And now</span>, more leaks have surfaced, with the latest one claiming the smartphone won&#8217;t feature a dedicated slot for the S Pen.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-426276" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/Z-Fold4-leak-1024x444.png?x44794" alt="" width="696" height="302" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/Z-Fold4-leak-1024x444.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/Z-Fold4-leak-300x130.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/Z-Fold4-leak-768x333.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/Z-Fold4-leak-696x302.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/Z-Fold4-leak-1068x463.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/Z-Fold4-leak-968x420.png 968w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/Z-Fold4-leak.png 1203w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></p>
<p>As per tipster <a href="https://blog.naver.com/yeux1122/222573318064" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Lanzuk</a>, it appears that the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold4, like its predecessor, may not feature an S Pen slot. The phone will still support a stylus but you may need a back cover to hold the S Pen like the current <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-z-fold3-5g/">Galaxy Z Fold3</a>.</p>
<p>The tipster <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/11/18/samsung-galaxy-fold-4-may-feature-improved-camera-new-hinge/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">previously reported</a> that the Galaxy Z Fold4 will come with <span data-preserver-spaces="true">an improved Under display camera (UDC) on both the internal and external screens. The overall primary camera setup is also getting an upgrade to bring the Galaxy Z Fold4 on par with the camera quality offered by the current flagship in the market.</span></p>
<p>The rumored foldable smartphone is also expected to feature the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen1 (Snapdragon 898), with the same screen size and battery size (4,400mHz). The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 may also have a lower starting price.</p>
<p>With the tipped launch date being nine months away, it is still too early to tell what features the phone may or may not hold. So we advise all our readers to take these leaks with a pinch of salt.</p>

<p>According to a post made by <a href="https://weibo.com/n/WHYLAB" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">WHYLAB</a>, a reliable tipster on Weibo (a Chinese microblogging site), the Realme GT 2 pro, model number RMX3301, will be launched in early 2022. Contrary to previous reports, the device is said to house a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen1, aka the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/qualcomm-snapdragon-898/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Snapdragon 898</a>. The smartphone will be equipped with LPDDR5 memory (RAM) and UFS 3.1 flash memory. The screen will reportedly be a 6.51-inch FHD+ AMOLED with a punch-hole display and an in-screen fingerprint scanner. It is expected to offer a high refresh rate and 404ppi pixel density. And the phone is also said to support the latest 125w fast charging feature.</p>
<p>For photography, it may feature a 50-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 5-megapixel triple camera unit and a 32-megapixel front camera. It will also support autofocus, OIS, and EIS. It appears that the 4-in-1 pixel binning technology will allow it to capture 50-megapixel shots.</p>
<p>The device is expected to be powered by a 5000mAh battery and the RAM and storage capacity are expected to be 8 and 128 GB respectively. The GT 2 Pro is likely to come preinstalled with Realme UI 3.0 based Android 12.</p>
<p>With Realme&#8217;s earlier announcement to enter the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=424996&amp;action=edit">ultra-premium smartphone segment</a>, it will be interesting to see how the company will position the release of its flagship killer against the upcoming major flagship releases like the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/samsung/">Samsung</a> Galaxy S22.</p>

<p>Earlier today, the famous tipster, <a href="https://weibo.com/u/6048569942" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Digital Chat Station</a>, posted on Weibo (a Chinese microblogging site) that the upcoming Find lineup by OPPO might feature 80W fast charging in contrast to its earlier predictions of the 125W feature.</p>
<p>It is too early to tell if the 80W fast charging feature will be available in all the upcoming OPPO Find series phones. Although, if we are to go by the current market trends, the feature will most likely be reserved for the flagship Find X4 Pro variant.</p>
<p>Earlier reports from Digital Chat Station have claimed the OPPO Find X4 Pro will come with a 6.7-inch display with a resolution of 3216 x 1440. It&#8217;ll feature a 120Hz refresh rate, much like the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/oppo-find-x3/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Find X3</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/oppo-find-x3-pro/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Find X3 Pro</a>. In addition to this, Digital Chat Station has also tipped that one phone from the Find X4 line will come with a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary camera, a 13MP telephoto camera capable of up to 2x optical zoom, and a 3MP microscopic camera.</p>
<p>We also expect the upcoming OPPO flagship to feature the upcoming <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/qualcomm/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Qualcomm</a> <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Snapdragon</a> 898 chipset, which we&#8217;re hoping to see revealed before the end of 2021. The Oppo Find X4 series of smartphones is expected to launch in early 2022, alongside the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/11/14/samsung-galaxy-s22-with-the-snapdragon-898-chip-spotted-at-geekbench/">Samsung Galaxy S22</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/xiaomi/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Xiaomi</a> 12 launches.</p>

