Both 1″ main and 1/1.31″ periscope telephoto of Huawei Pura 80 Ultra to use RYYB configuration, claims DCS

Huawei is paying significant attention to the imaging capabilities of the upcoming Pura 80 Ultra. The Chinese smartphone maker has previously experimented with RYYB configuration for the image sensors, and the Pura 80 Ultra will reportedly be a part of that.

HUAWEI-Pura-70-Ultra-Retractable-Camera
Huawei Pura 70 Ultra

The news comes from reliable Weibo tipster Digital Chat Station, who previously revealed some information about the prototype of the Pura 80 Ultra. Huawei was reportedly testing it with a 50MP, 1-inch main sensor with variable aperture, and a 1/1.31″ periscope telephoto that has an RYYB configuration. Now the tipster reiterates on that leak saying the main sensor also be a part of the experiment.

Why does it matter?

For those unfamiliar, RGGB (commonly used in smartphone sensors) and RYYB refer to different color filter array configurations used to capture color information. While RGGB is considered to be ideal for general photography, the RYYB configuration excels in low-light conditions, capturing brighter images but sometimes at the cost of color accuracy.

So, it may benefit the Pura 80 Ultra in low-light photography. As for the color accuracy, the smartphone giant has previously experimented with it and likely has some experience on how to navigate through the challenges that come with RYYB. Nonetheless, we’ll need to test the color accuracy ourselves once the device hits the market.

The tipster also stated that the entire series comes with variable aperture, and the amount of light that enters the main sensor is sufficient.

To recall, Huawei used the RYYB color filter array with the Pura 70 Ultra as well, and the phone competes well with other flagships regardless of the lighting condition.

Oppo Find X8 Mini: Detailed camera specifications leaked

Recent reports suggest that Oppo is preparing to launch two new Find-series smartphones in March in China. These include the much-anticipated Find X8 Ultra and a more compact version, the Find X8 Mini. Reputable tipster Digital Chat Station recently shared the key specifications of the Mini variant. Today, he released a Weibo post to reveal the camera specifications of the said device.

Oppo Find X8 Mini camera specifications (rumored)

Oppo Find X8 Mini camera specs leaked

According to the new leak, the Find X8 Mini is set to sport a triple-camera array featuring a 50-megapixel primary camera with a sizable 1/1.56-inch format and optical image stabilization, accompanied by an f/1.8 aperture for improved low-light performance. A previous leak from the same source claimed that it would feature a Sony IMX9-series primary camera. It can be said based on the new leak that it could be equipped with a Sony IMX866 main sensor.

Additionally, the device features a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens with an f/2.0 aperture, ideal for capturing expansive scenes The camera setup also includes a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens, offering 3.5X magnification with an f/2.8 aperture and a focal range from 0.6X to 7X.

Reports surrounding the Find X8 Mini reveal that it will be a compact phone featuring a 6.3-inch LTPO OLED panel with a flat design and ultra-thin bezels. It will offer a 1.5K resolution of 2640 x 1216 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. The device will be equipped with a metal frame with a glass back, achieving a premium look and feel.

Under the hood, the phone is powered by the Dimensity 9400 chipset, ensuring performance on par with the higher-end models of the X8 series. Further highlights include complete NFC support, an infrared remote control, dual speakers, an x-axis linear haptic motor, and ColorOS 15-based Android 15. The device is also expected to feature a new push-type Alert Slider button.

Xiaomi 15’s higher RAM and storage variants may remain exclusive to China

Xiaomi launched its new flagships towards the end of last year in its home country. However, the models are yet to make their way to the global market. Now, thanks to a new leak, we finally have some information about the base model: the storage, RAM, color options, and the launch timeframe.

Xiaomi 15 global variant’s RAM, storage, and color options revealed

As per leaker Sudhanshu (via XpertPick), Xiaomi 15 will be launched globally during the upcoming MWC 2025 event, scheduled for 3 Mar, 2025 – Thu, 6 Mar, 2025. The phone is expected to come in two configurations: 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512 GB. In comparison, the phone is available in two more configurations in the home country: 16GB RAM + 512GB and 16GB RAM + 1TB.

