. The lineup includes the iPhone 16 SE, 16 Plus SE, iPhone 16, 16 Pro, and 16 Pro Max. This expansion suggests a strategic merge of the iPhone SE product line into the broader iPhone 16 portfolio, hinting at Apple’s intention to offer more options to consumers at different price points.

The entry-level iPhone 16 SE and 16 Plus SE are anticipated to feature a dynamic island, a single camera setup, a 60Hz display, and a slightly reduced battery capacity. These models are poised to capture the budget-conscious segment.

Moving up the range, the standard iPhone 16 model is rumored to enhance the user experience with a 120Hz display, dual-camera system, and improved battery life, positioning it as an attractive option for the mid-range market.

At the top of the series, the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max models are expected to incorporate premium features, setting new benchmarks for performance and innovation in Apple’s smartphone offerings. Moreover, all the models (except SE models) are expected to come with larger batteries this time.

Apple has maintained the same iPhone design for several years without any significant refresh, dissatisfaction among consumers regarding this stagnation was evident during last year’s launch. With global sales soaring, Apple likely perceives now as an opportune moment to unveil a new design, anticipating that this move will not only meet consumer expectations but also drive further revenue growth.

The leakster also mentioned an iPhone model in testing, with a style similar to the iPhone XR, including a dynamic island and a color scheme similar to the iPhone 15. According to him, he first thought it was iPhone SE but now he is not sure about it.

Smartphone manufacturers are creating their own imaging companies for mobile photography

Smartphone manufacturers pay a lot of attention to mobile photography. Especially some brands are making efforts to improve the camera in mobile devices and are partnering with different companies. For example, Xiaomi is partnering with Leica.

As an effort of this partnership, smartphones are specially tested by both companies and not only that, they also add advanced effects for photos. Of course, you may ask whether every brand needs to partner with another company. Well, some companies may feel that they no longer need to partner and may soon decide to start their own image development company.

Device manufacturers create their own imaging companies

With advanced hardware, smartphones can deliver good photos, although not as good as photographic cameras. Many device manufacturers work on mobile photography and cameras are developing more and more every day.

Now the latest report from Digital Chat Station surprises everyone. Some smartphone manufacturers are reportedly preparing to stop making exclusive partnerships for imaging systems and will set up their own private companies. First of all, it is not known which brand will establish its own imaging company.

But we don’t think Xiaomi’s partnership with Leica will end immediately, so this could happen in the future for Xiaomi. It’s thought that Vivo or Oppo will set up their own special imaging company. Formerly, Huawei ended its partnership with Leica and created its own company called XMAGE. This company works to improve the photo and video quality of Huawei devices.

Amazon Prime Video sheds Dolby Vision and Atmos Support from Basic Plan

Amazon Prime Video Subscription is widely used across the US and the countries where it is available. The pricing and content are different in each country, but it seems now features will also differ if we conclude from the recent changes the company made to the Amazon Prime Video subscription in the US. Amazon introduced ads to the Prime Video subscriptions, and it seems the support for Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos is also no longer available with the plan.

Amazon Prime Video Dolby Vision and Atmos Removal from Ad-Tier

A German tech firm, 4K Filme noticed the unavailability of the Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos features while streaming. The ad-tier users are limited to the HDR10+ and Dolby Digital 5.1 features. Later, Forbes and other publishers confined the absence of these features to the Amazon ad tier.

Surprisingly, Amazon did not add information about these features to the new ad-free tier. However, it seems the user has to pay an additional $2.99 per month to get an ad-free experience and support for Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.

Amazon has not yet responded to the whole scenario and has failed to give any reasoning behind removing the features. Well, there could be a lot of things, at the backend, that led Amazon to take such a drastic step. However, a full explanation was expected, but the company simply confirmed to Forbes the removal of the features from the ad tier. In a response to Forbes, the company said, “Moving Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos to the ads-free tier is deliberate, and not the result of a technical issue.

