The Realme GT Neo is set to go official on March 31 in China. Ahead of the launch, the smartphone has paid a visit to the Geekbench benchmarking platform. The listing reveals that the smartphone will be available in a 12 GB RAM variant.
The Realme RMX3031 handset that has appeared on Geekbench today is the Realme GT Neo smartphone. The 6 GB RAM and 8 GB RAM variants of the handset were seen at Geekbench earlier this month. As can be seen in the screenshot below, the GT Neo may also arrive in a 12 GB RAM version.
As it is already known, the Realme GT Neo is powered by the Dimensity 1200 chipset and it runs on Android 11 OS. The 12 GB RAM variant of the smartphone scored 975 in the single-core test and 3320 in the multi-core test of Geekbench.
Ahead of the launch, Realme is gradually revealing the key feature of the Realme GT Neo. Today, it confirmed that the smartphone will come equipped with dual stereo speakers coupled with Dolby Atmos support.
The company also confirmed that the device is powered by a 4,500mAh battery and it weighs only 179 grams. Robot vacuum cleaners are slowly and steadily finding a place in normal households across the globe and manufacturers are investing heavily and bringing new products every now and then to entice customers.
Roborock, a brand that is a part of the Xiaomi family and specializes in robotic vacuum cleaners, has now launched its new T7S lineup which includes three vacuum cleaners — T7S, T7S Plus, and T7S bundled with Automatic Dust Collection and Charging Dock.
The devices generate sound wave vibrations to wipe the floor and come with an omnidirectional floating rubber brush. The company says that it has a coffee stains removal efficiency of 91.419 percent with a single-use, thanks to the device’s support for 3,000 linear transverse acoustic vibrations per minute.
The ultrasonic sensor accurately recognizes the carpet and automatically stops the water supply so it doesn’t get wet while cleaning. Thanks to AI, it also suggests different types of modes for cleaning.
Roborock T7S is equipped with the RR Mason algorithm, which optimizes the zigzag algorithm, reduces repetition, and improves efficiency. The surround algorithm has also been improved and the route is smarter in a multi-table and chair-leg environment.
The battery capacity is 5200mAh which offers around 2.5 hours of battery life and can clean up to 250 square meters at a time. The devices are currently on pre-sale in China and will soon be available for purchase.
The Roborock T7S costs 2,999 yuan but the pre-sale price is 2,499 yuan. On the other hand, the T7S Plus is priced at 3,499 yuan but can be purchased for 2,799 yuan during the pre-sale period. The model which comes with a Dust Collector and Charging Stand can be purchased for 4,099 yuan instead of its regular price of 4,899 yuan.

The world’s leading smartphone manufacturer, Samsung Electronics, has announced that the domestic sales of the company’s new flagship smartphone lineup — the Galaxy S21 series, has surpassed the 1 million units mark last week.
As per the claims by Samsung, the Galaxy S21 series, which was released on 29th January, has managed to achieve this milestone in 57 days of its launch. This is about one month faster than its predecessor.
Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra
While the pace of sales for the new lineup seems faster than its predecessor, it is still slower than the S10 series launched in the year 2019, which topped the 1 million mark for its units in just 47 days.
Samsung usually announces its new S-series flagship smartphones around mid-February every year but this time, the company launched the Samsung Galaxy S21 series in the month of January, that too with comparatively lower price tags.
In South Korea, the S21 was priced at 999,900 won (~$880), which is cheaper than the low-end S20 last year priced at 1.24 million won. This has also helped the company boost its sales numbers within this time frame.
The Samsung Galaxy S21 accounted for 52 percent of the total S21-series sales, followed by the Galaxy S21 Ultra with 27 percent and Galaxy S21 Plus with 21 percent. The lineup accounted for 20 percent of the company’s total sales in South Korea and 60 percent of them were purchased online.
Razer announced an N95 respirator at CES 2021 dubbed Project Hazel. The product was unveiled as a concept product but in a new twist, Razer CEO Min-Liang Tan has disclosed in an interview with Yahoo Finance that “Project Hazel is going to be a reality”.
With the uncertainty surrounding the rollout of COVID 19 vaccines globally and the continued rise in the number of cases and mortality rates, the use of nose masks won’t stop any time soon and that is apparently why Project Hazel is being transformed from concept to reality.
The mask utilizes detachable and rechargeable ventilators that also serve as voice amplifiers as there are microphones embedded inside. The outside is made from waterproof and scratch-resistant recycled plastic with a glossy finish.
