Samsung has started pushing a new software update for the flagship Galaxy S10 series and the mid-range Galaxy A52 4G. The June 2021 Android security patch includes software updates from Samsung for the Galaxy A52 4G and the Galaxy S10 series. The Galaxy A52’s update comes with version number A525FXXS2AUE2. It is now accessible from the Caucasus region and Ukraine, while the builds for the Galaxy S10 series (S10e, S10, and S10+) have firmware version G97xFXXSBFUE6 and are already accessible from Poland.
The Samsung Galaxy A52 4G was released in March 2021. It is a mid-ranger with a 64 MP primary camera, a 6.5-inch display screen, and RAM between 4GB and 8GB. The display features a Super AMOLED, with a 90Hz refresh rate. The Galaxy A52 4G should not be confused with the flagship A52 5G, which has 5G support. The device is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5, with IP67 water and dustproof capacity. The A52 comes with the Android 11 operating system, One UI 3.1, Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G chipset, and Adreno 618 GPU.
Samsung Galaxy A52
The Samsung Galaxy S10 series features a generally smaller screen than the A52 and is less expensive. Most of the S10 models had Android version 9.0 out of the box but are upgradable to Android 11. They also feature a less powerful camera setup than the A52 and a few other features.
If you live in any of the stated regions and you’re yet to get the prompt for an update, you can easily download the security patch manually via your phone’s Settings.
The 10th generation of the Redmi Note series, the king of budget phones, was released 6 months ago. But today, we are looking at the Pro model from China, the Redmi Note 10 Pro. We’ll see how it differs from the Note 9 Pro and what all features have been upgraded or downgraded.
Note that the Redmi Note 10 Pro’s Chinese variant that we have in our hands and the Global variant are two completely different phones. They just share the same name but the features are quite different.
Redmi Note 10 Pro Review: Design
Unlike the Redmi Note 9 Pro, the Note 10 Pro does not bring significant changes in appearance. The metal ring design of the camera and the three-dimensional raster process of the back cover are designs that Xiaomi’s flagship phones have used before. So the first time you see the Redmi Note10 Pro, it doesn’t give the impression of a budget $250 smartphone.
Visually it looks more eye-catching than the Note 9 Pro, but the back cover material has been changed from glass to plastic. So it doesn’t feel as premium as you’d expect. The dual speakers, NFC, and IR blaster are also present, and the fingerprint recognition is also the same as the K40 series without the recessed design, which looks like an ordinary power button. Overall, I’m quite satisfied with the design of the Note 10 Pro, while the plastic back cover and frame also enable a lightweight body with a weight less than 200g. If you don’t have a particular color preference, we recommend buying the white version, which has a three-dimensional raster process and is not as easy to get oil stains as our cyan one.
Redmi Note 10 Pro Review: Display
The Redmi Note 10 Pro’s screen has a few little surprises this time around. This 1080p 120Hz LCD screen is equipped with the same screen display technology as the Mi 10T Pro — AdaptiveSync, which intelligently matches the displayed media frame rate to change the screen refresh rate for a power-saving effect. The screen protection glass used is the latest Corning Gorilla Victus.
This glass is generally reserved only for the best flagship phones. The usual issue of dark edges on an LCD screen is not very serious on the Note 10 Pro either. In addition to the edge of the screen being not very smooth, this screen is considered excellent in its price range.
Redmi Note 10 Pro Review: Hardware & Gaming
Because of the global chip shortage, many low-end and mid-range phones have started using MediaTek chips to ensure sufficient supply, and the Note 10 Pro is no exception. It uses Dimensity 1100 and the main difference compared to Dimensity 1200 is that the large core is clocked down, so the transient output will be weaker.
You can also see this through the various Benchmarks. On Antutu the phone scores 661116, in 3D Mark 3981, in GFXBench OpenGL around 1777, and in 1080P Manhattan 3.1 Offscreen around 4652. These scores are a bit worse than Dimensity 1200 in the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition. Redmi has enhanced the cooling system and equipped the Note 10 Pro with an X-axis linear motor to make the gaming experience better. PUBG HDR Graphics can only run at a maximum frame rate of 40fps. No 90fps frame rate support. PUBG can run at close to full frame rate without a problem, but Genshin Impact and Brightridge reveal the real problem.
Genshin Impact is not only locked to a maximum frame rate cap of 50fps, but it is also not able to sustain 50fps. After nine minutes of downclocking, the frame rate locks between 30fps and 40fps.
