Meizu has a new phone in the works and it should hit the market soon since it has gotten its 3C certification and also been cleared at TENAA. The phone which is listed as having two separate models M612Q and M612M which have the same specifications is presumed to be the Meizu M5S.

The Meizu M5S doesn’t look much different from the recently released Meizu M5 Note. It has the same antenna line design at the back and has its camera, LED flash, and Meizu logo in the same position. The only difference is up front where the proximity sensor and front facing camera are positioned differently.

Specification details of the Meizu M5S reveals that it has a 5.2-inch 720p display, a 1.3GHz octa-core processor, a 13MP rear camera, a 5MP selfie camera, and a 2930mAh battery. The phone will also be available in multiple RAM (2/3/4GB) and ROM (16/32/64GB) variants when it launches.

The M5S runs Android Marshmallow and even with its small battery comes in at 8.4mm thick. Meizu is expected to release the phone in silver, gray, gold, and rose gold color options. There is no news about the date of release yet but early January seems to be the best bet.

The new Onda V989 has similar size with Apple ipad tablet, but the new Onda V989 is running Android operating system and use Allwinner A80-T octa-core processor. This tablet is offers with only $177.

The Onda V989 is packs with 9,7 inch screen size with 2048 x 1536 pixel display, sports with 2GB of RAM, and coupled with 8 megapixel rear camera and 2 megapixel front facing camera for selfie or making video calling or video chatting.

The Allwinner A80-T processor is equipped with a pairs of four ARM Cortex-A15 processor and four  lower-power ARM Cortex-A7 CPU cores and support with PowerVR G6230 graphics chipset.

Interestingly, the chipset is supports for caputure the 4K video and also playback since support with H.265/VPN video processing, the tablet is also has USB 3.0 port.

Panasonic has ready to release their new flagship smartphone in India, the phone is called as Panasonic P8, this phone is powered by octa-core processor but targeting for mid-end market.

The Panasonic has been release the video teaser before the phone is officially release to the market, according to the teaser video the phone casing can be changeable, and the phone has nice performance.

The phone is powered by MediaTek octa-core processor, the phone will be equipped with 5 inch screen size and will has more powerfull than Panasonic P51 the previous model. But we are not sure about the other specs about this phone.

MediaTek has successfully to offers s great mobile processor for some manufacturer, is now they also release the new MediaTeek MT6591 and MT6592 processor, hexa core processor that will be adopt by smartphone in the near future.

As we know, the MediaTek MT6592 octa-core processor has been release in the end of November last year that chipset is becoming the world’s first eight-core chipset for smartphone, and it’s processor has becoming the “true” octa-ocre chipset on the market.

MediaTek is also ready to release the MT6591 six-core (penta-core) processor. Zopo manufacturer is already release their phone that using MT6591 penta-core processor, Zopo X3 has been tested with Benchmark tool and this phone is uses MTK MT6591.

Zopo  Xtouch X3 uses MT6591 1.5GHz processor, sports with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of ROM, the phone has packs with 1080p FHD screen display and according to benchmark test, the phone has reach 23,600 points, the integrated graphics processor Mali-450MP4 the MT6591 in 3D/2D graphics performance with the 6592 is almost the same.

The major advantage of hexa core MT6591 is it creates a perfect bridge between quad core MT6582 and octa core MT6592. Without any surprise the price of hexa core droids will be in the middle of quad core and octa core smartphones.

As one of the chipset manufacturer Samsung is now preparing the new true Octa Core processor, after MediaTek is launching the new Octa Core processor last week, is now Samsung to turn their plan to built Octa Core chipset.

Unfortunately, there are no further details about this supposed new Samsung chip. If it all turns out to be true, though, 2014 might become the year of the ‘true octa-core’ chip. The Samsung Octa Core chipset will running eight core chipset but there is no information whether Samsung has worked out a way to provide a reasonable battery life with eight cores working full time just yet.

The Samsung Exynos 5440 Octa is the company’s latest octa-core CPU at the moment, but technically it isn’t a true octa-core since a maximum of four cores can work at once – either the four Cortex A7 or the four Cortex A15 cores.

Sony Mobile has just introducing their new smartphone products, this phone is Xperia C S39h, after launching those phone Sony seems to using the MedaTek processor.

After MediaTek launching the new MT6592 processor, and Sony will using this processor. Moreover, using the processor, Sony could cut the cost of production of a smartphone so that it can better compete in the low end market.

In addition to Sony, the MediaTek also has sent samples of processors to smartphone manufacturers such as LG, ZTE, Huawei and Lenovo. And most likely, octa-core mobile processor from MediaTek is also likely to be present at the beginning of 2014.

MT6592 processor is an octa-core processors with speeds from 1.7GHz to 2.0 GHz. This processor is said will have a high power efficiency because it uses the ARM architecture Cortex A7 with 28nm tech production process.

In the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2013 event few days ago, Samsung has launched its new mobile processor Exynos 5 Octa SoC with eight cores. Of the eight cores, divided into two CPUs. The first four CPU cores using ARM Cortex A7, and the other four uses ARM Cortex A15. While there is no information about the GPU.

In Exynos 5 Dual, the GPU used is the ARM Mali-T604. Many people who assume that the Exynos 5 Octa also use the same GPU. However, based on the information, Exynos 5 Octa processor uses a different GPU, the PowerVR SGX 544MP3 running up to 533MHz.

PowerVR SGX 544 GPU with 543 different from that used in Apple A5/A5X. These processors are the addition of DirectX 10 and setting 2x faster. While the graphics performance on Exynos 5 Octa said to have performance between Apple A5X and A6X.
