Xiaomi ecological chain partner Wanbo has unveiled the Mozart 1 Pro projector to the global market. The new Wanbo projector boasts a maximum brightness of 900 ANSI lumens and comes with several improvements over its predecessor. Wanbo will showcase the new projector at the upcoming CES 2024 in January.

It has a throw ratio of 1.2 and can project images up to 150 inches.

The POCO M6 5G‘s India launch is just around the corner. It is set to be announced in the region on 22nd December 2023 at 12 PM IST. But ahead of the launch, the upcoming budget smartphone was teased by the company showcasing its storage option.

The Chinese smartphone maker shared a teaser image poster on X (formerly Twitter). Looking at the image, the brand teased that the device will feature up to 256GB of internal storage. Under the hood, it is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ SoC. The brand also teased its pricing, which will start from just under 10,000 INR (roughly 120US Dollars). Since the base model will start from 9,4XX INR, we can assume the 256GB variant will go for over 10,000K INR.

POCO M6 5G

Based on what we know so far, the affordable handset sports a tall 6.74-inch HD+ display that offers 90Hz refresh rate, 600 nits of peak brightness, 90Hz refresh rate, and 180Hz touch sampling rate. A large 5,000mAh battery pack will power this device, which supports 18W fast charging. It is expected to offer 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB of RAM along with 128GB and 256GB of internal storage. Storage can be further expanded via a dedicated microSD card slot.

On the rear, the POCO M6 5G will feature a 50-megapixel dual camera setup, while the front houses a 5-megapixel selfie shooter. Other notable features include an Android 13 OS based MIUI 14 custom skin out of the box. This model is rumored to be a rebranded Redmi 13C 5G, which was recently released in the region as well. Nikola founder and former CEO, Trevor Milton has been sentenced to four years in jail in a fraud case involving the electric truck manufacturer. Milton had claimed that truck maker Nikola had built its vehicle from the ground up. The jury found him guilty of misleading investors about the company’s technology. The former CEO was also ordered to pay a fine of $1 million.

The fraud case was instituted in the US and the Federal prosecutor said Milton provided false information about Nikola’s capabilities. The false information included a claim that the company built the Nikola One electric truck from the ground up. The prosecutor also accused Milton of staging a video purportedly showing the Nikola One semi-driving under its power when it was rolling down a hill.

Nikola was founded in 2015 and claimed it would make zero-emission big rigs based on hydrogen fuel cell technology. In 2020, General Motors announced plans to acquire an 11% equity stake in Nikola. GM also said that it will assist Nikola in manufacturing its battery-electric and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. However, the upward progression of Nikola was seemingly halted a week later after a bombshell report came from Hindenburg Research. The short-selling firm had accused Milton of fraud including the video of the Nikola One truck rolling down a hill. Milton was also accused of falsely claiming to produce hydrogen fuels at below-market rates, as well as obtaining several billions of dollars in truck orders.

A fallout of the damning report on Nikola saw General Motors swiftly backing out from its planned equity purchase and Milton stepping down as the board chair and CEO. The report also triggered a federal investigation that led to the arrest of Milton. The crisis led to the scaling down of the company’s operations and in 2021, it halted work on its electric ATV and motorboat project. About $14 million is estimated to have been lost by Nikola as a result of the discontinuation of the electric ATV and motorboat development.

There has been no official response by Nikola or Trevor Milton on the fraud case ruling. This may however not be the end of the case.

Potts e-Bikes is a specialist dealer based in Germany. It seems to have acquired a license to sell Class electric bicycles in Europe and is debuting with the Claas trekking e-bike. Claas has an established identity as an agricultural machinery brand.

The new trekking e-bike is the first pedelec from the brand. It is equipped with a Bosch Performance Line smart motor. It also comes with an Enviolo TR gear hub underpinning its stepless gear architecture and automatic shifting.

The new Claas trekking e-bike’s Bosch smart electric motor is mid-mounted while a 625Wh removable battery is locked away within the frame. The frame is green and will be available in various sizes for both step-through and step-over versions. The bike is also equipped with a Gates Carbon Belt Drive CDX and an RST Volar TNL-F suspension. The ride is made more comfortable with the additional suspension seat post, while effective control is achieved via the Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes.

The e-bike’s branding reflects the Claas identity with red accents on the 27.5-inch wheels with Schwalbe Johnny Watts tires. The trekking e-bike has a Bosch Kiox 500 display for viewing ride information. Accessories include mudguards, a headlight, and a kickstand, while a rear rack is also available to transport luggage. There are still a few specs that are lacking for the Claas e-bike at this time including the assistance range and top speed.