The same problem was found in Brightridge, though it had a bit more fluctuation than Genshin Impact. Thankfully because of its plastic body and the fact that the performance output was not as powerful, the temperature did not exceed 50°C throughout the gaming period. Truth be told, this kind of gaming performance is already excellent for a $250 phone. If you want to play games, as long as you are willing to lower some of the Graphics quality, I believe it can provide a good gaming experience.
Redmi Note 10 Pro Review: Camera
The Note 10 Pro’s triple camera system features a 64MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro lens. This camera system is almost identical to the K40 Gaming Edition except for the glass-plastic hybrid lens and aperture. The photos they take are also almost identical. You can hardly notice the difference between them, maybe sometimes the K40 Gaming Edition has a higher dynamic range, but most of the time it’s hard to notice.
So I’ll just conclude: the main camera is average for its price range, and the highlight control is excellent at night with night mode on.
The ultra-wide lens is also average, and the image quality is poor when the light is low. The macro lens is of little use, you can get similar results with the main camera crop, but this camera is almost unusable when the light is low. There is no doubt that its camera quality is a downgrade when compared to the Note 9 Pro, so if you like to take photos, you might have to rethink buying this model.
Macro

Night
Night
The video part is the same as the K40 Gaming Edition, with the main camera supporting up to 4K 30fps and the ultra-wide lens supporting up to 1080P 30fps. You can also see from the video how the image quality performs. If you want a phone with excellent video, just don’t buy a MediaTek chip phone.
JBL’s tuning is also present on the Note 10 Pro this time. You can hear the difference with the K40 Gaming Edition for yourselves.
Redmi Note 10 Pro Review: Charging & Battery Life
A 67w charging head is included in the box. That’s right, the Note 10 Pro supports up to 67w of charging power this time, the same charging power as the K40 Gaming Edition. The charging speed is also similar, topping up to 35% in just 10 minutes, 79% in 30 minutes, and taking 44 minutes for a full charge. Battery capacity has been increased from 4820mAh in Note 9 Pro to 5000mAh. Half an hour of Tiktok and half an hour of 1080P video playback consume 6% each, PUBG uses up 7%, Genshin Impact around 12%, and Brightridge around 11%. It seems that Dimensity 1100 is indeed a more power-efficient chip.
I’m sure you’re wondering if the Redmi Note 10 Pro supports Google Mobile Services, but unfortunately, the latest version doesn’t yet. However, the K40 Gaming Edition has already got perfect support for Google Mobile Service in the latest version of MIUI, so I believe Redmi will also allow the Note 10 Pro to use Google Mobile Service in the near future. So those who like the Note 10 Pro, you can wait for a while.
Redmi Note 10 Pro Review: Verdict
The Redmi Note 10 Pro is mainly upgraded in terms of appearance, screen, performance, and charging power, while the camera system has been downgraded. But the price remains the same. I think Note 9 Pro and Note 10 Pro are more like different choices at the same price point, those who want performance and faster charging, go for the Note 10 Pro, while those who want better photos and video choose the Note 9 Pro.

The Meizu 18 comes in three color variants – Light Blue, White, and Aurora. However, like most phones, you can’t tell which color is which when looking at them from the front view, as all three have the same curved display with black bezels. Now, Meizu has announced a limited edition display with white bezels.
We don’t know why anyone will want to change their phone’s display just because of the color of the bezels, though those who have the white version may want the front to match with the rear. Nevertheless, if you are one of those tired of phones with black bezels, then you are probably excited about this news.
Save for the bezels that are white, the display is the same. So you get a 6.2-inch Super AMOLED panel with a 3200 x 1440 resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a punch hole in the center.
Meizu has made just 88 pieces of this white bezel display, so good luck grabbing one. The price tag is ¥1033 which converts to about $160 and it is expected to go on sale tomorrow.
The Meizu 18 is powered by the Snapdragon 888 processor, up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. There is a 64MP main camera on the back of the device along with an 8MP telephoto camera, and a 16MP ultrawide angle camera. For the front-facing camera, you get a 20MP sensor.
Other features of the flagship are an in-display fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, NFC, Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6E, and a 4000mAh battery with support for 36W fast charging and Power Delivery 3.0. The Meizu 18 runs Flyme 9 based on Android 11.
Xiaomi has launched a new charger in China called Mi GaN Charger 65W 1A1C. As the name suggests, the power adapter uses Gallium Nitride (GaN) instead of silicon. Thus, it is smaller in size when compared to regular 65W chargers. Let’s take a look at its entire specs, features, price, availability, and the meaning of ‘1A1C’ in its name.
