The Apple iPhone 11 launched as the go-to iPhone late last year. This handset was the top-selling smartphone of the world in Q1 2020. But how’s its audio performance? According to DxOMark, it performs as good as its bigger sibling iPhone 11 Pro Max.
The iPhone 11 was recently reviewed by the DxoMak Audio team and it bagged an overall score of 71 points just like the Pro Max. Currently, it sits beneath the Oppo Find X2 Pro with 74 points.
As per DxOMark, the audio performance of iPhone 11 is similar to the iPhone 11 Pro Max with only one noticeable difference. The maximum volume level sounds lower due to slightly smaller speakers. But the phone scores better in timbre and artifacts compared to the higher model.
Further, the speakers on the handset have a good dynamic performance. But they lack proper stereo rotation when playing music in landscape orientation. Also, they lack bass extension opposed to other high-end smartphones.
As for recording, the iPhone11 does well in timbre, background, and dynamics. But it lacks timbre in live video, which in turn impairs timbre and envelope performances.
Lastly, although it records at great volume with fewer artifacts, the microphones do not have good directivity. Also, there’s no stereo support for memo and meeting recording.
Charging mobile phones and other gadgets outdoors is a major challenge, especially in areas where there is no electricity. Even a power bank doesn’t offer a permanent solution as it too can run out of power when used for long. Here comes the idea of a solar power bank. This has been around for quite some time but Xiaomi is just joining the fray with a new solar power bank launched on the Youpin platform. YEUX solar mobile power bank is suitable for long outdoor travel scenarios such as cycling, mountaineering and camping. It costs 349 yuan (~$49).
The YEUX solar mobile power bank uses high-sensitivity, high-conversion, single-crystal silicon solar panels. The conversion rate is greatly improved compared to traditional solar panels. It can also be recharged on rainy days. The charging panel can be hung on a backpack to charge while on the move.
The charging board adopts solar chip technology to automatically detect the intensity of sunlight to match the optimal power supply scheme for the load (green light indicates better sunlight, the yellow light indicates average, and the red light indicates weaker sunlight).
The solar charger packs a built-in 6400 mAh lithium polymer battery. The solar charger keeps the battery recharged when there is no electricity. However, where there is a power source, the battery can be recharged directly.
It uses a three-output interface design, two USB-A interfaces with a maximum output of 5V/3A each, and a Type-C interface with a maximum output of 5V/3A, which can charge mobile phones, tablets, digital cameras, other power banks and other devices. There is also a Micro-USB input interface with a maximum input of 5V/2A.
The power bank is wrapped with encrypted Oxford cloth with high light transmittance and ageing resistance. The clothing has a PU coating which ensures it is waterproof and doesn’t smell over time.
Xiaomi launched the Fengmi 4K Laser Projector last year in China and the product was well received. The brand has now unveiled the Fengmi 4K Laser Projector Pro. The new product is presently on sale on Xiaomi Youpin for 12,799 yuan (around $1,800). To recall, the first-gen model was sold for 10,999 yuan.
How this model differs from its predecessor is that the brightness of the Fengmi Laser TV 4K Cinema Pro has been increased from 1700 ANSI lumens to 2400 ANSI lumens. Also, the projectable size has been increased from 100 inches to 150 inches.
The Fengmi 4K Laser Projector Pro brings support for 4K resolution which is four times the resolution of a 1080p screen. For a giant 150-inch screen which it supports, that means a mammoth screen on ultra-sharp and clear content. The Pro version is powered by a high-performance Amlogic T972 chip with a maximum clock frequency of 1.9GHz. The chipset is said to have a performance improvement of 63% with 55% reduction in power consumption compared to the Amlogic T962 chipset used on the previous generation. The chipset is also claimed to the first to support 8K video decoding.
Further, the 4K Laser projector packs 3GB of LPDDR4 memory which should guarantee smooth execution of tasks by the projector. It features three HDMI 2.0b interfaces which can be deployed to connect hard disk players, U disks, game consoles, computers, etc.
In addition, the Fengmi Laser TV 4K Cinema Pro uses a 0.23:1 large depth of field ultra-short-focus lens design which can be placed on a TV cabinet to project a large screen of 80-150 inches. It uses the ALPD 3.0 laser fluorescent display technology with up to 16-18% red light ratio. As such, the character and natural colour reproduction is more realistic. The service life of the light source is more than 25,000 hours, and you can watch more than 10,000 movies.
In terms of content, Fengmi Laser TV 4K Cinema Pro no longer uses the MIUI TV system, but its own FengOS system, which supports customized homepage, full-screen content preview, and intelligent voice recognition.

