iQOO just dropped a new mid-range phone that’s all about one thing: lasting forever. The Z11S is the company’s first phone with a massive 10,000mAh battery. The company worked with CATL on this high-energy-density battery pack. It uses second-generation semi-solid tech and something they call “Magic Cube Packaging 2.0” to squeeze in all that capacity.
The phone is 8.59mm thick and weighs 225 grams. It’s only 11 grams heavier than the Galaxy S26 Ultra, even though it packs exactly double the battery capacity. Charging is 44W wired. It’s not the fastest out there, and topping up that huge battery will take a while. But once it’s full, the phone should last more than two days for most people.
Inside is a MediaTek Dimensity 7500 octa-core chip built on TSMC’s N4P process. It uses ARM’s latest C1 cores. According to iQOO, the Z11S hits around 1.31 million on AnTuTu V11 and offers a 24% jump in single-core performance. They’re also promising five years of smooth use.
The screen is a 6.83-inch AMOLED with 2800 × 1260 resolution, 10-bit color, P3 gamut, up to 2000 nits full-screen brightness, and a smooth 144Hz refresh rate. It covers 94.47% of the front and has full-brightness DC dimming so it’s easier on the eyes. Colors available are Snow White, Dark Rock Black, and Floating Light.
The back of the phone is a bit more interesting than it looks at first. The shiny ring wrapping around that rounded-square camera module is apparently metal, which should give the camera hardware a bit more protection if the phone takes a fall.
The camera system itself is a little disappointing, though. Official product shots clearly show two lenses on the back, one of which houses the infrared remote control sensor. The other is the 50MP rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture. Up front there’s an 8MP camera with autofocus. Still, the official sample photos do leave a pretty good impression of what the main camera can do.
Tecno has finally launched the Pova 8 Pro 5G in India. The smartphone focuses on practical hardware additions, specifically a larger-than-average battery, high water resistance ratings, and a secondary screen on the back panel.

The device uses LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage, and is available in two configurations: a base model with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and a higher-tier version with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
The battery is a 6,500mAh cell, which offers more capacity than the 5,000mAh standard found in most current smartphones. It supports 45W wired charging and 10W wired reverse charging. It also includes bypass charging, a feature that allows the phone to draw power directly from the charging cable during heavy use, bypassing the battery to reduce heat generation.
For cameras, the main shooter uses a 50-megapixel Sony LYTIA 700C sensor with OIS. This is paired with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera on the back and a 13-megapixel camera on the front. Both the front and rear cameras support 4K video recording at 30fps.
The phone ships with Android 16. It includes a few built-in software tools, such as an AI call assistant capable of recording and transcribing both standard cellular calls and WhatsApp calls. The assistant supports English, Hindi, Bengali, and Marathi. It can generate text summaries of conversations, extract action items, and categorize contacts based on the context of the call.
The back of the phone features a triangular camera layout and what Tecno calls the Alive Matrix Display. This is a small dot-matrix screen made of 177 Mini LEDs. It is designed to show basic information like battery status, timers, and caller ID. It can also function as a desk clock when the phone is placed face down on a table.

The Pova 8 Pro 5G comes in Tundra Green, Arc White, and Graphite Black. The 8GB/256GB model costs Rs. 49,999, and the 12GB/512GB version is priced at Rs. 54,999. It goes on sale in India on August 21, 2026, through Flipkart and physical retail stores.

The screen is a 6.83-inch, 2K panel that uses a new light-emitting material from Visionox. It runs at up to 144Hz, and iQOO rates it at 2000 nits of brightness across the full screen, with a peak of 4500 nits in small areas. The panel also uses circular polarization to cut blue light exposure, and touch sampling is claimed at 500Hz.
The rear camera setup is fairly modest for the segment. It has a 50MP main camera with optical stabilization and an 8MP ultra-wide lens. The front camera is 16MP.
Like most Chinese flagships these days, the iQOO Neo 11 Ultra uses a big 9100mAh silicon-carbon battery. For the record, it’s the largest battery iQOO has put in a Neo phone. It supports 100W wired charging. iQOO says it lasts about 13.7 hours of continuous mobile gaming, or 23 hours of video playback.
The phone uses reinforced glass on the front and an aluminum frame, and iQOO says it survived a drop test from 1.2 meters onto marble flooring. It’s rated IP68 and IP69 for water and dust resistance, and includes an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor that iQOO says still works with wet hands. Other additions include a three-antenna WiFi system, a 400Hz gyroscope for vibration feedback in games, and iQOO’s new OriginOS 6 software.

