Airtel partners with SpaceX to bring Starlink’s satellite internet to India

India’s internet landscape is on the cusp of a significant transformation as Airtel and SpaceX forge a new alliance to introduce Starlink’s satellite internet services to one of the world’s most populous nations. This landmark agreement, announced today, is a major step toward bridging India’s digital divide, particularly in underserved and rural regions.

Airtel partners with SpaceX

A Groundbreaking Partnership for Connectivity

The deal, however, hinges on SpaceX securing regulatory approval to operate Starlink commercially in India. Once cleared, this partnership will leverage Airtel’s extensive market reach and Starlink’s cutting-edge low-earth orbit (LEO) satellite technology to provide seamless broadband access across the country. It’s a move that could redefine how India’s remote villages, businesses, and essential services like schools and healthcare centers connect to the digital world.

The collaboration envisions Airtel selling Starlink hardware through its retail outlets while also making enterprise-grade satellite connectivity available to business clients. The implications are far-reaching, imagine a scenario where businesses in remote Himalayan towns or deep within the Thar Desert can finally access stable, high-speed internet without relying on patchy terrestrial networks.

This move isn’t Airtel’s first foray into satellite internet. The telecom giant already has an established partnership with Eutelsat OneWeb, another LEO satellite provider. But adding Starlink into the mix supercharges its ambition to dominate the satellite broadband space, offering customers unprecedented coverage and redundancy. With a combination of fiber, terrestrial mobile networks, and now multiple satellite internet providers, Airtel is positioning itself as the most versatile connectivity provider in India.

For SpaceX, cracking the Indian market is a long-awaited breakthrough. India’s sheer geographical and infrastructural challenges make it the perfect proving ground for Starlink’s satellite-powered broadband. With Airtel’s deep understanding of local telecom regulations, consumer behaviors, and distribution channels, SpaceX gets a crucial foothold in a country where connectivity gaps still persist.

If the partnership overcomes regulatory hurdles, Starlink could become a game-changer in India’s telecom space, delivering high-speed internet to areas where traditional broadband has failed.

Oppo Find N5 vs OnePlus Open: Which foldable is better?

Foldable smartphones are evolving rapidly, and the Oppo Find N5 and OnePlus Open represent two of the most exciting options in this space. Both offer cutting-edge technology, but they take different approaches in design, performance, and features.

With Oppo’s reputation for innovation and OnePlus’s focus on optimization, choosing between them can be challenging. This comparison breaks down key differences to help users decide which foldable best suits their needs, whether it’s for power, photography, or overall usability.

1. Design and Display

OnePlus Open
OnePlus Open

The Oppo Find N5 and OnePlus Open both feature premium foldable designs, but the Find N5 is slightly larger when unfolded, offering an 8.12-inch LTPO OLED display compared to the OnePlus Open’s 7.82-inch panel. While both support 120Hz refresh rates, Dolby Vision, and HDR10+, the Find N5 edges out with a brighter peak brightness of 2450 nits on the cover display compared to the Open’s 2800 nits. However, OnePlus Open’s Ceramic Guard protection adds durability, while Oppo’s Nanocrystal Glass promises improved resistance to scratches. Another advantage for the Find N5 is stylus support, making it a better productivity device.

If a larger inner screen and stylus functionality are a priority, the Oppo Find N5 is the better pick, while the OnePlus Open offers a more compact and refined form factor.

Please Note: When you buy something using the links in our articles, we may earn a small commission at no cost to you.

2. Specifications

OPPO Find N5
OPPO Find N5

The Oppo Find N5 takes the lead in performance with its Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, which outperforms the OnePlus Open’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in raw power and efficiency. Both phones offer UFS 4.0 storage, but the Find N5 provides an additional 256GB/12GB RAM option.

Battery life is another win for Oppo, with a 5600mAh capacity compared to OnePlus’s 4805mAh. Charging speeds are also superior, with 80W wired and 50W wireless charging on the Find N5, versus the OnePlus Open’s 67W wired with no wireless charging. The inclusion of satellite connectivity in the 1TB model of the Find N5 adds another layer of uniqueness.

For power users, the Find N5 is a more future-proof and long-lasting option.

3. Camera

OnePlus Open
OnePlus Open

Both devices carry Hasselblad-tuned cameras, but the OnePlus Open stands out with its superior sensors. It boasts a 64MP periscope telephoto camera with a 3x zoom, offering better detail than Oppo’s 50MP periscope lens. Additionally, its ultrawide camera is a 48MP shooter compared to Oppo’s 8MP, giving OnePlus the upper hand in versatility. The OnePlus Open also has a higher-resolution 20MP inner selfie camera and a 32MP cover selfie camera, compared to the Find N5’s 8MP sensors.

If camera quality is a priority, OnePlus Open is the clear winner, with better zoom, ultrawide capabilities, and superior front cameras.

