All attention over the couple of months have focused on the Nexus Marlin and Sailfish flagships that Google is expected to release soon. However, if rumors making the round is anything to go by, then Google may very well release a third device, a tablet, alongside the two smartphones.

According to popular tipster Evan Blass @evleaks, the Huawei -built 7-inch Google tablet will likely be released before the end of the year and would come with a whopping 4GB RAM. This is not the first rumor about a Huawei-manufactured Google tablet we are getting. Ever since Huawei developed Google’s last Nexus 6P smartphone, the duo have been rumored to be working on a Nexus 7, the name the device was hitherto expected to carry.

However, the idea of the next Google device carrying the Nexus brand name is rumored to be untenable. Google is said to tinkering on names using either “Google” or “Pixel” brand. Earlier leaked rumors even suggest that the two expected Nexus phones will go by the names – Pixel and Pixel XL.

Google's Huawei-built 7-inch tablet, with 4GB RAM, on track for release before the end of the year.

— Evan Blass (@evleaks) September 5, 2016

Google had hinted that they would be more opinionated about the design of the next Nexus device, so it is possible for that opinion to translate into the tech giant choosing a name for the device.

Basically, the expected Google tablet from Huawei has been tipped to be cheap, durable, decent-looking, and surprisingly pocketable. Huawei has got the pedigree to manufacture a tablet that would be a fan favorite and we expect nothing less than the best from the Asian market leader.

Meanwhile, Google is expected to hold an event on October 4 and we are already expecting two smartphones rumored to be Pixel and Pixel XL, a DayDream VR headset, a new 4k-enabled Chromeclast dongle as well and then perhaps, a new Google tablet. We are highly anticipating a very busy day if all these gadgets drop same day.

Now, according to insider sources, Huawei is keen to start working on the Nexus 7 device. If Google chooses Huawei once again, then it will be the second consecutive time the company will make a Nexus device.

The source reveals that the 2016 Nexus 7 project has already begun. Although Huawei still wants to continue as the Nexus maker for the second consecutive year, it is said that Google is yet to confirm it. Also, we still don’t know whether this is the new Nexus 7 tablet or is it the Nexus 7 smartphone.

Since the Nexus 7 name has been used exclusively for the tablet lineup till now, the source could be hinting at a new tablet from the company. However, we are not quite sure of that at the moment, so its best to wait for some more concrete details in the coming months.

The company’s current Nexus model, the Huawei 6P, isn’t without complaints, but it’s still a great flagship Android phone. The company has designed the phone pretty well and has provided enough firepower under the hood to tackle all tasks. So, if Google continues with Huawei for another year, it won’t be surprising.

So, what do you think? Should Huawei continue as the Nexus maker for the second year? Or do you think any other company will be able to make better Nexus phones that Huawei?

We have been seeing a lot of leaks about the two upcoming Nexus devices this year, one made by LG and the other made by Huawei. Both the handsets are expected to feature unique design with powerful specs at least according to the initial set of renders and leaks that we have heard. Now, we have come across yet another render of the LG Nexus 5 2015, much clearer and better than the pictures leaked before. This particular render comes to us via the known leakster OnLeaks.

As you can see from the picture above, the design looks similar to the real life pictures of the handset that we saw in the past. There’s the camera hump along with a fingerprint sensor just below it. We can even see dual LED flash and some other sensor (probably Laser Focus) on the side.

LG Nexus 5 2015 Case Leaked by OPPOMART

The only major difference between this render and the earlier leak is the lack of the Nexus branding at the back. The real life image of the LG Nexus 5 2015 came with a large Nexus branding on the back shell, which is missing here. However, considering that this is just a render, it possible that the maker didn’t consider it important to include it in the image.

As for the specs, the LG Nexus 5 2015 will reportedly come with a 5.2-inch QHD display, Snapdragon 808 hexa-core processor, 3GB RAM, 13MP camera with OIS and Laser Autofocus, 5MP front facing shooter and finally Android 6.0 Marshmallow right out of the box.

A new rumor says that the LG made Nexus will debut on 29th of September, which gives us exactly one month till launch. However, we haven’t heard any official announcement or invitation from the company, so lets wait for something more concrete.

They have evolved to manufacture products that are in line with the international companies. As a result, we have seen companies like Xiaomi, Huawei and even OnePlus grow pretty quickly.

The latest Nexus smartphone was from the former Google company, Motorola. Even the Nexus 9 tablet was manufactured by HTC, taking over the reins from ASUS, who manufactured the older Nexus 7 model. Now, it looks like Google could go with a new company again, this time a Chinese manufacturer for its next Nexus.

The news comes via Weibo which states that Google has gone with a Chinese phone maker for the release of a new Nexus device for the second half of this year. While the source fails to reveal the name of the company, we do have a few guesses, given that right now there are many good Chinese companies in the market.

Lenovo, Xiaomi, Huawei and even ZTE could be the next OEM to partner with Google. Lenovo’s recent acquisition of Motorola gives it an edge and hence, there’s a very good chance that the source is hinting at this company. However, without Motorola, Lenovo has very little expertise in the smartphone segment and its smartphones aren’t as popular as the ones from Xiaomi or even Huawei.

Anyways, if this is indeed true, then we will definitely hear more about the company in the coming months. The source slates a announcement in the second half of the year, which means there’s still plenty of time.

However, till that time, unless we hear an official announcement from the company or its officials, we can’t really confirm the news. We will be keeping a close eye on Weibo for any further updates.

Various leaks associated with second-generation Nexus 7 has sprung. This time the tablet is revealed from a Best Buy ad that lists the release date of the second-generation Nexus 7 on July 30th.

This leaks were obtained from an anonymous source that shows a Best Buy flyer is scheduled to be released on July 28th. In the flyer included the words ‘available on Tuesday’ or two days after July 28th, this indicates that both the Nexus 7 will release on July 30 the.

The flyer also included in the price for the 16GB Nexus 7 is USD $229. The screen also has a resolution of 1920×1200 pixels. One more interesting is the look of the Nexus 7 uses the same wallpaper found on the Nexus 10. This suggests that Android is going to be installed will not be much different from the existing Android Nexus 10, but usually each new Nexus products always use a different wallpaper. Or it could be using Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system.

According to sources, the tablet still puts the quality as well as the first-generation Nexus 7 tablet. For example, the tablet will use Qualcomm processor. Google is prefers to choose Qualcomm rather than NVidia in the chipset for the power efficiency..

Furthermore, the tablet is also going to be the second collaboration between Google and Asus. As is known, in the development of first-generation Nexus 7 tablet, Google is also working with the Taiwanese company. In addition, Google has also designed the device with a thinner bezel size.

Regarding the price of this tablet will not be too much different when compared with first-generation Nexus 7. It is said that Google will offers the next generation Nexus 7 for $199 USD, while at the same time it will also reduce the price of Google Nexus 7 first generation to be $49 USD.

In the view of Michael McConnell, the existence of the Nexus 7 tablet later was more suited powered by Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064 rather than NVIDIA Tegra 4 chipset. The existence of Tegra 4 is still relatively new when compared to the Snapdragon S4 Pro which was launched last year.

In addition, he also believes that in this case I would want something modern for the new Nexus 7 tablet. As one of them is the possibility of support for LTE network on the device. And the ability to handle LTE network is said that in fact possessed the ability Snapdragon S4 Pro.

If assuming he’s right, newest Nexus 7 tablet probably also will feature Full HD 1080p screen. While the price per unit will be estimated between $199 USD and $249 USD
