Recently, Huawei announced that it will hold the Huawei Developer Conference 2019 in Songshan Lake, Dongguan from August 9th to 11th. Huawei has recently updated the HDC2019 website, and it shows us that EMUI 10 will be launched at the event. This is some pretty big news on Huawei’s front, and we definitely weren’t expecting this. Part of that is because there’s been no news whatsoever regarding EMUI 10, and this is the first we’re hearing of it.
According to new rumors, EMUI 10 will feature a new design philosophy, or at least an updated version of the current design direction. We’ll also allegedly see a lot of improvements when it comes to the camera interface in terms of features, speed and features. It’ll also be based on Android Q, so we’ll get all those optimizations as well.
This is all honestly still quite surprising to us. Huawei haven’t been ones to make sudden announcements like this. It’s a move that makes a lot of sense though, seeing as to how HDC is their own developer conference. It only makes sense to make a big software launch at their own event. It’s already known that the Huawei is gearing up to launch its flagship smartphone series — Huawei Mate 30 in the coming months. Now, a report has surfaced online which sheds light on the upcoming smartphone’s design.
The report coming from the company’s supply chain suggests that the phone will come with a unibody design with no gap for the metal frame so that the phone can be made without any kind of notch or holes. It says that the company believes this kind of design to be the future of the smartphone design.
Earlier this year, another Chinese brand Vivo had introduced a concept phone with such glass unibody design. So, it’s quite possible that Huawei is preparing a smartphone with a glass unibody design.
If there are no holes in the phone, then the issue arises about the SIM card slot on the device. Well, the report says that the company will adopt the eSIM technology instead of the traditional SIM card.
For regular buttons such as power button and the volume rocker keys, it is said that the company will take the pressure-sensitive approach. For charging, the phone will have to be dependent on wireless charging.
However, take this information with a pinch of salt and there’s hardly any evidence pointing towards Mate 30 using the glass unibody design. While such a design for a smartphone is possible for the near future, we don’t expect the Huawei Mate 30 to take such an extreme approach of opting for a no-holes design.
Redmi gave some solid upgrades to its budget lineup this year, with the new Redmi 7A featuring an octa-core processor and better specs as compared to its predecessor. The phone was announced a few days ago in India and went on sale for the first time today. Unsurprisingly, the Redmi 7A was sold out within a few seconds in its first sale.

The rumor mill has been speculating that Samsung will be announcing a flagship tablet soon. According to 91mobiles, the upcoming Galaxy Tab S6 is rumored to debut as the world’s first tablet featuring an in-display fingerprint reader. Also, it will be the first tablet ever to feature the Snapdragon 855. The leaked images of the tablet show that it will be arriving with a dual camera setup on its rear. It will include a primary sensor of 13-megapixel and a secondary ultrawide lens of 5-megapixel. For capturing selfies, it will be featuring an 8-megapixel front camera.
The leak has no information on the amount of RAM that will be present on the device. The device will release in 128 GB and 256 GB storage editions, claims the publication. The predecessor model featured 6 GB of RAM. Hence, the Tab S6 could be in 6 GB RAM version and there could be an 8 GB RAM edition too. The exact size of the tablet’s battery is not known, but what’s known is that it can last for up to 15 hours by charging once.
The display size of the Galaxy Tab S6 was not revealed in this leak. However, it goes without saying that it will come with Super AMOLED display that could be surrounded by slim bezels. Quad speakers tuned by AKG will be also available on the Galaxy Tab S6.

Apple’s patent reveals that it can use a camera or an image sensor to capture the image in the person field of view. For example, if a user has weakened vision, the device can enlarge the image in his or her field of view to give a better view of the real world. Further, the patent mentions eye-tracking which will ensure that the warping technology remains relevant even when the user looks around.
In the patent, Apple has used a device like a smartphone to show how this technology works. However, it can also be applied to other devices like smart glasses which the Cupertino giant is said to be working on. On Aug. 7, Samsung will be holding its Galaxy Unpacked 2019 event to announce the Galaxy Note 10 series of smartphones. The official renders of the Galaxy Note 10 had appeared on Winfuture.de yesterday. Now, the renders of the Note 10+ have also surfaced to reveal its design.
In terms of appearance, the Galaxy Note 10+ is identical to the Note 10 phone. However, the Plus edition of the smartphone is expected to carry better internals than the Note 10. Recent reports have revealed that the Note 10+ will be featuring a 6.75-inch S-AMOLED display whereas the Note 10 will be housing a 6.3-inch display.
The Note 10+ leaked renders show that it will be available in a Black variant that will tag along a black-colored S Pen. The Silver Prism edition of the phablet will feature a dark-blue colored S Pen. There is a possibility that the Note 10 will be also available in some other colors too. The Silver Prism variant is a color gradient edition that has a mix of colors like white, pink, purple, blue and turquoise.
Like the Galaxy Note 10, the Plus model also features a display with a top-center positioned punch-hole for the selfie camera. The display of the Note 10+ is surrounded by super-slim bezels and a slightly thick chin. The handset will feature an in-display fingerprint scanner since it is absent from the back panel. The Note 10 series is expected to feature ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor like the Galaxy S10 series of smartphones.
The rear side of the Galaxy Note 10+ has four cameras. Three of them arrangement in a vertical module and alongside it is an LED flash, a gradient colorway and a 3D ToF sensor. The smartphone lacks a dedicated button for accessing Bixby AI assistant. While reports have claimed that the Note 10 series will lack a 3.5mm audio jack, the renders do not reveal whether it is present or absent.
