This could mean that the upcoming tablet could be powered by either the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip or the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. The OLED tablet is also expected to offer an 11-inch display with a 144Hz refresh rate.

But for those of us who value affordability without sacrificing all the bells and whistles, the mid-range market is where it’s at. And one of the most anticipated mid-range smartphone releases this year is the upcoming Redmi Note 14 series.
We haven’t heard an official peep yet, but considering Xiaomi’s usual cadence—the Note 13 series launched last September—an announcement for the Note 14 series seems imminent this month.
Thanks to reliable leaks and certifications, we have a decent idea of what these phones might offer. Let’s break down everything we’ve gathered so far about the Redmi Note 14 series.
First things first, Xiaomi is expected to launch at least three smartphones in the Redmi Note 14 series initially. The lineup will include the base Redmi Note 14 5G, the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G, and the high-end Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G.
The most convincing evidence of their existence comes from certification bodies. And fortunately, all three phones have appeared in the IMEI and China’s Radio Certification. While these listings don’t spill the beans on specs, they confirm that these phones are indeed in the works.
The standard Redmi Note 14 and its Pro variant have also appeared on the 3C certification platform, revealing details about their charging.
The standard Note 14 is expected to support 45W wired charging, a noticeable upgrade from the 33W of its predecessor. Meanwhile, the Pro model will move from a 67W charger to a more impressive 90W option—ideal for those who need quick top-ups and can’t tolerate low battery life.

The back design of the phone will likely remain the same as the Note 14 Pro, though. A report further reveals that the Note 14 Pro+ will feature a plastic frame and an optical in-screen fingerprint sensor for security.
Under the hood, the 14 Pro Plus is expected to be powered by a Dimensity 7350 chipset. It’s a new chip from MediaTek, made on a 4nm manufacturing processor, and includes processing cores with a top speed of 3 GHz.
For the camera, a report from July suggests the following setup: a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro camera on the back. The report also mentions that the decision to include a telephoto camera on the Note 14 Pro+ has reportedly been canceled by Xiaomi for some reason.
However, it’s a newer report that suggests the Note 14 Pro will have a telephoto camera in the global market. If that’s the case, it would be highly unlikely that Xiaomi will omit a telephoto camera for the even more expensive Pro Plus model.
All these details are based on leaks, so it’s best to take them with caution until official announcements are made.
UAE’s TDRA (Telecommunications Regulatory Authority) and the UL Demko certification platform have recently confirmed that the Galaxy Tab S10+ will come in both Wi-Fi and 5G versions. In related news, the Galaxy S24 FE has also been spotted on TDRA and TUV Rheinland certification platform.
TUV certification reveals that the Galaxy S24 FE will support 25W charging, the same as its predecessor. It’s also reported that the phone will support 9W wireless charging. Interestingly, the Galaxy S23 FE supports a relatively faster 15W wireless charging.
TUV certification also reveals that the phone will come in a total of seven models – SM-S721B/DS, SM-S721B, SM-S721N, SM-S721Q, SM-S721U, SM-S721W, SM-S7210. These model numbers are expected to represent the device in different markets, of which SM-S721B is the global version, and SM-S721U is for the US market.
According to the TDRA certification listing, the Galaxy S24 FE is “SM-S721B/DS”, where “DS” indicates that the device supports dual-SIM dual standby. The global variant (SM-S721B/DS) has also been approved by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), which confirms that the phone will support Wi-Fi 6E (2.4GHz and 5GHz bands), NFC, Bluetooth 5.3, 5G connectivity, LTE, and GSM. The phone is said to measure 162mm and 77.3mm in height and width respectively.
We already know that the Galaxy S24 FE will be powered by a slightly downclocked version of the Exynos 2400 chip, which powers the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+. The phone is expected to be released between September to early October. In terms of appearance, the phone could be very similar to its predecessor, at least when it comes to the back design. Live images of the phone have already been revealed, which show a very similar camera module design, similar flat sides, and an identical placement of the flash module as compared to the predecessor.

