Oppo and Honor are expected to launch the Reno 11 series and Honor 100 series in the coming weeks. We have been hearing about these devices, especially the latter, for quite a while now.
Both of them are rumored to be released in November. A tipster has now suggested their launch date as well as price range. Let’s go through the details.
Oppo Reno 10 Pro Plus
A tipster who goes by 熊猫很禿然 (Panda is very bald) on Weibo says that the Oppo Reno 11 series and the Honor 100 series will be announced on the same day in China. He also reveals that they will compete with each other in the same price segment.
As per him, these smartphones will be launched in China on November 23. Further, they will retail around ¥2,000-¥3,000 in the country.
It is worth noting that the leaker has now edited his original post. He has removed the launch date and price range. The post now merely reads that these two phone lineups will compete with each other.
Anyways, as per an Honor Club post, the brand has planned a launch event for November 23. The company is yet to reveal the devices but they are most likely Honor 100 models.
On the other hand, Oppo just announced the HyperTone camera system tuned by Hasselblad for the Reno 11 series and other phones. Digital Chat Station claims that the next-gen Reno will go official by the end of November.
Therefore, we wouldn’t be surprised if both of them get announced on the same day as the tipster suggests.

Samsung is gearing up to launch its next flagship smartphone series, the Galaxy S24, on January 17, 2024. In the lead-up to the launch, the company has been teasing a number of new features that will be included in the new phones. One of the most exciting features is real-time speech translation. This feature will use artificial intelligence to translate phone calls in real time, allowing users to communicate with people who speak different languages. Here are the details…
Samsung Galaxy S24 Will Be Able to Translate Calls Instantly to Another Language
Artificial intelligence (AI) technologies are becoming increasingly widespread and integrated into every aspect of our lives. The process that began with ChatGPT, Bard, and Bing AI is now continuing on our smartphones. According to reports, Samsung will offer a new AI-powered translation feature on the Galaxy S24 models. This feature will provide real-time translation during phone calls.
Unfortunately, it is not yet clear exactly how the feature will work. However, it is certainly exciting. The most important point is that it could really boost the company’s sales. The feature, which is expected to appeal particularly to the business world, could strengthen communication between the Far East, where English is not widely spoken, and the rest of the world.
Of course, the idea of anyone from China being able to speak easily with your relatives in the village is quite appealing. However, it is worth remembering that the phone is still a long way off from being released and that some features may change by then. Samsung Galaxy S24 Series Expected Specifications:
Nothing is now rolling out the second beta build of NothingOS 2.5, which is based on Android 14 and designed for the Nothing Phone (2). This release follows closely on the heels of the Open Beta 1 rollout in October.
One of the standout features in the Nothing OS 2.5 Open Beta 2 is the Glyph Interface. It introduces Glyph Progress integration for Google Calendar, making it easier for users to keep track of their upcoming events with a handy 5-minute countdown. The Glyph Timer has also seen some enhancements, now supporting time presets for quick duration settings. What’s more, you can open the Glyph Timer directly from the lock screen without the need to unlock your phone, adding a touch of convenience. Additionally, a new Glyph animation has been introduced when NFC is utilized.
Widgets have received a boost too. The lock screen now supports widgets, offering users more customization and quick access to their favorite features. There’s a new Pedometer widget with a fun animation for step tracking and progress tracking, a Screentime widget, and a media widget for seamless navigation of podcasts and music from various sources.
Nothing OS 2.5 Open Beta 2 isn’t just about features; it’s also about the finer details. Predictive Back is now supported on all Nothing apps, and there are more options for the double-press power button gesture. Users will also experience improved reliability with the three-finger swipe gesture, and several status bar icons have received a refresh. General bug fixes round out the improvements, ensuring a smoother user experience.
For those eager to get their hands on Nothing OS 2.5 – Open Beta 2, you can either update through Settings if you’re already part of Beta 1 or follow a simple process to join the beta.

The Apple Watch Ultra‘s fall detection feature recently played a crucial role in saving the life of a diabetic man in Las Vegas. Josh Furman, a 40-year-old resident, fell unconscious due to low blood sugar, and his smartwatch automatically dialed 911, ultimately leading to his rescue.
