Earlier today (27th April 2020), Xiaomi launched the Mi 10 Youth Edition. It is currently only been announced for the Chinese market, but a global version is expected to be launched as well and could be called the Mi 10 Lite Zoom edition.
According to known leakster Mukul Sharma (@stufflistings), Xiaomi is planning on rebranding the Mi 10 Youth Edition for foreign markets. The leakster tweeted about the information on his Twitter account and even shared certain sample images from the zoom lens of the Mi 10 Youth Edition. Unfortunately, this is still unconfirmed and we will have to wait for an official announcement to provide any concrete statements.
Notably, one of the highlighting features of the Mi 10 Youth Edition is undoubtedly its zoom lens that offers 50x magnifications. This is achieved thanks to its 5x optical zoom and 10x hybrid zoom with a 15mm to 122mm focal length sensor. Thus, it wouldn’t be surprising if the Chinese tech giant rebrands the Youth variant as the Mi 10 Lite Zoom as the name is suggestive of one of its best features.
In a recent interview, Ren Zhengfei, the Founder and CEO of Huawei Technologies, stated that the company’s proprietary OS will take no longer than 300 years to surpass Google’s Android or Apple’s iOS.
Huawei has been caught in the center of the trade tensions between the US and China. The Chinese tech giant faced various complications in the west after the US Commerce Department place the company on the “Entity List.” This banned Huawei from buying or selling products with US Based companies and also saw the OEM lose official support from Google. Since then, the company has been striving to make its own OS, HarmonyOS (HongMengOS in China), but it seems it is still lacking, according to the founder.

Despite the strict restrictions and regulations being imposed on the brand, Ren Zhengfei said that “We are not thinking of replacing US components. The US will always be our good friend.” As of right now, American companies with a special license to deal with Huawei are the only ones that can trade with the Chinese OEM. Notably, Yu Chengdong, the CEO of the Consumer Business Group of Huawei, also mentioned that the company had alternatives to US parts but are still using them “to maintain good relationships with its American suppliers.”
According to the Founder, HarmonyOS will take at least 300 years to trump its competition, which are the industry leading giants, iOS and Android. He further added that “It would be OK if we didn’t use US components, but what happens if consumers don’t buy our products. The operating systems of Android and Apple have enjoyed massive sales in the world as consumers have become accustomed to them. Huawei is a latecomer, so it would be very difficult to surpass the operating systems of Android and Apple.”
The CEO even mentioned the “friendly” relationship Huawei has with both Apple and Google, and in cooperation for the development of 5G networking in recent times. Another reason for Huawei to shift to completely locally sourced parts is the Coronavirus pandemic. The outbreak has caused various complications in the global supply chain and is even affecting economies worldwide. The senior executive believes that moving supply chains to local countries is a terrible decision since no one country can be totally self sufficient, just like a company and its sources.
The Meizu 17 and Meizu 17 Pro are scheduled to go official on May 8. Since the past week, the Chinese firm has been revealing details on the vanilla model. Images of the invite for Meizu 17 Pro shared by a trustworthy source has revealed that it will be coming with support for wireless charging. The images have also revealed some other key features of the Meizu 17 Pro.
The images have revealed that the Meizu 17 Pro is driven by Snapdragon 865 mobile platform and LPDDR5 RAM. It is equipped with UFS 3.1 storage and OneMind 4.0 AI engine for improving performance through software optimizations.
The back panel of the Meizu 17 Pro has a horizontal quad camera system. The setup comprises of a Sony IMX686 64-megapixel sensor, a telephoto lens, an ultrawide sensor and a macro lens. The quad cameras will have support for AR filters and stickers. The Meizu 17 Pro also supports Wi-Fi 6 and NFC.
Past reports have claimed that the Meizu 17 Pro will be coming with a punch-hole 90Hz display with curved edges. The handset is believed to have M091Q model number. Its 3C certification have revealed that it could be coming with a 40W fast charger.
