Honor appears to be preparing an interesting update to its Magic series with the upcoming Magic 9. The standard model is expected to combine a relatively compact display with specifications usually associated with larger flagship phones. New details have now surfaced that reveal more about what Honor could be planning.

Honor Magic 9 key specification tipped

According to tipster Digital Chat Station, the Honor Magic 9 standard version could feature a 6.36-inch flat OLED display and an 8,000mAh-class battery. The battery is said to be based on Honor’s third-generation Qinghai Lake silicon-carbon technology, potentially making it the largest battery in its segment.

The combination is particularly notable because compact flagship phones generally make compromises on battery capacity due to their smaller internal space. An 8,000mAh battery inside a phone with a 6.36-inch display would therefore give the Magic 9 a significant endurance advantage if the reported specifications materialize.

DCS claims the phone’s rear camera setup will include a pair of 200-megapixel cameras. The primary one will use a 1/1.4-inch sensor. The other 200-megapixel camera will be a periscope telephoto camera, which was previously said to feature a 64-megapixel sensor. As reported previously, the camera setup will also include a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens.

Other reported features include wireless charging and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. This standard edition is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip from last year, but the Pro models launching alongside it could arrive with the all-new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6-series chipset. Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold

The Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold is Google’s latest book-style foldable, focusing heavily on software and everyday usability. Honor‘s 2026 phone lineup is a little harder to sum up with one standout spec. The company has spent the year trying different ideas across its phones, from the thin and durable Magic V6 foldable to the camera-focused Magic 8 Pro. Then there’s the Robot Phone, which takes a much bigger swing with a built-in gimbal that physically moves the camera to track subjects. Honor first showed the Robot Phone at MWC 2026 before officially launching it in August.

That makes the lineup more interesting than a simple list of newer and older models. Some phones focus on cameras, others on battery life or durability, while the Robot Phone is basically an experiment in what a smartphone camera can become. Here are the Honor phones worth considering in 2026 and what each one does best.

Best Overall

The Magic 8 Pro runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with a 6.71-inch LTPO OLED display at 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone has a claimed peak HDR brightness of 6,000 nits — among the brighter panels on any phone.

The inner crease is also less pronounced this year, reduced by 44% compared to the Magic V5, according to Honor. It runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, and the inner display reaches 5,000 nits of peak brightness while the outer screen hits 6,000 nits. 

It runs on a 7,150mAh battery in China, one of the largest of any foldable currently sold. You can get it for £1999.99 for the 16GB/512GB model in the UK.

Best Mid-Range

The Honor 600 Pro replaced the 400 Pro this year and pushed the camera’s zoom range considerably further in the process. Quick note: the Honor 500 Pro didn’t launch globally.

It features a 6.57-inch AMOLED display at 2728×1264 resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 8,000 nits of peak brightness, running on the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset.

The camera is the real draw here. It has a 200MP main sensor with a 1/1.4-inch sensor paired with a 50MP telephoto lens offering up to 120x zoom, well beyond what most mid-range phones attempt, while the standard Honor 600 tops out around 30x. 

The phone ships with a 7000mAh battery, 80W wired charging, and carries IP68/IP69K ratings. It is priced around $929.

Best Budget

The X80i replaced the X70 as Honor’s current mid-tier X-series pick, and it swaps the X70’s battery-first approach for a stronger focus on display quality and durability. It features a 6.6-inch OLED display with 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 6,500 nits of peak brightness, numbers that are unusually high for a phone in this price bracket.

It runs on the Dimensity 6500 Elite chipset and carries SGS Gold Label five-star drop-resistance certification, with Honor claiming it can survive drops from up to 1.8 meters, along with IP66 dust and water resistance. Pricing in China starts at 1,999 yuan (~ $300).

Most Unique

Nothing else on this list, or really anywhere else on the market, does what the Robot Phone does. It houses a four-degree-of-freedom titanium alloy gimbal that stays hidden inside the chassis and extends in 0.8 seconds when the camera activates, then rotates a full 360 degrees to track a moving subject automatically, essentially building a miniature camera stabilizer rig directly into the phone. Honor built it in partnership with ARRI, the German cinema equipment maker, adding Log-C video recording and professional LUT color grading tools that are normally reserved for dedicated film cameras.

The camera setup includes a 200MP main sensor mounted on that gimbal, a 50MP ultrawide, and a 200MP periscope telephoto, all running through Honor’s in-house Yuguang H1 imaging chip. It runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 with a 6.31-inch LTPO display reaching 6,800 nits of peak brightness, and a 7,060mAh battery with 120W charging. 

It starts at 9,999 yuan in China, around $1,480, for the 12GB/512GB model. Honor has confirmed there’s no global version planned for this first generation, so buying one currently means importing from China.

Which Honor Phone Should You Buy?

The Magic8 Pro makes the most sense if you want the longest zoom range and the biggest battery in Honor’s current flagship lineup. The Magic V6 is a better fit if durability is a priority in a foldable. 

For a mid-range option, the Honor 600 Pro offers long-range zoom and a large battery without the price of an Ultra flagship. The Honor X80i is worth considering if you care more about display quality and drop protection on a budget. And if you want something completely different, the Robot Phone’s moving gimbal camera makes it the most unusual phone in Honor’s lineup.

A new leak adds more detail to the Honor Magic 9 Pro’s camera setup, covering both the front and rear systems.