There have been some internal restructuring changes within the Oppo group, which oversees both OnePlus and Realme. As part of the changes, OnePlus will remain active in China and India, while it has already exited the European and US markets. While OnePlus has been releasing multiple phones across different price segments, Realme has largely focused on budget-oriented models in recent months.
The last time the rumour mill revealed details about the Realme 17 Pro+ was back in May. Now, the rumors surrounding the smartphone have resurfaced, with a new leak from tipster Digital Chat Station revealing details about its display and camera setup.
In the latest leak, DCS has shared details about an upcoming smartphone from Realme’s numbered series, and the camera specifications suggest that he could be referring to the Realme 17 Pro+. According to the leak, the phone will feature a 6.78-inch flat OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and an ultra-high refresh rate. While DCS has not specified the exact refresh rate, the panel could support at least 144Hz, similar to the previous generation.
The leak also mentions a triple-camera setup led by a 200-megapixel primary sensor. It will reportedly be paired with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera. If a previous report is to be believed that the periscope camera could use Samsung’s JN5 sensor and offer 3.5x optical zoom, while the primary camera could feature Samsung’s HP5 sensor.
Realme 16 Pro+
Details about the chipset and battery capacity remain unknown for now. For reference, the Realme 16 Pro+ featured a 7,000mAh battery with support for 80W wired charging. The Realme 17 Pro+ could retain a similar capacity or even go higher, especially since some Realme 16-series models are equipped with batteries as large as 8,000mAh. More details about the phone’s remaining specifications are expected to emerge in future leaks.
At present, there is no information about the Realme 17 Pro+’s launch timeframe. The tispter claims that the device will remain exclusive to the overseas market, meaning it won’t be released in China.

Godox has launched the new P100 Portable photo printer in China. It is priced at 699 yuan ($104) and is designed as a compact, easy-to-use device for printing photos directly from a smartphone. The standard package includes the printer and a 10-sheet cartridge of dye-sublimation paper. Godox sells 20-sheet replacement cartridges separately.
The P100 is designed with portability in mind. It weighs around 320 grams and measures 142.5 x 86.8 x 26.8 mm, making it compact enough to carry like a thick power bank. It sports a simple, modern design with rounded edges, allowing it to be comfortably held in one hand or packed into a bag. The printer comes with a USB-C charging port and supports a 5V/2A input, so it can be charged using most standard phone chargers.
Inside, the P100 uses a 1256 print heating head. It prints at a resolution of 300 dpi and supports up to 16.7 million colors. The dye-sublimation process generally offers better color accuracy than Zink, though it requires a specific type of paper and ink ribbon.
Godox handles this by using an all-in-one cartridge system. The photo paper and the ribbon are housed in a single unit. When the printer runs empty, you just open the side compartment and swap the whole cartridge out without needing any extra tools. The physical paper size is 97 x 53 mm, leaving an actual printed image area of 86 x 53 mm.
The printer features an automatic lamination process that serves as the final step of printing. It applies a clear protective film over each photo, helping shield the image from water, dust, and fingerprints. The coating also reduces the effects of everyday friction and humidity, helping keep printed photos in better condition for longer.
You connect to the printer via Bluetooth. If you have an NFC-enabled phone, you can tap it against the printer for quicker pairing. All the actual printing is handled through the Godox Cam app, available on iOS and Android. The app includes standard editing tools like filters, frames, and collage layouts. It also features a built-in ID photo maker, which formats your pictures to standard sizes for passports and visas, complete with options to change the background color.

The Active keeps things basic, with heart rate, SpO2, and step tracking, and no satellite positioning. Both offer up to 18 days of runtime on light use and 12 days of normal use from a 470mAh battery. Both connect over Bluetooth 5.3 and support calls from the watch.