The Claas trekking e-bike will launch in spring 2024 but the specific launch date has not been released. The recommended retail price for the Claas e-bike is €4,990 ($5,467). Potts e-Bikes will sell the Claas e-bike across Europe, but other specialist dealers could also be in the mix. There are no indications yet whether the Claas e-bike will be subsequently available in other markets outside Europe.

The 2024 Rolls-Royce Spectre, an all-electric luxury car, has surpassed expectations with its EPA range. This figure, however, is still less than the 323-mile range estimated under Europe’s WLTP standards, which tend to be higher than the EPA’s.

This impressive vehicle comes in four variations, each with a different range based on wheel size and design. The 23-inch wheel version has a 266-mile range, while the Black Badge edition offers 280 miles with 22-inch wheels and 264 miles with 23-inch wheels. Although these numbers are respectable, they don’t quite match up to the longest-range luxury models like the Lucid Air or Mercedes-Benz EQS.

Rolls Royce

Under the hood, the Spectre is powered by a 102-kilowatt-hour battery, hinting at a shared battery pack with the BMW i7. This connection isn’t surprising, considering Rolls-Royce is part of the BMW Group. The battery supports fast charging, reaching 80% in just 34 minutes. The BMW i7 xDrive60, for comparison, has a range of 298-317 miles, depending on the wheel size.

The Rolls-Royce Spectre boasts a dual-motor, all-wheel drive powertrain, delivering 430 kilowatts and up to 900 Nm of torque. This power enables it to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds, a remarkable feat given its weight of 6,559 lbs.

In terms of energy consumption, the Spectre with 22-inch wheels is estimated at 81 MPGe, or about 416 watt-hours per mile. The 23-inch wheel version consumes 9.3% more energy. This increased consumption is expected due to its larger wheels and heavier build. The Black Badge edition consumes slightly more energy, reducing its range, but offering a distinct style that may appeal to certain buyers.

Xiaomi is gearing up to launch the Redmi Note 13 series smartphones in India on January 4. The brand was teasing just the Pro+ (review) model since the last few days. Now, Xiaomi has started dropping teasers of the Note 13 Pro 5G as well. This confirms that the device will also arrive in the country at the same time. The Redmi Note 13 series debuted in China in September this year and the global variants are expected to pack the same specifications.

Xiaomi’s India branch shared a teaser on X platform confirming the arrival of the Note 13 Pro in India on January 4. The brand is teasing the upcoming offering as ‘Superpower, Supernote’. The smartphone is confirmed to be the first in the world to be powered by a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2. 

Another teaser shared by Xiaomi India reveals that the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G will flaunt the same design as the China variant. This includes a boxy design, a squarish camera module housing three protruding lenses including a 200MP primary sensor. The device is also spotted in a Light Blue color option. 

As for the core specifications, in China, the Redmi Note 13 Pro has a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, an integrated fingerprint scanner, and Gorilla Glass Victus protection. The device features a 200MP + 13MP + 2MP camera setup and a 16MP selfie snapper. Internally, the Redmi Note 13 Pro is equipped with Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 coupled with up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. It draws its power from a 5,100mAh battery unit with support for 67W fast charging.

The S-Pen slot slightly protrudes out of the phone’s slot. Additionally, the side frame on the S24 Ultra seems to curve a bit. It doesn’t appear to be entirely flat unlike the S24 and S24 Plus. The front of the phone has reduced bezels resulting in the narrowest bezel on all sides of the smartphone. The Galaxy S24 Ultra will reportedly be equipped with a titanium frame.

Alongside the aforementioned colors in the press renders, Samsung is also expected to offer the Galaxy S24 Ultra in online-exclusive color options. The entire spec sheet of the Galaxy S24 series leaked recently. Additionally, the leaked Galaxy Unpacked launch event poster also suggests that the next-generation Galaxy flagships may debut on January 18.

Testing under standard conditions showed that the dehumidifier’s actual capacity is 13,302L/D at 30°C and 80% RH. In a 25m2 room, it can significantly reduce humidity in 90 minutes. Its noise level in sleep mode is measured at 34.1 dB(A), providing a quiet environment for users.

This smart device integrates seamlessly with the MI Home App and Xiao Ai voice assistant, allowing users to schedule operations, remotely control the unit, and switch between various dehumidification modes, including smart, drying, and sleep modes. The latest offering is the follow-up to the Honor Pad 8 that debuted last year. The device arrives with significant upgrades compared to its predecessor. The Honor Pad 9 features a 12.1–inch screen with symmetrical bezels on all four sides. It has a paper-like display with a matte finish. The LCD panel offers a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels. 550 nits peak brightness, and an 88 percent screen-to-body ratio. It also features a 120Hz refresh rate. The device is claimed to eliminate 98 percent of reflected light for a glare-free viewing experience. The tablet is also compatible with stylus and keyboard. 