According to the leak, the Honor Magic 9 Pro will run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 (SM8975) chipset and use a 1:1 square selfie camera, which would make it the first Android phone with this format. A square sensor gives you a wider field of view for selfies and vlogging, since you don’t have to rotate the phone to switch between portrait and landscape framing. The leak also says this front camera setup borrows some of what Honor built for the Robot Phone. 

Honor Magic 9 Pro rear camera specs

On the rear, the specs match what earlier reports have already covered. You get a 200MP main camera with a 1/1.28-inch sensor, an f/1.57 aperture, and 3-degree OIS, paired with a 50MP ultra-wide lens. 

There’s also a 200MP periscope telephoto camera with a 1/1.4-inch sensor and an f/2.6 aperture. This matches what tipster Digital Chat Station shared back in March, when the dual 200MP setup first came up. Honor’s ARRI partnership is also expected to extend to the Pro model, which should bring improvements to color science and video processing.

The square selfie camera itself isn’t new information. Reports in May already pointed to Honor testing a similar sensor for the standard Magic 9, not long after Oppo was tipped to be working on the same format for the Find X10 series. Honor may end up shipping it first.

The tipster behind this leak also mentioned in the comments that Vivo is preparing its own square front camera for next year. That suggests the format could show up across more Chinese phone makers rather than staying limited to one brand.

The Honor Magic 9 series is expected to launch in China around October, so more details should come out as the launch date gets closer.

The tipster further claims the Magic 9 series has three models, including one with a built-in fan. Honor has already confirmed the Magic9 series will launch on September 28, with pre-orders already open in the mainland.

Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 powers the series

The Honor Magic9 series is expected to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen6 chipset. The chip is built on TSMC’s N2P 2nm process, and is expected to offer improvements in performance and power efficiency, along with better support for on-device AI tasks. As for optics, Honor has partnered with German cinema equipment maker Arri for the series. According to leaked specifications, the main camera will use a 200-megapixel sensor measuring 1/1.28 inches. It is also expected to have a wide F1.57 aperture and 3-degree optical image stabilization (OIS). The telephoto is tipped to be a 200MP sensor with a large 1/1.4-inch sensor and an F2.6 aperture. 

With the September 28 launch date approaching, more details about the Honor Magic 9 series should emerge soon. The latest certification listing confirms support for 100W charging, while earlier leaks have already revealed the new 2nm chipset, Arri camera partnership, and 200MP camera hardware.

Honor has quietly unveiled the Honor 600S 5G, which brings together a large battery, durable build and several AI-powered features in a mid-range smartphone package. The phone has been listed officially with its specifications and key features, giving us a clear idea of what it offers. It is also set to reach Hong Kong and Taiwan markets with an affordable starting price.

Honor 600S 5G specifications and features

The Honor 600S 5G features a 6.87-inch TFT LCD with a 1592×720-pixel resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1020 nits peak brightness. The display supports DC and dynamic dimming, low blue light and dark mode.

Under the hood, the phone runs on the Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, while Honor’s RAM Turbo technology can provide a virtual 16GB memory experience. It runs MagicOS 10 based on Android 16.

The phone packs an 8,100mAh battery with support for 45W wired charging. Honor claims the battery can retain more than 80% capacity after five years under its laboratory testing conditions. For photography, it features a 50-megapixel f/1.8 rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera, with both supporting 1080p video recording.

The Honor 600S 5G also includes an AI key for quick access to features such as AI Memory, Circle to Search, AI image removal and AI summaries. Its AI Image-to-Video 2.0 feature can generate and edit short videos through conversational commands. Other features include NFC, a side-mounted fingerprint senor, and stereo speakers with a claimed 400% volume mode.

The device measures 168.3×78.54×8.30mm and weighs 216.5 grams. It also carries IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings, along with a claimed 2.5-metre drop resistance certification.

Honor 600S price and availability

The Honor 600S 5G comes in Desert Gold, Misty Purple and Velvet Black color options. The phone is priced at HK$1,999 (~$255) for the 6GB+128GB version in Hong Kong. Apart from HK, Taiwan is the other market that’s expected to receive the Honor 600S.

Not everyone’s a tablet person. Plenty of people buy one, use it for a week to watch a few shows in bed, and then let it sit in a drawer next to the charger it came with. That’s usually a sign the tablet wasn’t matched to what they actually needed it for. But the ones who do get it, who use their tablet daily for notes, sketching, reading, or genuinely replacing a laptop, tend to swear by them.

The difference in 2026 is that tablets have gotten good enough across the board that almost anyone can find one that earns its keep, whether that’s a massive screen for spreadsheets and Photoshop or something small enough to toss in a bag without a second thought.

Prices have shifted a bit this year too, following the same memory cost squeeze that’s been hitting phones, so a few of these cost more than you might remember from last year’s shopping. Here are five tablets worth considering in 2026.

Apple iPad Pro M5

Apple didn’t make major changes to the iPad Pro‘s design this year, and that’s probably fine. The 13-inch model is still just 5.1mm thick, while the Wi-Fi version weighs 579 grams. Its Ultra Retina Tandem OLED display runs at 120Hz and supports HDR10 and Dolby Vision, with peak brightness of 1,600 nits.

The biggest upgrade is inside. The iPad Pro now runs on Apple’s M5 chip, which brings a noticeable performance boost over the previous generation. Apple claims up to 3.7 times faster performance than the M1 iPad Pro in ray-traced 3D rendering, while gaming tests have also shown better sustained frame rates than the M4 model in demanding games.