4. Pricing

The Oppo Find N5 is priced at around €1200, making it pricier than the OnePlus Open, which starts at around €1100 or lower in certain regions. While the OnePlus Open offers a more affordable entry point, the Find N5 justifies its price with a better chipset, larger battery, and additional features like stylus support and satellite connectivity.

If budget is a concern, the OnePlus Open offers fantastic value, but for those seeking top-tier specifications, the Oppo Find N5 is worth the extra cost.

5. Conclusion

OPPO Find N5
OPPO Find N5

The Oppo Find N5 stands out with its Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, larger battery, faster charging, stylus support, and optional satellite connectivity, making it more feature-rich overall.

Meanwhile, the OnePlus Open shines in the camera department, offering superior zoom, ultrawide, and selfie cameras, as well as a more compact form factor with a durable Ceramic Guard build.

Ultimately, if photography is a priority, the OnePlus Open is the better choice, while the Oppo Find N5 is a more powerful and versatile device overall.

These new Asus monitors don’t just display content, they purify the air too

Asus has just dropped a lineup of monitors that do more than just display content, they clean the air around you. The new VU Air Ionizer series is designed to filter out allergens, pollen, and airborne dust, making your workspace a little fresher while you power through emails or binge-watch your favorite series.

Asus VU Air Ionizer Monitors

More Than Just a Display

At first glance, the VU Air Ionizer monitors seem fairly standard, with three models covering different needs. The 23.8-inch VU249HFI-W and 27-inch VU279HFI-W feature Full HD IPS panels with a smooth 100Hz refresh rate and 1ms MPRT, while the top-tier 34-inch VU34WCIP-W boasts an ultrawide 4K resolution with a 1500R curve for a more immersive experience. Asus has also thrown in SmoothMotion technology to keep fast-moving visuals crisp and free from ghosting.

The real twist? Each model is fitted with a built-in air ionizer that, according to Asus, can remove up to 90% of airborne dust in just three hours. Using nano-ion technology, the system purifies a 1m³ area, directly targeting the air in front of the user. Unlike standalone air purifiers, this one requires no filters, so there’s nothing extra to maintain, just cleaner air as you work.

Asus VU Air Ionizer Monitors

As expected, Asus has baked in its Eye Care Plus tech, featuring TÜV Rheinland-certified Low Blue Light and Flicker-Free technologies to keep your eyes comfortable during long sessions. There’s also a Color Augmentation mode for users with color vision deficiencies and a built-in Rest Reminder to encourage breaks.

In a push for sustainability, Asus has designed the packaging to be more than just recyclable. The boxes can be repurposed into desk organizers, phone stands, and even laptop risers. These small but thoughtful touches promote an ergonomic setup while reducing waste.

Asus is betting big on the idea that productivity gadgets should do more than just function. They should enhance your entire work environment. The VU Air Ionizer series isn’t just about display quality, it’s about making everyday computing a little healthier.

In related news, Asus recently introduced the 26.5-inch ROG XG27UCDMG gaming monitor in China, featuring a 4K QD-OLED panel with a 240Hz refresh rate.

Here’s Every Samsung Phone That Faced Green Line Issues

Over the years, Samsung has been known for producing some of the best smartphone displays in the industry, employing high quality AMOLED panels. However, a recurring issue that plagues these displays that has frustrated many users is the infamous “green line” screen defect.

These are visible lines that appear on the display, even if the smartphone didn’t suffer from any damage. Reports have suggested that this issue is linked to OLED panel degradation, software glitches, or manufacturing defects. So now, here’s a list of known Samsung Galaxy phones that faced green line problems.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Series

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra

Just earlier this week, we covered a report where Galaxy S23 series users like the Galaxy S23 Ultra and base Galaxy S23 were complaining about their flagship devices suffering from the green line issues. Images were also shared on X (formerly Twitter) that showed these annoying lines appearing immediately after a software update.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Series

Owing to older flagship smartphones like the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S22 facing green line issues, Samsung began offering free display replacements for these models. The issue affects the high-end Samsung phones since these feature Super AMOLED panels. This was a one time free screen replacement.

Samsung Galaxy S21 FE

Samsung Galaxy S21 FE

While this model is a part of the Galaxy S21 series, it deserves special mention since one of my colleagues directly faced this issue on the Galaxy S21 FE. He even outlined his entire service center experience when he got his device repaired as well.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4

The issue isn’t restricted to just the Galaxy S series and also affects the ultra premium Galaxy Z lineup of foldable devices as well. One of the more recent models to suffer from green lines is the Galaxy Z Flip 4. But affected users were quite disappointed considering the expensive price tag they paid for their smartphones. The problem surfaced on models which were only 5 months old as well and were still in warranty. However, Samsung had claimed that the screen wasn’t covered in their warranty.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20

Samsung Galaxy S20, Note 20

Lastly, we have the five year old Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy S20 lineup of devices. Samsung has been inconsistent in handling the problem since it offered a free screen replacement for the out of warranty Galaxy Note 20 Ultra but not the Z Flip 4 model. Apart from these, even the Galaxy A71 was spotted with white line issues in the past.

