Realme XT vs Redmi Note 8 Pro: Specs Comparison

The rivalry between Redmi and Realme has almost become a war. As soon as Xiaomi releases a new potential best-selling mid-ranger, Realme comes up with a valid alternative. A few hours before the announcement of the Redmi Note 8 Pro which had the world’s first 64 MP camera for a mobile device as one of its key features, Oppo’s sub-brand fooled Xiaomi by unveiling the Realme XT with a 64 MP camera. Yesterday, Oppo’s company announced all the specifications of the Realme XT. So, now we can compare the two affordable mid-rangers in all their aspects in order to establish which one has the highest value for money depending on the user’s needs.

Design

Despite they are very affordable, both Xiaomi and Oppo decided to build Realme XT and Redmi Note 8 Pro with an elegant glass back. But which is the most elegant device? It mostly depends on your tastes, but I think the Realme XT is more attractive due to its more compact dimensions and the absence of a fingerprint scanner on the rear side, as it is integrated into the display. So the Realme XT has a cleaner back, it is smaller, thinner, and even lighter than Redmi Note 8 Pro. Both have a plastic frame and the Gorilla Glass 5 protection for the display and the rear cover.

Display

Redmi Note 8 Pro loses the comparison when it comes to the display. It comes with a classic IPS panel, while Realme XT has a definitely better Super AMOLED panel showing deeper blacks and very brilliant colors. The only advantage of Redmi Note 8 Pro is a wider display diagonal, which could be more comfortable for gamers and power users. Note that Realme XT has an in-display fingerprint reader, while Redmi Note 8 Pro has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Specs & Software

While I prefer Realme XT if we talk about design and display, Redmi Note 8 Pro is the winner if we compare the hardware department. Despite Realme XT comes with a fast UFS 2.1 internal storage, Redmi Note 8 Pro has a way more powerful chipset with better CPU performance, a more advanced cooling system, and even a better GPU. Its only disadvantage is the 12 nm production process which makes it less energy efficient, but you should not notice a big difference when it comes to battery life.

Camera

Realme XT and Redmi Note 8 Pro have a very similar camera department. Both feature a quad camera on their back with exactly the same kind of sensors: the world’s first 64 MP camera for mobile devices, an ultrawide lens, a dedicated macro camera, and a depth sensor, all with the same 8 + 2 + 2 MP resolutions. On the paper, Redmi Note 8 Pro seems to have a better front camera, while Realme XT is capable of recording 960 fps ultra slow motion videos. For now, it is a draw, at least until we test Realme XT’s camera thoroughly.

Battery

Xiaomi equipped the Redmi Note 8 Pro with a way bigger battery than Realme XT, but its components have a way higher power consumption. The display is more energy-demanding being a wider LCD panel, as well as the MediaTek Helio G90T chipset compared to the Snapdragon 712. That is why we believe that those two phones will provide a similar battery life. However, we had no chance to test Realme XT thoroughly as it was announced yesterday, so give us some time before asking us a definitive opinion.

Price

Realme XT debuted in the Indian market with a €200/$225 starting price, while Redmi Note 8 Pro is expected to cost about €180/$200 in the peninsula. Overall, Realme XT looks like a slightly better device for average users, but if you are either an advanced user who needs the max performance or a gamer, Redmi Note 8 Pro is a better option. Obviously, this verdict is only based on the specs on the paper as we will be able to give our final thoughts only after testing both the handsets thoroughly (we are talking especially about their very similar camera departments and battery life).

Fiio M11 Pro Dual AK4497EQ Blutooth 5

Fiio has shared a few shreds of information about the M11 Pro audio player. Let us check them out.

FiiO audio player products line

Still riding high on the success of the Fiio M11, which continues to be one of the most popular mid-tier portable DAPs on the market today, Fiio is gearing up to launch three new models including the M11 Pro, M15, and M15 Pro. The aforesaid models will be launched on different dates, given that they are all developed by the same R&D team.

Who might need Fiio M11 Pro?

Several users bought the X7/X7MK2 with AM3D. The M11 Pro can also be dubbed “X7MK3.” Both AM3D and M11 Pro adopt the THX AAA amp technology, paired with similar sound signatures. The M11 Pro packs two AK4497s as the DAC chip, which offers better performance than the ESS chips, used by the X7/X7MK2.

Compared to the X7/X7MK2, the M11 Pro boasts an improved array of features including better main control, display, function and a radically enhanced control experience.

