<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/huawei/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Huawei</a> has unveiled its latest iteration of the MateBook X Pro laptop at its &#8220;Hongmeng Eco Spring Communication Conference&#8221; held in China. The new iteration focuses on a thin and light design, powerful performance, and innovative features. Let’s go through the details in this article.&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>Huawei MateBook X Pro Specifications</strong></h2>

<p>The new MateBook X Pro boasts a remarkably lightweight design, tipping the scales at just 980 grams. This makes it lighter than even the 13.6-inch Apple MacBook Air.&nbsp;</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="401" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Huawei-MateBook-X-Pro-Deisgn.jpg?x10805" alt="" class="wp-image-618043" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Huawei-MateBook-X-Pro-Deisgn.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Huawei-MateBook-X-Pro-Deisgn-300x134.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Huawei-MateBook-X-Pro-Deisgn-768x342.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Huawei-MateBook-X-Pro-Deisgn-696x310.jpg 696w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure>

<p>The chassis is constructed with aviation-grade magnesium alloy for durability while maintaining a sleek profile. Huawei also touts the use of a new &#8220;Cloud Falcon architecture&#8221; alongside the industry-first &#8220;diamond aluminum material&#8221; for achieving this balance of weight.</p>

<p>The MateBook X Pro packs a punch in terms of performance too. It is equipped with up to the latest Core Ultra 9 processor, capable of delivering up to 40W of performance.&nbsp;</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="445" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Huawei-MateBook-X-Pro.jpg?x10805" alt="" class="wp-image-618044" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Huawei-MateBook-X-Pro.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Huawei-MateBook-X-Pro-300x148.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Huawei-MateBook-X-Pro-768x380.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Huawei-MateBook-X-Pro-696x344.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Huawei-MateBook-X-Pro-849x420.jpg 849w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Huawei-MateBook-X-Pro-324x160.jpg 324w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<p>This, according to Huawei, surpasses the Apple MacBook Pro 14 in performance while maintaining a lighter weight. Huawei MateBook X Pro is also currently the only laptop within the 1-kilogram weight range to boast a Core Ultra 9 processor.</p>

<p>For connectivity, the MateBook X Pro comes with what Huawei says is the first-ever 3D three-dimensional metamaterial antenna. The technology promises network speeds 40% to 50% faster than those offered by the Apple MacBook Pro 14.</p>

<p>In the audio department, Huawei has introduced a new &#8220;smart sound screen technology”, which allegedly offers a 200% improvement in word accuracy, 230% better noise suppression, and the ability to isolate the speaker&#8217;s voice directly in front of the laptop. The laptop features a 6-speaker sound system.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="340" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Huawei-MateBook-X-Pro-2024-Display.jpg?x10805" alt="" class="wp-image-618045" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Huawei-MateBook-X-Pro-2024-Display.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Huawei-MateBook-X-Pro-2024-Display-300x113.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Huawei-MateBook-X-Pro-2024-Display-768x290.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Huawei-MateBook-X-Pro-2024-Display-696x263.jpg 696w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<p>The display on the MateBook X Pro is a 14.2-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 3120&#215;2080 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. It has a high contrast ratio of 1 million:1, a significant reduction in screen reflection (70%), and an impressive screen-to-body ratio of 93%. Peak brightness is rated at 1000 nits.</p>

<p>This iteration of the MateBook X Pro marks the first time a Huawei laptop integrates the company&#8217;s Pangu large language model. It allows for AI-powered features like text summarization across various applications.&nbsp;</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="508" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Huawei-MateBook-X-Pro-2024-AI-Features.jpg?x10805" alt="" class="wp-image-618046" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Huawei-MateBook-X-Pro-2024-AI-Features.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Huawei-MateBook-X-Pro-2024-AI-Features-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Huawei-MateBook-X-Pro-2024-AI-Features-768x433.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Huawei-MateBook-X-Pro-2024-AI-Features-696x393.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Huawei-MateBook-X-Pro-2024-AI-Features-744x420.jpg 744w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<p>Additionally, Huawei has collaborated with other AI platforms like WPS AI, Wen Xinyiyan, and iFlytek Spark to offer a more comprehensive AI experience for users. The laptop supports 140W charging with Huawei&#8217;s Turbo charging standard.</p>