Apple has also added its C1X modem and N1 wireless chip. That brings support for Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6, while 40W charging can take the tablet to 50% in around 30 minutes.

You can get it in 256GB, and it goes all the way up to 2TB. Pricing starts at around $999 for the 11-inch model.

The iPad Pro has always been more expensive than most tablets, and that hasn’t changed. You’re paying not just for the hardware but also for iPadOS, Apple’s ecosystem, and the large selection of apps designed for the platform.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra

Samsung has gone all-in on size with the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. It features a huge 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,600 nits of peak brightness. Despite the massive screen, the tablet is only 5.1mm thick.

It is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400+ chip with OneUI on top, and you also get S Pen support, which makes the tablet particularly useful for note-taking, drawing, and other productivity tasks. There’s also an 11,600mAh battery with 45W charging.

Samsung has also given the tablet an IP68 rating for ingress protection. The company has confirmed seven years of software updates for the S11 series, which should keep the tablet useful for a long time.

The Tab S11 Ultra starts at $1,299.99 with 256GB of storage and goes up to $1,899.99 for the 1TB model. Samsung also offers a Pro Keyboard that connects through the tablet’s Pogo Pin connector, making it much closer to a small laptop.

OnePlus Pad 4

The OnePlus Pad 4 is built around the idea that a tablet can be a laptop replacement without costing as much as one. Its 13.2-inch LCD has a 3.4K resolution, a refresh rate of up to 144Hz, Dolby Vision support, and peak brightness of 1,000 nits.

Under the hood is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, so there’s plenty of power for gaming and multitasking. But the battery is arguably the bigger selling point. The tablet packs a huge 13,380mAh battery and supports 80W fast charging.

The large battery means you can go for a long time without reaching for the charger, even with heavy use. OnePlus has also equipped the Pad 4 with an eight-speaker system for entertainment.

Depending on the market and storage configuration, the tablet costs around $630 to $700. That’s considerably less than the iPad Pro and Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra while still giving you flagship-level hardware.

Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro

Not everyone wants a massive 14-inch tablet. The Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro takes a more balanced approach by offering plenty of power in a smaller and easier-to-carry package.

It has an 11.2-inch 3.2K LCD with a 144Hz refresh rate, 12-bit color, Dolby Vision, and up to 800 nits of brightness. Xiaomi also offers a Matte Edition with nano-etched anti-glare glass. It gives the screen a more paper-like finish and makes it particularly comfortable for reading and taking notes.

The tablet runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, and has a 9,200mAh battery with 67W fast charging. Xiaomi even fitted a 50MP rear camera and a 32MP front camera, although cameras aren’t exactly the main reason to buy a tablet.

Its price starts at €649.99 for the 8GB/256GB version and goes up to €769.99 for the Matte Glass model with more storage. That makes it one of the more affordable ways to get flagship-level performance without carrying a huge tablet.

Honor MagicPad 4

The Honor MagicPad 4 is built to be impressively slim at just 4.8mm thick and 450 grams. Despite the ultra-slim body, it packs a 12.3-inch OLED display with a 3000 × 1920 resolution, a 165Hz refresh rate, and up to 2,400 nits of HDR brightness. Those are flagship-level numbers, especially for a tablet this thin.

The tablet is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip and comes with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. It also has a 10,100mAh battery with 66W fast charging, which is impressive considering how little space Honor had to work with inside that 4.8mm body.

It also supports the Honor Pencil 3 stylus and Smart Keyboard, but they are sold separately for €50 or £50 each. MagicOS, for what it’s worth though, may not be as polished as iPadOS or Samsung’s One UI in some areas. But if portability matters to you, the MagicPad 4 is an easy one to consider.

Which Tablet Should You Actually Buy?

The iPad Pro M5 is the best overall choice if you want polished software, powerful hardware, and a strong selection of tablet apps. It’s also the obvious pick for creators and professionals who don’t mind paying more.

The Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is the better option if you want a huge display, S Pen support, and a tablet that can double as a desktop-style workstation with Samsung DeX. The OnePlus Pad 4 makes more sense if performance and battery life are your priorities. It gives you flagship hardware without the price of Apple’s and Samsung’s top-end tablets.

Go with the Honor MagicPad 4 if you want a stunning display in the thinnest, lightest body you can find. And if you want something smaller and easier to carry, the Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro offers a strong mix of performance, display quality, and price.

The Turbo 5G has launched in the Eurasia region. It’s powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chipset and sits firmly in the mid-range. In Geekbench 6, it typically scores around 1,070 in single-core and about 3,060 in multi-core.

You get a 6.79″ AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The camera setup is straightforward: a 50MP main sensor and 5MP ultrawide on the back, plus a 16MP selfie camera up front.

It comes in an 8GB RAM + 256GB storage configuration. The real highlight is the massive 8,560mAh battery with 80W wired fast charging. Despite that, it weighs 196g, lighter than handsets with 5000mAh batteries. It also carries an IP69 rating for dust and water resistance, so it should handle rougher everyday use better than most phones in this price range. Colour options are black, green, and orange.

Software-wise it ships with MagicOS 10 based on Android 16. In the Eurasia market the starting price is 33,990 rubles (roughly 2,716 yuan or $411 at current rates).