Why M11 Pro Costs $200 More than M11?

The M11 Pro carries a $769 price tag, but you can grab a $20 off by applying coupon code FIIOM11PRO (from Hifigo.com) at the time of checking out. While the M11 Pro will set you back about $200 more than the standard version of the M11 (varies by tariff and VAT), it is still reasonable, given that other steeply-priced models offer lower configuration.

M11 pro

The $200 increase in the selling price can be attributed to improved configuration. The company utilizes $200 to equip the M11 Pro will better chip AK4497, larger capacity FLASH chip (32G more), improved amp chip and THX license fee. Other improved features include independent analog volume adjustment chip addition and a larger battery with about 600 mA increase.

Shipping Details

M11 Pro production is followed by multiple testing and inspection, along with debugging software details. After the completion of this time-consuming process, the M11 Pro will be available for shipping at the end of this month, Fiio has officially confirmed.

Fiio M11 Pro Stainless Steel Version

The eye-catching stainless steel variant of the Fiio M11 Pro weighs in at 100g more. Fiio notes that a lot of users aren’t really concerned about the negligible difference in the sound signature between Fiio M11 Pro Stainless Steel Version and M11 Pro Standard Version.

M11 Pro

Fiio will not mass produce the M11 Pro Stainless Steel Version, given that the defective rate is too high to produce as the standard of Fiio is strict. There are high chances that those who like it, may not buy it. It is imperative for the company to accurately consider the potential quantity from the market in an effort to avoid overstocking.

The latest iPhone 11 models are already available for pre-order in China and maybe launch soon for the second-largest smartphone market. Thus, it is just apt that AnTuTu shares some information about the performance and memory configurations of the new Apple models as seen on its database.

The screenshots shared on AnTuTu’s Weibo page lists the models as iPhone 12, 1, iPhone 12, 3 and iPhone 12, 5, which are the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max. The AnTuTu scores of the trio don’t have any significant difference. This is due to the fact that all three utilises Apple A13 Bionic processor. However, the clock speed may differ as the iPhone 11 Pro Max has the highest score of 462098 points. The most interesting part is that all three iPhone 11 models are listed with 4GB of RAM. That means talks of a 6GB  RAM variant are just rumours. To further buttress this point, the iPhone 1 Pro Max with 512GB storage is also sited to have 4GB of RAM. The iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro both listed with 256GB storage equally have 4GB of RAM. That is why September is the best month to provide you a ranking with top flagship smartphones currently available in the market. Here you will find 10 devices that you should actually consider at all costs if you are searching for a new smartphone and you do not have any limit to your budget.

Top Flagship Smartphones of September 2019

Samsung Galaxy Note 10+

If you are pretending the best in the Android market and you are also a power user, give a chance to Samsung and grab a unit of the Galaxy Note 10+. With its top-tier specifications, it won’t disappoint you in any way, and it even supports S Pen for handwriting and drawing, which can also be used as a motion controller. It comes with a huge 6.8-inch screen and it provides the best viewing quality you can expect in the Android world, as well as an amazing quad-camera which does not have a lot of rivals, and a big 4300 mAh battery supporting reverse wireless charging. The phone is waterproof and it sports 12 GB of RAM paired with either a Snapdragon 855 or an Exynos 9825 chipset depending on the region.

OnePlus 7 Pro

Alongside the Huawei P30 Pro, the OnePlus 7 Pro is definitely the most amazing and important Chinese flagship smartphone released in the first half of 2019. For the first time, OnePlus switched to a Quad HD screen and we even got a 90 Hz refresh ratio. So the OP7 Pro comes with one of the best displays out there. It is even one of the fastest smartphones thanks to a Snapdragon 855 chipset, up to 12 GB of RAM, UFS 3.0 storage and perfect software optimization. And it comes with a premium design including a high screen-to-body ratio and a motorized pop-up camera.

Huawei P30 Pro

Even though it is probably not the best ones, it is wise to give Huawei P30 Pro the award as the king of camera phones. With this device, Huawei reinvented the world of photography defining a brand new paradigma. The main sensor of the handset is an RYYB sensor, meaning that yellow replaces green in the RGB paradigma in order to capture a lot more light, for perfect night shots. Huawei P30 Pro is even the first camera phone to feature 5x optical zoom and up to 50x digital zoom.

Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max

Some may not like its design due to the chunky camera module on the back, but there is probably no better phone than iPhone 11 Pro Max when it comes to performances. It provides blazing speeds thanks to a new Apple A13 chipset and it even sports a camera which reaches a professional quality with videos and other specific areas. Its price is all but affordable, however, it offers an amazing hardware department, a great software optimization, awesome camera capabilities and even an excellent display with a 120 Hz refresh ratio.

Samsung Galaxy S10+

If you want a Samsung flagship smartphone but you do not need the S Pen, you can save some money by going for the Samsung Galaxy S10+. It still has a big battery with reverse wireless charging, as well as an amazing display, but it lacks the S Pen and it has a way more affordable price. The hardware department is not so different, and it even sports a better selfie camera. The phone is waterproof, but it lacks the fourth camera on the back and it stops at three sensors. Among other important elements, it has more compact dimensions, powerful stereo speakers and a punch-hole borderless display.

Asus ROG Phone II

Are you a gamer and you would like to reach the best skills in mobile games? Choose ROG Phone II without thinking twice. It is a flagship phone meant specifically for gamers, with a gaming-centric and aggressive design including LED lights, additional keys, the support to external gaming accessories and even an advanced cooling system. Obviously, you will get the max performance you may need on a phone, thanks to the Snapdragon 855+ chipset, up to 12 GB of RAM and internal storage which goes up to 1 TB (UFS 3.0).

Sony Xperia 1

Sony Xperia 1 is the debut of CinemaWide displays. The screen of this flagship has not only a 4K resolution but a taller 21:9 aspect ratio for all the multimedia lovers. And thanks to technologies borrowed from Sony TVs such as HDR BT.2020 and X-Reality Engine, you will get an astonishing quality while watching your favorite movies or TV series on your phone. A top-tier hardware department is not missing, with a Snapdragon 855 chipset and 6 GB of RAM. The phone even comes with powerful stereo speakers and Dolby Atmos audio. The camera department is all but disappointing and it includes a triple camera with OIS, optical zoom and wide angle, supporting ultra slow motion videos up to 960 fps.

Oppo Reno 10x zoom

As the name suggests, the Oppo Reno 10x zoom focuses on cameras, specifically on zoom capabilities. Just like the Huawei P30 Pro, it supports 5x optical zoom, alongside 10x hybrid zoom. And its cameras are able to click amazing shots in every condition. Another strong point is its awesome design with a shark fin pop-up camera and a high screen-to-body ratio, as well as a stunning and original glass back. It even has a big 4k mAh battery and a wide 6.6-inch display.

Huawei Honor 20 Pro

The Honor 20 Pro is the latest iteration of the affordable flagship, but it still comes with top-tier camera capabilities. Its quad rear camera has the brightest focal aperture ever seen on a Huawei phone (f/1.4), and it even includes a dedicated macro camera and a telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. While the camera is its strongest point, Honor 20 Pro is also focused on quality-price ratio, that is why it does not have a high-end display. But it still comes with a big battery and a top-end hardware side including the same Kirin 980 chipset found on the P30 Pro.

Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro

Last but not least, Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro: another affordable flagship. Its camera is not comparable to the best camera phones out there, but it provides top-tier performances thanks to the Snapdragon 855 SoC. Further, it comes with an HDR display, a big battery and a groundbreaking design including a suggestive glass back with light effects and a pop-up camera allowing the presence of a notch-less screen with very narrow bezels.

Should your actual phone stop working, which flagship would you pick? You can let us know in the comment box below.

GeekBench listing shows Apple A13 Bionic is way faster than the Snapdragon 855+

Apple unveiled the iPhone 11 series a couple of days back with all three models brandishing a new A13 Bionic processor. Apple says theA13 Bionic SoC is more powerful than the Snapdragon 855 and the Kirin 980, respectively. A GeekBench listing for the iPhone 11 has shown that th company was apparently being modest with its claims.

The GeekBnech listing shows the SoC is much faster than not just the SD 855 and Kirin 980 but also the Snapdragon 855+ and on both the single-core and multi-core tests. The A13 Bionic also records a faster performance than Samsung’s Exynos 9825 that powers the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+.iPhone 11 GeekBench

The device is listed as iPhone 12,3 but is believed to be the iPhone 11 powered by the Apple A13 Bionic. The device scored a massive 5,472 points in the single-core benchmark on Geekbench 4 and on the multi-core test it scores 13,769 points, which is equally impressive.