<h2><strong>Pricing and Availability</strong></h2>

<p>Pricing for the Huawei MateBook X Pro starts at 11,199 yuan (approximately $1547) for the base model with a Core Ultra7 processor, 16GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage.&nbsp;</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Huawei-MateBook-X-Pro-Launched.jpg?x10805" alt="" class="wp-image-618042" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Huawei-MateBook-X-Pro-Launched.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Huawei-MateBook-X-Pro-Launched-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Huawei-MateBook-X-Pro-Launched-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Huawei-MateBook-X-Pro-Launched-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Huawei-MateBook-X-Pro-Launched-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<p>Rumors are swirling about the integration of <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/huawei/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Huawei</a>&#8216;s StarLight (or NearLink) technology in its upcoming Huawei MateBook X Pro. This move promises to improve the user experience by offering lightning-fast wireless communication capabilities between StarLight-compatible devices such as the Huawei <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/11/08/huawei-freebuds-pro-3-review-still-leading-the-kind/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">FreeBuds Pro 3</a>.</p>

<h2>Huawei says its StarLight tech offers 6 times faster transfer speeds while consuming less power</h2>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="600" height="432" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/2194322.jpg?x10805" alt="" class="wp-image-605974" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/2194322.jpg 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/2194322-300x216.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/2194322-583x420.jpg 583w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></figure></div>

<p>StarLight technology, also known as NearLink, boasts significantly faster data transfer speeds and ultra-low latency compared to traditional near-field wireless communication systems. Huawei says that StarLight consumes 60% less power while offering <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/08/10/huawei-nearlink-announced/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">6 times the transfer speed</a> as compared to the traditional systems. If these speculations hold true, Huawei could be on the brink of setting a new standard for connectivity in the laptop market. StarLight is tailor-made for applications requiring high-speed data transfer and minimal delay, such as augmented reality and virtual reality.</p>

<p>The potential inclusion of StarLight technology in the Huawei MateBook X Pro represents a significant leap forward in wireless connectivity for its laptops. Currently, only a select few Huawei devices, including the immensely popular <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/huawei-mate-60/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Huawei Mate60</a> series and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/huawei-matepad-pro-13-2/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">MatePad Pro 13.2</a>, support StarLight technology. If Huawei expands this capability to its MateBook lineup, users can expect a more seamless and efficient wireless experience within the ecosystem, whether they&#8217;re transferring files, streaming media, or engaging in interactive content.</p>

<p>The move comes amidst a shifting landscape in the personal computer market, particularly in mainland China. Despite a 16% year-on-year decline in shipments of personal computers in mainland China during the third quarter of 2023, Huawei has emerged as the third largest laptop manufacturer in terms of market share. With sales surpassing industry stalwarts like <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/dell/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Dell</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/asus/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Asus</a>, Huawei&#8217;s strategic positioning underscores its commitment to innovation and meeting evolving consumer demands.</p>

<p>As Canalys predicts a modest 4% growth in personal computer sales in mainland China for 2024, Huawei appears poised to capitalize on this momentum with its forward-thinking approach to technology integration.</p>

The same model was <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/04/11/huawei-matebook-x-pro-2019-and-matebook-14-get-china-launch/">launched in China</a> last month.</p>
<p>In China, the Huawei Mate X Pro went on sale from 17th April but it was available in only two color options &#8212; Deep Gray, Moon Silver. Today, the company has finally launched the Pink Gold color option, which is aimed towards the female buyers.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-252573 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Huawei-MateBook-X-Pro-Pink-Gold.jpg?x10805" alt="Huawei MateBook X Pro Pink Gold" width="690" height="1227" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Huawei-MateBook-X-Pro-Pink-Gold.jpg 690w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Huawei-MateBook-X-Pro-Pink-Gold-169x300.jpg 169w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Huawei-MateBook-X-Pro-Pink-Gold-576x1024.jpg 576w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Huawei-MateBook-X-Pro-Pink-Gold-236x420.jpg 236w" sizes="(max-width: 690px) 100vw, 690px" /></p>
<p>While the laptop comes in four variants based on chipset and memory configuration, only one variant is currently available for purchase in China &#8212; Core i5 8GB RAM + 512GB + Nvidia MX250. It is priced at 8,999 yuan which roughly converts to $1,320.</p>
<p>In terms of design, the new MateBook X Pro is similar to its predecessor. It comes with a CNC machined metallic unibody with a premium sandblasted finish. The Huawei MateBook X Pro features a 13.9-inch LTPS Ultra FullView touch screen with 3.2 aspect ratio and 3K (3000 x 2000 pixels) screen resolution.</p>
<p>Under the hood, it packs up to 8th-generation <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/intel/">Intel</a> Core i7-8565U and Nvidia GeForce MX250 GPU. For cooling, the device houses an intelligent system that switches between active and passive modes for silent cooling performance, while the two Huawei “Shark Fin Fans 2.0” feature larger fins to produce a higher air output.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-247832 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/matebook-x-pro-2019-main.jpg?x10805" alt="huawei matebook x pro 2019" width="750" height="515" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/matebook-x-pro-2019-main.jpg 750w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/matebook-x-pro-2019-main-300x206.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/matebook-x-pro-2019-main-100x70.jpg 100w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/matebook-x-pro-2019-main-218x150.jpg 218w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/matebook-x-pro-2019-main-696x478.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/matebook-x-pro-2019-main-612x420.jpg 612w" sizes="(max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px" /></p>
<p>It also retains the fingerprint scanner which is built into the power button and the pop-up webcam nestled between the keys. Another new feature is the Huawei Share 3.0 One Touch feature that allows you to easily transfer files between your phone and PC.</p>
<p>As for connectivity support, the device comes with Bluetooth 5.0 and an upgraded dual antenna for faster and more stable wireless connections. It packs four speakers (two tweeters + two woofers) with Dolby Atmos sound and comes with two USB Type-C ports, one USB Type-A port, and new Thunderbolt 3 port.</p>