YouTube is about to change one of the platform’s most visible numbers, and it could affect how creators and viewers read the view count. Starting next week, the site will update its public view-counting system across every type of content, with the goal of making things more consistent and clearer for everyone.
From August 24, YouTube will start counting a public view the moment any video begins to play, from the very first frame, with no minimum watch-time requirement. This new rule will apply globally to long-form videos, Shorts, live streams, and everything else. Until now, regular videos generally needed people to watch for about 30 seconds before the public counter went up, while Shorts already counted a view as soon as playback started. That inconsistency made it harder to compare performance across different formats.
YouTube says the update comes from creator feedback asking for a clearer, more unified picture of exposure. By switching everything to the same first-frame rule that Shorts already used (introduced last year), the platform wants to cut down on metric confusion and help creators better show their audience size to brands and sponsors. As a result, public view counts are expected to climb faster than before, especially on videos that only get brief attention.
The change won’t affect advertising revenue or eligibility for the YouTube Partner Program. Turning your regular bike into an e-bike usually means buying a whole new bike. If you’re not willing to spend that much, Asus has a perfect gadget for you. The company recently launched the Oxiis E250G1 Intelligent Bike Booster, a clip-on device that straps to almost any bicycle and gives it up to 50km of electric-assisted range and a top speed of 32 km/h.
The device is made up of a motor and a removable battery, both of which can be mounted on the seat post. The motor sends power to the rear tire through a set of rollers rather than a chain or hub swap.

Google Pixel Watch 5 and Samsung Galaxy Watch8 are premium Wear OS smartwatches designed to combine fitness tracking, health monitoring, navigation, and everyday smart features. Both offer bright AMOLED displays, ECG support, GPS, LTE options, 2GB of RAM, and water resistance. However, they take different approaches.
The Pixel Watch 5 focuses on Google’s software ecosystem, a larger 64GB of storage, advanced positioning, and a broad sensor package. The Galaxy Watch8 counters with a thinner design, sapphire protection, Samsung’s BioActive health sensor, and a more rugged build. The better choice ultimately depends on whether health features, durability, storage, or Google’s ecosystem matters most.
The Pixel Watch 5 has a rounded 45mm body measuring 45 x 45 x 12.3mm, with an aluminum frame and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It weighs between 31g and 36.7g depending on the configuration and carries IP68 water and dust resistance with 5ATM protection. The Galaxy Watch8 has a slightly wider 46 x 43.7mm body but is considerably thinner at 8.6mm. Its sapphire crystal, Armor Aluminum 2 construction, IP68 rating, 5ATM water resistance, and MIL-STD-810H compliance give it a stronger durability focus. The Samsung also weighs 34g in its 44mm version. For everyday comfort and rugged use, the slimmer Samsung design has the advantage.
Both watches offer high-end AMOLED displays capable of reaching 3000 nits peak brightness, making them suitable for outdoor viewing. The Pixel Watch 5 uses a 1.4-inch LTPO AMOLED panel with 456 x 456 resolution and around 320 ppi density. Its LTPO technology can help manage refresh rates efficiently. The Galaxy Watch8 provides a larger 1.47-inch Super AMOLED display with 480 x 480 resolution and around 327 ppi. It also uses sapphire crystal for improved scratch resistance. The Samsung therefore offers slightly more screen area and marginally higher pixel density while matching the Pixel’s peak brightness. The Pixel remains excellent, but the larger panel and stronger protection make Samsung more practical.
The Pixel Watch 5 packs a 465mAh battery in the 45mm model, compared with 435mAh for the Galaxy Watch8 44mm model. Google also provides detailed wired charging figures, with the 45mm Pixel Watch reaching 50% in 15 minutes, 80% in 30 minutes, and full charge in about an hour. The Galaxy Watch8 uses 10W wireless charging. Battery capacity alone does not determine real-world endurance, so the larger Pixel battery should not automatically be interpreted as longer battery life. Still, its larger capacity and faster specified charging make it attractive for users who want quick top-ups. Samsung’s wireless charging is convenient for compatible charging setups.

The Pixel Watch 5 supports GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo, while its positioning system also benefits from L1+L5 support. The Galaxy Watch8 supports GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and BDS, giving it broader satellite-system compatibility. Both therefore provide a strong foundation for outdoor workouts and route tracking. The Pixel also includes UWB support, which expands its positioning-related capabilities beyond conventional GPS. Samsung’s broader satellite compatibility gives it an advantage on paper for global positioning coverage.
Neither watch is positioned simply as a basic step counter. Both provide the sensors required for tracking movement, heart rate, elevation, temperature, and activity-related data. The Pixel Watch 5 combines its accelerometer, gyroscope, heart-rate sensor, altimeter, compass, barometer, SpO2 sensor, skin-temperature sensor, and skin-conductance sensor to provide detailed activity data. The Galaxy Watch8 similarly combines motion, heart-rate, barometric, temperature, and compass sensors with Samsung’s BioActive system. This makes both suitable for running, walking, cycling, gym sessions, and general fitness tracking. Samsung has the edge for users who want deeper health-linked training insights, while Pixel offers a particularly comprehensive sensor setup.