The big battery, solid charging speed, and strong IP69 protection are clearly the main selling points here. The Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 will handle daily tasks fine, but endurance and durability seem to be what Honor is pushing with this one.

Honor hasn’t said anything yet about wider global availability or how many years of software updates buyers can expect. For now, the Turbo 5G just gives people in the Eurasia region another option if they want a large battery and proper water resistance. Honor just dropped the official spare-parts prices for its new Robot Phone. The phone went on sale August 18 (a few days after its August 12 launch). The 12GB + 512GB version starts at 9,999 yuan (about €1,270), while the 16GB + 1TB model is 12,999 yuan (around €1,650). Barely a week later, Honor has already published the full list of replacement parts on its official channels.

Here’s the rundown:

• Screen assembly: 979 yuan (€124) if you catch the discounted rate, or 1,379 yuan (€175) at the regular price
• Battery: 319 yuan (€40)
• Back cover: 379 yuan (€48)

The motherboard is where it gets painful. Replacing the one in the 12GB + 512GB model will set you back 4,599 yuan (€584). Go for the higher-end 16GB + 1TB version and you’re looking at 6,599 yuan (€838).

Camera modules vary a lot. The front camera is a relatively painless 149 yuan (€19). On the rear side, the 50 MP ultrawide is 199 yuan (€25), the 200 MP periscope telephoto jumps to 879 yuan (€112), and the 200 MP main rear camera is the real wallet-buster at 3,079 yuan (€391).

That high price for the main camera makes sense once you remember what Honor put in there. The Robot Phone is the first phone with a titanium-alloy gimbal system. It’s built with aerospace-grade titanium, is 65% smaller than typical gimbal designs, and uses the first titanium-alloy gimbal that can spin up to 360 degrees per second. Pair that with a 200MP 1/1.28″ sensor and you can see why the module costs so much to replace.

These official prices give owners a clear idea of what repairs will cost once the warranty runs out. Labor will still be extra, of course, depending on where you get it fixed. The list also drives home just how much engineering went into that camera system, and what the long-term ownership costs might look like for this rather unique flagship.

If the information is accurate, the device could become Honor’s first horizontally folding smartphone to use the latest generation of flagship silicon.

Earlier information suggests the foldable could feature a 7.6-inch inner display and a 5.5-inch outer screen. Its design is expected to use a new body process with a horizontal camera island. The device is also tipped to pack a 7,000mAh battery and a triple-camera setup led by a 200-megapixel primary sensor, with Honor’s imaging technology also expected to be part of the package.

Honor is preparing more phones with huge batteries

Digital Chat Station has claimed in the above Weibo post that Honor is testing another 11,600mAh battery with a typical capacity of around 12,000mAh, alongside previously mentioned 11,790mAh/12,000mAh-class batteries. Two more single-cell batteries are reportedly rated at 9,800mAh and 9,850mAh, with these solutions expected to appear across the Win 2, X and Power series.

At the same time, Honor is also reportedly working on a second-generation Robot Phone under its Alpha project. DCS said the hardware definition of the Alpha second-generation project is already at a very high level, although it remains unclear whether Honor will introduce another unconventional form factor. The first-generation Robot Phone itself has already been officially showcased by Honor as part of its ALPHA PLAN, featuring a motorized gimbal camera and embodied AI capabilities.

After months of leaks and speculation, Honor has finally made its robotic smartphone official. Unveiled today at a global launch event in Guangzhou, China, the Honor Robot Phone is very much a real, mass-produced device — and pre‑orders are already open in China.

Many had written it off as a concept that would never see the light of day, but Honor proved the doubters wrong. The phone’s standout feature is a fully integrated 4‑DoF (four degrees of freedom) titanium mechanical gimbal built directly into the chassis — a first for any mainstream smartphone.

Hands on Experience: Gimbal Hardware – Tiny but Mighty

The gimbal motor weighs just 2.6 grams — 65% smaller than traditional gimbals, yet Honor claims it delivers 200% stronger performance. Over 100 precision components are packed into the mechanism, with most of them on display at the launch venue. The camera can physically rotate, tilt, and track subjects at speeds up to 360° per second, drawing obvious comparisons to a scaled‑down, foldable DJI OSMO Pocket 3.

To protect the delicate gimbal, Honor has added a transparent sliding cover on the surface. Interestingly, the cover can be slid over to the standard camera side, opening the door for third‑party filter attachments — an NV filter, for example. The gimbal only operates when the phone is unfolded, and the Camera app will notify the user if something isn’t right. Despite being made of titanium, durability remains a question mark — one drop could still lead to costly repairs.

During our brief hands‑on time, the mechanism felt smooth and responsive. Thanks to the phone’s powerful chipset, subject tracking is exceptionally fast and accurate. Image stabilization clearly surpasses what traditional smartphones can achieve — a side‑by‑side comparison with a regular phone makes the difference instantly obvious.

We exported a demo clip shot on‑site using the robot phone, and the dynamic range and stability straight out of the camera are genuinely impressive.

Embodied AI and Extensibility

Honor also showcased the phone’s “embodied” AI capabilities, positioning the device as the “brain” and “eyes” for various physical add‑ons. Through the YOYO assistant, users can issue voice commands or use a joystick to make the phone walk or dance. While these accessory kits aren’t yet in mass production, Honor has committed to open‑sourcing them, allowing enthusiasts to 3D‑print their own attachments.