Xiaomi 15 color options in China

There will be three color options to choose from: Green, Black, and White. Surprisingly, these are the same color options Xiaomi sold the predecessor with. In China, the phone is available in different color options such as Lilac Purple and Light Grass Green. While some difference between the Chinese and global models is expected, it’s unlikely for the company to choose the same color options as last year’s models. So take this part of the leak with a pinch of salt.

Moving on, the rest of the internal specifications such as the chipset, battery, and camera sensors are likely to remain the same as the Chinese variant. To recall, the one released in China packs the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, three 50MP cameras – 1/1.31″ main (with OIS) + 3X telephoto (with OIS) + 14mm ultrawide – a 5400mAh battery which supports 90W wired and 50W wireless fast charging.

While the camera system is very similar to that of its predecessor, Xiaomi has achieved significant improvement in imaging and video performance through improvements in image processing. So anyone using the Xiaomi 14 series or an older model will notice an improvement here.

As for the UI experience, the phone comes with HyperOS 2.0 out-of-the-box, which is based on Android 15. According to a recent report from Dealabs, European pricing is expected to remain the same as its last year.

Official Pixel 9a case images align with design leaks, new front render emerges

The Google Pixel 9a launch is just around the corner, and the leaks continue to pour in. We’ve already seen a deluge of information, from wallpapers to detailed specifications. Now, thanks to Android Authority, we’re getting a look at the official case designs.

Pixel 9a will have a color-matching case

The cases themselves are pretty much what you’d expect. They seem to follow the familiar Pixel design language, but without the raised camera bar that’s a hallmark of the higher-end Pixel models. Since the 9a is ditching the protruding camera bar, the case design reflects that.

The cases seem to feature a soft-touch silicone exterior with a microfiber lining inside. You’ll find “Pixel” branding on the interior and Google’s signature “G” logo on the back.

According to the report, the cases will come in at least four colors to match the phone’s options: Peony (pink), Obsidian (black), Iris (purple), and Porcelain (white).

Google Pixel 9a from front

Adding to the flood of leaks, renowned tipster Evan Blass briefly shared an image of the Pixel 9a’s front before it was taken down—possibly due to legal concerns.

The image shows the upcoming phone has a slightly thinner bottom bezel compared to the Pixel 8a, though the overall bezels remain noticeably thick by today’s standards. Still, that’s not surprising for a mid-range device.

Moreover, spec rumors suggest the Pixel 9a will pack a Tensor G4 chip and a hefty 5,100 mAh battery—the largest ever for a Pixel phone. Other expected features include a 6.28-inch OLED display with a peak brightness of 2,700 nits, 8GB of RAM, a 48MP main camera, and a 13MP ultrawide lens.

As always, we’ll keep tracking the leaks and bring updates as they roll in.

Motorola Razr Plus 2025 (Razr 60 Ultra) leaked renders emerge to reveal design

Last week, the upcoming Motorola Razr Plus 2025 flip phone was spotted with a flagship Snapdragon chip on the Geekbench benchmarking platform. Now, AndroidHeadlines has shared leaked renders to provide a brief preview of the device intended for the US market, while it is expected to be marketed as the Razr 60 Ultra elsewhere.

The Motorola Razr Plus 2025’s leaked renders indicate that the device, codenamed Orion, showcases a refined dark green finish with a stitched faux leather rear that adds a premium feel. One of the major highlights of the Razr Plus 2025 is its large cover display, which supports the full range of Android applications, setting it apart from many competing flip phones.

The right edge of the Razr Plus 2025 features volume buttons and a side-facing fingerprint scanner. While the publication has released multiple images of the phone, none of them offer a clear view of the internal foldable screen. Nevertheless, the image below shows that the internal display has a punch-hole design and slim bezels. Its bottom edge features a SIM slot, a microphone, a USB-C port, and a speaker.

The images also confirm that the Razr Plus 2025 is equipped with dual camera modules on the back. Although specifics remain limited, early expectations suggest that one unit will capture wide-angle shots, while the other may serve a telephoto role, potentially reviving a feature absent in the previous iteration.

Motorola Razr Plus 2025 specifications (rumored)

Beneath its stylish exterior, the Razr Plus 2025 is poised to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. It is rumored to come with up to 12GB of RAM and a base storage capacity of 256 GB. It could be equipped with a 6.9-inch internal display and a 4,000mAh battery.

