Tesla has finally started delivering the Cybertruck, which haunted the dreams of many car enthusiasts since its announcement in 2019. The excitement surrounding this vehicle is so high someone even spent $400,000 at an auction to get an early Tesla Cybertruck. The excitement isn’t just about Tesla delivering on its promises for performance, it’s also because of the innovative features that make the four year wait worthwhile. For example, did you know that Cybertruck is able to “serve briefly as a boat”? Here are the details…
UniqueTesla Cybertruck Water Travel Feature Unveiled
The Tesla Cybertruck stands out as an impressive electric vehicle, boasting exceptional performance, range, and power. However, in addition to its performance and advanced features like ‘steer-by-wire,’ looks like Elon Musk and Tesla have a lot more to offer. If you recall, last year Musk Musk claimed in a speech that the Cybertruck could “briefly serve as a boat,” navigating rivers, lakes, and relatively calm seas. Still, despite all his success and craziness, Musk initially met with skepticism. However, the recently revealed ‘Wade Mode’ proves that the eccentric billionaire was true to his word.
The feature in question was discovered by one of the early buyers of the Cybertruck. Excitedly exploring the vehicle’s features, the user came across a feature named ‘Wade Mode’ in the off-road settings menu. There, he encountered the description: “Raises ride height and pressurizes battery when driving through water.” Of course, the Cybertruck was designed to withstand challenging conditions, so durability in different terrain is not a surprise. However, the ability to travel on the water is a delightful surprise.
This is sick. Cybertruck has a toggle for “Wade Mode” in the Off-Road Baja Settings
As you know, Tesla Cybertruck is priced between $60,000 and $100,000. Therefore, no one has taken this expensive vehicle for a “swim” yet. Moreover, there’s uncertainty about how the feature functions under specific conditions, and we’re also unsure if Tesla would cover any potential malfunctions under warranty. As you also know, saltwater is practically toxic for electronic devices.
Nevertheless, Musk mentioned in his speech that the Cybertruck is designed to handle go in the sea. Unfortunately, despite our curiosity about all these questions, we’re left with no option but to wait for answers for now.
Google‘s parent company, Alphabet, has made amends in a major antitrust lawsuit. Facing pressure from all 50 US states and consumers, they’ve agreed to a $700 million settlement and tweak the Google Play Store’s policies to open up the Android app market.
The accusations? Google allegedly used unfair tactics to force developers to use the Play Store exclusively, inflating app prices in the process. They pocketed up to 30% of each Play Store transaction, a hefty chunk that consumers and developers alike felt the sting of.
Google to pay $700 million to settle antitrust lawsuit
Now, to settle the legal mess, Google agreed to pay up big and loosen its grip on the Play Store ecosystem:
$630 million consumer fund: This pot of money will go to consumers who may have overpaid for in-app purchases via Google Play. The distribution of the fund will be court-approved, though specifics on distribution haven’t been revealed.
$70 million state fund: Google will pay states an additional $70 million to cover state AGs see fit.
To make amends, Google is also opening up the app ecosystem. Developers will now have the choice to use a separate billing system, saving them 4% on those hefty fees.
Google’s been testing this system for over a year, and now it should finally go official. Plus, developers can now offer different price options within apps, giving consumers more flexibility.
Moreover, the Play Store’s hold on app downloads is loosening too. Google is making it easier for users to download apps directly from developers’ websites, bypassing the Play Store entirely.
They’re also toning down the warnings that pop up when sideloading apps. The message when sideloading the app will now read “Your phone currently isn’t configured to install apps from this source. Granting this source permission to install apps could place your phone and data at risk.”
Likewise, for phone makers, the Play Store isn’t the only game in town anymore. They can pre-install other app stores without Google’s permission, even skipping the Play Store altogether. And in the upcoming Android 14, these alternative stores can even handle app updates, taking another slice of power away from Google’s grip.

Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6), shrouded in secrecy, continues to face a torrent of leaks. The latest comes from an anonymous source claiming to be a former Rockstar office cleaner, who suggests the game might have a vast map and release in September 2025.
The leak, posted on a gaming subreddit, describes the cleaner’s observations during a six-month stint at Rockstar where they observed glimpses of the game despite security measures.
The most interesting detail shared is seeing a final frame, possibly from a trailer or some advert, featuring the GTA logo and “September 2025” under it – potentially hinting at the release month. Additionally, the cleaner claims to have witnessed a “huge” map with multiple city clusters saying:
‘The map looked huge, saw it on a monitor briefly as I was walking past one of the devs, looked like there were like 2-3 big clusters of roads which I’m assuming were cities/towns.’
Lucia.
The leak also mentions that they overheard one of the devs expressing relief about the absence of actor Bryan Zampella, who was once rumored for a lead role.
However, some details shared by the alleged cleaner raise eyebrows. The use of “liquor” instead of “alcohol”, a common American term in a UK context, casts some doubt on the cleaner’s authenticity.
Also, it’s hard to believe the cleaner didn’t sign a secret agreement (NDA) considering the game’s secrecy and Rockstar’s reputation for protecting its projects.
The moderators of the subreddit where the leak surfaced claim to have received proof of the cleaner’s employment, but the information’s validity remains in question.
It’s possible the cleaner is genuine but unknowingly violated an NDA, and may potentially face legal consequences. Or maybe they made it all up just to get attention online. So, we think it’s better to be a bit skeptical.

Under the hood, the Legion Pro 5 is fueled by the Intel Core i9-14900HX processor, a juggernaut with 24 cores and 32 threads (8 P-Cores and 16 E-Cores). The CPU clocks at speeds of up to 5.8GHz and sports a maximum turbo power design of 157W (55W PL1). Spotted on Shopee
The Legion Pro 5 maintains its portability with an 80Wh battery, housed within dimensions of 363 x 260 x 26.75mm and a weight of 2.55kg. Connectivity is robust, with features like 3 x USB 3.1 Gen1 ports, 1 x USB 3.2 Gen1 (always on) port, and 1 x USB-C 3.2 Gen2 supporting data transfer and DisplayPort 1.4. HDMI 2.1 is also on board, capable of handling 4K at 120Hz or 8K at 60Hz, catering to the demands of high-quality gaming displays.
Despite the distinction between the 14th Gen Core “Raptor Lake Refresh” GPUs and the newly unveiled Intel Meteor Lake CPUs, Lenovo’s inclusion of the GeForce RTX 4070 ensures that integrated graphics won’t be a primary concern for gamers. The Legion Pro 5 is poised for a full reveal at CES 2024, promising a thrilling experience for gaming enthusiasts.

Samsung has released two new sensors, the ISOCELL Vizion 63D and ISOCELL Vizion 931, that promise to enhance the experience of AR (Augmented Reality), VR (Virtual Reality), and even smartphones. Each sensor offers unique capabilities for enhanced virtual and augmented experiences and tackles different challenges in capturing images and depth data.
ISOCELL Vizion 63D
The ISOCELL Vizion 63D is a 3D ToF (Time-of-Flight) sensor with a 1/6.4-inch sensor size and 3.5µm pixels that measures depth and distance with high precision. It can capture QVGA (320×240) images at 30fps and VGA (640×480) videos.
This sensor is also a first in the industry, featuring an integrated depth-sensing ISP, eliminating the need for a separate chip and reducing power consumption by 40% compared to previous models. It boasts high light absorption and low noise thanks to its Backside Scattering Technology.
Likewise, the ISOCELL Vizion comes with two modes — flood and spot — which allow for optimizing resolution and range depending on the situation. Flood mode prioritizes resolution at shorter distances, while spot mode increases range at the expense of resolution.
ISOCELL Vizion 931
On the other hand, the ISOCELL Vizion 931 is a global shutter sensor, capturing entire scenes at once, unlike rolling shutter sensors that scan line by line and can introduce motion blur. This sensor offers 640×640 resolution and is ideal for applications like iris recognition, eye tracking, and facial/gesture detection in XR headsets.
It also boasts the highest industry quantum efficiency for its infrared light wavelength, leading to sharper images. This sensor can connect four cameras using a single wire, simplifying circuit design and saving space.
Both sensors are currently being tested by device manufacturers and are expected to be used in Samsung’s upcoming mixed-reality headset and other AR/VR devices. Their improved accuracy, efficiency, and image quality hold promise for enhancing the capabilities of these technologies.
