Earlier today, images of the Redmi 8A surfaced on the web, thanks to a partial TENAA listing. The full-listing has now been published and it reveals the full specs of the upcoming phone.
The Redmi 8A with model number M1908C3KE will be packing some big upgrades. First, the display gets a massive bump from 5.45-inches to 6.217-inches and the resolution is now 720 x 1520. This will be sad news for those who have always liked the series for its small form factor.
There is a 2.0GHz octa-core processor under the hood. The Redmi 8A will come in 2GB, 3GB, and 4GB RAM variants with 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB of storage respectively. The phone will have support for storage expansion and TENAA says maximum capacity is 512GB.
A single 12MP camera sits on the back while an 8MP camera sits in front for selfies. What is weird is that the TENAA listing says there are a total of 3 cameras on the device. This is most likely an error.
The Redmi 8A will not only get a bigger display but a bigger battery to match. TENAA says the battery capacity is 5000mAh. The phone runs Android 9 Pie just like its predecessor.
The dimensions are given as 156.3 x 75.4 x 9.4 millimeters and the weight is 188 grams. The listing says it will come in black, red, blue, pink, white, green, purple, gray but we know only three or four color variants will be available.
After six hectic days, IFA 2019 is coming to an end. A lot of companies announced their most innovative tech products and several smartphones manufacturers took the wraps off their new flagships and affordable devices. There were so many new smartphones at the event that it became hard to remember each of them, even when it comes to the most important ones. That is why we decided to pick up all the most interesting smartphones and feature phones launched at IFA 2019 and collect them in one article. Here you will find the top phones announced at the event which catalyzed a lot of hype during the introduction.
Top smartphones launched at IFA 2019
(Note: The phones below have been ordered randomly)
1Samsung Galaxy A90 5G
A lot of people would never expect Samsung to announce a brand new 5G flagship smartphone at IFA 2019, but the Korean giant did it, a few days after the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 series in the global market. Unlike all the other handsets from the A-series, the Galaxy A90 5G is the only flagship not belonging to the S or Note line-ups. It is equipped with a Snapdragon 855 chipset and it comes with a wide 6.7-inch display boasting the AMOLED technology and a Full HD+ resolution. It also sports a triple rear camera and a 4500 mAh battery.
Both Nokia 6.2 and 7.2 are new mid-rangers by HMD Global. Among their highlights, there are HDR displays and a rear triple camera equipped with Carl Zeiss on the Nokia 7.2. They both come with 600-series Qualcomm’s chipset: Snapdragon 636 and Snapdragon 660, respectively. And they both have 3500 mAh batteries, as well as Android One out of the box based on Android 9 Pie. They are going to hit the market with price tags of €200 and €300, respectively.
3Nokia 2720 and 800 Tough
Nokia 2720 and 800 Tough are not smartphones: HMD Global decided once again to launch old-school feature phones. The first is a retro flip phone, while the second is a rugged phone with an IP68 rating and a MIL-STD-810G certification. Given that they are feature phones, battery life is undoubtedly their strong point. But despite not being smartphones, they still maintain some smart features thanks to the operating system KaiOS. Besides coming with a camera, they also have 4G connectivity and they support a few important apps such as WhatsApp, Facebook and Google Maps.
4Samsung Galaxy Fold
After delaying its launch several times, during the IFA 2019, Samsung finally announced the launch of the Galaxy Fold in the global market. The company made some tweaks in order to make its first foldable phones more resistant and avoid every kind of display issues. So now the handset finally went into commerce with a sturdier body. It is currently available in South Korea, but in a few days, it will hit select international markets with a price tag around €2000. Unfortunately, not every country will get it.
5Sony Xperia 5
During its keynote at IFA 2019, Sony officially unveiled the Xperia 5: a compact iteration of its last flagship Xperia 1. We can define Sony Xperia 5 as the only really compact flagship released in the second half of 2019 globally, given that it is powered by the Snapdragon 855 chipset. Sony already started accepting pre-orders in a few European countries with a price tag ranging from €800 to €850 depending on the market.
Nubia Red Magic 3S
6Nubia Red Magic 3S
After Qualcomm released the Snapdragon 855+ chipset that is an upgraded version of the Snapdragon 855 with a higher clock frequency and higher graphics performances, even Nubia decided to release an upgraded variant of its latest gaming phone Red Magic 3. Its name is Red Magic 3S and it is obviously powered by the Snapdragon 855+. After an initial phase of reservations, the phone went on sale two days ago in China with a starting price of CNY 2,999 which roughly translates into $419 at the actual change, for the configuration with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage.