Xiaomi Mi GaN Charger 65W 1A1C Specifications and Features
The newly released Xiaomi Mi GaN Charger 65W 1A1C is a new version of the original Mi GaN Charger 65W from last year. Therefore, their model numbers only differ by a single digit. The former bears the model number AD652G, whereas the latter is identified as AD65G.
In fact, both of them have an identical price tag. The only major difference between the two is the number of ports. The older model has a single USB Type-C port. On the other hand, the new model comes with two ports – USB Type-A and USB Type-C. Hence, its name includes the tag ‘1A1C.
1 of 3
The charger supports the USB PD (Power Delivery) standard. So it can be used to charge a wide variety of products, including smartphones, laptops, tablets, handheld gaming consoles, and accessories from various brands.
The USB Type-A port can only support up to 18W. However, the USB Type-C port maxes at 65W. When both the ports are in use, the output rate of the Type-C port drops to 45W, but the Type-A port continues to provide 18W.

Last but not least, the Xiaomi Mi GaN Charger 65W 1A1C measures 31 x 31 x 71.8mm in dimensions, features a foldable pin, comes in a single white color option, and ships with a 1.5m USB Type-C to USB Type-C cable which can withhold up to 5A current.
Xiaomi Mi GaN Charger 65W 1A1C Price and Availability
The Xiaomi Mi GaN Charger 65W 1A1C is priced at ¥149 ($23) in China. It is already up for sale on Xiaomi’s official website. The price of this charger is exactly the same as that of the original Mi GaN Charger 65W from last year.
As of now, there’s no official word from the company regarding the availability of this product outside mainland China. But we can expect Xiaomi to release it in select global markets like the original model.
According to a ZeeNewsreport, Indian Parliament member Arvind Dharampuri has written to IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad regarding the upcoming release of Battlegrounds Mobile India. This letter was sent earlier this month and stated that Dharampuri has received representation against Battlegrounds Mobile India by social activist Sai Kumar. The letter doesn’t call for a ban for the game outright, but rather, points at certain issues brought to Dharampuri that are quite serious, and should warrant a closer look by the government.
The information from Sai Kumar regarding the new game added that while developer Krafton has promised data security by having all data stored in India and Singapore, it will also allow international data transfers. Furthermore, the game’s terms of service will be governed by the laws of South Korea, which is where Krafton Inc is based. Dharampuri further asked the Union Minister to take a close look at Krafton’s investments and agreements with Tencent over security concerns.
For those unaware, there have been calls for the ban of the game in India ever since its announcement last month. Back in May 2021, Arunachal Pradesh MLA Ninong Ering called for the ban of the game along with MP Abhishek Singhvi as it would enable Tencent to re-enter the Indian market. That is all the information we have at the moment, so stay tuned for more updates.
Samsung has been working on its next-generation foldable smartphone under the Galaxy Fold series, dubbed Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3. It’s almost confirmed that the phone will feature an in-display camera sensor.
Now, a new report coming from Ice Universe suggests that the South Korean giant has opted to go with a different approach for implementation of under-display camera technology for better results.
Fold3's UPC transmittance is as high as 40%+, which is much higher than any other brand UPC solutions you have ever seen.
The company will reportedly use technology that works by dividing the display into two portions — a small area with a different pixel structures and lower resolution than the main screen that allows light to get to the camera sensor, along with the main display.
So, with this new type of implementation, what you get is an unbroken screen. But the downside is that the camera is visible on light backgrounds, something that the current implementation on ZTE Axon 20 5G takes care of.
But the upside for this new approach for the under-display camera sensor is that it has a higher light transmittance than the existing solutions, resulting in better image quality for the photos captured. To know for sure how the camera technology implementation looks and what the results are, we will have to wait for the official launch.
Given that it’s a pretty new technology and only a couple of companies have made it to the commercial phase, we expect to see rapid and noteworthy development in the coming months as more companies jump the bandwagon.
An Oppo A53 unit has just recently exploded in the pockets of a customer in India. A video that was published on YouTube reveals the detail of this occurrence, which was apparently caused by an issue in the device’s large 5,000mAh battery pack.
According to a video by YouTube channel, Technical Dost, the smartphone model from the Chinese tech giant exploded in the pocket of an Indian user. The video even showcased the aftermath of this event, with the device’s burnt rear panel being in full view. The explosion caused the lower half of the rear panel to almost completely burn away, making the internal components of the handset visible.
On the other hand, the user himself sustained injuries due to this incident. One leg of the user suffered from burns, and looking at the destroyed A53 model, it is clear that the explosion was quite severe. The smartphone brand has yet to make any official statements regarding this matter and has yet to even acknowledge this incident as of right now. Although, we can expect the company to investigate this accident so as to avoid the public relations nightmare Samsung faced back with the launch of its Galaxy Note 7.