Apple Watch Ultra’s Heroic Role in Saving a Diabetic Man’s Life
When Furman collapsed, his Apple Watch Ultra detected the fall and initiated a call to emergency services. Although he couldn’t communicate clearly with the 911 operator, his watch shared his location, aiding the responders in reaching him promptly. Additionally, the watch sent messages to his emergency contacts, enabling Furman’s mother to convey his medical condition to the emergency services team.
Furman’s case highlights the importance of customizing smartwatch settings. He had activated the fall detection feature, which is typically off by default for users under 55. This feature is primarily designed for use during physical activities, but Furman’s decision to keep it always on proved to be a life-saving choice. He emphasized the significance of understanding and utilizing the available features, stating that without his watch’s fall detection feature, the outcome might have been very different.
The fall detection feature on compatible Apple Watch models functions by lightly tapping the wrist, emitting an alarm sound, and displaying a notification if it detects a significant fall. Users have the option to either contact emergency services or dismiss the notification. If the watch detects a lack of movement for approximately one minute, it will automatically dial emergency services, sharing the user’s location with emergency contacts.
While the Apple Watch cannot directly track blood sugar levels, it can still be a valuable tool in emergencies, as demonstrated in Furman’s case. This story serves as a reminder of the potential life-saving capabilities of wearable technology when properly utilized.
The Humane Ai Pin is expected to be a game-changer in wearable technology. The device was announced recently at the Paris Fashion Week. Priced at $699, this device goes beyond the typical smart gadget. Alongside the sleek Pin, you receive a charger and two innovative “battery boosters” that double as magnetic clothing clips, ensuring your AI assistant never runs low on juice.
The monthly subscription in itself is $24 a month
The Humane Ai Pin isn’t just a piece of hardware; it’s a gateway to a suite of services. For $24 a month, users gain access to a unique subscription providing cellular data, a phone number, cloud storage for photos and videos, and unlimited interactions with advanced AI models courtesy of partnerships with giants like Microsoft and OpenAI.
At the heart of the Ai Pin is a QualcommSnapdragon processor, supporting an array of features including a camera, depth and motion sensors, a “personic speaker,” and even a green laser projector. Interaction is highly intuitive, through voice commands, a touchpad, or Bluetooth-connected headphones. Yet, the Ai Pin stands out for its commitment to privacy; there’s no passive listening here—you must touch the device to engage, and a “Trust Light” signals when it’s recording.
Running on an OS named “Cosmos,” the Ai Pin might just be building upon Android’s foundation. It promises to streamline your digital life, from summarizing emails to drafting messages in your own style. Plus, with Tidal integration and robust photography tools, it aims to please music and photo enthusiasts alike. And for added convenience, the “Humane.center” portal will allow access to all your content across devices. For the price tag, is it justified? Who’s to say? More user reviews will be available once the product hits the shelves.
Polestar, the electric car maker, has had to adjust its sails in the rough seas of today’s market. The company aimed high with a goal of 80,000 cars delivered this year, but now they’re steering towards a more modest 60,000. It’s a sign of the times; even with a jump in sales and a boost in revenue, they can’t escape the currents of a weaker global demand, especially in the electric vehicle (EV) sector.
The company is trying to keep its profit margins afloat as the costs go higher
Despite the headwinds, there’s a silver lining. Polestar’s recent sales are up by half compared to last year, and while they’re now aiming for fewer deliveries, they’ve still managed to sell over 40,000 cars in nine months. That’s no small feat in a world where wallets are tightening.
The challenge doesn’t end with sales numbers. Profits are also taking a hit, with expectations halved from 4% to 2%. Price hikes haven’t been enough to keep the profit margins afloat as the cost of doing business in the EV industry climbs.
On the financial front, Polestar isn’t running on empty. They’ve got a decent stash of cash and fresh loans from Volvo Cars and an affiliate of Geely Holding. This is reassuring for those keeping an eye on the company’s vitality.