Some of the differences between the Meizu 17 and 17 Pro phones include that the Meizu 17 will be sporting a 90Hz flat display with punch-ole design. It will come with 30W fast charging support and it may lack support for wireless charging. Rumors are rife that the Meizu 17 series may sell with a starting price of 3,999 Yuan (~$564).
During the Xiaomi Mi 10 Youth Edition launch event earlier today (27th April 2020), the company also unveiled its new collaborative product, the Watch Color x Keith Haring Special Edition. It was teased last week by the Chinese tech giant and has now been officially announced, with a price tag of 899 Yuan (roughly 126 US Dollars) and tagline that “art is for everyone.”
The Xiaomi Watch Color Keith Haring special edition is a new variant of the company’s wearable product. As the name suggests, it is a limited variant which the company is offering through cooperation with the Keith Haring Foundation. For those unaware, Keith Haring was a popular artist and activist that was a part of the iconic art style in New York back in the 1980s.
He was known for his colorful and legendary art styles, a few of which can be found with the new product. This includes the Barking Dog and Radiant Baby. Looking at the new Xiaomi Watch Color variant, it arrives in a highly stylized box with even the watch strap/bands being covered with the iconic graffiti. To make the experience more immersive, the company has even added special faces in the Watch Color’s display and UI as well. Although it is a new variant, the difference between the standard version and the Keith Haring one is purely aesthetical in nature.
The Xiaomi Watch Color sports the same 1.39 inch AMOLED display and is powered by a 420mAh battery. It supports Bluetooth 5.0 technology, NFC, features built in Xiaomi AI voice assistant, and is even waterproof. The wearables also boast many different modes and functions to assist the user in tracking their physical activities.
Xiaomi announced the Mi 10 Lite in Europe back in March. Now the same model has been launched in China with slight changes in its camera specifications. The Chinese variant keeps the same design as the international Lite edition but brings a few upgrades in the camera department for better positioning in the highly competitive Chinese smartphone market.

Just like the Mi 10 Lite, the Mi 10 Youth Edition for China comes with a waterdrop AMOLED display upfront and a rectangular camera housing at the back. The camera housing has curved corners which sets it apart from other rectangular camera designs and the back is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.
Xiaomi is marketing the Mi 10 Youth as a lightweight and compact 5G smartphone for China. The phone measures just 7.88mm in thickness and weigh 192 grams. This is quite respectable given the large 4160mAh battery inside.
The Mi 10 Youth 5G will come in five colors – White, Peach, Blue, Black, and Mint Green. There’s also a special Doraemon limited edition.

If the report from Canalys is to be believed, then Chinese smartphone maker Vivo has shipped more smartphones than Samsung in India in the first quarter of this year. With this, Vivo has overtaken Samsung for the first time in the Indian market.
As per the report, Vivo nearly doubled its shipments in India year-on-year to 6.7 million units, capturing almost 19.9 percent of the market. Xiaomi remains the leading smartphone brand in the country with 10.3 million units and 30.6 percent market share. This is attributed to the brand’s offline expansion and affordable pricing of products.
Samsung comes in at the third position with shipment of 6.3 million units and 18.9 percent market share, followed by Realme and OPPO. The report adds that Realme managed to ship 3.9 million units of its smartphones while OPPO shipped around 3.5 million units.
Overall, about 33.5 million units were shipped to vendors in the first quarter of this year in the country, registering a growth of 12 percent. However, the shipments are expected to plunge in Q2 2020 because of the on-going country-wide lockdown in India to curb the spread of coronavirus.
According to the research firm Counterpoint, the smartphone shipments in India grew 4 percent in Q1 2020. While shipments grew in the months of January and February, March reported a decline of 19 percent and thus, the growth was limited to just 4 percent.
While Vivo has become the second-largest brand in India in Q1 2020, the company may be in some sort of trouble. It was the title sponsor of IPL 2020, one of the biggest sporting event in India. With that in mind, the company shipped high stock of its devices to vendors but now with IPL getting postponed and country under lockdown, it will be difficult for the company to achieve expected sell-through after the lockdown ends.
