iQOO has officially launched the Z10 Turbo+, a new gaming-focused smartphone that packs serious power under the hood. It offers flagship level specs at mid range prices, with MediaTek’s flagship processor, super smooth display, and a large battery pack. So here’s everything you need to know.

iQOO Z10 Turbo+: What makes it special?

A high refresh rate is a must have for a gaming phone, and the iQOO Z10 Turbo+ delivers. It sports a tall 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, 360Hz touch sampling rate, 5500 nits of peak brightness, and 4320Hz PWM dimming and DC dimming support. The high frequency also helps reduce eye strain during long gaming sessions. iQOO packs the gaming phone with MediaTek’s latest and greatest Dimensity 9400+. This is paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage.

A mammoth 8,000mAh battery pack powers this device, which supports 90W wired fast charging. For optics, the rear has a 50MP Sony LYT600 main camera with an 8MP ultra wide angle lens, while the front houses a 16MP selfie shooter. So photography is clearly not a focus with this model. iQOO’s Z10 Turbo+ runs on the Android 15 OS based Origin OS 5 out of the box. Other notable features include IP65 water and dust resistance, stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint scanner, WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and dual SIM support.

The Chinese brand just announced the iQOO Z10 Turbo+ in its home market in three color variants, namely Desert Gold, Polar Gray, and Cloud White. So here are their pricing:

Panasonic launches new P-Series TVs in India with MiniLED and Google TV

Panasonic has unveiled its latest television range in India. The new P-Series line-up includes several new models designed for a wide spectrum of Indian households. According to the company, the range incorporates advanced display technologies, Google TV integration and high-quality audio features for an improved viewing experience.

Premium TV experience with ShinobiPro MiniLED series

The highlight of the P-Series is the ShinobiPro MiniLED range, available in 65-inch and 75-inch variants. These TVs are equipped with 4K Studio Colour Engine, pixel-level dimming, and AccuView display technology. They support Dolby Vision and 4K HDR 10+, enhancing both picture detail and contrast. With a 144Hz refresh rate and MEMC technology, fast-paced visuals appear smooth. The TVs also feature a bezel-less design, wide viewing angles, and built-in Chromecast. Sound quality is delivered via home-theatre-grade 20W speakers enhanced by Dolby Atmos and DTS support.

The 75-inch ShinobiPro MiniLED (model TH-75PX950DX) is powered by a 300W system, while the 65-inch version (TH-65PX950DX) draws 270W. Both run on Google TV with 32GB internal storage, support voice commands via Google Assistant, and come with BT-enabled remotes. Connectivity options include HDMI 2.1, USB, optical audio out, and Bluetooth.

In total, 21 LED TV models have been introduced in the P-Series, ranging from HD Ready to 4K models, all equipped with Google TV features. Prices start from Rs 17,990 and go up to Rs 3,99,990, covering both budget and premium segments. The series is available through Panasonic-authorised retail stores, online platforms, and the brand’s direct-to-consumer (D2C) website.

To complement the visual experience, Panasonic has also launched soundbars ranging from 160W (2.1 channel) to 600W (5.1 channel) with features like 3D surround sound, Dolby Digital Plus, and touch controls, priced from Rs 12,990.

LG Display unveils world’s fastest OLED monitor panel with 720Hz refresh rate

LG Display has officially unveiled the world’s fastest OLED monitor panel at K-Display 2025 in Seoul. The company is showcasing a 27-inch QHD OLED panel that supports a refresh rate of 540Hz in standard mode and up to 720Hz in 720p resolution using its Dynamic Frequency and Resolution (DFR) technology. This marks the highest refresh rate ever achieved on an OLED display.

The new panel is part of LG Display’s fourth-generation OLED lineup, which uses Primary RGB Tandem technology. It stacks red, green, and blue sub-pixels as independent layers to improve brightness and efficiency. The 27-inch panel delivers 99.5% DCI-P3 color coverage and a peak brightness of 1500 nits, aiming at competitive gamers and professionals who need high-speed performance without compromising image quality.

LG Display is also showcasing a new 83-inch OLED panel with fourth-generation Tandem OLED technology. This display achieves a peak brightness of 4000 nits, which is currently the highest among consumer OLED panels. The company is using this display to demonstrate the improved picture quality and color depth compared to previous OLED generations.

In addition, LG Display has unveiled a 45-inch OLED panel with a resolution of 5120×2160 (5K2K), which currently holds the highest resolution in any OLED monitor panel.

LG Display is presenting new automotive displays as well. These include a 57-inch Pillar-to-Pillar LCD, a 32.6-inch slidable OLED, and a 14-inch Tandem ATO display that combines high brightness with low power consumption. The company is also displaying a 47.8-inch LTPS LCD with switchable privacy mode and a stretchable jog dial display for future vehicles.