The Geekbench database reveals that the device is powered by the upcoming <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/qualcomm/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Qualcomm</a> Snapdragon 898 SoC, giving some legitimacy to an <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/08/20/samsung-galaxy-tab-s8-s8-and-s8-ultra-may-feature-snapdragon-898/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">earlier leak</a> by the tipster Ice Universe that stated all upcoming Tab S8 series will feature the Snapdragon 898 and not the Exynos 2200 chips. The onboard graphics processing unit will be the Adreno 730, and the device is seen to have 8GB RAM, which is expected to vary in the different RAM and storage configurations of the device.</p>
<p>The tablet scored 1215 in Geekbench’s single-core test, which is slightly higher than 1211 that the Tab S8+ managed. On the other hand, the multi-core test showed the tablet scoring 3159, which is a tad lesser than the 3193 score of the Tab S8+. These scores reveal that there might be no difference between the two devices when it comes to computing power. This listing also revealed the software aspect of the Tab S8 Ultra, which appears to come with an android 12 out of the box, expected to be the OneUI 4.0 custom skin.</p>
<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/10/23/samsung-galaxy-tab-s8-ultra-renders-reveal-a-notch/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">leaked renders</a> have previously revealed that the tablet will likely be equipped with a 14.6-inch display with slim bezels and a notch camera in the front. The device is expected to sport an OLED display with a resolution of 2960 x 1848 pixels, 240 PPI, 120Hz refresh rate, and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/09/14/samsung-brs-will-enable-thinner-bezels-on-phones-tablets/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">BRS (Border Reduction Structure)</a>. Other features might include an 11,500mAh battery, a pill-shaped rear camera module housing two sensors and an LED flash, a quad-speaker setup, and a magnetic strip below the camera module for the S Pen.</p>
<p>The early renders have also revealed the presence of a USB-C port, but with the 3.5mm jack missing.</p>

<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-large wp-image-425236 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/oneplus-10-plus-1024x576.jpg?x44794" alt="" width="696" height="392" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/oneplus-10-plus-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/oneplus-10-plus-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/oneplus-10-plus-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/oneplus-10-plus-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/oneplus-10-plus-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/oneplus-10-plus-747x420.jpg 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/oneplus-10-plus-1920x1080.jpg 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></p>
<p>After weeks of rumors and leaks surfacing regarding the looks and specs of the OnePlus 10 series, the tipster Yogesh Brar reported in an <a href="https://www.91mobiles.com/hub/oneplus-10-series-testing-launch-timeline-exclusive/">exclusive to 91mobiles</a> that the OnePlus 10 series phones have entered the private testing phase in Europe and China. He further added that the smartphone is expected to launch in late January or early February 2022.</p>
<p>It is worth noting that the OnePlus 9 series was launched in April this year. And if the rumors are to be trusted, the OnePlus 10 will be the fastest follow-up to their previous generation flagship in the brand&#8217;s history. This could be accredited to the fact that OnePlus has not released any T-variants of their OnePlus 9 series smartphones, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/10/09/oneplus-9-rt-will-go-on-sale-from-october-19-in-china/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">except for the RT variant in China</a>. Another reason for this early launch date could be to compete against the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/samsung/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Samsung</a> Galaxy S22 series, which is also <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/11/06/samsung-galaxy-s22-ultra-leaks-in-real-skin-for-the-first-time/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">rumored to launch in February</a>.</p>
<p>The OnePlus 10 series is expected to feature the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 chipset with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/11/10/oneplus-10-pro-design-specs-leak/">Earlier leaks</a> have revealed that the camera module on the back panel houses three camera sensors and an LED flash, which are placed in a 2×2 grid.</p>
<p>Furthermore, the OnePlus 10 Pro is expected to sport a 6.7-inch 1440p display offering a 120Hz refresh rate. More leaks are expected to arrive soon, so stay tuned.</p>