The smartphone shipment numbers for the Indian market also showcases the dominance of BBK Electronics, which owns Vivo, OPPO, Realme, and OnePlus. The combined market share of its top three leading brand — Vivo, Realme, and OPPO comes at 42 percent.
Redmi will be soon launching the Redmi 10X 4G smartphone in near future. Its specifications, design and pricing have already surfaced. The existence of the Redmi 10X 4G phone reveals that the company could be working on other phones in Redmi 10 series and it could be also planning to launch Redmi Note 10 series. Two Xiaomi phones have received approval from the 3C authority of China. The identities of these phones are currently under the wraps.
The 3C approved M2004J7AC and M2004J7BC are 5G-ready smartphones. The M2004J7AC listing on 3C reveals that it could be shipping with a 22.5W fast charger. The model number of the charger is MDY-11-EM. On the other side, the M2004J7BC could be coming with a faster MDY-11-EX charger that supports up to 33W rapid charging. The similarity in the model numbers of both devices suggest that these could be two phones from the same series.
Redmi had recently launched Redmi Note 9 and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max phones in India. Soon after the launch, Redmi President Lu Weibing said that the Note 9 series were meant for international markets like Indi where 5G networks have not commercialized yet. Hence, it appears that the company may not launch Redmi Note 9 lineup in China. So, it may directly announce Redmi Note 10 series as the successor for last year’s Redmi Note 8 series.
There is a possibility that the M20047JAC and M2004J7BC could be Redmi Note 10 and Note 10 Pro 5G phones. Readers are advised to wait for further reports to wait for further reports to know the identity of M20047JAC and M2004J7BC smartphones.
Oppo has recently applied for a new trademark with the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). It is for an upcoming Reno series smartphones and may be called the Reno Glow.

The Reno series from the Chinese smartphone manufacturer is a popular lineup of handsets. These range from affordable to even mid range and certain flagship products. Unfortunately, it is still unclear which category the Reno Glow will fall into, even after looking at the patent application. However, the name does suggest an interesting feature that may arrive with the device.
The Reno Glow could be related to a new camera system with better voice controls, although that is just speculation at this point. Notably, Oppi did release a “Glow in the Dark” version of the Oppo Reno 2 last year, to advertise its new Ultra Night camera function. The “Glow” could also be in reference to a better display since flagships have now been shifting towards a higher refresh rate panel on QHD displays with more colors and even higher maximum brightness.
All we have to go on currently is the trademark application. So, it is still too soon to provide any concrete statements. Since Oppo has been launching an increasing number of devices with 5G networking, the Reno Glow could also receive a similar treatment. But for more details, we will have to wait a while. Rumors surrounding the upcoming Honor X10 smartphone has revealed that it is a 5G-ready device that is codenamed as “Teller.” It is believed that the TEL-AN00, TEL-AN00a and TEL-TN00 model numbers belong to the upcoming Honor X10 5G for China. These model numbers had surfaced on the 3C regulatory body at the end of the previous month. Now, the Honor X10 has appeared on TENAA with limited specs and images.
The TENAA listing of the phone reveals that its dimensions are 163.7 x 76.5 x 8.8mm. The device is equipped with a 6.63-inch notch-less display. Rumors surrounding the phone have revealed that is has an IPS LCD screen. The Honor X10 seems to feature a pop-up selfie camera.
The device houses a minimum rated battery of 4,200mAh capacity. The 3C listing of the aforementioned model numbers had revealed that the Honor X10 may arrive with support for 22.5W fast charging.
The rear view of the Honor X10 shows that there is a rectangular camera housing at its upper-left corner. It houses four cameras and an LED flash. The right edge of the phone has a volume rocker. Below it, there seems to be a fingerprint scanner embedded under the power button.