An LG Display official stated that the company aims to maintain its lead in OLED innovation by improving existing technologies and strengthening its R&D for future solutions.

In related news, LG recently launched the 34BA75QE-B UltraWide Monitor in Japan, featuring a 34-inch curved display with USB-C, HDR10, and a built-in KVM switch. Additionally, the company has unveiled the UltraFine 40U990A-W, equipped with a 5K2K Nano IPS display, Thunderbolt 5 support, and KVM functionality.

In his recent post, he claimed that OnePlus is planning on launching a new Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 powered tablet for mobile gaming enthusiasts. Despite these high end specs, the tablet will reportedly have a compact form factor. Another tipster claimed that a compact flagship tablet from OnePlus was in the works. Digital Chat Station believed that the tablet would debut alongside a compact premium phone with a 6.3-inch OLED display.

The mini smartphone may be called the OnePlus 15T, while the small tablet could be called the OnePlus Pad 3 Mini. If this news is true, then this small gaming tablet would compete with the likes of Red Magic Astra. TCL’s inkjet OLED tech just hit a new milestone and it’s closer to mass production

TCL CSOT is expected to announce its long-anticipated investment in Gen 8 inkjet-printed OLED (IJP OLED) production within the next two months. Zhou Mingzhong, Head of Technology Planning at TCL CSOT, confirmed the timeline during an interview following the Seoul Display Business Forum. He stated that the formal announcement would take place between August and September.

The company has already achieved key technical milestones with its inkjet OLED technology. Zhou revealed that TCL CSOT panels have surpassed 350 pixels per inch (PPI) in resolution. He added that the blue OLED device’s LT95@100nits lifespan is expected to reach 400 hours by 2026, a tenfold improvement compared to 2020 levels. The blue sub-pixel will also match the size of the red and green sub-pixels, addressing a common imbalance in traditional FMM OLED designs.

TCL CSOT uses a full RGB sub-pixel arrangement with equally sized pixels. The company reports a significantly higher aperture ratio for its inkjet OLEDs, three times greater than that of conventional FMM OLEDs. This advancement improves brightness, energy efficiency, and display durability.

The company showcased a range of potential applications during recent exhibitions. These include a 6.5-inch smartphone panel with 325PPI, a 14-inch 2.8K laptop screen with 243PPI, a 27-inch 4K monitor with 163PPI, and a 65-inch 8K TV panel with 136PPI. These prototypes demonstrate TCL’s ability to scale inkjet OLED across multiple form factors.

TCL CSOT currently operates a Gen 5.5 inkjet OLED line at its T5 facility in Wuhan. In late 2024, the company produced a 21.6-inch medical-grade OLED panel using inkjet printing. However, the Gen 8 project, referred to as the T8 Project, marks a significant step forward in commercial-scale production.

Industry sources told The Elec that the announcement was initially expected in July but has been slightly delayed, possibly due to ongoing coordination with local government authorities. Once finalized, the Gen 8 investment could help TCL CSOT differentiate itself from South Korean rivals that continue to focus on FMM and open metal mask (OMM) OLED technologies.

Redmi is testing a 8500mAh battery phone under 8.5mm thickness

A new leak suggests Redmi is working on a phone with an 8500mAh battery capacity. That’s nearly 1000mAh more than the battery on the recently launched Redmi Turbo 4 Pro, which itself packs a sizable 7550mAh cell.

Even more interesting, Redmi is reportedly managing to keep the phone’s body thickness under 8.5mm. For context, many phones with much smaller batteries measure the same, or even thicker. The Galaxy S25 Ultra, for example, is 8.2mm thick and houses a smaller 5,000mAh battery.

The tipster further adds that Redmi’s lab is still fine-tuning its in-house battery tech to maximize capacity without shortening battery lifespan. This jump in battery size is unsurprisingly due to the use of silicon-carbon battery technology, which has seen wider adoption in China this year.

The magic of silicon-carbon batteries

Unlike traditional graphite batteries, which max out at around 372mAh/g, silicon-based materials can theoretically reach up to 4200mAh/g. Silicon also has better lithium storage capabilities, which contributes to higher energy density and better safety during charging. The use of silicon materials helps avoid lithium buildup, which in some cases can lead to short circuits.

Thanks to the shift in materials, phones with 7000mAh or higher battery capacities are now common in the Chinese Android ecosystem. And it might not stop at 8500mAh. In another recent report, the same tipster claimed that 10000mAh phones may arrive as early as next year.

For now, there’s no word on when Redmi’s 8500mAh phone will launch, or what it will be called. We will keep you in the loop as soon as we hear more.