Like the previous generation, the Razr Plus 2025’s cover screen will be able to run a full suite of Android apps, a feature that continues to distinguish the Razr lineup from rival offerings, including recent foldable entries from Oppo.

iQOO Z10 Turbo / Pro launch timeline leaks

iQOO has been busy expanding its Z9 series right up until the end of 2024, but whispers of its successors began circulating even before that. The upcoming iQOO Z10 series is expected to feature four models: the Z10x, Z10, Z10 Turbo, and Z10 Turbo Pro.

And now a new leak from Weibo, courtesy of reliable tipster Digital Chat Station, might have just revealed key details about the latter two models in the lineup.

iQOO Z10 Turbo / Turbo Pro expected launch

According to the leak, two of the phones—one powered by the Dimensity 8400 and the other by a yet-to-be-announced Snapdragon 8M8735 (possibly dubbed the Snapdragon 8s Elite)—are set to launch in April.

Both phones will feature 1.5K LTPS flat screens and a new independent graphics chip. While the tipster didn’t explicitly name the devices, the specifications suggest they could be the iQOO Z10 Turbo and Z10 Turbo Pro.

iQOO Z10 Turbo, Z10 Turbo Pro launch timeline leaks

Further details point to massive batteries, reportedly ranging between 7000mAh and 7500mAh. For context, the entire Z9 series offers battery capacities between 6,000mAh and 6,400mAh. So if true, the Z10 series is a notable upgrade in terms of battery life. And despite these large cells, iQOO is said to have managed to keep the phones’ weight in check.

The leak also suggests that the Z10 series could see additional mid-range models later in 2025. We assume that means the Z10 Turbo variants might debut in April, followed by the more basic models.

While the leak reveals no more about the phones, previous reports have revealed that the Z10 Turbo will have a flat OLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate. It will have a 50-megapixel dual-camera system on the back. The device will pack a large silicon-carbon battery of around 7,000mAh capacity. It is expected to support 80W or 90W fast charging.

Oppo Find N5 / OnePlus Open 2 has Snapdragon 8 Elite (7-core), 5,600mAh battery

Oppo recently confirmed that it will hold a launch event on Feb. 20 to unveil the Oppo Find N5 and the Oppo Watch X2. Today, the brand released a couple of posters to confirm the chipset, battery size, and DeepSeek AI integration. Here is a look at the details confirmed by the brand.

Oppo Find N5 chipset, battery, and AI integration

The Oppo Find N5 will debut as the world’s first Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered foldable phone. The Geekbench listing that emerged a couple of days back revealed that it will not feature the regular version of the chip, but it will arrive with a 7-core edition.

The Snapdragon 8 Elite 7-core edition features a 2+5-core configuration with two high-performance cores clocked at 4.32GHz and five efficiency cores at 3.53GHz. This version, identified internally as SM8750-3-AB, is a 7-core variant optimized for performance and efficiency.

The foldable phone packs a 5,600mAh battery, setting a new benchmark for foldable phone endurance. It’s a major upgrade compared to the previous generation Find N3, which was backed by a 4,805mAh battery. The N5’s huge battery is packed inside an ultra-thin chassis that measures around 9.2mm in the folded state.

As far as battery life is concerned, lab tests indicate that the Find N5 can record 1080p video in extreme cold (-15°C) for 4.2 hours, surpassing existing foldables that last 3.2 hours in similar conditions. Additionally, it supports 24 hours of video streaming and 18.47 hours of online meetings.

Oppo has integrated China’s very own DeepSeek-R1, an advanced AI model launched in January 2025, into the Find N5. This enables intuitive voice commands via the Xiaobu assistant, allowing users to perform tasks with a single phrase, and store results locally. DeepSeek-R1 is designed for natural interactions, complete functionality, and extensive real-world applications.

The Find N5’s global version, which is also set to debut on the same date, will be equipped with Google Gemini. Reports have revealed that the foldable phone will be rebranded as OnePlus Open 2 in markets such as the US, Europe, and India. Therefore, it will also feature the same chipset and battery.