In comparison, the Honor 9X phone from last year also featured a notch-less screen, a pop-up selfie camera and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The Honor 9X measured 163.5 x 77.3 x 8.8mm and it came with a 6.59-inch IPS LCD screen. The handset was fueled by Kirin 810 chipset. The back panel of the phone featured a 48-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual camera setup. It had a 4,000mAh battery with 10W charging support. The Honor X10 is rumored to be powered by Kirin 820 5G chipset. The Chinese firm may also unveil Honor X10 Pro phone alongside it. The Honor X10 series could be priced under 2,000 Yuan (~$282) and it may go official next month.
Huawei‘s official design team behind its theme recently revealed the shooting process through which the default wallpapers of the P40 series were obtained. These wallpaper images are not rendered images rather photographs of real pieces of ice.
According to the people behind the theme, the team has been exploring the “expressions of a thin piece of ice.” The actual wallpaper image reveals asymmetrical design and curved patterns that may lead some to believe that this is pre-rendered. However, it is actually a piece of ice on which water was poured in drops. Through this, the beautiful and eye catching curved and wavy lines were achieved for the shot.
After adding the water on the ice surface, the team then passed light through the ice cube from multiple angles to attain a different style. Furthermore, the Huawei theme design team even burned the ice cube with fire to shape it in ways they wanted for unique looks.
Looking at the wallpaper images, one might not immediately guess that the pictures are all focused on the ice. But since the process was revealed, it seems like a very creative approach that has brought about such interesting aesthetics to light. You never know, Huawei might take this a step further and make use of other mundane objects to make them look brilliant as well.
After globally debuting the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro smartphones, the Chinese company launched both the devices in the home market on 16th April. The devices were made available for purchase last week, managing to sell units worth 100 million yuan in just one minutes.
Recently, all the models of the OnePlus 8 series went out-of-stock in China and Pete Lau, CEO of the company said that they didn’t expect such popularity for the phones and are working hard to bring back the devices to the market.
Well, now it seems that the company is on-track with the production. Today, the company started the sell of the Ultramarine Blue variant of the OnePlus 8 Pro smartphone for the first time in China at 10:00 AM local time. However, it seems to have been sold out now.
The smartphone comes in two variants based on memory configuration — 8GB RAM + 128GB storage costing 5,399 yuan (~$763) and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model which is priced at 5,999 yuan that roughly converts to $848.
The OnePlus 8 Pro features a 6.78-inch Fluid AMOLED display from Samsung, offering 3168 x 1440 pixels screen resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate and HDR10+ support. Under the hood, the device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor along with X55 model for the new-age 5G connectivity support. The device comes with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 internal storage.
As for the camera department, the company has introduced two high-resolution cameras on the Pro variant, one of which is the new IMX689 48MP Sony sensor while second 48MP lens is the IMX586 for ultra-wide-angle shots. It also comes with an 8MP telephoto sensor and a 5MP special color filter sensor.
On the front side, the device features a 16MP selfie punch-hole shooter with f/2.4 apertures respectively. The smartphone runs the latest Android 10 operating system out-of-the-box with the OxygenOS on top. The device is powered by a 4,510mAh battery with 30W fast charging and 30W Warp Charge 30 Wireless. The company says that it can go from 3 percent to 55 percent in just 30 minutes of wireless charging.
While the company is now making the flagship smartphone available for purchase, some of the users who have already got their hands on the OnePlus 8 Pro are reporting issues regarding the device’s display, with problems ranging from crushed/clipped blacks to a green-coloured tint on the screen.
The list of issues also include low brightness irregularities, clipped blacks, image retention on the screen, and even lines appearing around the punch hole selfie camera cutout. OnePlus has officially acknowledged the problems and has confirmed that the company is already working on a fix that is expected to be released soon.
As Meizu is getting closer to the official launch of the Meizu 17 series flagship smartphones on 8th May, the company has started teasing some of the key specifications and features of the upcoming devices.
