It&#8217;s good news for the Mi Max 3 owners, as they can now expect the stable update of the same in the next coming days or weeks. Usually, it takes a few weeks to test the beta build and refine it into the stable OS experience. This newly launched Xiaomi device is among a few products which are receiving Android 9.0 Pie update in China.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/xiaomi-mi-mix-3-3.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-219179" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/xiaomi-mi-mix-3-3-1024x342.jpg?x44794" alt="" width="640" height="214" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/xiaomi-mi-mix-3-3-1024x342.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/xiaomi-mi-mix-3-3-300x100.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/xiaomi-mi-mix-3-3-768x257.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/xiaomi-mi-mix-3-3.jpg 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px" /></a></p>
<p>Xiaomi Mi Max 3 beta users opted for the update in late October. Now, the update has started to roll out on the devices of the registered users. The latest update brings various new features along with usual bug fixes and performance tweaks. It will also improve the functionality of the device by incorporating new enhancements. Mainly, Xiaomi Mi Max 3 users will get features such as full-screen gestures, Digital wellbeing, new notification options, new sounds and much more.</p>
<p>In order to successfully update the to the beta build, make sure to install the latest stable update via OTA before flashing the beta upgrade. Even, you need to uninstall Google Play app before flashing the new ROM. After successful installation, users can again reinstall the Google Play app. If you don&#8217;t follow these precautions, then your device can get stuck into the boot loop due to bad bugs.</p>
<p>It will take some weeks to reach the final stable version of the ROM. Right now, the beta build appears to be unstable with several bugs, and we hope in the future alterations Xiaomi will rectify them soon.</p>

After <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/07/18/xiaomi-mi-max-3-specifications-confirmed-by-xiaomi-president-lin-bin/">today&#8217;s official confirmation from the company</a>, we now know for sure that the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-mi-max-3">Mi Max 3</a> will feature a monstrous 6.9-inch display that should cater to your gaming and entertainment needs. But the Mi Max series is not just known for its huge displays, it&#8217;s also famous for its extravagant battery capacities. The Mi Max 3 is no exception with the company confirming that it will come with a<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/07/16/xiaomi-mi-max-3-teaser-video-reveals-front-design-battery-prowess/"> massive 5500mAh battery to ensure that the phone&#8217;s large screen is powered for a very long time</a>!</p>
<p>Almost everything about the phone is known via official teasers, leaks, and rumours. Hence, it&#8217;s time for a Mi Max 3 specs rumour roundup article to <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/07/12/xiaomi-mi-max-3s-launch-date-is-july-19/">see what&#8217;s in store for us on July 19.</a></p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/mi-max-3-render-2.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-201629" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/mi-max-3-render-2.jpg?x44794" alt="mi-max-3-render-2" width="720" height="360" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/mi-max-3-render-2.jpg 720w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/mi-max-3-render-2-300x150.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px" /></a></p>
<p>Gone are the days when companies used to protect their upcoming smartphones to ensure there&#8217;s enough excitement during the launch event. Now, there&#8217;s a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/03/16/oppo-r15-camera-specs-confirmed-new-gen-sony-imx519-sensor-1-22um-pixel-size-more/">growing trend among smartphone makers to reveal almost everything</a> about the device before it goes official. The same is applicable with the Mi Max 3 as well. Xiaomi has already shown us its design, specs, and teased a few features giving us a clear picture of the handset.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h3>Xiaomi Mi Max 3 Design</h3>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/mi-max-3-render-1.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-201627" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/mi-max-3-render-1.jpg?x44794" alt="Xiaomi Mi Max 3 Render" width="690" height="345" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/mi-max-3-render-1.jpg 690w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/mi-max-3-render-1-300x150.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 690px) 100vw, 690px" /></a></p>
<p>Apart from the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-mi-mix-2s/">Mi Mix series</a>, rest of Xiaomi&#8217;s smartphones have featured standard designs. In case of the Mi Max 3, Xiaomi is adopting the exact same design as the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-mi-6x-mi-a2/">Mi 6X</a>. This means that you get a top left placed dual camera setup with flash in between, center placed fingerprint sensor at the back, and up front, thin bezels on the top and the bottom. In short, consider the Mi Max 3 as an enlarged version of the Mi 6X.</p>
<p>There are <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/07/17/xiaomi-mi-max-3-official-renders/">three color options confirmed on the Mi Max 3</a> namely black, blue, and gold.</p>

