The shape of the box is the same as the previous Vivo phones, which are flat square boxes. When you open the box, there is only one phone lying quietly in the middle. The difference is that this time the accessories are stored in the drawer of the box. You need to pull out the drawer from the bottom to see all the accessories.

In addition to the charger and charging cable, a wired earphone is also included. Vivo should be one of the few manufacturers who still give away wired earphones in the box. There is also a vegan leather case in the same color as the phone, which is very well-made. If you buy it alone, it should cost you a lot of money. If you like to put UV tempered film on your new phone, Vivo also included some protective stickers to prevent UV glue from flowing into the earpiece or buttons to damage the phone.

At first, when I heard that the X Note was 7 inches, I was worried if it was too big for me. But after I saw the X Note, I realized it wasn’t as big as I thought it would be. Maybe you don’t know, but the phones we usually use are already in the 6.8-inch class, so 0.2 inches bigger isn’t a lot bigger.

If you’re used to using your current big-screen phone, then you should get used to this one pretty quickly, too. Although it’s very difficult to control with one hand, other flagship phones aren’t much better than it. Did I mention it has ultrasonic fingerprint recognition? It unlocks with a casual press on the lower middle part of the screen. We’ve seen this feature on the iQOO 9 Pro as well. I think a phone with a large screen should come with this fingerprint recognition, as it’s the best fingerprint recognition I’ve ever used.

There is a mute switch on the side, you have one less reason to buy a OnePlus phone. The X Note weighs 216g, but the huge body even makes it feel light. Aside from the size, the phone is well-made in terms of texture and built quality.

The advantage of a bigger phone is definitely a bigger screen. A 7-inch screen really allows you to immerse yourself in your world. I put the iPad Mini and the X Note together, and the X Note is only a little smaller than the iPad mini’s screen. And the X Note has a better screen, the 120Hz E5 OLED is one of the top screens out there. In the past, because the screen is too small, the split-screen function is rarely used. Now that the screen has reached 7 inches, the area for displaying and controlling two applications is bigger, and I believe more people will love this feature. After all, you buy a big-screen phone for a better video and multitasking experience, right?

The rest of the X Note’s specs are very appealing as well. The processor is Snapdragon 8Gen1. Antutu gets 1.02 million points. The four cameras are the same sensor as the X70 Pro Plus, which also has a Zeiss coating. But there is no Micro Gimbal Stabilization on the ultra-wide camera, the 2x portrait lens has no OIS, and the aperture has become smaller. But this camera system is still very powerful, and you never have to worry about the photographic capabilities of Vivo’s flagship phones.

What’s a bit disappointing is that it only has a 5000mAh battery. With such a large body, I thought it would have at least a 5500mAh battery. But the good news is that the charging power has been upgraded to 80w. Wireless charging has also been upgraded to 50w, but first, you have to buy Vivo’s wireless charging dock.

The Vivo X Note is offered in three storage versions, starting at 6,000 RMB ($942), and it’s clearly a phone for people who like big-screen phones, with no obvious advantages or drawbacks. It meets the needs of business people who need to travel a lot.