In the latest teaser poster, the company has revealed that the Meizu 17 smartphone will feature a quad-camera setup where the primary sensor will be a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 sensor. It also reveals that the phone will be made available in a Dark Green color option, along with few others.
The development comes just days after the company confirmed that the Meizu 17 will be the first smartphone from the brand to come with a 90Hz refresh rate display. The Chinese company has also confirmed that the device will be powered by a 4,500mAh battery and will feature 30W fast charging technology.
Meizu has already revealed the phone’s design, confirming the device having flat display and curved rear panel. The phone features a horizontally arranged quad camera system with an LED-ring flash at the center with a pair of cameras on its left and right sides.
The Meizu 17 is confirmed to come powered by the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 octa-core processor with support for 5G connectivity. The company has also confirmed UFS 3.1 internal storage and thus, we expect the phone to have LPDRR5 RAM.
The device could have a 6.5-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display along with an in-display fingerprint sensor. We expect the phone to run the latest Android 10 operating system with the company’s own custom user interface on top.
Along with the Meizu 17, the company is also expected to launch Meizu 17 Pro, which will have better specifications and features and could come equipped with 40W fast charging. There are reports which claims that the pricing for the series could start at 3,999 yuan which is approximately $564. When Xiaomi unveiled the Mi 10 Pro in February for its home market, it’s DxOMark Camera review went live on the same day itself. Later, in March, Lei Jun, the CEO of Xiaomi promised a camera update, the version which the DxOMark team actually reviewed. Keeping up with the words, the company is now rolling out MIUI 11.0.24.0 update to Mi 10 Pro, which is said to improve the camera performance of the device.
The new MIUI 11.0.24.0 stable update for Mi 10 Pro weighs only 406MB. It brings a couple of other changes apart from the so-called DxOMark version camera.
The latest update for Mi 10 Pro, which is being rolled out to Chinese version of the device bumps up the security patch level to April 2020. Further, it also adds support for stereo ringtones as well as mirror option for short video mode in the camera app.
The update also fixes occasional hiccups faced by users in AI and HDR modes in the camera app. Also, it brings WiFi 6 icon, which will be displayed on the status bar when the phone is connected to a supported router.
Anyway, we are not sure how well the performance of the cameras will improve with this update. Last year, OnePlus pulled a similar stunt for its then flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 7 Pro. And it did enhance the efficiency of the cameras on that phone. Hopefully, Mi 10 Pro gets a similar boost.
After Xiaomi-backed Redmi had launched its flagship Redmi K30 Pro smartphone, it was reported that the device could get launched in India as the POCO F2. It also made sense given that the company has launched Redmi K30 as POCO X2 in the Indian market.
However, C Manmohan, General Manager of the POCO brand said that the POCO F2 won’t be the rebranded version of Redmi K30 Pro. Now, a new report has surfaced online which reveals that the Redmi K30 Pro will launch as the POCO F2 Pro in India.
Details leaked through Google Play support page reveals that the POCO F2 Pro carries codename “Imi” which is the same codename as Redmi K30 Pro. This confirms that the POCO F2 Pro is indeed the Redmi K30 Pro.
If this turns out to be true, then the upcoming POCO F2 series will consist of at least two smartphones — the standard POCO F2 and a higher configuration variant of the same, dubbed as the POCO F2 Pro.
Since the POCO F2 Pro will be a rebranded Redmi K30 Pro, it will feature a pop-up front-facing camera for a notch-less display design and a circular quad-camera module on the back. The phone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 octa-core chipset.
It will feature a 6.67-inch Full HD+ display with 2400 x 1080 pixels screen resolution, a 20MP front-facing snapper, a quad-camera setup on the back that consists of a 64MP primary sensor, a 13MP super wide-angle lens, a 5MP telephoto lens and a 2MP depth sensor. The phone will be powered by a 4,700mAh battery with 33W fast charging.
However, it remains to be the seen what the company has planned for the POCO F2, which will be act as the successor to the POCO F1, the brand’s first smartphone that was launched in March 2018. While not much information is available about the upcoming POCO F2 series, we expect the company to launch the devices as early as next month.