Every time Redmi is launching a new handset, Realme comes with a perfect rival and vice versa. The latest best-buys launched by the two brands are Redmi Note 9S and Realme 6S: you can get both for less than €200 in the global market and they both provide very high performances at affordable prices. Another interesting budget phone launched in the last days is the Oppo A52. This specs comparison will help you make your choice if you are looking for the best and most recent device sold for less than €200.

Design
With their punch-hole displays, these three handsets look very modern despite their very affordable prices. If you want the best materials, you should go for the Redmi Note 9S since it is built with a glass back. But I like the Realme 6s more due to its less intrusive camera module and its smaller dimensions. I would not go for the Oppo A52 due to its bigger camera module and due to the fact that it does not offer any protection against water, while Redmi Note 9S and Realme 6s are splash resistant.
Display
Realme 6s is equipped with the most exciting display as it is the only one to feature a high 90 Hz refresh rate. Redmi Note 9S has a wider panel, but it has a standard 60 Hz refresh rate just like the Oppo A52. In each case, you get an average IPS display with a Full HD+ resolution, so no huge differences in terms of image quality. That is why Realme 6s wins the display comparison without any doubt.
Specs & Software
Here is a hard fight between Realme 6s and Redmi Note 9S. A lot of people prefer Qualcomm chipsets (like the Snapdragon 720G found on the Redmi Note 9S), but MediaTek Helio G90T is a very powerful SoC with high CPU and GPU performances. However, we are going to give the hardware award to the Redmi Note 9S since it comes in a configuration with more RAM and more internal storage (6/128 GB), while Realme 6s is only available in a 4/64 GB version. If you need better hardware with the same specifications as the Realme 6s, go for the Realme 6 which offers up to 8 GB of RAM. Oppo A52 has lower performance due to its Snapdragon 665, but it is the only with stereo speakers. Android 10 is naturally preinstalled on each of these devices.
Camera
On the paper, the rear camera setup offered by the Redmi Note 9S is the best one. But there are just marginal differences if we compare it to the Realme 6s: it has a 5 MP macro sensor instead of the 2 MP macro lens found on the Realme 6s. Instead, the Oppo A52 loses the battle due to its inferior main sensor with a 12 MP resolution, as well as an inferior front camera.
Battery
Unfortunately, we still had no chance to test the battery life of all of these devices. Judging from the specifications, Redmi Note 9S (which comes with more or less the same battery capacity as the Oppo A52) should last more in a lot of scenarios due to its more efficient chipset built at 8 nm. Realme 6s will most likely be the one with the shortest battery life (still a good battery phone, tho), but it charges a lot faster because of its smaller battery capacity and the fastest charging technology.
Price
Both Realme 6s and Oppo A52 start at €199/$219 globally. Redmi Note 9S begins at €229, but you can easily find it for less than €200 thanks to street prices. The Redmi Note 9S is definitely interesting in that price segment because it offers a huge battery and an amazing Qualcomm chipset, but despite its smaller battery, Realme 6s remains a valid alternative due to its high performances and 90 Hz display. In regards to the Oppo A52, wait for its price to drop.
Xiaomi sells a number of products and one of them is laptops. Unfortunately, they are limited to China and the company has never made them available outside its home country. Thankfully, it is going to change soon as executives of Xiaomi India has begun to tease the launch of Mi laptops in the country.
𝐈𝐓'𝐒 𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄 !!
Mi fans, you have waited and waited and waited. And now, IT's TIME!
Whenever Xiaomi is set to launch a new product in India, it is first teased by Manu Kumar Jain, the managing director of Xiaomi India, followed by other top-level executives. The same has happened for the launch of Mi branded laptops in the country.
One might be wondering why we are confident that it will be a Mi Notebook. That’s because the hashtag they are using clearly says #WhatsNextFromMi and not #WhatsNextFromRedmi.
Also, the executives are speaking two words in their teaser videos – “It’s time” closing the lid of their laptops. Although this means Xiaomi is finally bringing laptops to India after years of requests, some people on Twitter think the company could be launching Mi Watch instead.
Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro Enhanced Edition
Having said that, the laptop model Xiaomi has planned to launch in India is still a mystery. It worth noting that the launch of Redmibooks was tipped in late April and even one of the models was spotted on BIS certification portal.
On the other hand, Xiaomi India is teasing a Mi-branded product and not Redmi. This means only one thing and that is the company could be rebranding a RedmiBook with a Mi moniker.