In this year, Huawei released the latest laptop, called Huawei MateBook X Pro (2019) which is the update of the previous. Next, we will check out the new laptop.</p>
<p>In the design, there is not much difference between the previous laptop and the latest generation. If I have to say the biggest difference, it is that the graphic logo is removed, and there is only the word mark of HUAWEI.</p>
<p>
<a href='https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/04/09/huawei-matebook-x-pro-review-a-laptop-from-a-phone-manufacturer/huawei-matebook-x-pro-1/'><img width="720" height="480" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/huawei-matebook-x-pro-1.jpg?x10805" class="attachment-full size-full" alt="" loading="lazy" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/huawei-matebook-x-pro-1.jpg 720w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/huawei-matebook-x-pro-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/huawei-matebook-x-pro-1-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/huawei-matebook-x-pro-1-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px" /></a>
</p>
<p>
<a href='https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/04/09/huawei-matebook-x-pro-review-a-laptop-from-a-phone-manufacturer/huawei-matebook-x-pro-2/'><img width="720" height="480" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/huawei-matebook-x-pro-2.jpg?x10805" class="attachment-full size-full" alt="" loading="lazy" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/huawei-matebook-x-pro-2.jpg 720w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/huawei-matebook-x-pro-2-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/huawei-matebook-x-pro-2-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/huawei-matebook-x-pro-2-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px" /></a>
</p>
<p>The Huawei MateBook X Pro 2019 adopts the premium metal cuniform design. Therefore, the thickness of the both sides of the laptop is different, the thickest part is 14.6mm and the thinnest part is 4.9mm.</p>
<p>
<a href='https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/04/09/huawei-matebook-x-pro-review-a-laptop-from-a-phone-manufacturer/huawei-matebook-x-pro-3/'><img width="720" height="480" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/huawei-matebook-x-pro-3.jpg?x10805" class="attachment-full size-full" alt="Huawei MateBook X Pro" loading="lazy" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/huawei-matebook-x-pro-3.jpg 720w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/huawei-matebook-x-pro-3-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/huawei-matebook-x-pro-3-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/huawei-matebook-x-pro-3-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px" /></a>
</p>
<p>The weight of 1.33kg and the thickness of 1.46cm are straight and narrow, which is as same as MacBook Pro (2018). In other words, although the Huawei MateBook X Pro 2019 is easy to take out, it’s not exactly light.</p>
<p>
<a href='https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/04/09/huawei-matebook-x-pro-review-a-laptop-from-a-phone-manufacturer/huawei-matebook-x-pro-4/'><img width="720" height="480" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/huawei-matebook-x-pro-4.jpg?x10805" class="attachment-full size-full" alt="" loading="lazy" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/huawei-matebook-x-pro-4.jpg 720w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/huawei-matebook-x-pro-4-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/huawei-matebook-x-pro-4-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/huawei-matebook-x-pro-4-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px" /></a>
</p>
<p>The two footpads which are close to the rotating axle is a little taller than the others, which is the considerate idea of Huawei. Because of this idea, when you put the Huawei MateBook X Pro 2019 on the flat table, the laptop should be slant, but the angle of inclination is not obvious, which is to improve heat dissipation efficiency and optimize your posture. But the angle of inclination is not obvious. Overall, it is a good idea.</p>

<p>On the left side, MateBook X Pro 2019 comes with two USB-C ports and a 3.5mm audio interface. One of the USB-C port ships with the thunder logo supporting Thunderbolt 3 transmission which is up to 40Gbps. The interval of two USB-C ports is different from MacBook Pro, so the dual USB-C port expansion dock cannot compatible with both laptops.</p>