Huawei starts selling Matebook laptop models running Linux via VMall in China

Apart from the smartphone business, one of Huawei‘s stronghold is its laptop business. Huawei manufactures some of the best laptops worldwide, in terms of design and even the configuration (hardware and software). Until now, Huawei laptops run Microsoft Windows but the recent US trade ban is threatening to shut down the laptop business. Well. that isn’t going to happen as Huawei has started selling its latest Matebook models running Deepin Linux. Huawei Matebook 13 Linus

Deepin is a Chinese software brand with a beautiful and polished desktop Linux distribution. The laptop models were spotted on Huawei’s official store in China – VMall. The models listed include the Huawei Matebook X Pro, Matebook 13 and Matebook 14. On the interface, the Windows logo is ditched and replaced with a key that simply reads “Start.” The prices also vary slightly from those of the Windows version with all three models priced at 300 yuan (about $42 USD) less than the Windows 10-running models.

EDITOR’S PICK: Vivo adds a high-end 12GB + 256GB variant for the iQOO Pro 5G in China

While we cannot say for sure why the company released these versions, it may not be unconnected to the US/China trade war in which Huawei is caught in the middle. When the trade ban goes into effect, Huawei won’t be able to install Microsoft Windows on its laptops. but with this new option, the company may just have found an easy alternative.

The Chinese tech giant had also hinted that it would launch laptops running its self-developed HarmonyOS in the future. But for now, Deepin Linux comes to the rescue and we believe the company must have worked on the software to ensure that the desktop and other aspects like battery are optimised.

Apple iPhone 11 is open for Pre-orders in China, receives over 1 Milllion reservations

Apple announced the new iPhone 11 lineup consisting of the iPhone 11, 11 Pro, and 11 Pro Max on September 10. The new Apple phones are set to go on sale from September 20 worldwide, and today, pre-orders have begun globally. The pre-orders for the iPhone 11 lineup is also open in China now on platforms such as JD.com and Tmall.

iPhone 11 series

What’s interesting is that all the three iPhone models put together received over 1 million reservations on JD.com before the pre-orders began. So despite the recent sales decline of Apple in China, the company’s new models seem to have received a pretty good response. Of course, these were just reservations showing interest, but it still shows that Apple’s brand value is intact in the market.

Apple iPhone 11 is open for pre-orders on Jingdong starting today

The pre-orders began today at 8 PM in China, and orders will start shipping from September 20, the same day the phone ships globally. The iPhone 11 starts at 5499 Yuan ($777), 11 Pro at 8699 Yuan ($1230), and 11 Pro Max at 9599 Yuan ($1356) in China. If you are interested in the global pricing and availability of the iPhone 11 models, check this article. The new models come with the new Apple A13 Bionic processor, powerful dual/triple cameras, iOS 13, and relatively long battery life.

⇒ Editor’s Pick: The Apple iPhone 11 has a BIG disadvantage in China!

Despite its powerful specifications, the Apple iPhone 11 models don’t come with 5G support. For a country like China where 5G is going to be a huge deal, this could turn out to be a significant disadvantage for the new models. Also, the ongoing trade war could negatively affect the sales of the lineup in the region.

Still, getting 1M reservations before the pre-orders began can be considered as a good sign for Apple. And if China and the U.S. can resolve their trade dispute in the coming months, with something like a 5G licensing deal from Huawei, things could get even better for the Cupertino giant in the world’s largest smartphone market.

Realme releases their Android 10 update roadmap, with notable exceptions

Earlier today, Realme launched its 64-megapixel totting Realme XT smartphone in India. The Realme XT features a quad-Bayer 64-megapixel shooter, a Super AMOLED display, and a glass-polycarbonate construction. While the announcement of this phone was quite something, the company also made another explosive announcement.

Realme’s India head, Madhav Sheth, revealed that Realme will be extending the upcoming Android 10 to a number of its popular devices available across multiple price segments. The company announced that the Realme XT, the Realme X, Realme 5 Pro, and Realme 3 Pro are set to receive Android 10 in the first quarter of 2020.

Revealing its Android 10 roadmap, the company also said that it will be extending this software to devices in the budget segment, including the Realme 5 and Realme 3i. However, the update will hit these devices in the second quarter of the year. Finally, we’ve got the Realme 2 Pro getting upgraded to Android 10 in Q3 2020.

Realme claims they plans to upgrade all its phones by the end of next year, but there are some pretty noticeable exceptions in the list. These few devices are completely missing from the list.

