An existing product in the space, the Oura ring does not have a similar feature to help its user find the device. It only enters a Restricted Mode when someone attempts to pair with a new device. The mode allows the user to erase all the information from the ring through the Oura app on the linked device.

The watch will automatically sense and trigger an exclusive customized dial, offering various style combinations for the watch. The smartwatch is equipped with the Unisoc W117 chip with a built-in LPDDR2, 1.0GHz A7 CPU core with support for complete eSIM/ eSIM independent communication. Users can use the network independently without connecting to a mobile phone.

The Xiaomi Watch S3 runs on the Surge OS with a seamless connection to the Xiaomi smart ecosystem. One major highlight of the smartwatch is the ability to unlock the Xiaomi SU7 Electric Vehicle. With the ability to unlock the SU7, Xiaomi may be looking to expand its ecosystem of connected devices to its new SUV. Samsung Galaxy Ring appears on FCC with three different battery sizes

The Samsung Galaxy Ring is expected to launch at the company’s second major Unpacked event this year. The company teased the smart ring in January at MWC 2024, but many details about the wearable were still under wraps. Recently, however, an FCC filing has revealed some key aspects of the wearable.

The FCC documents confirm Samsung‘s earlier statement about offering the Galaxy Ring in nine different sizes, ranging from size 5 to size 13. Interestingly, the battery capacity of each ring will vary depending on the ring size. 

According to the filing, smaller rings (sizes 5 to 7) will pack a 17 mAh battery, while sizes 8 to 11 will boast a slightly larger 18.5 mAh battery. The largest rings sizes 12 and 13, will benefit from a more substantial 22.5 mAh battery.

While Samsung previously claimed a battery life of 5 to 9 days on a single charge. Larger rings are likely to achieve the higher end of that range due to their increased battery capacity. 

The FCC filing also revealed the model numbers associated with each ring size:

Pricing and Availability

The Lava Yuva 5G launched in India with a starting price tag of 9,499 INR for the 4GB + 64GB variant. The 128GB option costs 9,999 INR. It is listed exclusively on Amazon, Lava’s official online store, and its retail network. You can get the smartphone in two color options Mystic Green and Mystic Blue. The first sale is set to kick off on 5th June 2024.

Previously we have seen images of a clamshell foldable phone from Honor surfacing on the internet thanks to a patent application to China’s National Intellectual Property Administration. The phone offers a unique design with sharp corners. The patent has been approved meaning Honor could release a flip phone in the future that stands out from the rest based on how it looks.

Now reliable tipster Digital Chat Station says that the phone could be released as soon as next month and it could be a part of the Magic series. He also claimed that it is going to be a flip phone with the largest battery and the largest external screen. Based on the images from the patent filing (see below), the rear camera system takes up very little space as compared to other flip phones in the market. The image also shows significantly thinner bezels as compared to the Galaxy Z Flip 5.

The tipster also mentioned that the number of folds that the phone will be able to withstand is “relatively fierce”.

During an interview after the Honor 200 series product launch on May 27, Honor CEO Zhao Ming mentioned their upcoming flip phone hinting that it will make a unique value proposition.

According to reports, the company’s supply chain is currently focusing on offering the largest external screen in a clamshell foldable. The functionality of the external screen could be one of the key highlights of the phone. The exact launch date is unknown at this point. A new Oppo smartphone with the model number PKD110 has recently passed through China’s TENAA certification process, revealing its key specifications.

The PKD110 features a sizeable 6.67-inch LCD display with HD+ resolution. At its core is a 2.4 GHz processor. The TENAA listing doesn’t reveal the specific chipset, the clock speed suggests it will be a mid-range SoC.

The device will come with either 8GB or 12GB of RAM, and storage options include 128GB, 256GB, and a generous 512GB. It will be powered by a sizeable 5000mAh battery.

The Oppo PKD110 has a modest camera setup. There is an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls, while the rear features a dual-camera system with a 50MP main sensor and a secondary 2MP sensor.