<p>The upcoming <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/qualcomm-snapdragon-898">Snapdragon 898</a> (SM-8450) will be manufactured by South Korean giant Samsung using its 4nm process. It is expected to run on Dual 3400 architecture with Adreno’s 730 graphics processing unit. It will bring the same octa-core chip with a frequency of 1.79GHz and can be overclocked by using higher power wattage.</p>
<p>The chipset is expected to have a prime <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/arm">ARM</a> Cortex-X2 CPU core running at 3.0GHz, three Cortex-A710 based mid-cores clocked at 2.5GHz and four efficient Cortex-A510 derived cores running at 1.79GHz.</p>
<p>It is expected to offer 20 percent performance improvement over its predecessor and come packed with the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/02/09/qualcomm-next-gen-snapdragon-x65-5g-modem-10gbps-speeds/">Snapdragon X65 5G modem</a> which could theoretically offer a maximum downlink speed of 10Gbps.</p>
<p>As for smartphones, Xiaomi is expected to be the first manufacturer to launch a device powered by this Qualcomm Snapdragon 898. The phone, which is likely to be the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/xiaomi-12">Xiaomi 12</a>, is expected to get launched by the end of this year.</p>
<p>Apart from Xiaomi, many manufacturers, including <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/huawei">Huawei</a>, Lenovo, Motorola, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/vivo">Vivo</a>, OPPO, and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/samsung">Samsung</a> are in the first batch of companies that will launch smartphones powered by the new Snapdragon 898 chipset.</p>

Rumours are rife that the next Qualcomm flagship chipset, a successor to the Snapdragon 888 will debut this year. However, the exact launch details were unknown. Today, the notorious Chinese tipster, <em>DigitalChatStation</em> has revealed that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 will launch by the end of this month.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-405687 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Qualcomm-Snapdragon-898.jpeg?x44794" alt="" width="829" height="511" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Qualcomm-Snapdragon-898.jpeg 829w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Qualcomm-Snapdragon-898-300x185.jpeg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Qualcomm-Snapdragon-898-768x473.jpeg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Qualcomm-Snapdragon-898-356x220.jpeg 356w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Qualcomm-Snapdragon-898-696x429.jpeg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Qualcomm-Snapdragon-898-681x420.jpeg 681w" sizes="(max-width: 829px) 100vw, 829px" /></p>
<p>According to the tipster, Qualcomm will announce the new flagship chipset this month and we can expect Snapdragon 898 powered phones to launch thereafter. The tipster said that several new machines have arrived on the internet for filing and it revealed that the sm8450(dubbed Snapdragon 898) with Samsung&#8217;s 4nm process will be launched this year and the sm8475(maybe called Snapdragon 898+) will launch in mid of 2022.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-423558 " src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/Qualcomm-Snapdragon-898.png?x44794" alt="Qualcomm Snapdragon 898" width="523" height="133" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/Qualcomm-Snapdragon-898.png 594w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/Qualcomm-Snapdragon-898-300x76.png 300w" sizes="(max-width: 523px) 100vw, 523px" /></p>
<p>The Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 is expected to run on dual 3400 architecture with Adreno&#8217;s 730 graphics processing unit. Additionally, it will bring the same octa-core chip with a frequency of 1.79GHz. The chipset can be overclocked by using higher power wattage.</p>
<p>Interestingly, we&#8217;ll see many smartphone manufacturers launch Snapdragon 898 powered phones soon. The first batch of companies includes Xiaomi, Huawei, Lenovo, Motorola, Vivo, Oppo, and the Korean giant Samsung.</p>

Now, a new leak has just revealed the architecture of both SoCs (system on chip).</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-333744 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/mediatek-dimensity-2000.png?x44794" alt="Snapdragon" width="600" height="389" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/mediatek-dimensity-2000.png 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/mediatek-dimensity-2000-300x195.png 300w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></p>
<p>This leak arrives from known Weibo tipster <a href="https://weibo.com/6048569942/KEG9v4zH6" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>Digital Chat Station</em></a> who revealed that both the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-898/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Snapdragon 898</a> SoC and the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/dimensity-2000/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Dimensity 2000</a> will be based on the same ARM based architecture. The Qualcomm and MediaTek chipsets will feature the latest ARM Cortex X2 super cores along with the Cortex A710 and Cortex A510 cores. In other words, both chips will be based on ARM&#8217;s V9 architecture.</p>
<p>For those unaware, the X2 super cores and A710 cores are high performance cores while the A510 cores are geared for efficiency. This leak is in line with our previous report that had stated that both chips will be <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/10/20/weibo-tipster-reveals-snapdragon-898-mediatek-dimensity-2000-specs/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">nearly identical in terms of their CPU</a>. On the other hand, the difference will come down to the GPU, with the Qualcomm chip featuring an Adreno GPU while the MediaTek processor have an ARM Mali GPU.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-405687 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Qualcomm-Snapdragon-898.jpeg?x44794" alt="Snapdragon" width="829" height="511" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Qualcomm-Snapdragon-898.jpeg 829w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Qualcomm-Snapdragon-898-300x185.jpeg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Qualcomm-Snapdragon-898-768x473.jpeg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Qualcomm-Snapdragon-898-356x220.jpeg 356w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Qualcomm-Snapdragon-898-696x429.jpeg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Qualcomm-Snapdragon-898-681x420.jpeg 681w" sizes="(max-width: 829px) 100vw, 829px" /></p>
<p>So, we can expect the Snapdragon 898 to have an edge over the Dimensity 2000, since the Adreno has traditionally been faster over the Mali GPU. But, this might not be reflected in the CPU side since the Dimensity 2000 features higher clock speeds of 2.85GHz over the 2.5GHz clock speed on the Snapdragon 898 processor for their X2 and Cortex A710 performance cores. Notably, the tipster also stated that the upcoming high end Qualcomm and MediaTek chips will be based on the 4nm technology from <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/tsmc/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">TSMC</a> as well. But it remains to be seen how both chips stack up against each other.</p>