<h3></h3>
<h3>Xiaomi Mi Max 3 Specs</h3>
<p>Apart <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/?s=mi+max+3&amp;post_type=post">from one leak a few weeks back</a>, there hasn&#8217;t been much information about the rumoured<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-mi-max-3-pro/"><strong> Mi Max 3 Pro</strong></a> version with Snapdragon 710 inside. It&#8217;s quite possible that there is just one processor version of the Mi Max 3 with Snapdragon 636 inside. This particular model has been detailed<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/07/18/xiaomi-mi-max-3-specifications-confirmed-by-xiaomi-president-lin-bin/"> in the most recent teaser revealed by the company president Lin Bin</a>, thereby confirming its key specs.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/XIaomi-Mi-Max-3-Specs-Officially-Confirmed.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-201791" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/XIaomi-Mi-Max-3-Specs-Officially-Confirmed.jpg?x44794" alt="" width="600" height="300" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/XIaomi-Mi-Max-3-Specs-Officially-Confirmed.jpg 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/XIaomi-Mi-Max-3-Specs-Officially-Confirmed-300x150.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></a></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">So, the confirmed Mi Max 3 specs are as follows:</span></strong></p>
<ul>
<li>6.9-inch FHD+ 18:9 Display</li>
<li>Snapdragon 636</li>
<li>4+64 storage</li>
<li>6+128 storage</li>
<li>12+5MP rear cameras</li>
<li>8MP front camera</li>
<li>5500mAh battery</li>
</ul>
<p>There are a bunch of other AI enabled features as well like Face Unlock, Single Camera bokeh, AI scene recognition, Voice assistant etc.</p>
<p>Note that the Mi Max 3 has already passed multiple certifications websites like <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/06/20/xiaomi-mi-max-3-tenaa-images-reveal-its-design-from-all-sides/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">TENAA</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">, </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/07/03/xiaomis-mi-max-3-not-pro-gets-certified-in-taiwan/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">NCC (Taiwan</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">), and </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/07/13/xiaomi-mi-max-3-and-pocophone-appear-among-5-xiaomi-phones-certified-by-eec-it-will-come-in-europe/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">EEC (Eurasian</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">). Further, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/07/04/xiaomi-mi-max-3-cases-reveal-updated-design-with-vertical-dual-camera/">according to these case renders</a>, the phablet will feature an IR port as well. Recently, Xiaomi seems to have skipped this <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/06/17/xiaomi-removes-key-feature-from-redmi-6-and-redmi-6a/">particular feature from some of its recent smartphones</a>, so it&#8217;s worth mentioning that the Mi Max 3 is likely going have it. </span></p>
<h3></h3>
<h3>Xiaomi Mi Max 3 Price</h3>
<p>While Xiaomi is yet to officially announce a price tag for the Mi Max 3, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/07/18/xiaomi-mi-max-3-specifications-confirmed-by-xiaomi-president-lin-bin/">it has confirmed that it will be under 2000 Yuan (~$300)</a>. This is likely for the highest end model, i.e. 6GB+128GB edition, which would be a pretty good deal!</p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/Xiaom-Mi-Max-3-pricing-teaser.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-201808" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/Xiaom-Mi-Max-3-pricing-teaser-576x1024.jpg?x44794" alt="Xiaom Mi Max 3 pricing teaser" width="576" height="1024" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/Xiaom-Mi-Max-3-pricing-teaser-576x1024.jpg 576w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/Xiaom-Mi-Max-3-pricing-teaser-169x300.jpg 169w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/Xiaom-Mi-Max-3-pricing-teaser.jpg 507w" sizes="(max-width: 576px) 100vw, 576px" /></a></p>
<p>To recall, the<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-mi-max-2/"> Xiaomi Mi Max 2</a> was launched in two models like 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage and 4 GB RAM + 128 GB storage with respective pricing of 1,699 Yuan (~$253) and 1,999 Yuan (~$298). So, the company seems to be aiming for a similar pricing strategy this year as well.</p>
<p>But this year, for this price, there will be big upgrades as compared to its predecessor like in the processor department (SD636 vs 625), display (6.9 vs 6.4), battery (5500 vs 5300mAh), and even the cameras (12+5 dual cams vs 12MP single cam).</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h3>Xiaomi Mi Max 3 Release &amp; Sale</h3>
<p>Xiaomi Mi Max 3 will be officially announced on July 19. The phone is <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/07/17/xiaomi-mi-max-3-appears-with-key-specs-on-jd-release-date-revealed/">already up for reservations on JD.com</a> and will go on sale on July 20 at 10AM.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>So what do you think about the Mi Max 3?</p>