7Asus ROG Phone II
The ROG Phone II was already official, but Asus took advantage of the IFA 2019 to launch it in the global market. The handset also came in a new configuration called Ultimate Edition equipped with 1 TB of internal UFS 3.0 storage. Before this launch, the ROG Phone 2 came with a max 512 GB of internal storage. The rest of the specifications remains the same as the previous version launched in the Asian market. The price tag for the global market starts from €899.
Alongside the new Kirin 990 which will power the Mate 30 series, Huawei unveiled two new color variants of its P30 Pro. The phone comes with exactly the same hardware specifications, but in the new Misty Lavender and Mistyc Blue color variants, it embraces the “panda” color scheme with two different textures on the back cover. Further, these color variants of the Huawei P30 Pro will hit the market with EMUI 10 out of the box based on Android 10, unlike the other color variants.
After the announcement of three flagships at MWC 2019, not everyone expected LG to launch another flagship phone. But the Korean company came up at IFA 2019 with the LG G8X, which will also be known as the V50S ThinQ in its homeland. It comes with a revamped dual-screen accessory adding another display which is the same as the main phone’s display, as well as a monochromatic mini display on the external part, showing time, date and notifications.
10Motorola One Zoom and E6 Plus
Despite launching a couple of phones in Asia, Lenovo unveiled a camera-focused device called Motorola One Zoom, which is equipped with a quad-camera setup on its rear side. It is a mid-ranger, but it provides outstanding camera capabilities thanks to OIS, quad pixel technology for amazing low light performance, and a telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom and OIS. The company also unveiled the Moto E6 Plus entry-level device with the Helio P22 chipset which will hit the European market with a €139 price tag.
11TCL Plex
Alongside a few Alcatel devices, TCL unveiled its first self-produced smartphone. Its name is TCL Plex and it is a value for money smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 675 paired with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage which you can furtherly expand with a micro SD. TCL Plex has a 6.53-inch punch-hole display with a Full HD+ resolution and a triple camera with a double LED flash and advanced software which improves colors in real-time. The battery has a 3800 mAh capacity and the phone integrates the T-Cast app allowing to remotely control TCL TVs. It will launch in Europe in Q4 and it will carry a €329 price.
OnePlus conducted the Open Ears Forum in Goa, India back in May 2019. OEF is a good platform for developers and OnePlus community to come forward and discuss everything about OnePlus and its devices. While it’s been nearly four months since the event, the mods on the OnePlus forums have finally revealed the company’s commitments towards the points raised at the event.
Despite its delay, the commitment points from the Open Ears Forum reveal some interesting changes. One of the highlighted points at the event was the aggressive background app management by OxygenOS to save battery. This was a pain point for a lot of developers as it meant many apps were getting killed in the background. The company has promised a solution to this issue in the upcoming updates.
Another interesting point raised at the event was about End of life (EOL) OnePlus devices. The company has committed to promoting custom ROMs on OnePlus Forums as well as on its social media platforms for its EOL devices. This comes in as a pleasant update for old OnePlus users whose phones are at the end of their update cycles. Despite OnePlus’ excellent update policy (even OnePlus 3T got Android Pie!), all phones have an expiry date for their official support. And when it ends, custom ROMs come as a savior to offer new features as well as updates to such abandoned models.
Other commitments made by OnePlus after the event include releasing Kernel sources on time for all builds including Open Beta build, introducing a bounty program for reporting security vulnerabilities, and organizing more OnePlus community meetups in the future.
Smartphone models like the OnePlus 3 and the 3T are set to lose their official software support soon and this new policy by OnePlus could mean users have better access to custom ROMs for their devices.
Realme has seen tremendous growth in India in the past one year. It has grown from a relatively unknown brand to the fourth-largest smartphone maker in India today. Driving its growth has been affordable yet powerful mid-rangers like the Realme 3 Pro, 5 Pro, and the Realme X.
The company recently teased its Realme XT smartphone as India’s First 64MP Quad Camera smartphone. The device will launch later this week and just before that, Realme has signed the popular Indian youth icon and actor, Ayushmann Khurrana as its brand ambassador. He becomes the first brand ambassador for the company which was established back in May 2018 by Sky Li. Since its inception, Realme has launched products in more than 20 markets across the world, with a special focus on Asian markets.
Realme will work with Ayushmann to promote its ‘Dare to Leap’ identity. He will reportedly feature in an integrated marketing campaign to promote the upcoming 64MP realme XT in India. He is also said to contribute to the phone’s image tuning and optimizations.