<p>Now, a <a href="https://www.ithome.com/0/582/525.htm">new report</a> coming from <em>Digital Chat Station</em> claims that the next smartphone getting launched by Vivo will be the NEX lineup device. It has also been revealed that the phone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 chipset.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-340873 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/s_4a83cdfb4e384411858cfa1af9fc7032.jpg?x44794" alt="" width="600" height="399" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/s_4a83cdfb4e384411858cfa1af9fc7032.jpg 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/s_4a83cdfb4e384411858cfa1af9fc7032-300x200.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></p>
<p>Apart from that, the report also mentions launching the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/iqoo-9">iQOO 9 series</a> smartphones after the Vivo NEX series phone launch. This one too with be powered by the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 SoC.</p>

<p>Previously, we reported that the next-generation <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/vivo-nex">NEX series smartphone</a>, the successor of the NEX 3 from Vivo, won&#8217;t be called NEX 5. Instead, the device is likely to be called Vivo NEX Fold given that it will be a foldable smartphone. While the exact launch date is not yet known, we expect to know more about it in the coming weeks.</p>
<p>As for the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset, it will be manufactured using the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/samsung">Samsung</a> 4nm process with a new architecture and Adreno 730 GPU. The company is also expected to launch another variant of the same, manufactured by <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/tsmc">TSMC</a> at a later date.</p>

We already knew some details about these chips but the new details released further illuminate these very impressive SoCs.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Qualcomm-Snapdragon-898.jpeg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-405687" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Qualcomm-Snapdragon-898.jpeg?x44794" alt="" width="829" height="511" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Qualcomm-Snapdragon-898.jpeg 829w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Qualcomm-Snapdragon-898-300x185.jpeg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Qualcomm-Snapdragon-898-768x473.jpeg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Qualcomm-Snapdragon-898-356x220.jpeg 356w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Qualcomm-Snapdragon-898-696x429.jpeg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Qualcomm-Snapdragon-898-681x420.jpeg 681w" sizes="(max-width: 829px) 100vw, 829px" /></a></p>
<p>The Snapdragon 898 will have an octa-core CPU consisting of a Cortex-X2-based main core alongside 3x Cortex-A719-based performance cores clocked at 2.5GHz. It also contains energy-efficient Cortex-A510-based cores and the Adreno 730 GPU which will take care of the graphics workload. The Snapdragon 898 will be produced by Samsung via its 4nm process.</p>
<p>The Dimensity 2000 on the other hand, will feature a similar configuration to the Snapdragon 898 but with a considerably higher cluster of the three performance cores clocked at 2.85GHz. It is speculated to have the Mali-G710 MC10 GPU. The MediaTek Dimensity 200 will be based on TSMC’s 4nm process, showing an identical production trajectory as the Snapdragon 898.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/gsmarena_000.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-389473" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/gsmarena_000.jpg?x44794" alt="MediaTek" width="1220" height="526" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/gsmarena_000.jpg 1220w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/gsmarena_000-300x129.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/gsmarena_000-768x331.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/gsmarena_000-1024x441.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/gsmarena_000-696x300.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/gsmarena_000-1068x460.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/gsmarena_000-974x420.jpg 974w" sizes="(max-width: 1220px) 100vw, 1220px" /></a></p>
<p>There are still some unreleased aspects of both flagship chips, and these will become known as we get closer to the eventual unveiling of the SoCs. One area of interest will be the brands that these chips will debut with.</p>