As per the video, the Oppo A53 device was purchased back in August 2020, which means that the smartphone was still under warranty. The user stated that he only used the handset to browse the internet and to make calls. It was also revealed in the video that the Indian user used the original charger of the device, so we can rule out the possibility of a faulty third party charger. We’ll provide updates if any notable developments or additional information surfaces regarding this matter. So stay tuned for more.
Last week, the entire specifications of the vivo Y73 leaked. A couple of days later, the company officially started teasing the release of this smartphone. Earlier today, the firm finally revealed the launch date. Additionally, an unboxing and review video of the phone has been posted by a YouTuber.
The vivo Y73 is scheduled to launch in India on June 10 at 12 PM. Also, the company has officially uncovered the design of the smartphone by sharing multiple teasers via its social media handles.
Further, a YouTuber has uploaded an unboxing and review video of the vivo Y73 as well. As per the video, the handset with model number V2059 will ship with a protective case and a pair of basic wired earphones.
The video also reveals the device to sport an AG glass back. Previously, it was thought to feature a plastic back like most budget and mid-range smartphones.
According to the specs leak, the handset will flaunt a 6.44-inch FHD+ HDR10-certified AMOLED display with a dewdrop notch. It will be powered by a MediaTek Helio G95 chipset coupled with 8GB RAM (+3GB optional extended virtual RAM) and 128GB internal storage.
The phone will house a 64MP + 2MP (depth) + 2MP (macro) triple camera setup on the back and a 16MP selfie camera on the front. It will come with dual-SIM, 4G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C port, 3.5mm headphone jack, and a dedicated MicroSD card slot.
The device will run Funtouch OS 11.1 based on Android 11 and will be backed by a 4,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. The phone will measure 161.24 x 74.37 x 7.38mm in dimensions, weigh 170g, and will be available in three colors.
Last but not least, the vivo Y73 is expected to go official for ₹20,990 ($288).
Samsung is gearing up for the launch of its latest generation of foldable smartphones, namely the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and the Galaxy Z Fold 3. While various rumors and reports have already surfaced regarding the device, the latest leak has revealed interesting information regarding the prices of the upcoming handsets.
Previously, the South Korean tech giant had launched the Galaxy Z Flip for a price of 1,380 US Dollars back in 2020. Similarly, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 arrived later the same year with a 1,999 US Dollar price tag. It was expected that the successors to these models would arrive at a similar price point but according to a new leak from SamMobile, the next gen models of both lineups will be priced lower than their predecessors by a notable margin.
The report added that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Galaxy Z Flip 3 will be up to 20 percent cheaper than their predecessor. In other words, the upcoming foldable smartphones could be almost around 400 US Dollars cheaper for their top end models. This marks a significant reduction in price for an ultra high end handset from Samsung, and also implies the reducing price tags of foldable devices in the near future. As of right now, foldable smartphones are luxury devices that cost anywhere around 2,000 US Dollars.

This high price tag deters even smartphone enthusiasts from purchasing such a product. But with prices falling down to around 1,600 US Dollars, this makes it more in line with top end variants of premium grade flagship devices. Unfortunately, the exact pricing of both smartphones is still unknown at the moment. Furthermore, the pricing of smartphones is also different across various countries. We can also expect the smartphone maker to offer new promos with pre order incentives to boost the sales of its upcoming foldable smartphones. It is currently uncertain when exactly these foldable handsets will be unveiled but the launch is expected in the coming month.
Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Watch4 alongside its next-gen foldables in July or August. The smartwatch will be accompanied by yet another wearable called Galaxy Watch Active4. These two products are in the news for months now. Since they are about to release, they have started receiving necessary certifications.
Samsung Galaxy Watch3 | Source: Samsung
The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Watch4 has been certified by SGS Fimko. The certification reveals the battery capacity and charging speed of the smartwatch.
According to the listing spotted by 91Mobiles, the Galaxy Watch4 with model numbers SM-R865F and SM-R860 will be backed by a 247mAh battery with support for 5W charging. These two model numbers could belong to the 41mm variant since Galaxy Watch3 41mm features a 240mAh battery.
However, one of the reports from Korea tipped 42mm and 46mm sizes for the Watch4. But an earlier finding by Max Weinbachrevealed 41mm and 45mm. In other words, the exact sizes of this smartwatch are still a mystery.