ARRI Partnership and Color Science

A major highlight of the event was Honor’s partnership with ARRI, the legendary cinema camera company. Honor has positioned the Robot Phone firmly in premium territory. The device comes in two configurations: 12GB RAM + 512GB storage priced at CNY 9,999 (approximately $1,480 / £1,100 / AU$2,100), and a higher-end 16GB RAM + 1TB storage variant at CNY 12,999 (around $1,930). It’s worth noting that early market estimates had suggested prices could exceed CNY 15,000, given the cost of the self-developed 4D gimbal mechanism. In the end, the actual pricing came in notably lower than those projections.

Pre-orders opened on August 12 at 8:30 PM, with the first sales officially kicking off on August 18 at 10:08 AM across Honor’s official store and retail outlets. The phone comes in two color options: Star Track Silver and Moon Shadow Gray.

The bad news? As we mentioned earlier, Honor has confirmed there will be no global version for the first-generation Robot Phone. For now, this one is strictly a China-exclusive. International readers interested in getting their hands on one early can check availability through GeekWills.

A new leak from tipster Digital Chat Station claims the Honor is preparing several new smartphone launches between September and the end of 2026. The lineup is expected to include flagship phones, gaming-focused devices, and more affordable models.

The first major launch is the Honor Magic 9 series, which has been confirmed for September. According to previous reports, the series could use a 2nm Snapdragon processor and feature camera technology developed with ARRI. 

Honor could then turn its attention to gaming with the Honor Win 2 series. It is reportedly planned for October, and the leak mentions a Snapdragon SM8975 (8 Elite Gen 6) chipset under the hood.

Previous reports also claim the phones could come with a 10,000mAh+ battery, a built-in cooling fan, and a 6.89-inch OLED panel offering a 2K+ resolution and a 185Hz refresh rate. 

Honor 700 series, Power 3 and X series also launching before 2027

Honor may also expand its mid-range lineup before the end of the year. Digital Chat Station mentions the Honor 700 series, along with new phones under the X and Power 3 series.

The company has already been pushing battery capacity in its affordable phones. For example, the recently launched Honor X7e comes with a large 7,500mAh battery at a budget price. The leak claims these mid-rangers will keep chasing bigger batteries, with some models reportedly setting new capacity records for their price bracket.

Put it all together, Honor could launch four or five major smartphone series in just around four months. This would make the second half of 2026 a busy period for the company.

However, it is important to note that Honor has not officially confirmed this release schedule. So treat the details as a leak until the company says otherwise.

Apart from the Magic 9 lineup, the brand is said to be working on several other smartphones, and recent Weibo posts by reliable tipster Digital Chat Station give an idea of what to expect from them.

Honor phone with rear display in the making

According to DCS, Honor is reportedly evaluating a native rear-display design for a slim, camera-focused smartphone. The secondary screen is said to measure around 1.7 inches, while the flagship line is currently not expected to adopt this design.

While he has not specified the name of the device, the upcoming Honor 700 series may feature this rear display. Based on previous release patterns, the 700 lineup may break cover in November or December this year in China.

In a separate Weibo post, DCS mentioned that Honor is said to have started trial production of a new battery with a rated capacity of 11,790mAh and a rated energy of 43.86Wh. Its typical capacity is expected to be around 12,000mAh, making it another ultra-large battery being tested by the company.

The tipster has not revealed which upcoming Honor phone will use it, but there is a possibility that it may power the upcoming Honor Power 3, which may break cover by early 2027. This phone is expected to feature the next-generation 3nm Dimensity 8600 chip.

Honor’s wide foldable phone in the works

DCS also claims that Honor is exploring a wide-screen foldable, although the project has reportedly not entered formal development yet. If approved, the company is considering a larger-screen version, as the two existing wide foldable phones on the market reportedly feature displays in the 6.3- to 6.4-inch range. Previous reports have claimed that it will pack a 20-megapixel main camera, a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chip, and a 7,000mAh battery.

Apart from these devices, Honor is said to be accelerating the launch of the Win 2 series of gaming-focused phones. It is speculated that the Win 2 models may debut as early as October in China.

Honor Magic 9 series: 2nm chip and ARRI imaging           

After the Robot Phone launch event, Honor CEO Li Jian confirmed that the Magic 9 series will officially debut on September 28 in Beijing. The company has also opened early reservations for the upcoming flagship lineup.

The Magic 9 series is expected to be among the first smartphones powered by Qualcomm’s next-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 flagship platform based on a 2nm manufacturing process. This could make the series one of the earliest Android flagships to enter the 2nm era, with improvements expected in performance, power efficiency and on-device AI capabilities.

According to Digital Chat Station, the Magic 9 series is tipped to feature a 200-megapixel primary camera with a 1/1.28-inch sensor, an f/1.57 aperture and 3-degree optical image stabilization. It is also expected to carry a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with a 1/1.4-inch sensor and f/2.6 aperture.

Honor has partnered with German professional imaging company ARRI for the series. The collaboration is expected to bring features such as ARRI LogC3, ARRI Look and an ARRI movie mode, with the focus extending to both photography and video recording.

The Magic 9 series is expected to feature a 6.8-inch 1.5K LTPO 2.5D flat display. Other reported specifications include a large battery with a capacity expected to start with an 8, alongside fast wireless charging, 3D facial recognition and 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanning.