In Razer’s trademark manner, the nose mask is designed with RGB Chroma lighting which allows the two ventilators to glow, and even automatically shine light onto your mouth when it gets dark, so others can see you speaking. It equally comes with adjustable ear loops.
There is no word yet on when Razer will release the respirator or the price tag it will adopt. We expect the company to fast track the process as the product will still need to get approved and certified by the US Food and Drug Administration, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, or Occupational Safety and Health Administration as well as any relevant authority in the regions where the company plans to sell it.

News emerged earlier last week, precisely on Tuesday, that the Suez Canal which is one of the world’s most-important waterways was blocked by a Panama-registered vessel Ms. EverGreen. The ship is said to have run aground due to high wind but human error isn’t completely ruled out at this point.
The blockade has lingered for almost a week and has left hundreds of ships waiting on both sides of the canal which is a 200km shortcut from Asia to Europe, connecting the Red sea to the Meditteranean sea.
Strategy Analytics has now predicted that the blockade could have an effect on the already battered smartphone industry but the effect won’t be much. The industry is already faced with a shortage of chips, also affecting tablets, laptops, TVs, and cars.
The research firm estimates that the Suez Canal record less than 5% of global smartphone logistics flow. A lot of these components are shipped worldwide using other sea routes or by airplanes. However, if an impact will be felt by the smartphone industry, Strategy Analytics thinks it will be through volatile oil prices. Most of the vessels that are held up at the Suez Canal are oil-laden vessels. Thus, the delay may lead to yet another upset for the volatile commodity. A rise in the price of fuel will affect delivery trucks and factories that rely on generators and could lead to a slight price increase.
Efforts are still underway to try to evacuate the ship, said to be the size of 9 football pitches and as tall as the Empire State building, from the position of obstruction.
Last week was a very eventful one. No fewer than fifteen new phones were announced across the globe. However, phone launches were not only the big announcements. There were a few goodbyes too in the smartphone industry. Here’s a recap of the top stories from last week:
POCO has a new flagship killer and a mid-range killer too
POCO announced two new phones last week that marked its return to its roots of making unbeatable value-for-money smartphones. After years of waiting for a true POCO F1 successor, the new POCO F3 (actually a rebadged Redmi K40) arrived as the brand’s latest flagship killer. But it didn’t come alone. POCO also announced the POCO X3 Pro, a mid-range phone with a Snapdragon 800-series processor. Yes, the new Snapdragon 860 (the snapdragon 855+ in a new skin) is a chipset made for mid-range phones and it arrived first in this new phone. Both phones are super affordable and pack pretty interesting features. Do check out our review of the POCO X3 Pro.
Black Shark 4
Black Shark 4 Series – speed is matters
China’s Black Shark announced two new gaming smartphones last week – the Black Shark 4 and the Black Shark 4 Pro. Powered by the Snapdragon 870 and Snapdragon 888 processors respectively, these two gaming beasts pack more than just powerful chipsets. They also charge super-fast, supporting 120W fast wired charging; have incredibly fast storage (SSD on the pro model), and are stunning too.
Motorola’s first Snapdragon 800-series powered Moto G phone launched too. The Moto G100 has a Snapdragon 870 processor inside it, six cameras in total, and some software features, one of which allows you to use the phone as a desktop computer when hooked up to a monitor and paired to a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse. It didn’t come alone either. The Moto G50, a budget 5G phone, also tagged along.
Honor V40 Light Luxury Edition
Honor’s new products – a phone and tablet for China and a fitness tracker for global markets
The Honor V40 Light Luxury Edition and the Honor Pad 7 tablet were announced in China. The former has a curved 90Hz OLED display, a 5G processor, 64MP quad rear cameras, and 66W fast charging. The Honor Pad 7 is an Helio P22T-powered 10-inch device targeted at students. It comes in LTE and Wi-Fi-only variants. The Honor Band 6 also got a global launch last week, three months after it was announced in China.
Last year’s Mi 10 Ultra was not only Xiaomi’s highest-end flagship but also one of the best premium phones released. Sadly, the device is China-exclusive and not sold in other regions. A leak has revealed that two of the phones Xiaomi plans to release tomorrow will also not be made available outside its home country.
According to the Twitter account, Xiaomiui (@xiaomiui), the Mi 11 Pro will not get a global launch as it will be exclusive to China. In a quoted response to the original tweet, the account says the new Mi MIX phone codenamed “cetus” will also be exclusive to China. However, both devices will be announced at the global event.