For biometrics, the phone has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a microSD card slot to expand storage capacity if needed. The TENAA listing also reveals the PKD110’s dimensions: 165.799 x 76.14 x 7.68mm, and a weight of 186 grams.

While we know the specs of the device, the exact model name is still unknown. The design of the phone resembles the Reno 12 series with three rings on the back for the camera module and flat frames. However, it’s unclear whether this is a more affordable model in the Reno 12 line or part of another Oppo smartphone series.

The device has also received CMIIT certification, confirming that it will be a 5G phone. It should soon receive 3C certification, as these are the three certifications required for a smartphone to launch in China. We will keep you updated on new developments regarding the device.

This is the new HUAWEI Matebook 14. It’s a very HUAWEI-style mid-range laptop, with straightforward advantages, such as an excellent screen, attentive software optimization for multi-device collaboration, and stable performance output; Meanwhile, there’re also small compromises that make you hesitate.

we have reviewed Matebook X Pro 2024 – that high-end slim laptop undoubtedly shows Huawei’s advanced technology. But the price was also too ‘premium’ for some users, so HUAWEI offers the mid-range option for the mainstream market. For users who rely a lot on Huawei’s ecosystem, the software experience could be no different from the X series.

Design

The version we reviewed was light green colored, and as you can see the green is quite special. As Huawei officially says, it’s Fresh and soothing. I personally prefer this vibrant color to the other classic grey variant.

Back to the design, the new Matebook 14 continues Huawei’s classic design for laptops – Elegant, integrated but nothing really new. The whole machine looks a bit sharp in appearance. Firstly, it has sharp corners and edges.

Secondly, straight lines are used on the sides and overhangs, and the wedge-shaped design is also straightforward.

Opening the lid, the 14.2-inch OLED screen is truly stunning at first sight, as it has a small bezel for all the edges. HUAWEI officially claimed that it has a 91% screen-to-body ratio.

The keyboard has an interesting design. A subtle height variation visually separates the whole surface into two parts. It makes the trackpad and keyboard look not exactly on the same plane but still keep united as one piece.

The keyboard also supports backlighting. In terms of typing experience, the keys have a low key travel as the other models, but they still offer clear tactile feedback.

In terms of connectivity and expansion, this computer has two USB-A ports and one USB-C port, where the C port is not only a full-featured port, but also supports 40W power-out for emergency charging of mobile phones and other devices.

Performance

The variant we reviewed came with the Intel Ultra 7 155H + 16GB LPDDR5X + 1TB. The last thing you need to worry about is the performance. You can check out the brief charts of its CPU scores in some benchmarks.

In the stress test, this Ultra7 155H maintained 64W peak output for the first 30 seconds and then dropped to 40W; finally, it kept running stably and smoothly until the test was completed. The highest CPU temperature detected is only 80 °C, while the room temperature is even higher than 25 °C. It’s quite impressive with such a cooling effect. But we need to point out that its thermal performance could have supported a more aggressive output strategy. Probably considering the surface temperature might discomfort users when it runs heavily, the designers seem to be more careful about it.

Meanwhile, the noise of the built-in fan is well controlled. During the test, the external air conditioner is even louder than this.

The Matebook 14 uses a 1TB SN740, and there’s not much to say about the performance, but I was more concerned about the temperature of the drive at the beginning. However, the temperature was also only 62° in the large file read/write test – Crazy.

The new ARC GPU in the 155H scored 3300 in Time Spy test, which is slightly lower than expected. Probably due to the 6000Mhz RAM frequency, the Graphics couldn’t get sufficient memory frequency from it. For reference, the time spy score with 7467Mhz RAM was 3600, which is about 8% lower.

But it’s still one of the strongest integrated graphics available. It’s certainly fine to play some games that don’t require super high graphics.

Screen

There is no doubt that the screen is the highlight of this laptop. This is the first time that Huawei has used an OLED screen on a laptop at this price range. The OLED screen, to some extent, is already enough to convince those users requiring high visual enjoyment. It has excellent brightness and high contrast with great color accuracy.