For the uninitiated, POCO brand has been split as an independent company by Xiaomi earlier this year. The move came at a time when the brand was considered dead given that its executives had left the brand and the company had not launched any product apart from its highly-successful first and only POCO F1.
Earlier this year, soon after making the brand independent, the POCO X2 smartphone was launched in the Indian market, which as we mentioned, is a rebranded Redmi K30. It remains to be seen how Xiaomi positions the POCO brand and Redmi K-series given that both fall within the same price segment.
In the previous week, Realme unveiled the Realme X50m smartphone in China. A reliable tipster from China shared an image of a mysterious Realme phone that has a unique rear design. The identity of the phone is currently under the wraps. It appears that it could be the upcoming Realme smartphone for the home market.
As it can be seen in the leaked shot, the unknown Realme phone has a rear design that is quite different from the smartphones that the company released so far. The handset has a carbon-like textured rear with a vertical strip with gold accents at the center.
There are three cameras placed at the top portion of the vertical strip and alongside the camera setup is an LED flash. The top edge of the device appears barren. The bottom bezel of the phone is not visible in image. It could be flanked with a USB port and an external speaker. It is unclear whether the handset has a 3.5mm audio jack.
There is no information available on the specifications of the mysterious Realme phone. The Chinese firm is selling 5G-ready phones like Realme X50m, Realme X50 and Realme X50 Pro 5G across different price points in China. Hence, it is interesting to see how the mysterious Realme phone will be priced in the home market.
Realme is reportedly working on the launch of the next of Realme X series smartphones. The Realme X3 SuperZoom that has a model number of RMX2086 has received approval from multiple authorities like SIRIM (Malaysia), EEC (Europe), BIS (India), IMDA (Singapore) and NBTC (Thailand). The Bluetooth SIG certification of the phone revealed that it supports Bluetooth 5.1. its Geekbench listing revealed that is has Android 10 OS, 12 GB of RAM and it is powered by Snapdragon 855 or 855+ SoC. It is speculated that the Realme will also launch Realme X3 alongside its SuperZoom version.
As per the latest data released by Trustdata, the Chinese smartphone maker OPPO is named as the leading smartphone brand in China for the first quarter of 2020 in terms of smartphone shipments.
The report claims that the smartphone shipments from OPPO accounted for around 21.4 percent of the market share, leading the domestic market. The second position was grabbed by Vivo is a market share of 20.5 percent.
Huawei, on the other hand, comes in at third with a market share of 20.2 percent. Xiaomi and Apple have been placed at the fourth and fifth position, each accounting for 10.3 percent and 10.1 percent market share.
Do note that the report is counting shipments of Huawei and Honor separately and that is the reason Huawei isn’t leading this this list. If the shipments of Huawei and Honor are combined, like most data analysis companies do, then the company leads the market with a market share of 29.9 percent.
The coronavirus outbreak has severely impacted the smartphone industry. In the first month of this year, the domestic mobile phone shipments in China sharply fell by 38.9 percent year-on-year with shipments of just 20.8 million units.
The shipments from domestic brands in China fell by 42.9 percent in January 2020. As per the data released by the Chinese government, companies sold around 6.34 million phones in February in China, down 54.7% from 14 million around the same time a year ago.
A couple of months ago, IDC had revealed that it is anticipating a 2.3% decrease in smartphone shipments for this year, down to 1.3 billion. The main portion of 2020 will see a decrease of 10.6 percent YoY and the market is anticipated to just make up ground in the second half with acceleration in 5G adaptation.
Last week, Vivo confirmed that it will be starting with the sales of the “Streaming Mystery” color variant for the Vivo S6 5G phone that was announced at the end of March. The handset has been available in colors like Swan Lake White, Danube River Blue and Jazz Black. However, the new Streaming Mystery edition is the most attractive compared to the other color options. Starting from today, Vivo is receiving the pre-orders of the new color variant of the Vivo S6 5G in the home market.