Samsung’s Galaxy A57 Mid-Ranger Spotted with an Exynos Upgrade

Samsung‘s upcoming Galaxy A57 has been spotted online, and it looks like the brand is sticking with its in-house Exynos chipset for its next mid-range contender. The device was recently listed in a popular benchmarking platform, revealing a few key details. The A57 may pack a new and improved Exynos processor, so here’s what we know.

Galaxy A57 Surfaces with Next-Gen Exynos Chip

The new mid-ranger was recently sighted on the GeekBench database, which revealed its OpenCL score results. For those unaware, OpenCL is commonly used to benchmark graphics performance. While the listing doesn’t explicitly reveal the name of the smartphone seen in GeekBench, the benchmark shows ‘Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. Full Android on S5E8865 ERD’. The ‘S5E8865’ is a codename for the Exynos 1680 SoC, which is the successor to the Exynos 1580 chipset that powered the Galaxy A56.

So this model is likely the Galaxy A57. Looking at the benchmark, the mid-range smartphone can be seen with 8GB of RAM and the Samsung Xclipse 550 GPU. The device managed to achieve a score of 6524 points in the OpenCL test. This is also in line with our May report of the Galaxy A57, which spotted in another leak with a new Exynos chip with the S5E8865 model number.

Unfortunately, finer details like its launch timeline, features, and design are still unclear. But considering the Galaxy A56 launched with a 6.7-inch 120Hz FHD+ Super AMOLED, 50MP triple cameras, 5000mAh battery, and 45W wired fast charging, the Galaxy A57 will likely bring similar specs with minor upgrades. Samsung silently drops software support for these 4 Galaxy phones: check if yours is on the list?

Samsung provides the best software support among Android brands, but even the best support doesn’t last forever. Every month or so, the company quietly clears out a few older models from its update roster — and this time, a total of four mid-range Galaxy phones have been dropped from future support.

This means no security patches or bug fixing, marking the end of the road for these Samsung phones. If your Galaxy device is a few years old, review the list below to find out if yours will continue to receive software updates or if it’s time for a hardware upgrade.

All four Samsung phones were launched in 2021, promising up to two Android updates and four years of security patches. They received Android 13 as their final major upgrade two years back, and now it’s the end of security patches as well.

Choose your next upgrade wisely

If you’re using Galaxy A22, F22, M32, or M42 5G, don’t expect any updates going forward. The phones will, however, continue to function normally; however, they won’t receive patches for any newly discovered vulnerabilities. If your device stores sensitive data, you may want to consider upgrading to a newer model with longer software support. Fortunately, that’s no longer exclusive to flagship devices.

The latest Galaxy S-series models promise a full seven years of Android updates and security patches. That’s the best software support you can get on an Android phone. The mid-range Galaxy phones have also seen a dramatic expansion in software support in recent years, with the latest models promising as many as six major Android updates and six years of security patches. A few years ago, they were only getting two major upgrades and four years of security patches. The newer budget phones also come with a much-improved software update policy.

So, here’s everything you need to know about the Android 16 update on Realme devices, including rollout timeline, eligible devices, and new features.

When will Realme start rolling out Android 16 update?

The Android 16 update for Realme phones will also bring a new version of its custom skin, Realme UI 7.0. The brand hasn’t revealed when it will roll out the next major software update. However, it recently announced that Realme will be among the first brands to deliver Android 16 to its flagship phones.

The Realme GT 7 Pro, in particular, will be the phone to get the Realme UI 7.0 update, based on Android 16. The Realme GT 7 and GT 7T will join the Android 16 party shortly after. After the GT 7 series, the brand will push the update to the GT 6 family, starting with the Realme GT 6 and GT 6T.

Realme promises a speedy rollout of Android 16 for its flagship devices, which should also mean a faster-than-usual rollout for the mid-range and cheaper models. We’ll have better clarity on this when the brand publishes a roadmap in the coming weeks.

What to expect from Realme UI 7.0 and Android 16?

This will likely include Android 16’s progress-centric notification (also known as Live Updates) for tracking ongoing activities without having to open apps. Realme phones already have a similar feature called “Mini Capsule,” but that only works with limited functions. Integrating it with Android 16’s Live Updates would make it a lot more helpful for users.

One of the standout additions is Android Protection, an array of security features that’s designed to protect users from online attacks, harmful apps, unsafe websites, scam calls, and other online threats. This will also be a part of the upcoming major upgrade.

The Galaxy Tab S10 Lite 5G features a familiar Samsung tablet design with noticeable bezels around the display. Notably, the front camera is positioned on the longer edge of the tablet when held in landscape mode, confirming its orientation preference. Additionally, the volume rocker and power button are placed on the right edge of the device, enhancing usability when held horizontally.