Galaxy AI Subscription Club: here’s how it’s changing how people buy phones

Samsung announced its “New Galaxy AI Subscription Club” just after the launch of the Galaxy S25 series, aiming to revolutionize how people purchase phones. It essentially lets you upgrade to the latest flagship without having to pay the full amount at once and sell it back to Samsung next year when the successor arrives. All of it is paired with additional perks.

“New Galaxy AI Subscription Club” proves to be a success

Now, here’s the result: 30% of the unlocked device buyers is the official Samsung website subscribed to the program, as reported by Sammy Fans. 60% of the subscribers are in their 20s and 30s. Not to mention the demographic is more open to a subscription model and tends to upgrade their devices more often.

As per the additional benefits, the subscription plan offers a 50% residual value guarantee given the user returns their Galaxy S25 after 12 months of purchase. This credit can be used to purchase the next Galaxy S-series device, essentially offering the new phone at half price. For those who return the device after 24 months, Samsung will offer up to 40% of the listed price of the device as a credit.

The reduction in upfront cost paired with these additional perks is making the deal more appealing than the conventional one-time payment option.

As for the hardware though, there’s not much new this year aside from slight tweaks in the external design. While most of the internal components and their placement remain the same as last year’s models, the company did spend the time to make some internal restructuringfor example, the old S Pen with Bluetooth support almost fits inside this year’s model, but it doesn’t lock into place.

When it comes to software, the Galaxy S25 series boasts some of the most advanced AI features available on smartphones—such as the object eraser. However, Samsung has hinted that these features may become part of a subscription plan starting next year.

5 Reasons Why the Oppo Find N5 Could Be the Best Foldable to Date

Oppo is gearing up to launch its next foldable, the Find N5, on February 20. The device is the successor to the Find N3, which debuted in 2023. Notably, the company skipped a foldable release in 2024.

Instead, Oppo took the extra time to refine its approach—and it looks like that decision is paying off. If early buzz is any indication, the Find N5 could be Oppo’s most polished foldable yet, and maybe even one of the best foldables ever.

1. Unmatched Thinness and Premium Build

Oppo Find N5
Oppo Find N5

One of the most striking aspects of the Find N5 is its unprecedented thinness. Oppo has managed to engineer a foldable phone that, when unfolded, is barely thicker than a USB-C port

When unfolded, the device measures approximately 4.2 millimeters which makes it the world’s thinnest book-style foldable phone to date. And despite its slender form factor, the Find N5 doesn’t compromise on durability.

The device features a 3D-printed titanium alloy hinge to maintain its structural integrity. It also boasts an array of water-resistance certifications, including IPX6, IPX8, and IPX9, which is a first for any foldable.

2. A Creaseless Display

Oppo-Find-N5-crease-live-image-1

The Find N5 features an 8.12-inch LTPO OLED foldable display with support for 1 billion colors, Dolby Vision, and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. But Oppo’s biggest flex for Find N5 is a nearly invisible crease.

Foldable displays have long struggled with visible creases, but based on renders and live images so far, Oppo seems to have cracked the code. The crease is so subtle that you’d have to catch it under just the right lighting to notice it—and even then, you’d be nitpicking.

3. Snapdragon 8 Elite and Big Battery

Under the hood, the Find N5 is expected to debut with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite, making it the first foldable to feature the new chip. It’s paired with 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage, so performance should be buttery smooth.

However, Oppo is reportedly using a 7-core variant of the Snapdragon 8 Elite instead of the standard 8-core version. According to Mishaal Rahman, this tweak could help reduce heat without sacrificing much in terms of performance.

Despite its slim design, the Find N5 is rumored to pack a massive 5,600mAh battery. Mind you, that’s bigger than what you’ll find in flagships like the Galaxy S25 Ultra or iPhone 16 Pro Max. And that’s seriously impressive for a foldable that this slim. It will have support for 80W wired and 50W wireless charging for battery top-ups.

Notably, Oppo might be adding wireless charging compatibility with in-car systems from EV brands like BYD and NIO in China, making the Find N5 even more versatile.

4. Software and Cameras

As for the cameras, the foldable rear module will comprise a 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) and phase detection autofocus (PDAF), a 50MP periscope telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultrawide sensor.