Finally, the lineup is expected to include at least three models, namely the Magic 9, Magic 9 Pro, and Magic 9 Pro Max.

The Honor Magic 9 series is officially set to arrive in September, and the company has already started receiving its blinders through the Honor Shop (online store) in China. The first official glimpse reveals a large circular rear camera module placed towards the upper-left corner, marking a departure from the previous generation’s centred circular camera design.

The visible design shows a premium metal frame, a refined antenna layout, and an ARRI branding mark placed around the camera module. The camera island appears inspired by professional cinema equipment, with a large circular layout housing multiple sensors. Honor is expected to bring ARRI’s color science and imaging technologies to the Magic 9 series, including ARRI LogC3, ARRI Look, and an ARRI cinema mode.

Honor previously announced a global imaging partnership with ARRI, a German cinema technology company known for its professional cameras and film-making solutions. The Magic 9 series is expected to be among the upcoming consumer devices that benefit from this collaboration.

Honor just made the wait official. After months of teasers and leaks about its robotic gimbal camera, the company took the stage today to launch the Robot Phone, and it lives up to the hype it built for itself. 

Honor Robot Phone is all about its robotic gimbal camera

You get a phone that folds a full camera rig into its body. Honor calls it a titanium alloy gimbal, which the company built from aerospace-grade titanium and shrank the whole mechanism by 65% compared to typical gimbals you’d find on a standalone camera. 

The motor driving it weighs just 2.6 grams, yet it can spin the camera at up to 360 degrees per second, so it keeps up with fast subjects, quick pans, and sudden stops without a stutter. Honor says it packed over 100 precision parts and more than 60 manufacturing processes into that tiny structure, backed by over 100 patents the company developed in-house.

The camera hardware itself is just as ambitious. You’re looking at a 200MP main sensor sitting on the gimbal, paired with a 50MP ultra-wide lens covering 122 degrees and a 200MP periscope telephoto lens with 2.7x zoom. Honor even built its own image chip for the phone, called the Driving Light H1.

The company has worked with camera manufacturer ARRI to bring professional video features to the smartphone. The Robot Phone supports ARRI LogC3 encoding and LUT color grading files.

Honor is also introducing ARRI Look for mobile imaging, which lets users apply cinematic color effects with a single tap. The more advanced ARRI Cinema Mode includes features such as false-color monitoring, focus peaking, and cinematic aspect ratios.

YOYO Pro brings AI automation to the phone

The other major part of the Robot Phone is its AI system. Honor introduced its new YOYO Pro mode that can apparently perform long and complicated tasks automatically.

According to Honor, YOYO can execute more than 100 steps consecutively from a single command. Honor has also worked with Alibaba’s Qwen large language model to develop an AI solution optimized for mobile devices.

The company is positioning YOYO Pro as more than a traditional voice assistant. It can understand the user’s situation, recognize emotional states, and learn from usage habits and the surrounding environment. Honor says this is part of its larger push toward “embodied intelligence,” where AI can interact with the physical world and perform actions on behalf of the user.

The Robot Phone also introduces a YOYO Skills Store where users can install new skills with a single click. Honor says developers and creators can also use more than 100 system resources to create their own features.

Compact display and flagship hardware

The Honor Robot Phone features a 6.31-inch flat LTPO display with a 2640 x 1216 resolution. The screen can reach a peak brightness of 6,800 nits and uses an AR reflective film.

Under the hood, the phone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. It comes with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.

The phone also uses a four-microphone array with an AI intelligent pointing algorithm. Honor says the direction of sound pickup can follow the camera’s gaze. 

The combination of the mechanical camera system, large battery, and flagship hardware makes the Robot Phone a relatively heavy smartphone at 248 grams. However, Honor says its engineering work allowed all of these components to fit into a body that is just 9.59mm thick.

Honor Robot Phone Price and Availability

The Honor Robot Phone has been launched in two configurations. The 12GB RAM and 512GB storage model costs 9,999 yuan ($1,482), while the 16GB RAM and 1TB storage model will go for CNY 12,999 ($1,927).

The phone will be available in two colors: Star Trail Silver and Moon Shadow Gray. It will officially go on sale on August 18.

For smartphone users, Honor will begin reviewing applications from August 12 to August 14, and start pushing beta updates on or before August 18.

For tablet users, the review period will be August 24 to August 25, and the beta updates will start rolling out from on or before August 28.

Honor recommends upgrading the firmware version to 10.0.0.170 to be eligible for the beta program.

Honor Robot Phone Specifications

Start with the display. Honor is using a 6.3-inch LTPO panel with a 2640 x 1216 resolution, and it’s a flat screen rather than a curved one. Its brightness will reportedly peak at 6,800 nits, and Honor might also add an AR anti-reflective film to keep the screen readable in direct sunlight.

Under the hood, you get the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, paired with a 7,060mAh battery and a 120W charging adapter in the box. That’s larger than the 6,000mAh figure that showed up in earlier leaks, so the battery capacity appears to have changed as the phone neared launch.

Honor is also using a trio of its self-developed chips in the Robot Phone. The device has a C1 chip to handle RF signal enhancement, E2 to manage power efficiency, and H1 to run the imaging pipeline for the gimbal camera. 

The main sensor is a 200MP, 1/1.28-inch unit at f/1.6 with a 23mm focal length, mounted on the gimbal arm. Next to it is a 200MP periscope telephoto with a 1/1.4-inch sensor, f/2.6 aperture, and 2.7x optical zoom.