It even supports touching and Huawei’s newest stylus, M-Pencil. One of the things I like most about this screen is that it has excellent software support, and like the top-end Matebook X Pro, this Matebook 14 also supports color-mode switching, which makes it very easy to switch between P3, SRGB, and Adobe RGB, and the colors are very, very accurate. Very few brands notice it on their laptop lineups.

Buying a monitor with these specs on its own would cost more than $400. so if you’re a photographer, it might be a great option.

In terms of dimming, it is DC-like dimming at over 50% brightness, and PWM dimming at less than 50% brightness, which is almost the same as what we could have on flagship phones.

Huawei Ecosystem

Like I said earlier, this PC is also an important part of Huawei’s ecosystem. When paired with a Huawei phone, it allows for quick cross-device access to files and photos, syncing clipboards, backing up videos, and more. Most importantly, it supports screen casting, not just a simple cast, but multiple apps can be cast on this Matebook 14 at the same time. When I am casting multiple apps, the touch screen can help me use those apps better. But also note that if you touch the screen like I did, the screen wobble may annoy you.

If you also have a MatePad, then your experience will become even more flexible with multi-device expansion. With just a simple setup, the MatePad can become a secondary screen. It’s truly the smoothest and most convenient solution for display expansion.

Battery&charging

The Matebook 14 has a built-in 70Wh battery, which in practice is good for ten hours of office scenarios.

The Matebook 14 comes with a 65W charger as standard, and it took about 75 minutes to go from 5% to a fully charged battery with the official charger. I also tested it with a PD3.1 140W charger with a maximum input of 94W, so it could be a bit faster if you use a high-power charger.

Conclusion

I really like this Laptop. As I put at the beginning, its benefits are so special that we even hard to find a similar alternative at the same price. But if you do not use HUAWEI devices a lot, then you can weigh in a bit more in the market. Or if you start experimenting HUAWEI products, the new MateBook 14 could be a proper beginning.

Lava Yuva 5G with UNISOC T750 SoC, 50MP camera & glass back launching later today

Indian smartphone maker Lava has confirmed that later today (May 30), it will be launching the Lava Yuva 5G smartphone. The brand has revealed that the phone is targeted at Gen-Z customers, featuring an in-fashion boxy design with a circular camera module, and a high-performance budget range processor.

As per official teasers revealed by the brand, the phone will be powered by a UNISOC T750 chipset, which is a 6nm octa-core processor boasting two Cortex-A76 cores at 2.0GHz and six A55 cores at 1.8GHz, paired with a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. The brand has claimed that the device can achieve an AnTuTu score of over 360K.

Design details of the Yuva 5G include a flat punch-hole display on the front and a dual camera setup on the back. The smartphone will feature a 50MP main camera and a premium glass back panel with a matte finish. It will be available in blue and green.

Other details about the Lava Yuva 5G will be revealed when it launches later today. The brand has set the launch event for 12 PM, so stay tuned for more details.

Realme 13 Pro+ leak reveals four variants, color options, model number

Realme is reportedly working on a couple of new smartphones for different markets. Today, the brand confirmed the arrival of the Realme GT 6 for the global market. This device could be a rebadged edition of China’s Realme GT Neo 6. The brand is reportedly developing two phones for the Chinese market: the Realme 13 Pro series and a distinct Realme GT 6. The latter is said to be a flagship phone powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which may debut in July to rival the likes of the Redmi K70 Ultra, OnePlus Ace 3 Pro, and iQOO Neo 9s Pro+. As far as the Realme 13 Pro series is concerned, it may launch as early as next month in China. Redmi Pad Pro 5G version launched in China with Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC, 12.1″ 2.5K LCD display

After the recent announcement of the Redmi Pad Pro in the global market, Xiaomi has launched a 5G version of this popular table in its domestic market. The tablet was initially only available with Wi-Fi connectivity in China. Now, the 5G model is retailing via all channels in China.

The Redmi Pad Pro 5G includes an 8MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and an infrared sensor. It features quad speakers with Dolby Atmos support and dual microphones.