It seems, that Amazon deliberately removed the feature, rather than accidentally. Well, the actual reason remains under wraps.

The changes are part of the Amazon Prime Subscription Pack in the US, while other countries remain unaffected as of now.

Xiaomi Cuktech Multi-port GaN Charger 65W (2C1A) now comes with USB Type-C cable at cheaper price

Just last week, Xiaomi’s Cuktech (formerly ZMIlaunched a charger for iPhones. A few days after that, the brand has released yet another product.

The new offering from the company is a charger bundle. It is an updated version of an existing product at a cheaper price.

Cuktech Multi-port GaN Charger 65W (2C1A)

Back in November, Cuktech launched a 65W GaN charger with multiple ports. This power adapter officially goes by Cuktech Multi-port GaN Charger 65W (2C1A).

As the name suggests, the charger maxes at 65W output and features two USB Type-C ports and a USB Type-A port. Also, it uses gallium nitride instead of silicon.

At launch, this power adapter was priced at ¥99 (~$15) in China. It is also available in select global markets for around $30.

Now, three months later, the brand has released a new bundle in China that includes a 100W-compatible USB Type-C cable. More importantly, this version of the product is slightly cheaper at ¥94.

This GaN charger is comparatively smaller than regular 65W adapters on the market that use silicon. Even the pin can be folded to carry it without hassle.

Out of the two USB Type-C ports, only one of them support 65W maximum output, while the second one is limited to 33W. Further, the USB Type-A port maxes at 22.5W.

However, on the global variant of this charger, both USB Type-C ports support 65W.

For some reason, Cuktech doesn’t specify the charging protocols supported by the adapter. However, it advertises fast charging on products from various brands, including Apple, Samsung, Huawei, Lenovo, and Xiaomi.

As mentioned earlier, this power accessory is sold in a few international markets. In some regions, it seems to arrive with a cable like the new bundle in China.

Under Oppo Super Flash Charge Membership, Oppo and OnePlus device owners will get free charging services using shared power banks from Oppo Stores in China. There will be an 8000 mAh power bank that can charge user devices with 33W fast charging technology. Precisely, the free membership plan will offer 300 minutes of free charging per month. Any other user can also charge their respective device at the price of 1 yuan for 30 minutes.

For free access, the user needs to claim the service by heading to the Oppo Shop online website or the WeChat app. The process also needs a WeChat app to rent the power bank successfully. However, the user can rent a power bank multiple times for free if they have within 300 minutes of free charging. However, they can easily locate the Oppo retail stores to avail of the service during working hours.

Oppo collaborated with the renowned public shared power bank company Pisen to offer the service to users across China. The service can be obtained from the Oppo retail stores. Pisen recently introduced Pisen P1 TWS earbuds, following Apple AirPods-like design.

Meanwhile, Oppo recently launched the Oppo Reno 115 FG smartphone with a 120Hz OLED display and 64MP triple rear cameras. It packs a rated chassis.

OnePlus president and COO Kinder Liu made a public announcement on the company’s official forum. He added that OnePlus made an error in stating that the storage type enhanced on the 12R was UFS 4.0. This was also reflected in the spec sheet of the product listing on the official site.

OnePlus clarifies that the OnePlus 12R features a UFS 3.1 storage system on all variants. UFS 3.1 is older than UFS 4.0 which is found on the flagship OnePlus 12. It also has slower read and write speeds. However, the storage type is still present on older flagships like the OnePlus 11. Additionally, the UFS 3.1 on 12R is enhanced by the new Trinity Engine that was fully tested on the device. It is claimed to launch apps faster than ever and keep applications locked open for up to 72 hours. The OnePlus 12R is offered in 128GB and 256GB storage options.

Meanwhile, the OnePlus 12R’s second sale has commenced today. On Amazon, interested buyers can benefit from an extra Rs 4,000 exchange bonus on the purchase of the smartphone. There is also Rs 1,000 discount on select bank cards.