The standard Honor Band 11 features a 1.57-inch OLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate, 256 × 402 resolution, and a new 2.5D curved glass design. Compared to its predecessor, the wearable increases its sports modes from 96 to 113 and extends the rated battery life from 14 days to 18 days with its 250mAh battery.

Honor has confirmed the full camera specifications of its upcoming Robot Phone during an imaging technology event held in Hengdian, Zhejiang. The event also marked the official unveiling of Honor’s partnership with ARRI, the German cinema equipment maker. The two companies say it brings film-industry imaging tools to a smartphone for the first time.

The Robot Phone will launch on August 12 with a triple-rear-camera system. The main sensor is a 200-megapixel unit built around a 1/1.28-inch sensor with an f/1.6 aperture, mounted on the phone’s signature three-axis gimbal. Honor pairs this with a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera.

Honor Robot Phone has a new in-house camera chip

Powering the camera is a new in-house chip called the Honor Yuguang H1, paired with a gimbal motor that Honor says weighs just 2.6 grams. The company says the motor is 65% smaller and has 35% higher torque density than typical gimbal motors on the market today. Honor further adds that the Robot Phone has over 100 patents to its name.

On the software side, Honor built a real-time image processing system that runs directly on the device. It includes tools for white balance, exposure, tone control, glare reduction, and detail enhancement across multiple cameras. Honor also added a new stabilization engine, called AIMAGE 2.0, to keep footage steady whether the user is standing still or moving.

The ARRI partnership adds Log-C video encoding and LUT color grading files directly to the phone. Photographers can also lock focus, white balance, and exposure settings and transfer camera movement data the way directors do on film sets.

Honor has finally confirmed the launch date for its anticipated Honor Robot Phone. The company will release the phone — developed jointly with German camera maker ARRI — on August 12. It’s marketing the phone as the world’s first “robot phone.”

The company has already opened pre-orders on its official website. Buyers who want early access must pay a 500 yuan deposit. Paying the deposit only unlocks a special purchase channel; it does not guarantee that a buyer can secure the phone or lock in a specific color or storage option. 

Once the order confirmation period opens, deposit holders can choose their preferred version. After Honor confirms an order, buyers must pay the remaining balance within 24 hours. Since supply is limited, Honor will fill orders in the sequence that buyers complete their payments.

Honor will sell the phone in two colors, Star Trail Silver and Moon Shadow Gray, and two storage configurations: 12GB+512GB and 16GB+1TB.

What makes Honor Robot Phone Special?

The phone’s standout feature is a mechanical gimbal built into the top of the device. This four-degree-of-freedom titanium arm uses small motors and takes up 70% less space than typical gimbal designs. 

Users can tuck the arm away for everyday use, then pop it out with one tap for photography. Once deployed, it can rotate a full 360 degrees, track a subject automatically, and adjust framing on its own. Honor rates its stabilization at CIPA 5.5, which should let users shoot steady vlog-style footage without a separate handheld stabilizer.

On the camera side, the phone carries three rear lenses: a 200MP main sensor with an f/1.6 aperture mounted on the gimbal, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 200MP periscope zoom lens. Honor partnered with ARRI to bring Log-C color profiles and cinematic LUTs to the camera app, along with manual controls like focus lock and white balance lock for creators who edit their footage afterward.

The phone will run on a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip and could also be the first device to carry the core of Honor’s new AgenticOS system.

Honor has quietly opened pre-orders today for the Honor Band 11 series across both online and offline sales channels in China. The lineup includes three models: the Honor Band 11, the Honor Band 11 Pro, and the Honor Band 11 Pro GPS Edition.

The Honor Band 11 Pro GPS Edition is a first for the series. It is the first Honor Band model to include an independent GPS chip. This lets users record their running, cycling, or other outdoor routes and track exercise data without carrying a phone.

All three models add a dedicated badminton mode and sleep health tracking. Battery life differs by model. The standard Honor Band 11 lasts up to 18 days on a single charge. The Pro series, which covers both the Pro and Pro GPS models, extends that to up to 26 days.

As for the color options, the standard Honor Band 11 comes in Sea Salt White, Taro Purple, and Caviar. The Pro series, including the GPS version, comes in Almond White, Cocoa Black, and Avocado.

The Honor Band 11 series succeeds last year’s Honor Band 10, which came in standard and NFC versions. The Band 11 series builds on the visual design of Band 10, which also features a 1.57-inch AMOLED display at 256×402 resolution, a body just 8.99mm thick, a weight of about 22.1 grams with the strap, and quick-release strap swaps.

The Band 10 also introduced the Honor Heart Health Research feature that combines several heart monitoring signals to flag possible atrial fibrillation, irregular heartbeats, premature beats, and abnormal heart rates. It can also screen for signs of sleep apnea risk. 

On the fitness side, it supports 96 sports modes in total, made up of 11 professional modes such as outdoor and indoor running, outdoor cycling, pool swimming, rope skipping, elliptical training, and rowing, along with 85 customizable modes.

Honor’s Robot Phone has been in the news for months — a new leak now adds another chapter to that coverage. A leaked unboxing video has surfaced online on the Chinese social media platform Weibo, showing the box contents before launch. 

