OnePlus started rolling out OxygenOS 15.0.0.830 for the OnePlus 11R in India. The update version is CPH2487_15.0.0.830(EX01) and comes out in batches to users.

What’s New

The biggest change is remote control support for Windows PCs. You can now control your computer and access files using your OnePlus 11R phone.

The update also fixes cellular network connections with a better algorithm. OnePlus added a “Speaker cleaner” feature that uses audio pulses to remove dust from your phone’s speakers. You can find this in Phone Manager under “Tools – More – Accessibility & convenience.”

There’s a new Drag & Drop feature for images and text in third-party apps. Turn it on in Settings under “Accessibility & convenience – Drag & drop.”

System Changes

The phone now supports fuzzy search with spaces. You can search for app names directly in Settings to find app details faster. Floating windows work better now, and the animations when you close Quick Settings and notifications are smoother.

You can open apps from quick functions even when your screen is locked. When you have stacked notifications, the newest one shows how many others are hidden and where they came from.

Search results in Settings are now organized better. The update includes the June 2025 Android security patch.

How to Get It

The update rolls out slowly, starting with some users before reaching everyone in the coming days. If you’re in India and find bugs, report them through the OnePlus Community app or dial *#800# on your phone.

However, it still leaves the device vulnerable to dust—an important consideration for phones with complex hinge mechanisms.

According to leaker @PandaFlashPro on X, the Galaxy Z Fold7 won’t improve on this rating. That’s a letdown for some, as earlier rumors hinted that Samsung might finally bring full dust resistance to the Z Fold series. The Z Fold7 is expected to be unveiled at Samsung’s next Galaxy Unpacked event on July 9, and this detail could be a sticking point for fans concerned about long-term durability.

Competitors may take advantage of that gap. Google, for example, is rumored to be targeting an IP68 rating for its next foldable, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, due out later this year. If true, it would give Google a significant edge in ruggedness—especially for users who want peace of mind on dusty or sandy terrain.

Despite the durability setback, the Z Fold7 is still expected to bring meaningful upgrades. It’s almost confirmed to feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite, up to 16GB of RAM, a slimmed-down 8.2mm folded profile, and a new 200MP camera. Samsung is also likely to highlight its titanium-aluminum build and updated Gorilla Armor 2 protection (on the cover display) to reinforce its commitment to sturdiness, even if full dust resistance is still out of reach.

Xiaomi’s camera app gets major redesign and it’s coming to a lot of phones

Xiaomi is giving its long-criticized camera app a full-scale overhaul. For years, the app has been considered one of the weakest parts of Xiaomi’s otherwise solid mobile photography system. Despite strong sensors and advanced image processing, users often complained about a cluttered layout, inconsistent controls, and a fragmented user experience.

Bao, Xiaomi’s camera product manager, confirmed the revamp is based on extensive user feedback. The redesigned app addresses layout inconsistencies, confusing feature placement, and poor mode transitions. It introduces a cleaner interface, better visual alignment across modes, and reduced viewfinder clutter.

Xiaomi has also redesigned the Pro Mode. It now balances ease of use with manual control. Key tools like ISO, shutter speed, and EV adjustments are presented more intuitively. The update introduces real-time monitoring and multi-camera support for video shooters.

New features include a quick focal length toggle between 28mm and 35mm at 1x, improved EV control, and unified focal length indicators across all modes. Pro Mode now supports custom photographic styles, while the EV slider is easier to access without diving into settings.

Visually, Xiaomi has updated over 140 icons and reworked more than 600 UI elements. The app includes a new startup animation, refreshed shutter sounds, and an improved settings panel. The update also offers 40 new camera theme colors and redesigned watermark options.

The rollout will take place in three phases. The first batch, already underway, includes the Xiaomi 15 and 14 series, Mix Fold 4, Mix Flip, and the Redmi K80 and K70 series. The second wave, arriving by June 20, will cover the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, Civi 4 Pro, and mid-range devices like the Redmi Turbo 4. By July, the update will reach older models such as the Xiaomi 12S Ultra and Redmi Note 13 series.

Android 16 might let you sync notifications and apps across devices from different brands

Samsung’s Galaxy lineup might soon get a major connectivity boost, thanks to a new feature Google is quietly working on. The feature, called Handoff, is expected to sync notifications, apps, and media across Android devices—bringing the Galaxy ecosystem one step closer to the kind of seamless integration Apple users enjoy.