Lenovo-owned Motorola brand had teased the launch of a new smartphone in India a few days back. The device has now been confirmed to be the Moto E6s. The company will take the wraps off the Moto E6s in India on September 16.
This was confirmed a while ago by Flipkart which launched a new landing page for the Moto E6s on its website. The page contains several pictures of the device, showcasing the front and rear designs. The design and listed specifications show the E6s is basically the Moto E6 Plus that was unveiled at IFA Berlin 2019 last week.
Moto E6s
As a reminder, the Moto E6 Plus packs a 6.1-inch LCD display with a waterdrop notch and an HD+ resolution of 720p. The device utilises a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and has an 80% screen-to-body ratio. The phone is powered by an Helio P22 chipset and comes in 2GB/4GB RAM versions and 32GB/64GB of internal storage. The Flipkart page shows the E6s will have a 4GB+64GB variant as well.
The camera specs sort of confirms the similarity of both models. Flipkart lists the Moto E6s to pack a 13MP sensor with an f/2 aperture while the second camera is a 2MP depth sensor. At the front, there is an 8MP selfie camera with f/2 aperture for capturing cool selfies. The front camera can be assisted by a screen flash when shooting in darker spaces.
Moto E6s
The device is also expected to pack a 3000mAh removable battery under the hood like the E6 Plus. The Moto E6 Plus doesn’t have a 3.5mm audio jack on board but for the India market, we wish Motorola can make the E6s have one. That may likely not happen. The only difference between the E6 Plus and E6s is likely the name. We’ll have to wait until it is officially launched to find out more.

Yesterday, Apple announced its new iPhone lineup that now features a triple camera setup for the Pro models. During the announcement, Apple officials focused mainly on the new and interesting features that come with the triple camera setup of the iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max. But it seems that Chinese manufacturers like UMIDIGI prefer to take it to the next level by adopting quad-camera setups. The upcoming flagship, UMIDIGI F2, will feature such a camera setup with a dedicated macro lens according to the latest leak.
The information that surfaced refers to a fourth camera in addition to the traditional triple setup. The additional camera on the F2 has a 5MP macro lens and sits just below the LED flash and is able to take close-up shots from just 2 centimeters away. This is very useful especially for nature fans that can use it to shoot detailed photos of small insects or the pollen inside a flower for example. But tech fans can also use it to take close up photos of small ports and buttons on devices.
As the image leaked reveals, the main camera hosts a 48MP sensor of 1/2″ in size, f/1.79 aperture, and 1.6μm (4in1) pixel size. The top 5MP camera acts as a depth camera for better bokeh effect on portraits while the bottom unit is a 13MP ultra-wide-angle camera with 120 degrees FoV.
Previous information had revealed that the new flagship will ship with Android 10 out-of-the-box and a punch-hole selfie shooter of probably 32MP. It’s also safe to say that it will come with a big battery, a powerful SoC, and plenty of RAM for smooth multitasking. Currently, there are no launch date or price available and it’s rumored that the F2 will be launched at the end of September.
In the meantime, UMIDIGI’s new smart device UMIDIGI Uwake, the world’s first colorful Bluetooth 5.0 speaker with smart alarm clock, just kicked off its sale on Aliexpress at the limited offer of $19.99. You can learn more about it and place your order here.
Google has been delivering some cool juice on the software with successive versions of the Android operating system. On the hardware turf, the US tech company has also been superb right from the Nexus to the latest iteration of the Pixel phones. The company has already confirmed he Pixel 4 is in the works but the launch date is yet to be disclosed. A new leak by popular tipster Evan Blass (@evleaks) suggests the Pixel 4 will be launched on October 15.
The leak comes in the form of a render of the Pixel 4 which seems to come from a screen protector maker. The device’s home screen is displaying the current date as October 15. Of course, October 15 is still more than a month away so this is likely a clue to the launch of the Pixel 4 launch date. The render also shows the device will have a large bezel at the top. The bezel houses an Apple-like Face ID system, and Soli radar sensors that enable motion sensing. The device may not have a physical fingerprint sensor anywhere, as it looks like Google is going all-in with facial recognition, just like Apple.
A second image said to be that of the Pixel 4 XL running the DevCheck Hardware and Software Info app. The display shows the Pixel 4 XL is powered by the Snapdragon 855 chipset, and not the 855+. The device is also said to pack a 6.23-inch display with a screen resolution of 3040×1440 pixel and 19:9 aspect ratio.