Honor recently opened reservations for the phone while confirming several hardware details. The reservation announcement followed a string of developments that hinted at a launch soon. The device also recently cleared MIIT and 3C certification in China, and a separate specifications leak detailed the display and chipset ahead of the reveal. 

Honor Robot Phone Unboxing

The new unboxing video adds packaging detail to all of this. In the footage, the phone sits on the left side of the box, while the right side carries the slogan “Your First Robot Phone.”

The back of the phone carries a large rectangular camera module, as you may have seen many times by now. The secondary camera and flash sit on the right, while the main camera with its robotic arm gimbal is on the left. Apparently, sliding the lens cover triggers the arm to unfold automatically in 0.8 seconds. You can also see a custom animation on screen the moment the arm extends.

When folded away, the arm sits flush with the body and doesn’t interfere with normal grip. Deployed, it handles 360-degree rotation tracking, automatic composition, and subject tracking. 

As for stabilization, the device has a combination of three-axis optical stabilization, the 4DoF gimbal, a dedicated coprocessor, and AI algorithms, reaching CIPA 5.5-level performance.

Honor previously showed off the camera’s real-world output at the Shanghai International Film Festival, where the Robot Phone captured cinematic portraits of festival jury members. With the unboxing leak now circulating and preorders already open, the August launch looks close to confirmed.

Design and Appearance

The HONOR Watch 6 goes with a classic round watch face, roughly 46mm across. The bezel is metal with a dark gunmetal or black finish, and it’s got those dive-watch style numbers around the watch.

The screen is a 1.46-inch AMOLED panel at 464×464 resolution, so you get those deep blacks and punchy colors you’d expect from this type of display. On the right side there’s a single crown with some texture for grip—you can twist it and press it to navigate around the interface.

Size-wise, it’s pretty much what you’d expect from a modern smartwatch. Not super thin, not chunky either. The overall look is more sporty than dressy, which makes sense given the fitness tracking angle. The design plays it safe—round case, metal bezel, rubber strap. Since this is a review unit, I don’t know if there will be more straps to go with it.

Materials and Build Quality

I don’t know the material of the case, might be stainless steel or something similar based on the finish and machining quality. That circular sensor module at the back are arranged in the typical pattern for optical heart rate tracking.

Water resistance is rated at 5ATM plus IP69, which means you’re good for swimming down to 50 meters and it can handle high-pressure water jets and dust. That’s solid for anyone who swims or gets caught in rough weather. The IP69 part is actually worth noting since it covers high-pressure, high-temperature water jets—not just casual splashes. So if you’re the type who rinses off gear after a workout, this watch can take that kind of abuse.

Hardware and Specs

Bluetooth 5.4 handles the wireless side, which is the current standard and should give decent battery efficiency and stable connections. There’s a built-in speaker and mic, meaning you can take calls and use voice assistants when paired with your phone. The built-in GPS covers the basics—running, cycling, walking—with route tracking that doesn’t need your phone. Having multiple satellite systems helps with accuracy when the signal gets tricky, like downtown or in the woods, it’s genuinely useful if you do outdoor workouts.

There’s AI-powered workout assistance baked in, and the watch face already shows step count as part of the daily tracking. The AI part likely means automatic workout detection—so if you start running, the watch figures it out rather than making you manually start a session. How well that works in practice varies by activity type and individual movement patterns. The 5ATM rating means swimming is fair game too, though the images don’t show any pool-specific metrics on the display.

Health Monitoring

The back of the watch runs optical heart rate monitoring through PPG sensors. It tracks continuously or on-demand depending on your settings. SpO2 tracking uses the same hardware, shining red and infrared light to measure blood oxygen levels.

Stress monitoring works off heart rate variability, basically looking at how your heart rate bounces around to estimate your stress levels. Sleep tracking combines movement data from the accelerometer with HRV readings to guess at sleep stages—light, deep, REM, awake. Just keep in mind that all this optical stuff depends on how well the watch sits on your wrist and how tight you wear it. Too loose and the sensors lose contact; too tight and it’s uncomfortable for sleep. Finding that sweet spot takes some trial and error.

The health data gets fed into HONOR Health app or integration with third-party platforms. How useful all this data actually is depends on what you do with it. Having 30 days of heart rate graphs is neat, but if you’re not acting on the insights, it becomes background noise.

Battery and Charging

HONOR claims up to 35 days of battery life. This has to be the best battery life among all the smart watch category. I honestly don’t know how they achieve that, but give that HONOR has invested a lot of time into the battery tech, it is believable in my opinion. In real-world use with notifications, regular tracking, and maybe a couple GPS workouts per week, expect way less than that max number.

Charging is through the magnetic pin dock. It’s not as convenient as wireless Qi, but it’s reliable and usually charges faster. When charging, I think it is fairly fast.

Wrap-Up

The HONOR Watch 6 sits in that mid-to-premium zone with specs that match what else is out there right now. The AMOLED screen is nice, multi-satellite GPS is genuinely useful for outdoor types, and the health sensor array covers the usual bases without getting into medical-grade territory. That 35-day battery claim is impressive, we will see if it lives to the words.

The water resistance is legit for swimming, and the added NFC, speaker, and mic push it beyond just a fitness tracker into smartwatch territory. How well the smart features actually work day-to-day will depend on the software and what services are available where you live. It’s a competent package that doesn’t try to reinvent anything—just executes the standard smartwatch formula with decent hardware, and a round face that looks more like a traditional watch than a tech gadget.