Last year, Apple announced the Apple Card – a credit card created in partnership with Goldman Sachs. Huawei followed suit with its own Huawei Card announced a few months ago in China. Today, it is the turn of Samsung, and the Korean tech giant has named it Samsung Money.
Samsung Money is a Mastercard debit card issued by The Bancorp Bank; and just as Apple’s card is tied to Apple Pay, this is tied to Samsung Pay.
Getting the card is pretty easy as Samsung has made it possible for users to request for it via the Samsung Pay app. You can also start using the digital card right away until the physical card arrives. The Samsung Pay app can also be used to check balances, monitor transactions, flag suspicious purchases, and block the card.
Samsung says Samsung Money has no account fees (for now). They are also promising reward points for purchases that can be redeemed and be used towards future Samsung purchases. Samsung has also revealed that the Samsung Money accounts will be FDIC insured for up to $1.5 million which is six times higher than the $250,000 for most debit cards. Another perk is no charges when owners use any of the 55,000 ATMs in the Allpoint ATM network.
Samsung Money will be available later this summer but there is already a waiting list where you can sign up for it.
Huawei has launched the MatePad Pro 5G tablet in its home market China. The premium 5G tablet was earlier unveiled for the global market in February 2020 but is yet to be released. Thus, the product will go on sale first in China.

The MatePad Pro 5G is indeed a true flagship tablet as it is powered by a Kirin 990 chipset. The tablet packs a nano SD card slot onboard that can be used to expand the storage when needed. The tablet features a 10.8-inch IPS LCD display with 90% screen ratio, rounded corners and a punch-hole that houses an 8-megapixel selfie camera. Honor is set to announce its next smartphone dubbed as Honor Play 4 Pro in its home country China. This handset has been leaked multiple times since the last week. Now, the brand has also begun to tease its launch formally.
1 of 3
Ahead of Honor Play 4T series launch in April, Honor appointed Wei Xialong as the new product manager of the Play series. This executive teased those handsets on his Weibo account before release. Now, he is doing the same for the upcoming Honor Play 4 Pro.
Mr Xialong posted three pictures on his Weibo profile hinting he has hidden some features of Honor’s forthcoming handset. According to ITHome, these features are 40W fast charging, IR blaster, and Kirin 990 SoC.
These specs go in line with a previous leak of Honor Play 4 Pro. Also, this handset is said to be the true successor of the original Honor Play launched in 2018 with Kirin 970 underneath.
Earlier today, this device was found listed on VMall, the official Huawei online store in China. Unfortunately, it did not reveal any specifications but we know the entire design of the phone, thanks to official renders.

Last but not least, the Honor Play 4 Pro is tipped to cost around 3,000 Yuan ($418) and a non-pro model might tag along.
