Qualcomm’s next flagship chips are still months away from becoming official, but leaks are already sketching out what the company might be planning. As you might have heard, there could be two versions this time: the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro. 

According to a new report from ITHome, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro could support LPDDR6 RAM.

Previously, it was believed to support LPDDR5X, but a report last week suggested that LPDDR6 is on the cards for the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro.

In line with that, the Pro model, carrying the internal model number SM8975, has appeared in customs information with the new memory support.

The SoC is also said to feature a 2+3+3 CPU layout, likely an all-big-core setup similar to the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. This means there will be two prime cores for peak performance, three performance cores for sustained workloads, and three efficiency-oriented cores.

On the graphics side, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro is said to include an Adreno 850 GPU along with 18MB of GMEM (graphics memory).

The standard version of the chip reportedly shares the same CPU architecture, but it may run at lower clock speeds and use a slightly less capable Adreno 845 GPU. More notably, this version is expected to stick with LPDDR5X memory rather than move to LPDDR6.

Of course, with the launch still some time away, these specifications could change. But if LPDDR6 does make its way into the Pro model, it would mark one of the first major shifts in mobile memory in a while.

Samsung Display has announced a new film technology designed to reduce glare on QD-OLED monitors while improving panel durability. The technology, called QuantumBlack, will be applied across all new QD-OLED monitor panels released by the company this year.

QD-OLED panels are capable of delivering true black levels by switching off individual pixels. However, reflections from ambient light can reduce perceived contrast in real-world conditions. Asus has launched its latest all-in-one desktop series, the ExpertCenter P600 AiO, designed to deliver next-generation AI performance for business users. The lineup includes two models, the 27-inch PM670GA and the 24-inch-class PM640GA.

On the inside, the phone will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 5G chipset. It should handle everyday tasks like browsing, streaming, and light gaming without much trouble, which is likely the priority for this segment.

The camera setup appears fairly simple. The report suggests a 50MP main sensor paired with a secondary lens on the back, mainly to maintain the dual-camera design, along with a 16MP front camera.

One area where the phone could stand out is a large 7,000mAh battery. Its predecessor from 2024 paired a 5,110mAh cell with 80W fast charging. So, hopefully the Nord CE6 Lite will support similar charging for quick top-ups.

Unfortunately, the report hints at a cost-cutting move here: the phone may not ship with a charger in the box. This could be disappointing for users who are already on a tight budget, especially in the Indian market, where this move from Chinese smartphone makers hasn’t fully normalized yet.

Lastly, pricing. According to the report, the 6GB + 128GB option (base variant) could cost “under ₹23,000,” which is quite aggressive in 2026 for the specs mentioned above.