<a href='https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/04/09/huawei-matebook-x-pro-review-a-laptop-from-a-phone-manufacturer/huawei-matebook-x-pro-6/'><img width="720" height="480" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/huawei-matebook-x-pro-6.jpg?x10805" class="attachment-full size-full" alt="" loading="lazy" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/huawei-matebook-x-pro-6.jpg 720w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/huawei-matebook-x-pro-6-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/huawei-matebook-x-pro-6-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/huawei-matebook-x-pro-6-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px" /></a>
</p>
<p>Huawei MateBook X Pro 2019 still keeps an USB-A port (USB 3.0) on the right side is great, it is convenient for users who want to connect the external device with USB-A, such as USB flash disk, Bluetooth keymouse receiver, data line, card reader and so on. Although some of these external devices have USB-C ports, a lot of them still keep USB-A port. I do think the way of keeping USB-A port is right.</p>

<p>The power key which is placed on the keyboard pad, comes with capacitive fingerprint recognition function carrying support Windows Hello fingerprint recognition. You can press the power key to turn on the laptop, and when you enter password, you can also enhance security with fingerprint verification.</p>

</p>
<p>The keyboard of Huawei MateBook X Pro 2019 has a moderate key range and soft touch feeling. The trackpad is also large and supports Windows trackpad gestures. It’s a pity that the trackpad comes with the physical pressure, so there is a gap with Force Touch of MacBook Pro.</p>
<p>
<a href='https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/04/09/huawei-matebook-x-pro-review-a-laptop-from-a-phone-manufacturer/huawei-matebook-x-pro-9/'><img width="720" height="480" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/huawei-matebook-x-pro-9.jpg?x10805" class="attachment-full size-full" alt="" loading="lazy" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/huawei-matebook-x-pro-9.jpg 720w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/huawei-matebook-x-pro-9-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/huawei-matebook-x-pro-9-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/huawei-matebook-x-pro-9-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px" /></a>
</p>
<p>Just as smartphones struggle to make a true full-screen display, the MateBook X Pro 2019 also needs to think about how to place the screen components, especially the laptop’s standard front-facing camera. Huawei makes a new innovative thinking, which sets a pop-up camera hiding between F6 and F7 key.</p>
<p>
<a href='https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/04/09/huawei-matebook-x-pro-review-a-laptop-from-a-phone-manufacturer/huawei-matebook-x-pro-10/'><img width="720" height="480" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/huawei-matebook-x-pro-10.jpg?x10805" class="attachment-full size-full" alt="" loading="lazy" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/huawei-matebook-x-pro-10.jpg 720w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/huawei-matebook-x-pro-10-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/huawei-matebook-x-pro-10-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/huawei-matebook-x-pro-10-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px" /></a>
</p>
<p>The unusual position means that the performance of the camera is not so good. As the position and the angle issue, the photos are always low-angle shot. However, it can make sure the personal privacy security when it is hid in the keyboard. Actually, the use frequency of laptop’s front-facing camera is generally low, so the unusual design is for better more than for worse.</p>

<p>The latest Huawei MateBook X Pro comes with 8th Generation Intel Core i7-8550U processor (or i5-8250U processor) and NVIDIA GeForce MX150 with 2GB GDDR5.</p>

</p>
<p>In particular, the Thunderbolt 3 port upgrade to 4 x PCIE means that the MateBook X Pro will be more scalable, so there is not a problem to connect two large high-resolution screens in daily use. It can be switched between a desktop and an ultraportable laptop with a MateDock.</p>

</p>
<p>As one of the symbolic elements of MateBook X Pro, the 13.9-inch touchscreen comes with the narrow bezels design. The bezels width of the top is the same with the two sides, and the bottom bezel is narrow, the screen-to-body ration is up to 91%. In the kind of narrow bezel notebook, the MateBook X Pro is also the top level.</p>

<p>In order to make the high screen-to-body ratio comes true, Huawei moves the PCB from the bottom of the screen to the bottom of the keyboard.</p>

<p>The MateBook X Pro 2019 comes with LTPS LCD panel which supports 100% sRGB color gamut, and the maximum brightness can reach 450 nits. The great screen can meet the needs of graphic design and other artistic creation.</p>

</p>
<p>On the other hand, the MateBook X Pro hosts 3:2 aspect ratios, having the resolution of 3000 x 2000 pixels. Compared with traditional 16:9 aspect ratios, the available screen of MateBook X Pro is increased, so we can read more in the screen. This advantage in the application of split state will be more obvious.</p>

