Realme has introduced the Realme 3 smartphone through an unveil event in India. The handset has arrived as a successor for the Realme 2 phone that was unveiled last year. It comes with a color gradient design, a waterdrop-style notch, a powerful processor and a big battery.
Realme 3 Specifications and Features
The Realme 3 features a 6.2-inch Dewdrop display that carries support for HD+ resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels. It offers an aspect ratio of 19:9 and 450nits of brightness. The display is shielded by Gorilla Glass 3. The smartphone boasts a splash-resistant body with a gradient color rear panel. It can be availed in Dynamic Black and Radiant Blue.
The Helio P70 processor drives the smartphone along with 3 GB and 4 GB of RAM. There are two storage variants such as 32 GB and 64 GB. The smartphone includes a 4,230mAh battery. The ColorOS 6.0 based Android 9 Pie OS comes loaded on the device. There is a microSD card slot for additional storage.
The Realme 3 is fitted with a dual camera setup that includes a 13-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The dual cameras offer features like PDAF fast focusing, bokeh effect, multi-frame noise reduction, hybrid HDR, AI scene recognition, AI beauty 2.0 and night scape mode. When it comes to shooting selfies, the Realme 3 feature a 13-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture. Realme 3’s front camera include ability to identify 296 facial recognition points through Realme U1’s SelfiePro algorithm. It also offers features like AI Beauty 2.0 and Smart Groupfie optimization for shooting group selfies.
The back panel of the Realme 3 is equipped with a fingerprint sensor. For convenient unlocking experience, the Realme 3 carries support for AI face unlock.
Realme 3 Price and Release Date
The Realme 3 variants such as 3 GB RAM + 32 GB storage and 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage are respectively priced at Rs. 8,999 (~$127) and Rs. 10,999 ($155). The announced price will be available for first 1 million buyers. The company will be carrying out its first sales from March 12 at 12PM. The handset can be purchased through Flipkart and Realme.com from the said date.

The company also confirmed that it will be announcing the Realme 3 Pro smartphone to take on the Redmi Note 7 Pro in April.