Earlier leaked had tipped the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL to sport 90Hz displays, pack 6GB of RAM, and two rear cameras (the main sensor and a telephoto lens). The Pixel 4 XL was said to get a 3,700 mAh battery, while the Pixel 4 with a 5.7-inch display would pack a 2,800 mAh battery. There is no doubt that the Pixel 4 and 4 XL will run Android 10 right out of the box.
The Redmi 8A is an upcoming entry-level device expected to launch alongside the Redmi 8. There have been live photo leaks alleged to be of the device but it turns out that they are not of the Redmi 8A. TENAA Images of the Redmi 8A have surfaced and they reveal an entirely different design.
The Redmi 8A will not have dual rear cameras but a single rear camera just like the Redmi 7A, and the Redmi 6A, and the Redmi 5A, etc. The back has actually been redesigned as the camera is now in the middle and not on the left side. Below it is an LED flash which shares the same housing with the sensor. Redmi has given the middle part of the phone a darker shade than the rest of the body which is actually a nice touch. Unfortunately, the Redmi 8A will not have a fingerprint scanner.
[envira-gallery id=”275656″]
The front of the Redmi 8A shows the selfie camera is in the middle, hinting at a notched display. There is a bit of chin and it has the manufacturer’s name. The SIM card tray is on the left side of the phone while the power button and volume rocker are on the left.
TENAA reveals the phone’s model number is M1908C3KE which is similar to that of the one certified by Thailand’s NBTC (M1908C3KG).
Since this is the Redmi 8A, then the live images that leaked back in August most likely are for the Redmi 8 which makes sense since the Redmi 7 has dual rear cameras and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and that phone also has dual cameras and a fingerprint scanner.
We expect TENAA to release the full spec sheet of the Redmi 8A in a few days.
As per the new reports coming in, India’s Department of Telecom is planning to conclude spectrum auction for the next-generation 5G communications technology by November 30. Further, it also adds that the inter-ministerial panel, Digital Communications Commission, will meet after the third week of September to finalise the spectrum auction prices.
Further, the report adds that the price is expected to be what the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has recommended. The report is citing a source for this report who said that they are in the process of appointing an auctioneer soon. Ravi Shankar Prasad, Telecom Minister is hoping to complete the auction in the current calendar.
Sources also hoped that despite telecom companies crying about their financial conditions, they all would bid for the auction at base price and the government would not have any problem in raising at least the expected revenue calculated on the base price and the fully sold spectrum.
In August last year, TRAI had recommended auction of about 8,644MHz of spectrum across bands at an estimated total base price of ₹4.9 lakh crore, but the industry said the proposed prices were unaffordable and exorbitant.
For instance, for the 5G band in the 3300-3600 MHz (5G), where prices had been given for the first time at ₹492 crore per MHz, for a pan-India minimum block of 20 MHz, operators would have to shell out ₹9,840 crore, which is seen as steep, which telecom companies say is uncompetitive.
Although TRAI had reduced the reserve price by 43 percent at ₹6,568 crore per MHz for the premium 4G spectrum, still for a pan-India 5 MHz block, operators would have to shell out ₹32,840 crore.
Going by global auction of 5G sepctrum, the price of ₹492 crore per MHz for 5G spectrum was seen on the higher side, as the South Korean auctions which happened last year had the price of ₹130 crore per MHz.
However, TRAI sources say that in India, the spectrum is given for 20 years while in South Korea, it is for 10 years. But given that current ecosystem for 5G services, even if auctions are conducted and operators win the spectrum, they will have to wait for a considerable period before it can be effectively used.

Most of smartphones have been removed the 3.5mm earphone jack because of the USB Type-C. Facing this problem, those general users will choose to get a USB Type-C to 3.5mm earphone jack adapter, or a USB Type-C earphone. But for those audiophiles, the removing of 3.5mm earphone jack is really a bad news, because the USB Type-C and adapter cannot support better sound quality.
In the launch event of Meizu 16s Pro, Meizu HiFi DAC Pro Headphone Amplifier has been launched. The 3.5mm earphone jack of Meizu 16s Pro has been removed, which can optimize the internal space of phone. What’s more, it can have high quality audio output with Meizu HiFi DAC Pro Headphone Amplifier.
The Meizu HiFi DAC Pro Headphone Amplifier is priced at $49.99. The package has a simple look, and the parameter is printed on the back side. This amplifier has an impedance of up to 600ohm, which means it supports most of the earphones selling on the market. It also supports PCM 32bit/384kHz and DSD64/DSD128 of decoding capability.
