While many brands are yet to release a stable Android 13 update for their phones, Samsung has even rolled out an iterative update after the Android 13-based One UI 5.0. The brand has already released the One UI 5.1 update to many of its eligible devices. The latest ones to get the update are Galaxy Tab S7 FE and Galaxy Tab A8 10.5. Here are the details.

The 5G Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE‘s international model with model number SM-T736B has started to receive the One UI 5.1 update in Europe. The software is being seeded to the tablet with firmware version T736BXXU2CWC5. It brings several new features as well as the February 2023 Android security patch.

On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 10.5 is getting the One UI 5.1 update in South Korea. The update is rolling out to the SM-X200 model in the country but it should reach other regions pretty soon. The update has firmware version X200XXU2CWC1 and carries the outdated January 2023 security patch.

To check for the One UI 5.1 update on your Galaxy Tab S7 FE or Galaxy Tab A8 10.5, you can manually navigate to the tablet’s Settings menu and select the Software update option. If you haven’t received the update yet, this is a great way to see if it’s available for download.

Samsung Galaxy A14 5G gets One UI 5.1 update

Samsung’s latest One UI 5.1 update with version number A146BXXU1BWC3 has started rolling out to Galaxy A14 5G, providing users with new features and improved stability. This update, which comes with the March 2023 security patch, fixes over 50 security issues found in Galaxy smartphones, making it a must-have update.

The update is currently available in some Asian countries, including India and Sri Lanka, but users in other countries may have to wait a few more days to receive it. Samsung introduced the latest version of its custom Android skin— One UI 5.1— with the Galaxy S23 Series earlier this month. The brand has announced the software will also be made available for older Galaxy phones. Recently, the Galaxy S22 series and a couple of mid-range smartphones have received the update. Now, the Korean company is releasing the One UI 5.1 update for the Galaxy Z Fold3 and the Galaxy A73. Here are the details.

As reported by folks at GSMArena, the Galaxy Z Fold3 units in Europe have started to get the latest One UI 5.1 based on the Android 13 update with firmware version F926BXXU3EWB1 / F926BOXM3EWB1 / F926BXXU3EWB1. The 1406.51 MB update package brings several new features, including access to Expert RAW from the Camera app and improved multitasking. The software also brings the February 2023 security patch with itself. While the update is currently rolling out in the old continent, it should soon extend to other regions.

In addition, the Galaxy A73 is also getting the latest One UI 5.1 update. Currently, it is being seeded in Malaysia with version number A736BXXU3CWB7. Alongside the usual features, the update also brings the February 2023 security patch for the device. Samsung Galaxy A33 and Galaxy A53 5G Grabs One UI 5.1 Update

Samsung recently launched its One UI 5.1 user interface, based on Android 13, alongside the Galaxy S23 series. The brand recently released the first OTA update for the Galaxy S23 series. The Korean tech giant is now rolling out the One UI 5.1 update to the Samsung Galaxy A33 and Galaxy A53 5G devices. However, there’s a catch. The update is currently limited to the South Korean market and other global variants will grab the update soon.

The firmware version of the One UI 5.1 update for the Galaxy A33 5G is A336NKSU3CWB3, while the firmware version for the Galaxy A53 5G is A536NKSU4CWB3. The February 2023 security patch is also included in these updates for the devices. Samsung’s Game Launcher App Leaked and Now Available for Download

Samsung is set to unveil its new flagship lineup, the Galaxy S23 series, on February 1st, and it looks like the company is already preparing its software for the new devices. A leaked version of the Game Launcher app, which is expected to be part of the upcoming One UI 5.1 update, is now available for download.

The new version of the Game Launcher app, version 7.0.00.5, is said to not bring any new features, but it does put gaming recommendations at the forefront, which is a slight improvement over the current version. However, it’s unclear if this version of the app will be part of One UI 5.1 or if it will be released as a separate app update for existing Galaxy devices.

The Galaxy S23 series will run on Android 13 out of the box, with One UI 5.1 on top. In addition to new software, the devices are also expected to feature hardware upgrades such as a 200MP camera on the Galaxy S23 Ultra, new Snapdragon chip on all phones and bigger batteries on the base Galaxy S23 and Plus model.

Samsung Galaxy S20 Series Could Get One UI 5.1 Update Soon

Samsung announced in February 2022 that a whole bunch of Galaxy devices will be eligible for four years of Android updates, including flagships, foldable phones, and even budget models. However, 2020’s Galaxy S20 series wasn’t so lucky and it is expected to receive only 3 major updates. The lineup already received its last major update in the form of Android 13. But it looks like Samsung is planning to release another big update to the S20 series.

As reported by Sammobile, the Korean company has started the internal testing of the One UI 5.1 update for the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and Galaxy S20 Ultra. The software is apparently being tested with firmware version G980FXXUFHWA1. The H in the tenth position of the firmware version suggests the software is a major one.

For reference, the Galaxy S20 series devices running One UI 5.0 has a firmware version G980FXXUFGWA5, with the letter G in the same position.

Based on this information, we can assume that Samsung will soon release a new One UI 5.1 update to the aging Galaxy S20. This new version of One UI is reported to bring some new features and improvements. It could bring some additional lockscreen and other UI customization features.

The company is expected to introduce the One UI 5.1 alongside the Galaxy S23 Series on February 1. However, there’s no official confirmation from the brand yet.

It is worth reminding you that the Galaxy S20 series, which includes the Galaxy S20+ and Galaxy S20 Ultra, will continue receiving monthly security patches for up to two more years.

Samsung Reportedly Testing One UI 5.1; Could Debut With Galaxy S23 Series

Samsung is gearing up to launch its next-generation Galaxy S-series flagship smartphones under the Galaxy S23 lineup. While the launch date has not been officially revealed, it is speculated to go official on 1st February.

Now, ahead of the launch, new information about the phone’s software has surfaced. The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S23 models will run a newer version of the One UI.

As per the latest report, Samsung is currently testing the new One UI 5.1 update for the Galaxy S22 series and carries firmware version S90xEXXU2CVL7. It was spotted on Samsung’s servers and is expected to release for the S22 lineup soon after it debuts with the Galaxy S23 series smartphones.

Currently, there’s no information available about what new features are coming to the One UI 5.1; however, it’s safe to assume that the update will be based on the Android 13 operating system, similar to the One UI 5.0. The South Korean giant had previously teased lock screen customizations, which we expect to see in the upcoming update.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 series, debuting as the company’s next-generation flagship lineup, will come with a slightly updated design, better display, upgraded camera sensors, and bigger batteries.