The iQOO Z11S is only a couple of hours away from the big reveal, but the company has already shared quite a lot of details about the phone, with the latest ones being detailed camera samples.
The brand shared a total of four images taken in different lighting conditions to highlight the imaging prowess of the iQOO Z11S. The first one is a portrait. It is a high-resolution image, and upon closer inspection, we can see some improper cutouts in trickier areas, such as the glass the person is holding.
The food items inside are still in focus, but the top of the glass is blurred out. Maybe this is a tricky object for the imaging system, as it can still see the object behind it. Toward the bottom of the frame, part of the dress is also blurred out.
Apart from that, the fibers of the hat are mostly in focus, with an impressive cutout. More importantly, the overall detail and noise control are impressive. Overall, it does not look too noisy or show the kind of artifacts we have come to expect from mid-range devices with less impressive imaging hardware.
Two other images suggest eye-pleasing colors and, again, a lack of any noticeable noise or artifacts in the photos. The one with the cups and other decorative items seems to have been taken at 2x or with a similar digital zoom. It still packs a reasonable amount of detail if you want to crop in. The other one is of a library with red elements, and the colors suggest an eye-pleasing, upload-ready output. The last one, again, features a human subject and looks about what you would expect from a photo shared by the brand.
The phone is launching today alongside the iQOO Neo 11 Ultra in China. Detailed official renders of the device have already revealed two cutouts on the back, each with one lens, one of which is a 50MP main camera. They sit inside a rounded-square camera island on the top left of the device. Overall, the phone comes with the usual flat design with a flat display.

We’ve prepared this list based on the existing update policy. So, if you can spot your device on the list, it’s almost certain to receive the OriginOS 7 update.
It’s important to highlight that Vivo doesn’t have a clear-cut software update policy for many devices, particularly for entry-level and lower mid-range smartphones. It’s difficult to predict if those will receive another major upgrade. So, we decided not to include devices that we weren’t confident about to keep the list as accurate as possible. That said, many of them may still have a chance.
When will the OriginOS 7 update roll out?
Vivo hasn’t yet announced a release date for OriginOS 7, but things appear to be moving more quickly than last year’s OriginOS 6. The company announced the OriginOS 7 beta program in China at least two weeks earlier, and as a result, the beta release also happened earlier.
Last year, the OriginOS 6 global beta program was announced on September 29, while the stable rollout went live in early November. This year, Vivo is acting more quickly, so we’re expecting the global OriginOS 7 beta to be announced in early September or a little earlier.
If Vivo keeps up the pace and everything goes smoothly, October is what we’re looking forward to for the OriginOS 7 global rollout.
What to expect from OriginOS 7?
Details about new features and upgrades in OriginOS 7 are currently scarce. However, some users testing the beta build have reported that the liquid glass effect has been applied across the system with highlights, shadows, refraction & dynamic lighting effects. App opening animations feel more natural, dynamic, and stretched out, making the transition feel much smoother.
The OriginOS 7 beta is said to feature bouncy, springy animations that further enhance the user experience. Furthermore, it adds new themes and more customization options.
Reliable tipster Digital Chat Station claims the overall software experience with OriginOS 7 is better than Xiaomi’s HyperOS 4 and Oppo’s ColorOS 17. It seems the wait is going to be worth it.

The Xiaomi G25i 2026 features a 24.5-inch Fast IPS LCD with a 1920 x 1080 resolution and a 16:9 aspect ratio. The panel supports a 240Hz refresh rate and a 1ms GTG response time, while the 178-degree horizontal and vertical viewing angles are designed to keep the picture consistent when viewed from different positions.
For color reproduction, the monitor covers 100% of the sRGB color space and 93% of DCI-P3. It offers 8-bit color depth and carries DisplayHDR 400 certification, with a typical brightness of 400 nits and a 1000:1 contrast ratio. Xiaomi also includes FreeSync Premium, which helps reduce screen tearing when frame rates fluctuate.