For selfies, the device features two 8MP front-facing cameras—one on the cover display and another on the inner display—for high-quality shots in both folded and unfolded states.

Oppo has done a stellar job bringing clever multitasking tricks to its foldables, making full use of that big inner display like no other. Now, I’m curious to see if can Oppo push things even further. We’re hoping to see Oppo build on its strengths and introduce new features that truly take advantage of the large canvas.

We’ll find out this when the reviews start rolling in, but one sure thing is that the Find N5 will ship with Android 15, running Oppo’s ColorOS 15 skin on top.

5. Final Thoughts

With its ultra-thin design, nearly invisible crease, flagship-tier performance, premium camera setup, and advanced software features, the Oppo Find N5 is looking to be the most refined foldable smartphone yet.

It is launching in China and select international markets on February 20, 2025, but there’s no word yet on a U.S. release. That said, history suggests there’s a good chance it could make its way stateside.

Oppo’s previous foldable, the Find N3, eventually landed in the U.S. as the OnePlus Open. If Oppo sticks to that playbook, we might see a rebranded Find N5 hit the American market later this year—likely as the OnePlus Open 2.

Oppo-Hasselblad, Vivo-ZEISS, Xiaomi-Leica: How camera partnerships elevate smartphone photography

Camera technology has become one of the biggest differentiators among brands in the world of smartphones. While smartphone manufacturers have made significant strides in camera hardware and software, many have also turned to established camera brands for expertise. These partnerships aim to enhance image processing, lens quality, and color science, pushing mobile photography closer to professional-grade results.

Let’s take a closer look at some of the key partnerships between smartphone and camera brands and what they bring to the table.

1. Oppo & OnePlus x Hasselblad

  • XPan Mode: Inspired by Hasselblad’s classic XPan film cameras, this mode allows users to shoot cinematic panoramic photos with a vintage look.
  • Portrait enhancements: The latest OnePlus and Oppo flagships use Hasselblad’s expertise to improve portrait bokeh, mimicking DSLR-like depth-of-field effects.

2. Vivo x ZEISS

Xiaomi’s new Fascia Gun 3 Mini weighs less than a soda can but packs a punch

Xiaomi has introduced the Mijia Fascia Gun 3 Mini in China, following the release of the Mijia Massage Gun 3 last year. It is priced at 229 yuan ($31) and will be available starting February 12.

Xiaomi Fascia Gun 3 Mini

Xiaomi Fascia Gun 3 Mini Specifications

The Fascia Gun 3 Mini sports a dual-mode system, offering both fixed-frequency and variable-frequency massage settings. It comes with three intensity levels in each mode, allowing adjustments based on different needs. The fixed-frequency mode provides a consistent massage for pre- and post-workout relief, while the variable-frequency mode dynamically adjusts intensity for deeper relaxation.

It is equipped with a powerful brushless motor that delivers up to 12kg of thrust force, reaching 6mm deep into the fascia layers to quickly relieve muscle fatigue. Despite its strength, it operates quietly, generating as little as 40dB of noise, which is comparable to the sound of a refrigerator.

The massage gun sports an intelligent pressure-sensing LED ring, which provides real-time feedback on applied force. The indicator light changes color depending on the pressure: off when the pressure is minimal, white when the pressure is optimal, and orange when the pressure is excessive. This feature helps users maintain safe and effective massage levels without overexerting their muscles.

It comes in a lightweight, portable design, weighing only 357g, roughly the same as a can of soda. Its compact build allows it to be easily stored in a bag or even a pocket, making it convenient for use at home, in the office, during workouts, or while traveling.

For added convenience, it is equipped with an intelligent memory function, which remembers the last-used mode and intensity level, allowing users to resume their preferred settings instantly upon powering on. The device also includes three interchangeable massage heads, a flat head for general muscle relaxation, a ball-shaped head for larger muscle groups like shoulders and thighs, and a U-shaped head for targeted relief around the spine and calves.

The Fascia Gun 3 Mini features a 1900mAh lithium battery, offering up to 9 hours of use on the lowest setting and 5 hours under a 2kg load. With 15 minutes of daily use, it can last up to 30 days on a single charge. It charges via a Type-C port for added convenience.