Looking ahead, Polestar isn’t just cruising along; they’re planning an acceleration. A new model is set to roll out in China soon, with customer deliveries by year’s end. And by 2026, they’re looking to expand their lineup to five models. That’s ambition with a capital ‘A’.
Even with these plans, Polestar acknowledges the road to profitability is a marathon, not a sprint, with a break-even point projected for 2025. It’s a bumpy ride for the EV industry, but Polestar’s journey is one to watch. The company is carving a niche for itself in the industry, and it will be interesting to see how other EV makers rise up.
Apple discontinued the iPhone 12 mini with the launch of the iPhone 14 series in September 2022. However, for a while, the company continued to sell the device in refurbished condition on its website in the US.
The refurbished variant hit the shelves in late July 2022, which was months before the handset even got discontinued. But the product was only available in 128GB version.
Now, more than a year later, Apple has brought back the iPhone 12 mini refurbished model in stock on its US website. But this time around, the device is offered with 256GB storage and at a cheaper price.
The iPhone 13 mini was discontinued after the iPhone 15 lineup went official this September. With this, the ‘mini’ lineup was officially dead and it was no longer listed for sale, including refurbished variants.
Surprisingly, two months later, the iPhone 12 mini 256GB makes a return in its refurbished avatar on Apple’s US website. It is listed at $529, which makes it $50 cheaper than the 128GB refurbished variant ($579) that was sold earlier.
Currently, it is the only iPhone mini smartphone officially sold by Apple. Unfortunately, it is limited to the US.
Apple debuted its inaugural 5G iPhones in the form of the iPhone 12 lineup in the fall of 2020. The series also introduced the ‘mini’ model for the very first time.
Though netizens praised the return of the small form factor, the market preference is towards large-screen phones. Thus, the sales of iPhone 12 mini and its successor iPhone 13 mini tanked compared to the regular and pro models.
Amidst developing China-US tensions, US legislators have proposed a bill to prevent federal agencies from using Chinese blockchain networks. This bill, named the Clarity Act, aims to sever ties with certain Chinese firms, reflecting a broader strategy to maintain the US’s digital control, especially in the Web3 space.
This move comes when US and China are already dealing with data security concerns
The proposed legislation takes direct aim at the Blockchain-based Service Network (BSN) and Conflux Network, amongst others, due to concerns over national security and data privacy. BSN, in particular, has been a cornerstone of China’s blockchain strategy, funded by state-owned entities and designed to advance blockchain use without cryptocurrencies. While BSN attempts to globalize with its Spartan Network, US officials remain wary.
The bill’s introduction reflects a larger narrative of the US seeking to protect its interests in the digital era. While the Clarity Act targets blockchain, it’s part of a bigger picture where the US scrutinizes Chinese technology on all fronts, from TikTok to 5G. The bill also calls for an assessment of risks, including those posed by alternatives to the SWIFT banking network and China’s Belt and Road Initiative.
This legislative move signals a precautionary stance, ensuring sensitive American data doesn’t fall into foreign hands. However, the bill’s success is uncertain, lacking support from key committee leaders. Yet, its very existence confirms a bipartisan understanding that the US must guard its technological frontiers against rivals, especially China. This stance echoes the sentiments of US Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, who advocates for a competitive yet non-confrontational stance towards China.
The popularity of artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics technology is growing rapidly. While many people and companies see this as the future, others are concerned about the potential consequences. For many, the biggest fear is that AI will eventually turn against humanity and bring about our demise. It seems that these fears may be well-founded. In a recent incident in South Korea, a robot worker killed a man after mistaking him for a box. Here are the details…
Deadly Robot Accident Raises Alarms About the Safety of AI-Powered Machines
The tragedy occurred at a factory in Seoul, South Korea. The factory had been using robotic workers to reduce costs, as have many of their competitors. The industrial robot was tasked with lifting and stacking boxes of vegetables onto pallets. This helped the factory save time and money.
However, the industrial robot malfunctioned and a technician from the manufacturer was called to the factory to repair it. While the technician was inspecting the robot, it pushed a transport belt towards the man. The man was crushed by the force of the belt, suffering serious injuries to his chest and face. He was rushed to the hospital but died from his injuries.