Though official specs are still under wraps, the Phantom V Fold 2 is expected to feature a 5,610mAh dual-cell battery with 70W fast charging, powered by the Dimensity 9000 Plus chipset.
The V Flip 2 is rumored to run on the Dimensity 8050. Tecno is positioning these foldables as more affordable alternatives to premium options like Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 6, which starts at $1800, and Motorola’s cheapest 2024 clamshell foldable, priced at $700.

Vivo is reportedly set to expand its T3 lineup with the introduction of the Vivo T3 Ultra in India. According to reports, the T3 Ultra will be powered by the Dimensity 9200 Plus chipset, making it more powerful than the Vivo T3 Pro, which uses the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3. The Ultra variant is expected to be priced around Rs 30,000 ($358), slightly higher than the Pro model’s starting price of Rs 24,999 ($298).
The T3 Ultra is rumored to feature an IP68-rated body, a curved-edge AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution, and 4500 nits of peak brightness. It will also sport an OIS-enabled Sony IMX921 primary camera. The device, with model number V2426, has appeared on Geekbench, confirming the D9200+ chip, 12 GB of RAM, and Android 14.
Interestingly, these specs are similar to those of the Vivo V40 Pro, though the T3 Ultra may lack the Zeiss optics found in the V40 Pro. While the report suggests an early September launch, it seems more likely that Vivo will tease the device for a week before its official debut.
7. Realme P2 Pro

The P2 Pro has been spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website, suggesting an imminent launch. While the listing doesn’t reveal any specs, a report hints at four storage variants: 8GB RAM with 128GB or 256GB storage, 12GB RAM with 256GB storage, and a top-tier model with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. The phone is expected to come in Chameleon Green and Eagle Grey color options.
Pricing details are not yet confirmed, but it is expected to be priced in the sub-Rs 20,000 range, positioning it as a competitor to devices like the POCO X6 and iQOO Z9. The P2 Pro might share similarities with the recently released Realme 13 Pro, which features a 6.7-inch AMOLED FHD+ 120Hz screen, Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset, and a 5,200mAh battery with 45W fast charging. However, these details are based on leaks and reports, so they should be approached with caution until Realme makes an official announcement.

The Redmi Note 14 5G is expected to launch in China in September 2024, with an India release likely in January 2025. Leaks have revealed several details, including its appearance on the radio certification platform in China and the US FCC site. The phone will reportedly run on HyperOS 1.0, feature Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and 5G support, and offer 33W charging, similar to the Redmi Note 13 5G.
The Redmi Note 14 5G is rumored to sport a 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 50MP main rear camera, slightly lower in resolution compared to the Note 13 5G’s 108MP camera. It is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ chipset, a lower midrange processor.
The series might include other models like the Redmi Note 14 Pro, which could feature a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset and 90W charging, and the Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus, rumored to have a Dimensity 7350 chipset and a 1.5K curved OLED display. These details are based on leaks, so they should be taken with caution until official announcements are made.

Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi has introduced three new TWS earphones in the global markets. These include the Redmi Buds 6 Active, Redmi Buds 6 Lite, and the Redmi Buds 6 Play. The first model released in China earlier in May this year and the global version retains the same specifications. The latest offerings are quite different from each other. Beginning with the newly announced Redmi Buds 6 Lite, they feature a stem and silicone ear tips. The TWS earphone has a 12.4mm titanium diaphragm driver and is capable of eliminating surrounding noise with up to 40dB ANC. There are dual microphones with AI noise cancellation for crystal clear quality on calls. The Buds 6 Lite are claimed to offer 7 hours of usage and a total battery life of 38 hours with the pebble-shaped charging case.
As for the Redmi Buds 6 Play, they come with an in-ear design without a stem and silicone ear tips in a squarish-shaped box. The audio device is equipped with 10mm dynamic drivers and pack AI noise reduction. It is backed by up to 36 hours of battery unit and a 10-minute charge is said to offer 3 hours of playback.
The Redmi Buds 6 Active is similar to the one launched in China. It has a 14.2mm dynamic driver tuned by Xiaomi Acoustic Lab promising a powerful sound experience with deep bass. There is also support for Spatial Audio. The TWS earphones have dual mics and AI noise cancellation similar to the Buds 6 Lite and are capable of blocking out wind noise. The audio device has a vertical glossy strip on the stem of the earbud. The earphones come in a square case with a transparent cover that is said to offer 30 hours of battery.
All three newly-launched Redmi Buds 6 series TWS earphones come with Bluetooth 5.4 and Google Fast Pair. They are offered in Black, White, and Blue colors. The Buds 6 Active also comes in Pink shade and costs $14.90. The Redmi Buds 6 Lite is priced at £15/EUR 15/Yen 2,480 in the UK, EU, and Japan respectively. Smartphones are getting smarter and faster every year. There are improvements in camera technology and a lot more. But these upgrades don’t necessarily make your older phones obsolete. A good example of this is the POCO F3. It was a popular budget flagship phone from 2021, but is it finally time to upgrade from it? Read ahead to find out.
Before we get to the answer to this question, let’s see what the POCO F3 offers the users. The Chinese brand unveiled the POCO F3 with some top notch specs and features. It sports a tall 6.67-inch AMOLED display that features an FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and 1300 nits of peak brightness. Under the hood, the POCO F3 is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC that is coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
A 4,520mAh battery pack powers this device, which supports 33W wired fast charging. For optics, you get a 48-megapixel triple camera setup, while the front houses a 20-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calls. Other notable features include a side mounted fingerprint scanner, Bluetooth 5.1, stereo speakers, and an IP53 rating for water and dust resistance.
2. So here’s why you should stick with the POCO F3
Looking at all of these specs and features, the POCO F3 is still a capable smartphone. It is still decent for gaming and heavy use with the Snapdragon 870 being a popular chipset from a couple of years ago. The display makes it great for content consumption as well.
You do miss out on a telephoto shooter, but the primary sensor and ultra wide angle lens are still capable. So all in all, it basically meets most requirements of modern users. The hardware on the POCO F3 is still better than most mid range devices so you’re really not missing out on much.
3. What you should keep in mind
It is worth noting that this doesn’t mean you’re all set for the next few years. There are some things to keep in mind. One might need to finally upgrade if the phone gets damaged and the hardware repairs get too costly. After a couple of years, the battery also slowly starts to degrade and may require a replacement.
However, it really isn’t worth it if the price is too high. Another aspect to consider is the software support. Back in June 2024, the POCO F3 did receive the Android 13 OS based HyperOS update. So the company is still supporting the device. So you can easily use it for the next couple of years.