The Meizu HiFi Pro has a clean and small design, which looks like a normal USB Type-C adapter. But please remember, this adapter features HiFi quality audio output.
The DAC chipset is set at the Type-C interface, coming with CS43131, which can be seen through the transparent window. Thanks to the OPA1622 chipset, the Meizu HiFi Pro has better audio quality, and it has been certified by Hi-Res Audio.
The Meizu HiFi Pro Amplifier provides a 3.5mm earphone jack, supporting the earphones having 16ohm to 600ohm impedance, which includes most of the earphones selling on the market.
The amplifier not only supports smartphones, but also supports computers. Whether MAC OS or Windows, the amplifier can be used with free drive, and its audio quality is better than integrated sound card.
We tested the Meizu HiFi Pro Amplifier with B&O A8, UE TF10 and AKG Q710 at first. The amplifier is capable of performing high quality output.
We tested the Meizu HiFi Pro Amplifier with B&O A8, and used the Meizu 16s Pro as the audio source. The first time I used it, I found something wrong with the Meizu HiFi Pro Amplifier, the voice is plain and the bass is weak. However, after three hours playing time, the sound quality has improved. The bass is strong, and the voice is clean.
It is sure that the CS43131 chipset is the reason of good sound quality of Meizu HiFi Pro Amplifier. Meizu Pro 6 Plus Smartphone has good sound quality, and the Meizu amplifier is better than it. The amplifier performs well in low end, it is powerful and is enough to frighten my ears. This device is perfect for listening to popular music. As the soundstage of B&O A8 is wide, you will feel the voice is far from you. In the middle end, the performance of female voices is better than male voices. In the high end, the highs are pretty crisp and clean. To my surprise, there is no distortion in the high end. For this price, it is value for money.
By the way, when the amplifier is in use, the heat would generate in it, but it is not serious.

This year, Lenovo-owned Motorola has launched a number of smartphones under its One branding such as One Vision, One Action, and One Zoom. Now, the company is all set to launch yet another smartphone, which is reportedly called One Macro.
Now, the smartphone with model number XT2016-1 has appeared on NBTC, which is Thailand’s certification agency. The model number is in line with the previously released smartphones from the same lineup. However, the document doesn’t reveal much but since the certification process has started, it could get launched soon.
Also, the Motorola One Macro has been spotted on Geekbench platform, which reveals some information about this upcoming phone. It shows that the device will be powered by an octa-core processor clocked at 1.9GHz, likely Helio P60 SoC and 2GB of RAM.
It also reveals that the smartphone will come powered by Android 9 Pie operating system out-of-the-box. Also, the device has scored 1,429 points the single-core test and 5,584 points in the multi-core test.
Along with all these, the live image of the Motorola One Macro has also been leaked online, which shows that the phone will come with a waterdrop notch display, thick chin and a purple-colored power key and a volume rocker on the right side.
As said, while the phone’s launch date and availability information is not yet revealed by the company, we expect the Motorola One Macro to soon get launched given that the smartphone has started receiving necessary certificates.
Apple announced the shiny new iPhone 11 series yesterday. The new models are all set to hit the markets starting September 20, including in China. iPhones have traditionally been very popular among the Chinese in the premium segment, but things have changed in the past couple of years. Q1 2019 smartphone shipment report from China reveals that Apple’s shipments declined by a solid 30% YoY. Even in Q2 2019, the company’s shipments declined by 6% YoY.
Will the new iPhones change this trend?
While we can’t be sure whether the new iPhone 11 series will change Apple’s performance in China, what we do know is that the Cupertino giant is entering the market with a big disadvantage right from the start. At the iPhone 11 unveiling event yesterday, Apple failed to mention anything related to 5G. And considering how China has bet big on the new 5G technology, it’ll be a big drawback for the new devices.
China’s three major carriers are expected to roll out 5G in major cities by the end of 2019. There are already a handful of 5G Android phones available in the market, giving users the opportunity to connect to this high-speed network technology. But without 5G support, the new iPhones could find it hard to take on the likes of the upcoming Mate 30 Pro 5G or the Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro 5G, despite its cheaper starting price.
The ongoing trade war is yet another big issue for Apple in China. All thanks to the trade ban on Huawei, the nationalist sentiment is on the rise in China. This means a lot of people would prefer buying smartphones from companies like Huawei and OPPO instead of non-Chinese ones like an iPhone.
