After the OPPO R11 and R11 Plus were launched in China on July 10, the R11 went up for sale on July 16 and the R11 Plus was slated to start selling on July 30. The OPPO R11 Plus went up for sale today on Jingdong (JD.com) as scheduled. 

The R11 Plus went up on sale at 10 AM today on Jingdong. Reservation for the sale had opened on June 23 on OPPO’s official flagship store on JD.com and was closed by 9 AM today (June 30). As at the time of writing, the device is presently on sale to those who made reservations and this will likely be on for a limited time frame. It comes with a price tag of 3699 Yuan ($546) and OPPO is offering some freebies like headphones, selfie stick with purchases while stock lasts.

When compared with the R11, the OPPO R11 Plus comes with three major changes. Going by the name, the model features a larger 6-inch 1080p display and there is equally a bigger 4000mAh battery and a bigger 6GB RAM onboard. Apart from these., the OPPO R11 and R11 Plus are similar. Both features Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 660 chip, a 20MP + 16MP dual rear camera setup, a 20MP selfie camera, Color OS 3.1, VOOC flash fast charging technology and lots more. The R11 Plus is available in Gold, Rose Gold and Black colors.

OPPO upcoming device the OPPO R11 is expected to be launched alongside the OPPO R11 Plus. While we have seen a generous amount of leaked regarding the R11, the R11 Plus has only featured in a couple of them. Now, the device has been certified by TENAA ahead of its launch. It is not that this is its first appearance on TENAA, but this time around the photo of the OPPO R11 Plus is featured along with its specifications.

Before we delve into the specification, it is just right we analyse the photo of the R11 Plus to see how it compares with the R11. It comes with a black color at the back while the screen is colored in white. White has a way of revealing display bezels but this time around, the phablet device seems to have an ultra-thin bezel on both sides. There is a front home button and basically, the design resembles the R11. The difference may just lie in their sizes.

On the specs end, the OPPO R11 Plus is listed with a 6-inch TFT display with Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080p). The device features a slim build with a thickness of only 7.8mm. It is listed with a huge 3880mAh battery which, perhaps, explains its 188g weight. The R11 Plus will also be powered by a Snapdragon 660 chip ad packs 6GB of RAM with 64GB of expandable storage. This should be the base variant as there may likely be a model with a bigger storage.

The R11 Plus is also coming with the same dual-camera setup as featured on the R11, that is a 20MP + 16MP camera combo and will also have a 20MP selfie camera. The device will be available in Black, Gold and Rise Gold color variants.

The OPPO R11 has been in the news for a while but it is still yet to launch. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer recently released a new ad for the phone but still didn’t mention a release date. As is typical of OPPO, their flagship phone usually gets a bigger variant with the suffix “Plus” added to it. The R11 will be no different, seeing as the OPPO R11 Plus has surfaced on TENAA.

The OPPO R11 Plus will feature a larger 6.0-inch display with the same 1080p resolution as the R11. Its RAM has also been bumped up to 6GB but storage has been kept at 64GB, though with the option for expansion via a MicroSD slot.

Just like the R11, the OPPO R11 Plus will also get dual rear cameras. TENAA lists them as a 16MP and 20MP combination. The front facing camera on the other hand is a 20MP sensor. The phone runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat and is powered by a 2.2GHz octa-core processor (likely Snapdragon 660).

For juice, the OPPO R11 will have a 3880mAh battery under its hood. The phone measures 165.8 × 81.5 × 7.8 (mm) and weighs 188g. It will launch in black, gold, and rose gold.

Based on the price difference between the OPPO R9S and the R9S Plus, we presume the OPPO R11 Plus will also sell for about ¥700 (∼$100) more than the R11 when it launches.