Parth Monish Kohli shared a tweet that warned owners of the OnePlus 10 and OnePlus 9 series from updating their phones. Apparently, the brand’s older flagship smartphones are facing issues after installing the August update. This issue is reportedly affecting the OnePlus 9, 9 Pro, 9R, 9RT, 10, 10 Pro, and 10R. While the exact problem is still unclear, the latest software update is bricking these older OnePlus smartphones.
Owners of these models have come forward saying that this particular update has damaged their OnePlus devices. Some claim that it is the motherboards that are getting damaged after the update. If this is true, then the company might be facing a faulty update. Keep in mind that the root cause of this issue is still unclear so take this report with a pinch of salt. 2. Is this linked to the motherboard dying issue?
Recently, some OnePlus 10 Pro 5G users were complaining about their phones heating up and facing lags. Motherboards on some OnePlus devices died completely for a few people. But we don’t know if these two issues are directly connected, or whether the update somehow sped up the processor or made it more common. OnePlus has launched an investigation into this issue but these haven’t yielded any results so far. So till then, OnePlus 10 and OnePlus 9 series owners should likely steer clear from this update and stay tuned for more updates regarding this matter.
Samsung is set to debut the highly anticipated Galaxy S24 FE soon. This model is the brand’s upcoming budget flagship phone. As we edge closer to the official release, the Galaxy S24 FE surfaced in fresh certifications that hint at its imminent launch and even offer us a real-life look at the device.
1. Samsung Galaxy S24 FE Live Image Surfaces on FCC
The US variant of the South Korean tech giant’s Galaxy S24 FE was spotted on the Bluetooth SIG platform last month. Now, the same US version carrying the SM-S72U model number visited the FCC certification (Via 91Mobiles). Looking at the online database, we can see that the Galaxy S24 FE supports dual-band WiFi (2.4GHz and 5GHz), NFC, Bluetooth, and 5G connectivity.
The platform has also confirmed support for up to 9W reverse wireless charging. This also means that it supports wireless charging as well. Live images of Samsung’s Galaxy S24 FE can also be seen, showcasing a flat display with rounded corners.
2. Spotted on other certifications
The upcoming budget flagship Samsung smartphone has also visited the TDRA and TUV Rheinland certification. On the TRDA database, the phone was seen with the SM-S721B/DS model number, with the DS standing for dual SIM support. On the other hand, the TUV Rheinland certified the smartphone in seven models, namely SM-S721B/DS, SM-S721B, SM-S721N, SM-S721Q, SM-S721U, SM-S721W, SM-S7210. These likely refer to models for different markets. However, it is confirmed to launch with 25W wired fast charging.
3. What we know about the Galaxy S24 FE
Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S24 FE reportedly sports a tall 6.7-inch AMOLED display that offers a 120Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution. Under the hood, it is equipped with the Exynos 2400e processor, which is paired with at least 8GB of RAM. A 4,565mAh battery pack is expected to power this device and it will likely run on the Android 14 OS based OneUI custom skin out of the box. For optics, the rear has a 50-megapixel triple camera setup, while the front houses a 10-megapixel selfie shooter.

This Mijia kitchen appliance is designed for versatile cooking, featuring a maximum power of 1000W, which allows for fast and efficient cooking. The cooker uses NTC precise temperature control and offers five adjustable heat levels. Levels 1 and 2 are suitable for slow cooking, levels 3 and 4 are for steaming, and level 5 is ideal for boiling.
The 1.5L pot capacity can be paired with a 1.2L steamer, making it possible to cook and steam simultaneously. The appliance is equipped with six preset cooking modes, including hotpot, steaming, noodle cooking, soup making, customized settings, and keeping warm.