The monitor includes several gaming-focused tools, such as a crosshair overlay, night vision mode, and dark-area enhancement for making details in darker scenes easier to see. It also uses hardware-level low blue light technology certified by TÜV Rheinland. Connectivity includes one DisplayPort 1.4, one HDMI 2.0 port, an audio port, and a DC input. The HDMI port supports up to 1920 x 1080 at 240Hz.
The monitor measures 557 x 173.1 x 445.6mm with its stand and weighs 3.2kg. It supports tilt adjustment from -5 to +15 degrees and VESA 75 x 75mm wall mounting.
The Xiaomi Gaming Monitor G25i 2026 is priced at NT$2,999 in Taiwan, which is roughly $95. Xiaomi has not confirmed availability in other markets at the time of writing, so it remains unclear whether the monitor will launch outside Taiwan.
A new leak is adding weight to earlier reports that the Vivo S2 could be sold internationally under a different name. An image of the Vivo V80 Lite has surfaced on the web, and although blurry, we can tell the phone looks exactly like the Vivo S2.
The paper trail started when the device hit the Google Play Supported Devices List with three model numbers: V2643, V2644, and V2576. The last one is also tied to the Vivo S2, which suggested the two phones could be the same device sold under separate names in different markets. Vivo hasn’t said anything about this officially, though.
Renaming a phone for different regions isn’t new for Vivo. It’s done this with other models in the past, so seeing the S2 resurface abroad under the V-series name wouldn’t be unusual.
The new images make the connection harder to dismiss. The Vivo S2 has a slim frame, curved edges, and a horizontal camera bar with two large round lenses next to a circular flash. The V80 Lite 5G promo materials show the same setup — same camera positioning, same curve on the display, and a matching blue color option.

If the phones do turn out to be the same hardware, the V80 Lite 5G would likely carry what Vivo already confirmed for the S2 at its India launch: a 6.83-inch AMOLED display at 120Hz, a MediaTek Dimensity 7360-Turbo chipset, and a 7,050mAh battery. The camera setup would carry over too — a 50-megapixel Sony main sensor with a secondary lens on the back, plus a 32-megapixel front camera.
None of this is locked in until Vivo makes an announcement, so the naming and specs should still be treated as unconfirmed. We will keep you in the loop for new details.
Several reports have claimed that Vivo is planning to unveil the Vivo X500 series in September in China. Ahead of the launch, the X500 members are gradually bagging key certifications in the home market. After the X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max, the standard model has now been approved by China’s 3C certification platform.

The above screengrab reveals that a forthcoming Vivo phone with model number V2602A has been approved by China’s 3C authority. The listing suggests that the device may support 90W fast charging.
In recent weeks, the Vivo X500 Pro Max‘s Satellite Communication version was spotted with the model number V2602DA. Since the new device carries a similar model number, it could be a variant of the X500 Pro Max without satellite communication support.
The Vivo X500 Pro said to have the model number V2609A. Its 3C certification has also revealed support for 90W fast charging. Interestingly, the global version of this device with model number V2610 has already been approved in Indonesia.

As per a recent report, the standard Vivo X500 will have a different rear design compared to the Pro models. While the Pro models will continue to feature a large, circular camera module positioned at the center on the back, the X500’s camera module could be placed at the upper-left corner.
The Vivo X500 is said to have a 6.59-inch flat OLED panel offering a 1.5K resolution. It is expected to feature a Dimensity 9-series chip, but it could be a 3nm chip instead of the 2nm Dimensity 9600 Pro chip that will power the Pro models.
The X500 is said to pack a battery of around 7,500mAh capacity with 90W wired and 40W wireless charging support. Its rear camera setup is expected to include a 50-megapixel main camera with a 1/1.28-inch sensor size, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 64-megapixel mid-tier periscope telephoto camera. The entire lineup will run on OriginOS 7-based Android 17.

Samsung hasn’t announced the Galaxy S26 FE yet, but you can already watch someone holding one. A user on X posted what he claims is a hands-on video of the phone, and it comes weeks after the device went through FCC certification.
The video shows the phone running Android 17 with One UI 9 layered on top. The camera bump follows the same design language Samsung has used across this year’s lineup — individual lenses sitting inside one oval-shaped island rather than separate cutouts.
What has changed is the chip. The device is powered by Exynos 2500, along with a new sensor for the 12MP ultrawide camera.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy S26 FE has already run Geekbench scoring 2426 and 8004 single- and multi-core points, respectively.
The listing also confirms 8GB of RAM, a 1080 x 2340 resolution, and a screen density of 450 DPI. Samsung is reportedly planning purple, green, and black color options, and 45W wired charging carries over as expected.