  • Realme 1
  • Realme 2
  • Realme C1
  • Realme C1 2019
  • Realme C2
  • Realme U1

It’s not very surprising to see the Realme 1 and Realme 2 is missing on the list, but perhaps the most surprising is the lack of the Realme C1 2019. That device was only released earlier this year, it’s surprising that it’s not getting the update any sooner. We hope they give us an update on these devices soon.

Redmi Note 8 Pro 64MP camera vs. Realme 5 Pro vs. Huawei P30 Pro: Ultimate Camera Comparison

[embedyt] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mBs8jpvyT5o[/embedyt]

64MP camera & MTK Helio G90T

We are used to seeing new technologies featured on mainstream flagships. But recently, Redmi changed our imagination with the newly released Redmi Note 8 Pro: a true mid-range phone with an outstanding camera setup. A few months ago, Samsung released its latest phone camera sensor, the GW1 sensor, with a 64MP resolution. After its release, a competition started among smartphone makers, especially between Xiaomi and Realme to release the first phone with this sensor. And now, the winner is in our hands, the Redmi Note 8 Pro, the first smartphone with a 64MP-resolution camera.

The camera is not the only highlight of the Redmi Note 8 Pro. The phone is also the first phone to come with the MTK Helio G90T CPU. This new chip is a high-performance CPU targeted at the gaming market.

For convenience, we will divide the full review into two parts. We first bring the Redmi Note 8 Pro vs. Realme 5 Pro vs. Huawei P30 Pro camera comparison in this review, and in the next one, we will show you our test results on its gaming performance.

Redmi Note 8 Pro: Camera

The vertical arrangement of the cameras on the RN8Pro is similar to the symmetrical setup on the Redmi K20 series. And it’s pretty smart that the fingerprint reader is right at the bottom of this vertical arrangement. The fingerprint reader is smaller in size but offers a superfast unlocking experience.

An issue is that the camera housing protrudes quite a bit. But it has a similar hands-on feeling to the design of the OnePlus 7. Though the housing is centered at the back, the phone still wobbles a bit when it’s on the table.

From top to bottom, there is a 2MP portrait camera, followed by a primary 64MP Samsung camera with f/1.89 aperture, an 8MP wide-angle camera, and finally a 2MP macro camera.

We have already seen the first qual-camera combination on the Realme 5 Pro. As a result, to understand how powerful the 64MP resolution can be, we will do a full comparison of the Redmi Note 8 Pro with the Realme 5 Pro (its strongest competitor) and the Huawei P30 Pro (the industrial benchmark). At no point, the RN8Pro is expected to surpass the P30 Pro, but this will show you how its camera fares as compared to the best in the industry.

Redmi Note 8 Pro Camera: Outdoors

Under good light conditions, the samples shot by the Redmi Note 8 Pro generally have great color reproduction as compared to the other two. It reproduces a natural color tone but uses AI recognition at the same time to make the samples slightly dramatic. Details are much better preserved as well.

In this group of samples, we turn off the color filter of the P30 Pro’s camera APP and add a chroma boost effect on the Realme 5 Pro. Actually, the P30 Pro shows better color reproduction no matter the details or the contrast exposure, while on the Realme 5 Pro, with boosted effects, images show a greater dramatic effect, while being rich details and featuring high-saturated colors in the bright parts. But it suffers from noise when the lights go down.

In low-light conditions, the P30 Pro shows its advantage in exposure balance. Both the bright lamps and dark areas have the right exposure and clear details. The Redmi Note 8 Pro is not bad considering its the first machine featuring the latest flagship Samsung camera sensor. However you do find some noise, despite not being very evident.

The Realme 5 Pro still maintains its dramatic boost style with vivid colors and bright exposure but brings in more noise as a result.

In another group of photos of outdoor buildings, the Realme 5 Pro shows its delightful color reproduction with the perfect use of its chroma boost mode. For those who wanna simplify their post-editing work, I would say that the samples shot by the Realme 5 Pro are ready for social media right out of the gallery. The other two phones still maintain their good performance under such good lighting conditions.

An obvious difference here is that the images shot by the Huawei P30 Pro showcased relatively warmer tones while it’s much cooler on the Redmi Note 8 Pro. So generally, we prefer the P30 Pro for close portrait or still-life photography while we love the Note 8 Pro for landscape shots. This is because warm colors typically come out well in paintings or even in photos while cold colors recede. This was especially evident in the group of high buildings photos, where the samples of Redmi Note 8 Pro were much cooler.