The glass rear of the Vivo S6 5G Streamer Mystery exhibits shades of blue, purple, violet, magenta, and cream. On Vivo China’s official website, the 8 GB RAM + 256 GB edition is not available in the new color variant. However, there is one Vivo S6 Streamer Mystery Gift Box Edition that is priced at 2,798 Yuan (~$395) which comes with a special retail box and it has 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB storage.

And there is another 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage Vivo S6 Streamer Mystery model that does not seem to come with a special package. It is priced at 2,698 Yuan (~$381) As the company confirmed in the last week, the new color variant will go on sale starting from April 30. There is no word yet on the availability of the Vivo S6 5G phone outside of China.
The Vivo S6 5G has a 6.44-inch S-AMOLED display with waterdrop notch. The full HD+ resolution supporting screen is equipped with an under-display fingerprint sensor. The Exynos 980 chipset powers the device with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.1 storage. The FunTouch OS 10 flavored Android 10 OS runs on the Vivo S6 5G smartphone.

For snapping selfies, the Vivo S6 5G offers users with a front camera of 32-megapixel. The backside of the phone has a round-shaped camera setup. It consists of a 48-megapixel main lens, an 8-megapixel superwide lens, a 2-megapixel macro lens and a 2-megapixel portrait shooter. The 4,500mAh battery of the phone supports 18W fast charging.
The Chinese manufacturer also confirmed on the list of its devices that are eligible for the MIUI 12 internal testing. The list includes Mi models such as Mi 10 Pro, Mi 10, Mi 9 Pro 5G, Mi 9, Mi 9 SE, MI 8 Screen Fingerprint Edition, Mi 8 Youth Edition, Mi 8 Explorer Edition, Mi 8 SE, Mi 8, Mi 6, Mi 6X, Mi CC9 Pro, Mi CC9, Mi CC9 Meitu Custom Edition, Mi MIX 3, Mi MIX 2s, Mi MIX 2, Mi Note 3 and Mi Max 3. Also, the Mi 10 Youth Edition that will go official today will be also support it.
The Redmi lineup that will are ready for testing MIUI 12 include Redmi K30 Pro, Redmi K30 5G, Redmi K30 4G, Redmi K20 Pro Premium Edition, Redmi K20 Pro, Redmi K20, Redmi Note 8 Pro, Redmi Note 7Pro, Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 5.
The above list does not include devices like Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite (Europe), POCO X2, POCO F1, Redmi Note 6 Pro, Mi A3, Mi A2 and Mi A1. The reason behind it is that Xiaomi is yet to confirm on the list of phones in the global markets that will be receiving MIUI 12. The above list only pertains to the Chinese market. The company is expected to confirm on the global list sometime later.

While Samsung is not one to shy away from adopting new designs or even starting a trend that later becomes the industry standard, there are still a few ones it has skipped. One example that comes to mind is the pop-up selfie camera design. However, that should change soon as a leak has revealed Samsung is working on its very first phone with a pop-up selfie camera.
The source of the leak is serial leaker @OnLeaks and he has partnered with Pigtou for this one.
The upcoming Samsung phone whose name is unknown will likely be an affordable mid-range device based on its design.
It has a flat display and the screen is said to be about 6.5-inches in size with a moderately sized lower bezel. The back is curved and is home to three cameras housed together with the LED flash and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. The dimensions of the device are 183.5 x 77 x 9.2 (9.7 with the camera module) millimeters.
The bottom of the phone is home to a USB Type-C port flanked on one side by the speaker griller and on the other by a microphone. Surprisingly, Samsung didn’t put an audio jack on the device but there seems to be an IR blaster at the top of the phone.
The pop-up camera doesn’t have any fancy additions or even an LED flash as we have seen from some other manufacturers.
It is unknown if the phone will be a 5G device or will be a 4G phone. Nevertheless, there is nothing stopping Samsung from releasing both a 4G and a 5G version of the phone.