Spotted by Android Authority, Handoff appears to be part of Google Play Services and was uncovered through an internal tool called App Cast. Unlike Samsung’s current “Continue on other devices” feature, which is limited to Galaxy phones, tablets, and laptops using the same Samsung account, Handoff is tied to your Google account. This means it could potentially work across different Android brands—not just Samsung, but also phones from OnePlus, Vivo, and others.

For Galaxy users, this opens the door to syncing more than just Wi-Fi and clipboard data. With Handoff, you might soon be able to view notifications from one phone on another or seamlessly move an active video between devices.

The feature could especially benefit Samsung’s broader device ecosystem, which includes smartwatches, tablets, and smart TVs. If Google rolls it out widely, Handoff might offer a smoother way to pick up apps or media on a different screen, similar to Apple’s Handoff and Continuity features—only with support across multiple brands, not just one.

Google Photos has released new updates to improve how users edit both HDR and SDR images.

HDR photos will now keep their full dynamic range and important HDR metadata even after using editing tools like Photo Unblur, Magic Eraser, and Portrait Light. This means edited HDR images will keep their original contrast, brightness, and detail when viewed on HDR-capable screens.

A new “Ultra HDR” tool has also been added. It lets users adjust the brightness of their photos more precisely. This helps users get the exact look they want. Along with this change, the old “HDR” tool has been renamed to “Tone” to better describe its role in adjusting light and contrast.

Another part of the update is the ability to enhance SDR photos to HDR. This boosts brightness, contrast, and clarity, making older or standard images look sharper and more vibrant on modern displays that support HDR.

Google hasn’t confirmed if the rollout is tied to an app update or a server-side change, but the features are gradually appearing for Google Photos users with HDR-capable screens.

DJI launches FlyCart 100 flagship cargo drone with 80kg payload & advanced safety systems

DJI has announced the launch of the FlyCart 100 in the Chinese market, a new heavy-lift flagship cargo drone built for industrial and mission-critical logistics. The FC100 is designed to carry payloads up to 80 kilograms and operate in high-altitude, high-risk environments far beyond traditional consumer drone use.

The FC100 supports a maximum takeoff weight of 149.9kg and can fly up to 6 kilometers on a single battery when fully loaded. In dual-battery mode, it carries up to 65kg and reaches up to 12 kilometers. When flown without a payload, it can travel as far as 26 kilometers.

To meet the demands of heavy-lift operations, DJI has built the drone with 62-inch carbon fiber propellers, 420A ESCs, and a coaxial dual-rotor system that optimizes thrust efficiency. The drone is rated IP55, enabling operation in dust, light rain, and wind speeds up to 12 meters per second. It can fly in temperatures ranging from -20°C to 40°C and reach altitudes up to 6000 meters.

The DJI FC100 uses the DB2160 battery, which has a 41Ah capacity and supports thermal hot-swapping. It enables ultra-fast charging, reaching full capacity in just nine minutes when paired with DJI’s optional 12,000W wall charger or 15,000W car charger. For remote operations, DJI also provides a high-power inverter system for efficient field charging.

The FC100 features an advanced aerial suspension system for stable cargo delivery. It supports automatic load balancing, real-time weight detection, and a motorized cargo hook for secure latching and quick release. It works with both single and dual-battery winch configurations.

The drone features a built-in parachute system capable of deploying even at full payload, reducing descent speed to 6 meters per second in emergencies. For navigation and obstacle avoidance, it uses a high-precision LiDAR system that captures 300,000 points per second, a millimeter-wave radar designed for low-visibility environments, and a five-direction fisheye vision array to enhance situational awareness during flight.

DJI pairs the FC100 with the new RC Plus 2 controller. The unit features a 7-inch 1400-nit display, IP54 protection, and supports dual-operator mode using DJI’s O4 transmission protocol. It also integrates with DJI’s Delivery Cloud software for mission planning, AR waypoint support, and fleet coordination.

Pricing and Availability

The FC100 comes in four configurations. The standard version with a regular charger is priced at 89,999 yuan (approximately $12,500), while the same variant with a high-power charging station costs 92,999 yuan (around $12,950).

The flagship configuration starts at 116,999 yuan (about $16,300) with a standard charger, and the top-end bundle with the charging station is priced at 119,999 yuan (roughly $16,700).