Also new Mi MIX device (cetus) only also only for China. But they will introduce on Global launch 🙂 https://t.co/cL5bh3hGJI
It is not all bad news. In a reply to a question under the original tweet, the account revealed that the Mi 11 Ultra will be available for global markets including India. This should be good news for those who wanted the Mi 10 Ultra but couldn’t get their hands on it. However, there is a chance availability will differ with respect to markets.
For those sad about the upcoming Mi MIX which is expected to be a foldable phone, if earlier reports are to be believed, Xiaomi has plans to launch three foldable phones this year. So there is a high chance that at least one of them will be available globally.
The Mi 11 Ultra is not the only phone launching tomorrow that will be available outside China. The Mi 11 Lite will also be available for global markets and it will be announced in 4G and 5G variants.
Since there is no confirmation about the info above, we advise our readers to take it with a pinch of salt.
After years of fans requesting this feature, Xiaomi is finally launching a phone that is waterproof. The manufacturer has announced that the Mi 11 Ultra, which will be unveiled tomorrow, will have an IP68 rating.
For years, fans have demanded a fully waterproof device from Xiaomi, but instead, it had settled for just making phones with protection against splashes. That changes with the Mi 11 Ultra. The phone will be water-resistant up to 1.5 meters and for a duration of 30 minutes.
Xiaomi has also said that the phone will be the first to have a gas (Helium) release valve, allowing you to release the built-up pressure inside the device. A Helium Release Valve is found in professional diving watches, and it allows divers to release the built-up pressure caused by helium gas molecules that got into the watch. If not released, the pressure can damage the watch and even cause the dial to pop off.
The Mi 11 Ultra will have a QHD+ AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and a punch hole for the front-facing camera. Powering it will be Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 processor. The flagship phone will also come with Samsung’s 50MP ISOCELL GN2 sensor, the largest mobile camera sensor in the world. There will also be a 48MP ultrawide angle camera, and a periscope lens camera that brings up to 120X zoom.
The flagship will have a 5000mAh battery with support for 67W fast wired charging, 67W fast wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging. Xiaomi will ship it with Android 11 based on MIUI 12.5.
Tomorrow is Xiaomi’s big event and it plans to announce several products, one of which is the Mi 11 Lite/Mi 11 Youth. Ahead of the launch, Xiaomi has revealed the processor that will power the smartphone in addition to some other details.
In one of its Weibo posts promoting the phone, Xiaomi revealed that it will come with the spanking new Snapdragon 780 5G processor that was announced a few days ago. This means the Mi 11 Lite will be the first smartphone to be powered by the new chipset.
The Snapdragon 780G 5G processor is the first 5nm Snapdragon 700 series chipset. It has eight CPU cores arranged in a 1+3+4 core arrangement. The prime core and the three main cores are based on the Cortex-A78 while the remaining four cores are based on the Cortex-A55. The chipset also comes with the new Adreno 642 GPU, the Spectra 570 ISP that allows for simultaneous image capturing from three cameras, and a Snapdragon X53 modem that brings up to 3.3 Gbps download speeds.
Xiaomi has also disclosed that the Mi 11 Lite will be the lightest and thinnest Mi phone in history. Another teaser poster that was shared on the internet shows the size of the bezels of the phone.
The Mi 11 Lite will come with a flat display with a hole punch at the top left corner for the front-facing camera. The bezels on the side and at the top are said to be 1.88 millimeters thick while the bottom bezel is 2.75 millimeters.
It has been reported that the phone will have a 6.55-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen with a 90Hz refresh rate. It will have 64MP triple rear cameras, a 20MP selfie camera, up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, and a 4250mAh battery capacity along with support for 33W fast wired charging.

Despite most of the eyes are actually on Xiaomi and Realme, there is another brand releasing several affordable phones with an amazing quality price ratio: Motorola. The Lenovo-owned company recently came up with the Moto G10 Power: one of the best battery phones out there. Due to its huge battery, after the release, we thought a comparison between budget battery phones would be useful for those who wanted this kind of device in the first half of 2021. If you want a recent battery phone in the same price range, you actually have several choices. Among the best ones, there are Realme Narzo 30A and the Redmi Note 10S by Xiaomi. Here is an in-depth specs comparison.
Motorola Moto G10 Power vs Realme Narzo 30A vs Xiaomi Redmi Note 10S
The Motorola Moto G10 Power and the Realme Narzo 30A have similar design patterns: it looks like they copied each other. But the device providing the best design is actually the Redmi Note 10S: indeed, it is the only one with a punch-hole display and it features a higher screen-to-body ratio. Further, it has the IP53 certification which guarantees protection against splashes and dust. Motorola Moto G10 Power has a water-repellent coating, but it does not have any certification. While Motorola Moto G10 Power and Realme Narzo 30A sport a rear-mounted fingerprint reader, the Redmi Note 10S has a side-mounted scanner.