The device features a sleek unibody design with an ergonomic grip for enhanced comfort. It comes in three stylish colors: Deep Space Gray, Light Sand, and Light Blue.

In related news, Xiaomi recently introduced the Mijia Corded Vacuum Cleaner with 600W power and 16kPa suction for just $26, along with the Xiaomi Smart Dumbbells, which feature motion sensors, an LED display, and app integration.

Comparing Samsung Galaxy S25 and Vivo X200: Which is Better?

Samsung Galaxy S25 and Vivo X200 are two of the most exciting flagship smartphones, each excelling in different areas. Samsung focuses on software longevity and refined user experience, while Vivo pushes cutting-edge hardware and fast-charging capabilities. With differences in display technology, camera systems, and battery performance, this comparison will highlight which device suits different types of users. Whether you want a reliable long-term device or the best value for performance, understanding these distinctions will help you make an informed choice.

1. Design and Display

Vivo X200
Vivo X200

The Galaxy S25 has a premium glass and aluminum build with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection, while the Vivo X200 also features a glass front and aluminum frame but uses Schott Xensation Alpha for screen protection. The Galaxy S25’s 6.2-inch Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X panel is slightly smaller than the 6.67-inch AMOLED display on the Vivo X200. However, the Vivo X200 has a higher resolution (1260 x 2800) and a peak brightness of 4500 nits, compared to 2600 nits on the S25.

Both displays support 120Hz refresh rates and HDR10+, but Vivo’s Ultra HDR image support and higher brightness give it an edge for outdoor visibility. That said, Samsung’s LTPO technology is more efficient in adjusting refresh rates, which helps with power consumption.

The Vivo X200’s display is objectively brighter and sharper, making it better for HDR content, but Samsung’s LTPO tech ensures a smoother and more efficient experience.

2. Specifications

Samsung Galaxy S25
Galaxy S25

The Galaxy S25 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite (3nm), while the Vivo X200 runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 (3nm). Both chipsets are flagship-grade, but Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite has shown better GPU performance and sustained efficiency, making it ideal for gaming.

In terms of battery, the Vivo X200 has a significantly larger 5800mAh (Global) / 5220mAh (Austria) battery, compared to the 4000mAh in the Galaxy S25. Vivo also supports 90W wired charging, much faster than Samsung’s 25W charging. While both support wireless charging, Vivo’s reverse wired charging is a plus.

The Vivo X200 wins in battery life and charging speed, making it ideal for heavy users. However, Samsung’s software optimizations and efficient chipset help balance out the smaller battery.

3. Camera

Vivo X200
Vivo X200

The Galaxy S25 features a 50MP wide, 10MP 3x telephoto, and 12MP ultrawide setup, while the Vivo X200 has a triple 50MP setup (wide, periscope telephoto, and ultrawide) with Zeiss optics. The 3x periscope telephoto lens on Vivo has a larger sensor and better OIS, making it superior for zoom shots.

For selfies, Samsung uses a 12MP camera, while Vivo has a 32MP ultrawide sensor, which is more versatile for group shots. Both devices shoot 4K video at 60fps, but Samsung offers 8K recording, making it a better choice for pro-level videography.

If you prefer sharp zoom and color accuracy (Zeiss optics), Vivo is the better pick. But if you prioritize video quality and software enhancements, Samsung takes the lead.

4. Pricing

The Galaxy S25 is more expensive than the Vivo X200, making Vivo a more value-for-money option. However, Samsung offers 7 years of Android updates, while Vivo only promises 4 years, which might make it worth the extra cost for long-term use.

If you want longer software support and better resale value, Samsung justifies the premium. If you want flagship hardware at a lower price, Vivo X200 is unbeatable.

5. Conclusion

Samsung Galaxy S25
  • Samsung Galaxy S25: Better chipset (Snapdragon 8 Elite), LTPO display for power efficiency, 8K video recording, 7 years of software updates.
  • Vivo X200: Brighter display (4500 nits), bigger battery (5800mAh), faster 90W charging, periscope zoom camera, Zeiss optics, and an IR blaster.

The Vivo X200 stands out in hardware, but Samsung offers long-term value and software refinements, making it better for users who plan to keep their phone longer.