Motorola is expected to launch the Moto G96 5G in India on July 9, 2025, at 12 PM. The information comes from a leaked teaser poster shared by tipster @stufflistings. The G96 5G will likely be the direct follow-up to the Moto G85 and appears to be specific to the Indian market, as the Moto G86 has already launched globally.

The leak points to some major upgrades. The phone is expected to come with a 144Hz curved P-OLED display with 10-bit FHD+ resolution, 1600 nits peak brightness, and support for 100% DCI-P3 color gamut. It will have Gorilla Glass 5 protection and use Display Color Boost technology for better visuals. The device is also said to have an IP68 rating, making it dust and water-resistant.

The Flipkart listing shows that the Moto G96 5G will come in four colors: Green, Blue, Purple, and Red. However, the leaked poster does not show the Purple variant.

The Galaxy M36 5G went official on June 27, 2025, as an Amazon-exclusive device priced at ₹16,999 (with offers) for the 6GB + 128GB variant. On paper, it offers a solid mix of specs: a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate, Exynos 1380 chipset, 50MP OIS main camera, and a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging. It ships with One UI 7 based on Android 15, and Samsung promises six years of software support.

However, it was the promotional video uploaded on June 30 that stirred controversy. Viewers quickly pointed out a few key downgrades compared to the Galaxy M35 — including the return of the older Infinity-U notch design instead of a more modern punch-hole, a smaller battery (5,000mAh vs 6,000mAh), and the lack of stereo speakers.

The feedback was swift and overwhelmingly negative. YouTube users criticized the design shift, with some calling the notch “outdated” and questioning the overall value of the device. Others expressed disappointment that the Exynos 1380 — the same chip used in the M35 — was reused without meaningful performance improvements.

At one point, Samsung India disabled comments on the teaser, likely in response to the wave of criticism. While the section has since been reopened, fresh complaints continue to roll in. The comment section now questions whether the M36 justifies its price given the limited upgrades.

Samsung is highlighting other aspects of the phone, such as its slim 7.7mm profile (vs 9.1mm M35), Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection, and Galaxy AI features like Circle to Search.

Whether its sleek design and software support can outweigh the criticisms remains to be seen.

The Find X8 Ultra supports 4K video at up to 120 frames per second and offers Dolby Vision HDR. In standard 4K 30fps HDR mode, the video looks smooth and well-exposed. Autofocus reacts quickly to moving subjects. Colors look real, and video noise is low even in dim conditions.

Macro Mode for Close-Ups

For close-up shots, the phone uses its ultra-wide lens by default and also supports macro shooting with its telephoto lens. In both cases, the results are sharp with accurate color and exposure.

Bluetooth flaw turns several earbuds or headphones into spy tools — see list of affected devices

A new report from a German cybersecurity firm has uncovered serious security flaws in popular Bluetooth earbuds and headphones, potentially turning everyday audio devices into tools for eavesdropping.

At the TROOPERS 2025 conference, researchers from ERNW detailed vulnerabilities in Airoha Bluetooth chips — components found in many TWS earbuds and over-ear headphones from big brands like Sony, JBL, Bose. These flaws, listed as CVE-2025-20700, CVE-2025-20701, and CVE-2025-20702, carry high severity scores (8.8 and 9.6 on the CVSS scale) and allow hackers within Bluetooth range — roughly 10 meters — to access a device’s memory without needing to pair or authenticate.

According to technical details shared by ERNW on Insinuator.net, the issue stems from how Airoha’s proprietary protocol works across both Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and Classic (BR/EDR) modes. With the right tools, an attacker could hijack a connection, steal link keys, impersonate a headset, or even take control of a connected smartphone. In one demo, researchers showed that it was possible to trigger redials or access call logs on an Android phone — and even activate the microphone, raising concerns over possible surveillance.

Devices reportedly affected include Sony’s WH-1000XM6, JBL Live Buds 3, Bose QuietComfort Earbuds, and the Jabra Elite 8 Active, among others.

Airoha issued a patched software development kit (SDK) on June 4, but as of June 30, no firmware updates have been rolled out by major brands. That’s partly due to a complex supply chain.

Vivo X200 FE Launched Globally with Dimensity 9300+, 90W Fast Charging & ZEISS Cameras

Vivo has launched the X200 FE in global markets, starting with Malaysia. This is the international version of the Vivo S30 Pro mini that was earlier released in China. The global model includes ZEISS optics, which were not available in the Chinese variant.