Display
The most advanced display belongs to the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10S. Despite it is a lower-midrange phone, it features a great AMOLED panel. Unfortunately, you do not get a high refresh rate, but you get a better image quality with more brilliant colors and deeper blacks. It even features a higher peak brightness with up to 1100 nits. Last but not least, unlike its two rivals, it provides a Full HD+ resolution with 1080 x 2400 pixels. The Motorola Moto G10 Power and the Realme Narzo 30A sport below-average displays with HD+ resolutions and IPS technology.
Hardware/Software
If you need the most powerful phone, then you should go for the Redmi Note 10S because it features a stronger Helio G95 chipset by MediaTek. The second place goes to the Realme Narzo 30A with its Helio G85, but the Moto G10 Power offers all the reliability of the Snapdragon 460 chipset built with a better 11 nm production process. Besides providing a better chipset, the Redmi Note 10S has better memory configurations with up to 8 GB of RAM and up to 128 GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage, while you get just 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage with Realme Narzo 30A and Motorola Moto G10 Power.
Camera
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 10S is the best even when it comes to the camera department: it sports a 64 MP main camera which is actually superior to its two rivals and captures a higher level of detail. The secondary sensors are the same as the Motorola Moto G10 Power, including an 8 MP ultrawide lens and a pair of 2 MP sensors for macros and depth info. The Realme Narz0 30A is disappointing with its 13 MP main camera aided by just a 2 MP monochromatic sensor.
Battery
Motorola Moto G10 Power is the best battery phone of the comparison thanks to its 6000 mAh battery paired with an 11 nm chipset. Right after, we got the Realme Narzo 30A which can achieve very similar results. Redmi Note 10S is the inferior one but it features faster charging technology with 33W power.
Motorola Moto G10 Power vs Realme Narzo 30A vs Xiaomi Redmi Note 10S: Price
Motorola Moto G10 Power is priced at €120/$142 in the Indian market, Redmi Note 10S starts from €190/$225, and Realme Narzo 30A costs €108/$128. The winner of the comparison is Redmi Note 10S, but the Motorola Moto G10 Power can let you save a lot of money if you do not mind having the best display and chipset.
After bringing the updates to the flagship devices, Motorola has started rolling out the Android 11 update for the Moto G 5G Plus.
Moto G 5G Plus launched back in July 2020 with Android 10 out of the box. Months after the official announcement of Google, the Android 11 OS is now rolling out to the users of the device in Brazil. An update with firmware version RPN31.Q4U-39-27-5 with a download size of 1.08GB is rolling out.
The update brings Android 11 features like Conversation notifications, Chat bubbles, a built-in screen recorder, media controls in the Quick Settings panel, Smart Device controls, and more. Along with this, the update also brings the February 2021 security patch to the Moto G 5G Plus.
Coming back, this firmware version is only for the dual-SIM variant of the Moto G 5G Plus with the model number XT2075-3-DS. Hence, users in other regions will have to wait till Motorola officially expands the rollout.
We aren’t sure if the device would get the next Android 12 as of now, but we can expect security patches from Motorola. For now, if you are in Brazil, you can navigate to Settings > System > Advanced > System update to check out the new update.
It is not unusual for phone manufacturers to have certain models that are exclusive to select markets. Realme‘s V-series of smartphones is an example and it is exclusive to China. The manufacturer plans to announce a new model next week which will arrive as the Realme V13.
The Realme V13 is coming two months after the Realme V15. It has a design that can be called a mash-up of the Realme V15 and the Realme V11 5G. On the front, it has a hole-punch display like the former while the rear with its camera housing is similar to the latter.
The poster above shared on Weibo by a user named “Arsenal” shows the Realme V13 will have its punch hole at the top left corner of the screen. We don’t know the type of display, even if we can see that it has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, but the poster says the screen has a 90Hz refresh rate. Other details the poster reveals include a 5G processor, a 5000mAh battery capacity, and 256GB of storage. It also has an audio jack and a USB-C port at the bottom and will be available in blue and black.
According to the source that posted the image, the phone shares similar specs to the Realme V5 and Realme Q2 but has a Dimensity 700 processor powering it. He also adds that the phone will have 8GB of RAM and a price tag of ¥1799 (~$275). It will go on sale on March 31 and be sold offline.