Garmin has launched two new GPS smartwatches in India: the Forerunner 970 and Forerunner 570. Both are designed for runners, triathletes, and fitness-focused users who want advanced tracking, training features, and health monitoring.

Forerunner 970

The Forerunner 970 has a 47 mm case, weighs 56 g, and features a 1.4-inch AMOLED touchscreen with optional always-on mode. It uses a sapphire crystal lens with a titanium bezel. The watch offers up to 15 days of battery life in smartwatch mode, 26 hours with GPS, 23 hours with SatIQ, 21 hours with all GNSS and multi-band, and 14 hours with GPS and music. Storage is 32 GB. It charges via a proprietary plug.

It supports wrist HR, Pulse Ox, ECG app, stress, respiration, fitness age, hydration, Body Battery, sleep tracking, women’s health, skin temperature, jet lag adviser, and abnormal HR alerts. Galaxy S25 FE launch date reportedly confirmed — and it’s much sooner than expected

Samsung appears to be fast-tracking its next Fan Edition smartphone, with the Galaxy S25 FE reportedly set to launch earlier than usual. Leaks suggest the device will feature a familiar yet refined design, alongside some solid upgrades under the hood—fueling interest among fans looking for a flagship-like experience at a lower price point.

According to a new report from FN News, citing industry insiders, Samsung is planning to unveil the Galaxy S25 FE in South Korea on September 19, 2025. That would mark a quicker turnaround compared to last year’s S24 FE, which debuted globally in September 2024 but didn’t reach Korean shelves until November.

While Samsung has yet to confirm global launch dates, there’s speculation that the phone could also make an appearance around the IFA 2025 tech show in Berlin (September 5–9). In its recent Q2 2025 earnings call, Samsung emphasized plans to “maintain sales momentum” with an earlier FE release—hinting that the global launch may not lag far behind.

The device is rumored to be slimmer and lighter—measuring just 7.4mm thick and weighing around 190g, down from the predecessor’s 8mm thickness and 213g weight. On the front, its Dynamic AMOLED 2X display is rumored to hit a peak brightness of 2,600 nits (vs 1900 nits on the predecessor), all protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2. Under the hood, the S25 FE is expected to run on the Exynos 2400 chipset, with 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage.

Unfortunately, the battery capacity is expected to be downgraded to 4,500mAh from the predecessor’s 4,700mAh—not a huge drop, but a downgrade nonetheless. The chipset isn’t expected to offer much better efficiency either, so don’t count on improved battery life. This is likely a trade-off for the reduced thickness and weight of the phone compared to the S24 FE. On the bright side, the 45W fast charging support (up from 25W) should help reduce downtime between charges.

The Galaxy S25 FE is expected to retail for around KRW 1 million in South Korea (roughly $719 USD).

The Vivo X200 Ultra has scored 167 in the DXOMARK Camera benchmark, with a top-tier photo score of 173 and video score of 156, placing it in the second position, just behind the OPPO Find X8 Ultra. It outperforms nearly all rivals in still photography, thanks to its standout 35mm main lens, strong zoom capabilities, and high-performing ultra-wide module.

Its unique 35mm-equivalent main sensor provides excellent subject-background separation, making it especially effective for portrait photography. Faces are rendered with accurate contrast and skin tones, while background blur looks natural and DSLR-like.

Portrait mode is one of the device’s strongest features. Subject segmentation is precise, including around complex edges like hair, with consistent results even in low light. Background blur is smooth, and edge artifacts are rare. However, the narrow depth of field can slightly impact focus in group shots.

Zoom performance is a major highlight, driven by the 200MP periscope telephoto camera. It produces sharp, detailed images up to 10x magnification in daylight. Even in moderate light, zoom photos retain clarity and contrast, though detail can soften slightly beyond 5x in dim environments. Telephoto video quality is also solid, with vibrant colors and good stabilization, though some noise appears in darker settings.

The ultra-wide camera is among the best available, delivering crisp images with minimal distortion and excellent edge-to-edge sharpness. It performs reliably even in low light, capturing well-exposed shots with balanced colors, though detail falls off slightly compared to the main camera.

In video recording, the primary camera handles exposure and focus transitions well, and supports 4K at 120fps. Colors remain natural and punchy across lighting conditions. Stabilization is smooth in most handheld scenarios, though some residual motion is visible while walking. Video from the telephoto and ultra-wide lenses also looks good, especially in bright light, but dynamic range narrows under challenging lighting.

Low-light performance across the camera system is strong. The main lens captures clean, detailed images with good color retention. The ultra-wide and telephoto cameras perform acceptably in dark scenes, though noise and softness are more pronounced.

The Vivo X200 Ultra gives reliable performance in photos and video, especially for portraits, zoom, and daylight shots. It is a solid option for users who want a high-performing camera phone without many compromises.