Vivo X200 FE features

The phone features a 6.31-inch 1.5K LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 4320Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, and up to 5000 nits peak brightness. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chipset along with the Immortalis-G720 GPU. The device offers 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

The rear camera setup includes a 50MP main camera with a Sony IMX921 sensor, optical image stabilization, an 8MP ultra-wide camera with a 106-degree field of view, and a 50MP IMX882 periscope telephoto lens with 3x zoom. The front camera is a 50MP autofocus sensor. ZEISS optics and Aura Light are part of the global package.

It runs Android 15 with Funtouch OS 15. The phone supports dual nano SIM, 5G SA and NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 7 on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS with L1 and L5 bands, USB Type-C, and NFC. Audio features include stereo speakers, USB-C audio output, and Hi-Res audio.

It packs a 6500mAh battery with 90W fast charging support. The phone has an in-display optical fingerprint sensor and comes with IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. It has a metal frame, measures 150.83 x 71.76 x 7.99mm, and weighs 186 grams.

Galaxy A55 already spotted running Android 16 in early benchmark test

Samsung’s mid-range Galaxy A55 is already in line for its next big software update, if a recent Geekbench listing is anything to go by. The listing shows the device running Android 16, suggesting that Samsung has started testing One UI 8 on more than just its flagship S25 series.

The benchmark result, shared by @Alfaturk16 on X and reported by SamMobile, shows the Galaxy A55 (model number SM-A556E) with Android 16 onboard. This is an early sign that One UI 8 development has extended beyond the Galaxy S25 lineup, which currently has exclusive access to the beta version.

While it’s unlikely this means a public beta is coming soon for the A55, it does point to internal testing already being underway. The Geekbench scores — 1,150 for single-core and 3,417 for multi-core — are in line with what we’ve seen from the A55’s Exynos 1480 on Android 15 and One UI 7.

Originally launched in March 2024, the Galaxy A55 features a 6.6-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, a 5,000mAh battery, and a focus on premium design at a mid-range price. The fact that it’s already being tested with Android 16 suggests Samsung is staying on track with its update roadmap. While the stable release will likely roll out first to flagships like the S25 and the A56, the A55 is expected to get the update sometime later in 2025 — possibly by the end of the year.

One UI 8 is expected to bring subtle but useful upgrades like adaptive lock screen clocks, system-wide live captions, and further Galaxy AI features that aim to improve daily usability.

The A55’s early Android 16 appearance is a good sign for users hoping for timely software support. While the wait for the final build may stretch into late 2025, it looks like Samsung is already laying the groundwork.

Nothing Headphone (1) full specs leak, features 40mm driver, 1040mAh battery

Nothing’s first pair of over-ear headphones, fittingly called the Nothing Headphones (1), now has a full spec sheet, thanks to a report from Android Headlines. The company had already confirmed last month that its debut over-ears were coming sometime this summer. Now, ahead of the official announcement on July 1, we have more details about it.

Nothing Headphone (1) Specifications

Physically, the headphones are on the larger side. The headset itself measures 173.85 x 78 x 189.25 mm and weighs 329g, while the unusually large carrying case comes in at 220 x 220 x 52 mm and weighs 264g.

The sound setup centers around 40mm dynamic drivers with a 16-ohm impedance and a PU diaphragm with a nickel coating. The audio is “sound by KEF,” a UK-based high-end audio brand known for its loudspeakers.

The collaboration implies some level of tuning or partnership, though how deep it goes remains to be seen. The audio device will also have adaptive bass enhancement, spatial audio, and 8-band custom EQ settings.

For wireless audio, the headphones support AAC, SBC, and LDAC, covering both standard and high-resolution audio codecs. Active noise cancellation (ANC) tops out at 42dB and supports a 2,000Hz frequency range, along with a transparency mode.

There are three forms of physical control: a roll mechanism, a paddle, and a button. Connectivity is via Bluetooth 5.3 and supported by the Nothing X companion app on Android and iOS.

As for the battery, the Headphones (1) have a 1,040mAh battery that offers up to 80 hours of playback with ANC off (using AAC), dropping to 35 hours with ANC on. LDAC cuts that down to 54 and 30 hours, respectively. Nothing claims a 5-minute charge provides up to 5 hours of playback (ANC off), or 2.4 hours (ANC on).

Feature that round out the package includes Google Fast Pair, Microsoft Swift Pair, dual device connection, a personal sound profile, on-head detection, Find My Device support, a low lag mode for gaming or video, and a charging status LED.