After dropping teasers last week, Realme today confirmed the launch date of its upcoming Narzo 70 Turbo smartphone in India. The device will be unveiled on September 9th at 12:00 PM IST.
Alongside the launch date, Realme confirmed that the Narzo 70 Turbo will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Energy 5G chipset. The company claims this chipset is the fastest in its segment with an AnTuTu score of 750,000.
Realme really wants to market the Narzo 70 Turbo as a performance-centric device and it’s quite evident in the design. The device has a Motorsport-inspired look on the back with a prominent yellow vertical stripe running down the center of the rear panel. The camera module sits within this stripe in a squarish shape with slightly raised edges.
The front of the phone appears to have a flat display with minimal bezels, except for a slightly thicker chin. There’s a centered punch-hole cutout at the top that likely houses the front-facing camera.
The power button and volume rocker are situated on the right side, while the speaker grille and a 3.5mm headphone jack sit on the top of the phone.
While not officially confirmed, leaks suggest the Narzo 70 Turbo 5G will be available in four memory variants – 6/128GB, 8/128GB, 8/256GB, and 12/256GB.
As for the cameras, the phone is expected to have a 50-megapixel main sensor with Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) on the back and an 8-megapixel front camera. The handset is said to be available in purple, yellow, and green color options.
Realme is expected to reveal further details about the phone in the coming days leading up to the September 9th launch.
Huawei has scheduled a product launch event for September 10, just one day after Apple’s event. The company revealed the news on Weibo, but the event’s official poster offers little information about the devices to be unveiled.
However, based on a statement from Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei’s Consumer Business Division, it’s highly likely that the company will introduce its first tri-fold phone.
Yu shared on Weibo, “After five years of persistence and investment, we have turned science fiction into reality.” He described the forthcoming product as “the company’s most leading, innovative, and disruptive.”
Yu himself has been seen with a tri-fold phone in public a few times. And the event poster also shows the silhouette of a tri-folding smartphone. Owing to this, it is largely being speculated that Huawei’s tri-fold may break cover at the event.
Yu’s photos of holding Huawei’s tri-fold reveal the phone will have a circular camera module on the back and a surprisingly slim profile when folded. Another image shows the device unfolded, with a centered punch-hole selfie camera on the left side and two visible creases due to the dual-hinge design.
Previous leaks suggest that the phone features an inward folding, outward folding, and dual-hinge design. The screen is expected to be about 10 inches when unfolded, and the device will be powered by the Kirin 9 series platform.
The live stream for the September 10th event is scheduled to begin at 14:30 hours and will likely be available to watch on Huawei’s official Weibo handle.
We are nearing the launch of Samsung’s next-gen Galaxy S25 series. The brand typically releases its flagship phones in two variants, which are the Exynos and Snapdragon variants. But it seems that there are some bittersweet updates regarding the upcoming Galaxy S25 lineup.
According to a fresh report from Hankyung (Via SamMobiles), the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra will feature the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC, which is Qualcomm’s upcoming high-end mobile processor. This is surprising considering Samsung was expected to announce the Exynos 2500 that would power the Galaxy S25. To recall, the Galaxy S24 lineup launched with Exynos 2400 in most markets with the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S24 Ultra shipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
But now, the Snapdragon chips might be powering these devices exclusively. Apparently, Samsung is planning on using the highest performance components to ensure performance and address the doubts customers have regarding the Exynos variants. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 is rumored to offer a notable performance improvement, around 30 percent in AI and GPU.
2. But it’s not all good news
Switching exclusively to Snapdragon would arrive as welcomed news to Galaxy S series fans since these have always been ahead of their Exynos counterparts. If Samsung does move to Snapdragon only, then the series as a whole might be getting a price hike. Known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo (Via PhoneArena) stated that there is a 25 percent to 30 percent rise in the price of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4.
This means that the Galaxy S25 lineup is getting costlier as well. For those unaware, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset is priced somewhere between 190 to 200 US Dollars, and Kuo believes that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 may be priced between 237 to 260 US Dollars.
According to TF International Securities analyst Ming-chi Kuo, Apple will add a graphite sheet to the entire iPhone 17 lineup and an additional VC cooling system to the iPhone 17 Pro Max to improve heat dissipation. With the cooling system, the iPhone 17 lineup is expected to offer significant improvement in performance as compared to its predecessors.
For those unfamiliar with graphite sheets and VC (vapor chamber) cooling, both help spread the heat to a larger area and dissipate it to the environment through the outer surface. The cooling system keeps the key components of the phone (such as the SoC) at a controlled temperature and prevents thermal throttling.

In turn, it enables the device to offer a better or more stable performance. This marks the first time Apple has added these cooling solutions to its iPhones.
Apple has always been indifferent to the cooling systems, however, the company could have finally decided to improve the cooling solution after seeing the performance capabilities of the A17 Pro and its successors.
The iPhone 17 Pro Max is also rumored to offer 12GB RAM while all other models will have 8GB RAM. 12GB RAM on the Pro Max model is expected to be due to more on-device AI features.
The iPhone 17 series may include a total of four iPhone models – the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Slim, iPhone 17 Pro, and the iPhone 17 Pro Max. As you can see, the iPhone 17 Plus can be replaced by the iPhone 17 Slim, which will not only be slimmer but will also be smaller in size.
According to previous reports, the iPhone 17 Slim could measure 6.55″ to 6.6″, which is smaller than the 6.7″ screen of the iPhone 15 Plus. Other than that, Apple is unlikely to offer any major changes in design with the iPhone 17 lineup as compared to its predecessor.
Android 15 release is around the corner – it’s scheduled to be out for the public in October. However, brands have already started working on their version of custom skin, like One UI for Samsung and XOS for Infinix.