Previously, we <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2017/12/21/xiaomi-mi-max-3-feature-7-inch-189-display-dual-cameras/">reported</a> that the phone could come with a massive 7-inch full-screen display. Now it seems that the massive tablet-like display has been confirmed.</p>
<p>The Mi Max 3&#8217;s specification sheet has emerged online through Chinese microblogging platform Weibo, which also reveals that the phone will feature a massive 6.99-inch full-screen design with 18:9 aspect ratio. Xiaomi jumped the full-screen bandwagon last month with the launch of its Redmi 5 and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-redmi-5-plus/">Redmi 5 Plus</a>.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/Xiaomi-Mi-Max-3-official.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-166855" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/Xiaomi-Mi-Max-3-official.jpg?x44794" alt="xiaomi mi max 3" width="375" height="375" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/Xiaomi-Mi-Max-3-official.jpg 375w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/Xiaomi-Mi-Max-3-official-150x150.jpg 150w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/Xiaomi-Mi-Max-3-official-300x300.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/Xiaomi-Mi-Max-3-official-270x270.jpg 270w" sizes="(max-width: 375px) 100vw, 375px" /></a></p>
<p>Other specifications of the Mi Max 3 include a 12-megapixel rear camera sensor and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for taking selfies and making video calls. However, the leaked design of the phone reveals that there will be a dual-camera setup at the back.</p>
<p>There will be two variants based on the memory configuration &#8212; 3GB RAM with 64GB internal storage and 4GB RAM with 128GB internal storage. The phone is expected to be powered by Qualcomm&#8217;s Snapdragon 635 processor. However, there&#8217;s another report that suggests that the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/xiaomi/">Xiaomi</a> Mi Max 3 will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-167362 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/mi-max-3-leaked-specs.jpg?x44794" alt="Xiaomi Mi Max 3 Leaked Specs" width="641" height="504" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/mi-max-3-leaked-specs.jpg 641w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/mi-max-3-leaked-specs-300x236.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 641px) 100vw, 641px" /></p>
<p>The Snapdragon 635 processor from <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/qualcomm/">Qualcomm</a> is believed to be the successor of Snapdragon 625 processor, and is manufactured with 14 nm process technology and will feature an octa-core Kryo processor. The GPU on the chipset is also expected to be 20 percent more powerful as compared to its predecessor.</p>
<p>The Mi Max 3 is said to be fuelled by a 5,500mAh battery, which will also support Qualcomm&#8217;s Quick Charge 3.0 technology as well as reverse charging. While there are no details available about the software used, we are expecting the phablet to run Android Nougat based MIUI 9.</p>

<p>The latest leak suggests that the phone will be launched in June this year. As of the pricing, the phone will start retailing at 1,699 Yuan, which roughly converts to $264.</p>

This year, the company launched its successor, dubbed as Mi Max 2 with upgraded specifications. Now, according to the latest reports, the company is now working on the Mi Max 3.</p>
<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/xiaomi/">Xiaomi</a> Mi Max 3 will reportedly come with major upgrades to keep the devices in line with the current trends. The phone is expected to come with an even bigger display size of 7-inch. This is interesting as the 7-inch devices usually fall under the tablet category. The Full HD+ display will have a screen resolution of 2160 × 1080 pixels and 18:9 aspect ratio.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-163263 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/xiaomi-mi-max-3-render.jpg?x44794" alt="Xiaomi Mi Max 3 Render" width="827" height="460" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/xiaomi-mi-max-3-render.jpg 827w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/xiaomi-mi-max-3-render-300x167.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/xiaomi-mi-max-3-render-768x427.jpg 768w" sizes="(max-width: 827px) 100vw, 827px" /></p>
<p>The phablet is likely to be powered by <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/qualcomm/">Qualcomm</a>&#8216;s Snapdragon 660 chipset. Currently, we don&#8217;t have information regarding the RAM and internal storage capacity on the device. With dual camera setup at the back of the device getting mainstream, the Mi Max 3 is expected to come equipped with the same.</p>
<p>Looking at the recently leaked images of the phone, the dual camera module will be placed at the top-left corner, along with an LED flash. The company is expected to employ a high-resolution camera sensor coupled with a depth sensor, or a wide-angle lens with a telephoto lens.</p>
<p>The phone is expected to pack a 5,500mAh battery which will also support Quick Charge 3.0 as well as reverse charging. While there are no details available about the software used, we are expecting the phablet to run Android Nougat based MIUI 9. Looking at the past launch dates, we are expecting this Mi Max 3 to launch in the middle of the next year.</p>

<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-mi-max-2/">Mi Max 2</a> features a 6.44-inch Full HD with 1920 x 1080 pixels screen resolution.