Dongseong Agricultural Export Complex, the owner of the facility, has said that they will do everything they can to ensure a safe working environment. The incident has also reignited the debate about the safety of robotic technology. Unfortunately, factories are already dangerous places. While there are advantages to using technology to speed up the workforce, the risks are clear.

The global variant, identified by model number 2312DRAABG, has successfully cleared the NBTC certification, marking a significant step toward its worldwide debut. Users can select from configurations with 6GB, 8GB, or 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM to suit their needs. The software experience is based on MIUI 14, which is built on Android 13.
The camera setup includes a robust 100MP primary camera with an f/1.7 aperture, along with a 2MP depth sensor and LED flash for versatile photography. On the front, there’s a 16MP selfie camera to capture your moments.
The Redmi Note 13 5G features a sizable 5000mAh battery and supports 33W fast charging via a convenient USB Type-C port.
Earlier, the device was also spotted on IMDA, FCC & BIS certification websites hinting that the brand plans to launch it in the global market soon.

After a 14-year journey, Omegle, the popular platform for anonymous online chat, has officially ended its services. The founder, Leif K-Brooks, cited unsustainable financial and psychological pressures as the reasons behind the site’s closure. Omegle, which was launched in 2009, gained fame for connecting users randomly for one-on-one interactions without the need for registration, offering anonymity and a space for social exploration.
End of an Era: Omegle’s Closure Highlights Struggle Against Online Misuse
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Omegle experienced a significant increase in user engagement, serving as a vital social outlet for many isolated individuals. It provided various features, including text, voice, and video chats, as well as the option to filter connections based on shared interests. However, Omegle faced substantial challenges related to misuse, including reports of racism, sexism, pedophilia, and a rise in child sexual abuse and nudity on the platform.
To address these issues, Omegle implemented measures such as moderated chat rooms, collaborations with law enforcement, and raising the minimum age to 18. Nevertheless, the absence of a reliable age verification process often allowed abusive behavior to go unchecked, resulting in severe criticism and scrutiny.
Leif K-Brooks’ decision to close Omegle reflects the complex landscape where the management of such a platform and the battle against its misuse became overwhelming. Despite Omegle’s initial goal of promoting cultural exchanges and offering a space for unbiased advice and companionship, the darker aspects of its use became too challenging to handle. In his farewell message, K-Brooks acknowledged the meaningful connections and even marriages that Omegle facilitated. However, the site’s closure highlights the ongoing concerns about online safety and the responsibilities of digital platforms.
Omegle’s legacy is a mix of positive social connections overshadowed by the harsh realities of online abuse. As the industry moves forward, the void left by Omegle’s departure and the ongoing need for safe online communication spaces remain critical issues for future digital platforms to address.

What sets the Overclock4C apart is its remarkably small size, making it genuinely pocket-sized.
The Overclock4C, known for its compact dimensions, measures just 178 mm x 93.5 mm x 21 mm, making it an exceptionally pocket-sized and highly portable mini PC. Despite its small stature, this device boasts an impressive range of connectivity options, featuring three USB Type-A ports, two USB Type-C ports (one designed for power supply), a 3.5 mm audio port, a Gigabit Ethernet port, and two HDMI 2.0 ports. Under the hood, it packs a punch with its Intel N95 15-watt processor, delivering capable performance. It doesn’t skimp on memory and storage either, offering 16 GB of DDR4 RAM operating at 3200 MHz and a generous 512 GB of storage space.
Moreover, MeLE, the manufacturer, claims a noteworthy 33% performance improvement over its predecessor, the Overclock 3C model. For enhanced connectivity, the Overclock4C also features Bluetooth 5.2 and WiFi 6, ensuring seamless and efficient wireless connections.
Pricing & availability
You can currently find the Overclock4C on Amazon, and it is listed at a price of $270 for the model equipped with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. However, as of November 6, 2023, there is an on-page coupon available that allows you to enjoy a $50 discount, reducing the price to just $220.