Infinix is yet to officially announce a list of Android 15-supported devices. So, we had to review the software update policy for every smartphone and the past rollout history to prepare this list. Naturally, all upcoming high-end devices should be eligible for the upgrade.
While Samsung and Google offer seven years of Android updates, Infinix promises only two upgrades. Among the above-mentioned devices, the Note 40 Pro 5G and Note 40 Pro+ 5G, are confirmed to receive two years of Android OS upgrades and three years of security updates. The sad part is that the company doesn’t even guarantee just one Android update for budget phones.
When Will Infinix Start Rolling Out the Android 15 Update?
Infinix is yet to announce the release date of XOS 15 (based on Android 15), and based on past releases, we are not expecting the release to happen anytime soon.
Let’s take the case of Android 14, which arrived in October last year. While other brands quickly started rolling it out to their devices, Infinix began the rollout in January. So, it appears that the brand will likely start sending the updates in December or early next year.
What’s New in Android 15?
We don’t have many details about the upcoming changes, additions, and improvements to XOS 15, but it’ll likely include new customizations, wallpapers, and security/privacy improvements.
Besides XOS 15, the next big upgrade for Infinix phones will include new features and enhancements from Android 15. Here are the best of them known so far:
1. Theft Detection Lock
This Android 15 feature will stop thieves from stealing your data.
The Theft Detection Lock feature uses Google’s AI to determine when your device has been snatched from your hands. If it detects this, the device will lock itself automatically, preventing thieves from stealing your data. The best part is that thieves won’t be able to activate the device until they have your Google account details.
Snatching/stealing Android phones and selling them off for some money is a common practice among thieves, but Android 15 reduces the incentive by making the device unusable without the correct Google account details.
2. Satellite Connectivity Support
Android 15 “extends platform support for satellite connectivity.” It provides support for SMS, MMS, and native RCS apps to use satellite connectivity for sending and receiving messages.
The new OS adds some UI elements to ensure a consistent user experience. All Android 15 phones may not support satellite connectivity, as they will likely require special chip and carrier support.
3. Split Screen App Pairs
Android 15 lets you create shortcuts for your favourite split-screen app pairs. For example, you can create a shortcut for YouTube and Notes, which will open in the split screen mode when you tap the icon.
This might seem a minor addition, but it’s actually a big thing if you use multiple apps in the split-screen mode. This small addition might save you a lot of time.
4. Satellite Connectivity Support
No cellular network, no worries! Android 15 “extends platform support for satellite connectivity.” It provides support for SMS, MMS, and native RCS apps to use satellite connectivity for sending and receiving messages as long as you are under the sky.
Android 15 also adds some UI elements to ensure a consistent user experience. In addition to the software, the device requires specific hardware to communicate via satellite. This feature may also require carrier support.
5. App Archiving
If you have a lot of apps on your device, the app archiving feature might save you from running out of storage. This feature lets you uninstall/archive the app while keeping the user data around. So, the next time you install the app, you can continue where you left off.
Android smartphones already have the app archiving feature, but it’s restricted to Play Store apps only. However, Android 15 has this feature baked in to also support apps installed outside of the Play Store.
6. Notification Cooldown
Android 15 might also introduce the notification cooldown feature to prevent people from getting overwhelmed by too many notifications. This feature lowers the volume of successive notifications coming from the same app.