Also, in terms of features and experience, Android phones have come close to and even sometimes surpassed the iPhones. For example, there was a time when iPhones had no competition in the camera department. But with the recent advancements from companies like Huawei and Samsung, we have some really powerful camera flagships in the Android ecosystem.
In fact, Chinese Android phones now offer better and more advanced features than iPhones. For example, Xiaomi recently unveiled the world’s fastest wireless charging technology with 30W fast charging. Huawei’s RYYB sensor on the P30 Pro has taken its camera prowess to new heights. Then there’s Vivo experimenting with the display on its phone to make them nearly bezel-less. All the new advancements are available to Chinese customers first, at a price that’s less than the top-end iPhones.
Also, Huawei’s efforts to capture nearly 50% of the Chinese market would also adversely affect Apple’s performance in the region. The Chinese telecommunications giant has doubled its efforts to expand in the Chinese market after facing an uncertain future from the US ban. Even its new Mate 30 Pro flagship is expected to first go on sale in China. The international release could likely be delayed.
Will the Cheaper iPhone 11 Pricing Help?
Apple made a smart move by keeping the pricing of the iPhone 11 cheaper than its predecessor. But it still isn’t affordable in the Chinese market.
For example, when the P30 Pro was officially announced in China back in April, its 8GB+128GB started at 5488 Yuan in China. The base variant of the new iPhone 11 (dual-cameras) with 64GB storage starts at 5499 Yuan.
See the issue here? When the Mate 30 Pro will be officially announced in China later this month, it will be priced very close to this figure. And the phone will come with 5G support, a large battery, super-fast charging, one of the best cameras in the world, as well as a powerful AI chipset. Plus, its a Chinese smartphone, which means you support your home country when you purchase the device.
Considering these factors, Apple may not have an easy time selling its iPhones in China, at least not in the figures like it used to a few years back.
Daniel Ives, an analyst at WedBush states that about a third of the 900 million iPhone users across the globe are due for an upgrade in the next 12 to 18 months. Also, around 60 to 70 million Chinese consumers are due for an upgrade which could help push iPhone 11 series sales in the coming months.
Also, even if Apple doesn’t do as well as in China as it did back in its glory days, the company is still likely to profit internationally due to the ongoing trade war. With Huawei banned from using Google services on its phones, its international sales could take a hit. This opens up an opportunity for Apple to capture Huawei’s market share in the premium segment.
Also, a cheaper iPhone is reportedly in the works and is said to release next year. That could come as a respite for iOS users who are looking to upgrade to a new iPhone model but don’t want to spend a fortune buying one.
After months of leaks, Apple has finally unveiled the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max smartphones. These iPhones will be replacing the iPhone XR, iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max from last year. The Apple A13 Bionic SoC powered 2019 iPhones with stellar cameras, topnotch performance, new iOS 13 and longer battery life.
To know about the specifications and features of the 2019 iPhones, readers can visit the launch story. The iPhone 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max will be available for pre-orders in countries like such as the U.S., Canada, Australia, Germany, Italy, U.K, Russia, UAE, Hong Kong, China and Japan on Sept. 13 and the sales of the new iPhones will start on Sept. 20.

More and more smartphone companies are trying to come with innovative displays. While Huawei and Samsung have announced their own version of the foldable smartphones, few other manufacturers are working on their foldable devices.
Among those smartphone markets, one is South Korea-based LG. From the latest information, it seems that LG is working on to release a smartphone with a rollable display, if we go by the company’s new patent.
LG had filed for the patent of this design with Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPRIS) in October last year and was published in June this year. When the display is rolled up, it ends up being the size of a smartphone and can be used to consume content and you can interact with it.
The renders created by LetsGoDigital shows that the bendable screen is so large that it can be rolled twice completely around the housing, so when the screen is fully rolled out, it can be significantly wider than a tablet.
If you need a smaller display, you leave a part of the screen around the housing. You can unroll the display as much as you need. Logically, the user interface is adjusted based on how the screen is used. The flexible screen has four bending points, so you can also bend the display slightly.
When folded, the housing of the phone appears a little bit longer than the screen, making the display more resistant to impact. There are no buttons or connections visible on the smartphone in this render.
Along with LG, Samsung has also filed patent for a rollable display that can be activated by fingerprint. It remains to be seen if the smartphone with rollable display sees a light of day in the near future or its just a concept.
Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy Fold smartphone is now available for purchase in South Korea while the Huawei Mate X foldable smartphone’s launch has been delayed and is now scheduled to go on sale in November.