<p>Last week, Richard Yu repeatedly mentioned that EMUI 9 can support HUAWEI Share on the Huawei P30 launch event. What’s the HUAWEI Share?</p>
<p>There’s a sticker of HUAWEI Share beside the MateBook X Pro’s trackpad, and actually, there’s a NFC module under the sticker which can connect with the Huawei Smartphone coming with NFC function when you put the phone on the sticker. After the laptop and smartphone connecting successfully, the two devices can transfer files directly.</p>

<p>After the initial connection, the computer housekeeper software which build-in MateBook X Pro should display the connection status of the mobile phone. Before unbinding, the laptop will automatically connect to the handset when it shuts down and starts again, and the automatic connection between the two devices will always be maintained.</p>

<p>The file transfer between laptop and smartphone is the basic function of HUAWEI Share. The devices can transfer the files through WiFi, which can transmit 500 files maximum at the same time and a single transmission rate is about 30mb/s.</p>

</p>
<p>After electing the files, you can send it to the laptop through HUAWEI Share, or send it by putting the phone to touch the NFC module. On the contrary, when you right-click the file, you can choose the HUAWEI Share, and then you can get the file sending by the laptop.</p>
<p>
<a href='https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/04/09/huawei-matebook-x-pro-review-a-laptop-from-a-phone-manufacturer/huawei-matebook-x-pro-24/'><img width="176" height="98" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/huawei-matebook-x-pro-24.gif?x10805" class="attachment-full size-full" alt="" loading="lazy" /></a>

</p>
<p>Expect for the files transfer, the biggest demand for interconnection between laptops and mobile phones is the sharing of hotspots on the internet.</p>
<p>After clicking on the “one-click hotspots” on the laptop, the wireless hotspots of mobile phone will be automatically waken up, and the laptop will connect to the hotspots without entering a password.</p>
<p>
<a href='https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/04/09/huawei-matebook-x-pro-review-a-laptop-from-a-phone-manufacturer/huawei-matebook-x-pro-26/'><img width="720" height="480" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/huawei-matebook-x-pro-26.jpg?x10805" class="attachment-full size-full" alt="" loading="lazy" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/huawei-matebook-x-pro-26.jpg 720w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/huawei-matebook-x-pro-26-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/huawei-matebook-x-pro-26-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/huawei-matebook-x-pro-26-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px" /></a>
</p>
<p>In addition, HUAWEI Share will also share recent documents and clips of mobile phones and laptops, even the copied text on phones and documents opened in WeChat, which can be viewed and used on laptops.</p>
<p>
<a href='https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/04/09/huawei-matebook-x-pro-review-a-laptop-from-a-phone-manufacturer/huawei-matebook-x-pro-27/'><img width="720" height="480" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/huawei-matebook-x-pro-27.jpg?x10805" class="attachment-full size-full" alt="" loading="lazy" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/huawei-matebook-x-pro-27.jpg 720w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/huawei-matebook-x-pro-27-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/huawei-matebook-x-pro-27-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/huawei-matebook-x-pro-27-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px" /></a>
</p>
<p>Compared with AirDrop, connection between iOS and macOS, HUAWEI Share is based on the interconnection between Android and Microsoft. With the support of NFC, HUAWEI Share has left a deep impression on ease of use and matching speed.</p>
<p>I have used the Huawei MateBook X Pro 2019 in a week, and it has performed well. Although Huawei is a new manufacturer in the traditional PC industry, it’s hard to find a whiff of immature from MateBook X Pro.</p>
<p>
<a href='https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/04/09/huawei-matebook-x-pro-review-a-laptop-from-a-phone-manufacturer/huawei-matebook-x-pro-28/'><img width="720" height="480" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/huawei-matebook-x-pro-28.jpg?x10805" class="attachment-full size-full" alt="" loading="lazy" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/huawei-matebook-x-pro-28.jpg 720w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/huawei-matebook-x-pro-28-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/huawei-matebook-x-pro-28-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/huawei-matebook-x-pro-28-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px" /></a>
</p>
<p>On the other hand, making a laptop with the idea of making a mobile phone can bring many different features to the product. Compared with the traditional laptop, the touch screen of Huawei MateBook X Pro and HUAWEI Share can bring freshness.</p>
<p>Connecting and interworking with mobile phones, and close the distance between mobile phones and laptops will be the biggest reason for consumers to consider buying the MateBook X Pro. The strategy to enhance user’s experience should be a thing that Huawei will continue to do in the future.</p>