Vivo X200 Ultra & X200 Pro Mini heading to the Indian market: Report

Vivo is one of the leading smartphone brands in the Indian market and recent rumors have revealed that the company aims on expanding its X200 series of flagship devices. A fresh report has revealed that two new models are heading to India, which could include the Vivo X200 Ultra and Vivo X200 Pro Mini. So here’s what we know.

Vivo X200 Ultra & X200 Pro Mini India launch near

The latest news arrives from a BusinessWorld report. Sources close to the matter have claimed that the Chinese tech giant is planning on releasing the next top model the Vivo X200 Ultra and the compact X200 Pro Mini in India owing to the popularity of the Vivo X200 and X200 Pro in the region. The Vivo X200 Pro in particular was apparently completely sold out in India, prompting the brand to request additional units from its manufacturing facilities.

Vivo X200 Pro Mini
Vivo X200 Pro Mini

This robust demand is driving the brand’s plans to release the top end Vivo X200 Ultra in the region. To recall, Vivo had previously skipped the launch of the Vivo X100 Ultra back in 2024. The upcoming X200 Ultra is expected to be another photography flagship that offers various improvements over the X100 Ultra while also shifting from MediaTek to Qualcomm with the Snapdragon 8 Elite.

If Vivo actually does launch the X200 Ultra, it will likely compete against the likes of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, which was just unveiled in the Indian market as well. Unfortunately, the report did not reveal a lot of details regarding the X200 Pro Mini or its release timeline. However, the X200 Pro Mini was spotted in another leak recently, which hinted at an April 2025 launch window.

Apple to revamp iOS, iPadOS and macOS with a Vision Pro-inspired design

Apple is reportedly preparing a significant software overhaul, aiming to unify its ecosystem and refresh the user experience across iPhones, iPads, and Macs. This ambitious project, slated for release later this year, will introduce a revamped interface with redesigned icons, menus, apps, windows, and system buttons, drawing inspiration from the Vision Pro’s innovative visionOS.

Apple VisionOS

Major Redesign Rumored to Reshape Apple Ecosystem

According to sources, this redesign, code-named “Luck” for iOS 19 and iPadOS 19, and “Cheer” for macOS 16, will be Apple’s most substantial interface update in years. It seeks to create a more consistent visual language across all platforms, addressing the current discrepancies that can make transitioning between devices jarring.

While the design will incorporate elements from visionOS, such as simplified windows and translucent panels, Apple emphasizes it will not merge its operating systems. Instead, the focus is on achieving visual harmony and simplifying navigation while maintaining the distinct advantages of each platform.

This overhaul comes at a crucial time for Apple, as the company seeks to revitalize sales following a period of slower growth. The new interface is expected to be a key highlight at the upcoming Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June, potentially overshadowing the recent delay of AI-powered Siri enhancements.

The changes are driven by a desire to provide a more intuitive and seamless user experience, addressing the evolving needs of a new generation of users. Apple’s design team, under Alan Dye, is working diligently to ensure the redesign strikes a balance between innovation and familiarity, recognizing the high stakes involved in altering the core interface of its widely used devices.

Meanwhile, Apple also introduced its latest lineup of MacBook Air and iPad Air models last week, featuring improved performance and AI-driven capabilities aimed at enhancing productivity and user experience.

Apple’s foldable iPad Pro reportedly has under-display Face ID

Apple is reportedly working on a foldable iPad Pro, and the current prototype includes an under-display Face ID. The leak came from Weibo-based leaker Digital Chat Station.

According to the leaker, the prototype packs an 18.8-inch foldable screen and a “metal superstructure lens” that integrates Face ID components beneath the display, which enables seamless facial recognition without visible sensors.

An 18.8″ display paired with under-display Face ID

Apple has been mocked for its switch from a notch only to a pill-shaped cutout on the screen, which is necessary for all the Face ID sensors. With this under-display tech, the foldable iPad (or possibly future iPhone as well) is expected to offer a more immersive visual experience. This development also marks the first time under-display Face ID has been linked to Apple’s foldable devices.

Analyst firm DSCC (Via MacRumors) predicts that Apple will launch an 18.8-inch foldable iPad Pro with an OLED display in 2027. Meanwhile, supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo suggests that LG will begin mass-producing display panels for a foldable MacBook with a 20.2-inch or 18.8-inch screen in late 2025. These reports highlight Apple’s ambitions to redefine portable computing with the adoption of larger, foldable devices.

The Wall Street Journal has also reported that Apple is working on a foldable device intended to function as a laptop, which will unfold to a 19-inch screen. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman adds that Apple is developing a “giant” foldable iPad with a focus on eliminating the crease, which is a problem Android smartphone makers are yet to figure out how to solve.

In addition to the foldable iPad, Apple is said to be working on a book-style foldable iPhone, expected to launch late next year. Due to space constraints, this device will reportedly replace Face ID with Touch ID integrated into a side button, similar to recent iPad models.