According to previous reports, both the Galaxy Watch4 and the Galaxy Watch Active4 will boot the new revamped Wear OS designed by Google in partnership with Samsung and Fitbit. The wearables will be available in Bluetooth-only and cellular variants.
Last but not least, they will lack support for non-invasive blood sugar (glucose) level monitoring.
The Tecno Spark 7 series includes three phones such as Spark 7, Spark 7P, and Spark 7 Pro. Among these, the company has already launched the Spark 7 and 7 Pro handsets in India. The Chinese brand has now confirmed that it will be announcing a new smartphone called the Spark 7T at 12 PM on June 11 in India. A fresh report by 91mobileshas revealed the entire specifications of the smartphone before the launch.
The landing page of the upcoming Tecno Spark 7T on Amazon India shows that it has a 6.5-inch HD+ display that offers HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels, a 269ppi pixel density, and a 90.34 percent screen-to-body ratio. The promo shots of the phone show that it has a dual front-firing flash for the selfie camera.
Its back panel features a 48-megapixel dual-camera system and a quad-LED flash unit. The device is backed by a 6,000mAh battery, which does not seem to support fast charging. The handset will ship HiOS 7.6 based Android 11 OS, and it has a rear-facing fingerprint scanner.

Tecno Spark 7T specifications (Rumored)
Citing reliable tipster Ishan Agarwal as the source, the publication revealed that the Spark 7T has a 6.52-inch display and it runs on Android 11 OS. For selfies, it has a front camera of 8-megapixel, and its rear camera setup has a 48-megapixel primary camera and an unknown secondary lens.
The Helio G35 chipset will power the device with 4 GB of RAM. It will come in internal storage choices such as 64 GB and 128 GB, and it will feature a microSD card slot for more storage. The handset weighs 205 grams and measures 10mm in thickness. It may arrive in colors like Nebula Orange, Magnet Black, and Jewel Blue.
A Huawei subsidiary has just invested in the field of lithography, which marks the company’s entry into tech related to chip production. The move from the company likely arrives to deal with the US sanctions and ‘forge a complete chip industry chain’.
The Hubble Technology Investment, a unit of the Chinese tech giant, recently invested 82 million Yuan (12.8 million US Dollars) in Beijing RSLaser Opto-Electronics Technology Co. This makes the investment unit the seventh largest stakeholder of the company that focuses on light source systems, which is one of the three core technologies of lithograph based machines. The investment unit from the Chinese brand was established back in 2019 and has investments in about 28 semiconductor based firms.
Fu Liang, a veteran telecom industry analyst told GlobalTimes that “Huawei’s move is mainly intended to offset loopholes and shortcomings caused by US restrictions while supporting enterprises with high recognition to produce a higher level of products through investments. This is crucial for reducing China’s reliance on certain countries and enterprises in the global semiconductor industry.” For those unaware, Huawei has been forced to rely on domestic foundries that fabricate 14 to 28nm chips since it had its chip supply for the advanced TSMC 7nm chips cut off by US sanctions.
Furthermore, analysts added that lithography machines are key to building an ecosystem of the chip industry. This paired with the fact that RSLaser Opto-Electronics was the first to independently design and develop the first domestic high energy excimer laser, which broke the long term monopoly that was held by overseas manufacturers. Fu further added that “Lithography machines and light sources determine the degree of precision of chips, but the global supply is still dominated by certain enterprises, so Huawei’s investment in the lithography field aims to reduce its reliance on foreign companies.”

The OPPO Reno6 that has a model number of PEQM00 went official as the first Dimensity 900 SoC powered smartphone last month. Now a mysterious OPPO phone with CPH2251 has appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking site. It remains to be seen whether it arrives an entirely new OPPO phone with D900 or debuts as a global version of the Reno6 5G.
The Geekbench listing shows that the OPPO CPH2251 is powered by the MediaTek chip with MT6877V/ZA model name. Past reports have revealed that this model number belongs to the Dimensity 900 chipset.
The benchmarking site further shows that the CPH2251 has 8 GB of RAM. It runs on Android 11 OS, which is likely to overlaid with a skin of ColorOS 11. It scored 729 in the single-core test, and 2147 in the multi-core test. Before appearing at Geekbench, the CPH2251 was previously seen at Indonesia’s TKDN certification platform, but it did not reveal any information on its specs.
It is known that OPPO smartphones that are released in markets outside China have “CPH” in their model numbers. OPPO launched the Reno6 5G in May, which suggests that it is unlikely to launch another Dimensity 900 powered so soon. Hence, it appears that the CPH2251 could be the global version of Reno6 5G.