On the imaging front, the Honor Pad 9 has a circular camera module on the back panel. It houses a 13MP sensor and there is an 8MP selfie snapper. The device is equipped with eight speakers. 

Under the hood, the Honor Pad 9 is powered by a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor. The chipset is coupled with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. The tablet is backed by an 8,300mAh battery unit with support for 35W fast charging. Software-wise, it runs on MagicOS 7.2-based on Android 13 out of the box. 

The Honor Pad 9 can be availed in Azure, White, and Gray color options. It starts at CNY 1,499 (~$209) for the 8GB + 256GB variant. The 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB options are priced at CNY 1,999 (~$279) and CNY 2,199 (~$307).

At an event held in China today, Honor has launched new devices. These include the Honor 90 GT and the Honor Pad 9. The smartphone packs premium specifications. It arrives as the successor to the Honor 80 GT with significant upgrades. Read on to know what the Honor 90 GT offers out of the box.

The Honor 90 GT has a boxy design with a rectangular camera module on the back panel. There are two vertical running stripes in White color below the camera island but it’s only found on the Blue color variant. On the display front, the smartphone features an OLED display with a center-aligned punch-hole cutout and minimal bezels that are claimed to be even thinner than the iPhone 15 Pro. The screen measures 6.6 inches bearing a 1.5K pixel resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 3840Hz PWM dimming. The display is also integrated with a fingerprint scanner.

Under the hood, the Honor 90 GT is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. It is the first smartphone from the brand to pack up to 24GB RAM onboard. The device offers up to 1TB of storage. The Honor 90 GT is backed by a 5,200mAh battery unit with support for 100W wired charging. There is a 3D vapor chamber cooling unit for heat dissipation.

On the imaging front, the Honor 90 GT has dual rear cameras comprising of a 50MP Sony IMX906 main sensor with OIS support and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens. The smartphone features a 16MP front-facing selfie snapper.

Other features on the Honor 90 GT include an RF enhancement C1 chip for connectivity, an X-Axis linear motor, and dual speakers. Software-wise, the phone runs on MagicOS 7.2 based on Android 14.

The Honor 90 GT is offered in GT Blue (with leather textured back panel), Black, and Gold color options. It starts at CNY 2,599 (~$365) for the base 12GB + 256GB variant. The 16GB + 256GB and 16GB + 512GB RAM and storage configurations are priced at CNY 2,899 (~$405) and CNY 3,1,999 (~$450) respectively. The 24GB + 1TB model carries a price tag of CNY 3,699 (~$520).

The Chinese tech giant has released multiple different products outside the smartphone and keyboard and mouse set that are also a part of the collaboration. This includes a new backpack, traveling suitcase, power bank, a tripod stand for phones, as well as phone cases. As the name suggests, these are also inspired by Disney’s Toy Story 3 antagonist, which is the Strawberry Bear named Lotso.

In other words, all of the products feature the primary color pink and feature an aspect that showcases the teddy bear. For example, the smartphone protective case has a small head of the Strawberry Bear sticking out from the back. Meanwhile, the backpack has a dual tone light and dark pink color and the teddy bear printed on it. Some of the more whacky product includes a magnetic tripod, which also features a similar color scheme.

Notably, the Xiaomi Civi 3 Disney Bear Strawberry Bear edition comes with a gift box with the phone cover, transparent cover, card pins, stickers, and more. Apart from this, there is a big pink colored suitcase and a Disney 100th anniversary celebrating power bank as well. All of these products are set to go on sale in China. The first sale will kick off on the evening of 22nd December 2023.

Entire Apple iPhone 16 series to feature the A18 SoC, hints leaked iOS 18 codes

A new report has revealed an interesting detail regarding the 2025 iPhone lineup. Apple is apparently planning on launching the iPhone 16 series with the A18 chipset. The news arrives from leaked iOS 18 codes, so here are all the details.

Notably, this report is in line with one of our earlier reports from back in October and was based on a leak from known analyst Jeff Pu. Now, the latest information arrives from leaked iOS 18 codes that were first spotted by Mac Rumors. The report cited sources that spotted details on the iOS 18 source code that details four unreleased iPhones. These are listed as D47, D48, D93, and D94, which likely refer to the iPhone 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro, and 16 Pro Max, respectively.

It seems that the Cupertino based giant will be using the same chip for the entire lineup. This is in contrast to its recent launches where the base and Plus models feature improved last gen processors while the Pro series come with the latest generation SoC. While the iOS source code leaks did not officially reveal the name of the said processor, it is listed as the t8140 system for all four iPhone 16 models.

Similarly, we recently covered render leaks for the iPhone 16 as well as a separate report that claims that all iPhone 16 will be equipped with upgraded mic with integrated AI features. All four iPhone 16 models may also come with an Action Button, while the Pro models is rumored to offer a Tetraprism 5x zoom camera.