Redmi Note 8 Pro vs. Realme 5 Pro: High-resolution comparison

All these three phones have a high-resolution camera. The Huawei P30 Pro can output 40MP photos, and the Realme 5 Pro has the mainstream sony IMX586 with 48MP resolution, while amazingly, the Redmi Note 8 Pro can generate 64MP photos. The higher resolution also means you need more storage space.

A 40MP photo of the P30 Pro takes up around 8MB. The figure for the Realme 5 Pro is around 15MB, and for a 64MP photo shot by the Redmi Note 8 Pro you’ll need around 27MB of space. Fortunately, most users won’t have to resort to high-resolution photography all the time.

But there’s no doubt that the 64MP resolution sensor demonstrated some powerful advantages. The pictures shot by the Redmi Note 8 Pro retained more details and had less blur on photos (take the sculptures’ surface in the samples down below for example). Look at the zoomed-in images below and you’ll see that the 64MP photo caught better details of the sculptures even though we zoomed-in quite a lot.

Close shot

The Realme 5 Pro and the Redmi Note 8 Pro both feature a macro camera. But unfortunately, our tests show that it may not be very practical. Although it’s probably good for shooting extremely close subjects, under most conditions, their primary cameras can do a much better job due to better resolution and a more natural bokeh effect.

Ultra-wide angle

Huawei has a wide-angle camera with higher resolution, which made it take the lead in this round. From the samples of the other two phones, we actually can find the color deviation to some extent. The Redmi Note 8 Pro samples seem to come with a yellow-based high-contrast filter, while the Realme 5 Pro samples have more of a green filter.

Redmi Note 8 Pro vs. Realme 5 Pro: Tele zoom

As for their zoom capacity, Huawei P30 Pro has one of the best telephoto cameras that you can find on a phone. So here we just want to show you the difference between the other two models as compared to the industrial benchmark. In the 5x zoom-in samples, the two mid-range models suffered from too much AI adjustment as the sky colors all turned out to be reddish. However, in the case of the Huawei P30 Pro, the detail retention was really remarkable especially when we saw the fountain in the sample. But in all fairness, please note that both the Realme and Redmi models do not feature a telephoto camera. So when it came to the 2x zoom-in competition, things got way better. Noticeably, the Realme 5 Pro still maintains high saturation.

In these samples of the water surface, it seems that Redmi applied a radical AI solution when facing a low-light situation, so the sky was reflected remarkably compared to the other two samples.

Redmi Note 8 Pro vs. Realme 5 Pro: Night performance

As for the night shooting, all the three phones were pretty capable so as to make it their selling point. From the shooting experience, the Huawei P30 Pro forced you to hold the phone for more than 3 seconds, while the other two require just around a 2-second hold for shooting multi-photos with different exposures. But judging from the overall brightness and exposure balance, all the three candidates did a really great job.

However, their optimization strategies are quite different. The realme 5 Pro retained a natural image with limited noise at the center. Redmi Note 8 Pro’s sample featured more details due to a reduction of highlight exposure. While for the Huawei P30 Pro, it achieved the brightest night sample. Some people may even complain that Huawei has gone too far with its night mode.

⇒ Editor’s Pick: Realme XT with 64MP quad rear cameras, SD712 SoC, 8GB RAM goes official in India

Conclusion

After comparing hundreds of samples shot by the three machines, we have to admit that the Huawei P30 Pro is still one of the best camera smartphones. The phone consistently produced strong colors, good details, and accurate exposure in all situations.

As for the Redmi Note 8 Pro, thanks to its high-resolution primary camera, it reserved the richest details. As the first phone featuring a 64MP camera, we are looking forward to its continuous software adaptation and development of more interesting applications. For the Realme 5 Pro, the Sony IMX586 provided the most mature experience. Matching the wonderful Realme camera algorithm, the images would surprise you at first glance with saturated tones and accurate exposure control. But for some, Realme’s camera could be a bit too saturated at times.

As for the Redmi Note 8 Pro, we saw its potentials as well as shortages in this comparison. The phone managed to capture natural tones with good details in all samples. Even the night mode turned out to be impressive despite the samples coming out a little overexposed at times.

One thing’s sure, with phones like the Redmi Note 8 Pro hitting the markets, cameras on mid-range smartphones will never be the same. You no longer have to buy a flagship smartphone for remarkable camera performance.

So which phone’s camera do you like the most?