It has already been <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/08/12/snapdragon-898-samsung-4nm-performance-improvement/">confirmed</a> that the chipset is going to be manufactured using <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tags/samsung/">Samsung</a>’s 4nm process and will have a 20% increment in performance. Well, to corroborate the earlier claims, we now have the first Geekbench scores and it runs on an imminent flagship from <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tags/vivo/">Vivo</a> with model name, Vivo V2102A.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-410290" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/snapdragon-898-geekbench-score-772x1024.jpg?x44794" alt="snapdragon-898-geekbench-score" width="696" height="923" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/snapdragon-898-geekbench-score-772x1024.jpg 772w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/snapdragon-898-geekbench-score-226x300.jpg 226w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/snapdragon-898-geekbench-score-768x1018.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/snapdragon-898-geekbench-score-696x923.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/snapdragon-898-geekbench-score-1068x1416.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/snapdragon-898-geekbench-score-317x420.jpg 317w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/snapdragon-898-geekbench-score.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></p>
<p>With a score of 720 for single-core and 1919 for multi-core, Snapdragon 898 appears to be on top of the realm in this fierce competition. If we go by <a href="https://browser.geekbench.com/mobile-benchmarks">Geekbench benchmarks</a> for multi-core, Snapdragon 898 will have a comfortable win over the others. Among other specifications are a dual Part 3400 architecture, and <span class="accentTextColor">an Adreno 730 GPU. T</span>he current run-point version, though, is the same as the original SM8350.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-410291" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/snapdragon-898-geekbench-code-1024x924.jpg?x44794" alt="snapdragon-898-geekbench-code" width="696" height="628" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/snapdragon-898-geekbench-code-1024x924.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/snapdragon-898-geekbench-code-300x271.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/snapdragon-898-geekbench-code-768x693.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/snapdragon-898-geekbench-code-696x628.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/snapdragon-898-geekbench-code-1068x964.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/snapdragon-898-geekbench-code-465x420.jpg 465w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/snapdragon-898-geekbench-code.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></p>
<p>Additionally, Snapdragon 898 chipset has a total of 8 cores, and for now, the main frequency appears to be just 1.78Ghz, the renowned leakster Digital Chat Station is hopeful that these numbers will certainly rise as soon as the mass production kicks off. And with improvements this radical, expect power consumption to be on the higher side, too.</p>
<p>As <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/07/04/4nm-snapdragon-895-series-production-to-be-split-between-samsung-and-tsmc/">learned earlier</a>, the production will be split between Samsung and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tags/tsmc/">TSMC</a>, and it appears that the Plus variant of the Snapdragon 898 processor <span class="accentTextColor">may hit the market as early as the second quarter of </span>2022. Interestingly, Vivo will be among the first few brands to launch a smartphone powered by Snapdragon 898. We will have more information in this regard when the processor gets officially unveiled in December Qualcomm Summit.</p>

<p>Now, ahead of the launch, some details about the Samsung <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/samsung-galaxy-s22">Galaxy S22 series</a> keep surfacing online. In the latest development, it is <a href="https://news.mydrivers.com/1/779/779968.htm">being reported</a> that the Samsung Galaxy S22-series will enter mass production in November this year.</p>
<figure id="attachment_396922" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-396922" style="width: 770px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" class="wp-image-396922 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/Samsung-Galaxy-S22-Ultra-6.jpg?x44794" alt="Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra Render" width="770" height="642" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/Samsung-Galaxy-S22-Ultra-6.jpg 770w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/Samsung-Galaxy-S22-Ultra-6-300x250.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/Samsung-Galaxy-S22-Ultra-6-768x640.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/Samsung-Galaxy-S22-Ultra-6-696x580.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/Samsung-Galaxy-S22-Ultra-6-504x420.jpg 504w" sizes="(max-width: 770px) 100vw, 770px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-396922" class="wp-caption-text">Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra Render</figcaption></figure>
<p>Further, the report adds that the smartphones in the lineup will be available for purchase from January 2022. All the models in the series are expected to come powered by the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/qualcomm-snapdragon-898">Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 chipset</a>, which is set to launch in December this year.</p>
<p>This upcoming smartphone lineup from Samsung is also touted to be the first in the world to come powered by the SD898 SoC. In that case, it&#8217;ll beat Chinese giant Xiaomi which has been launching the first smartphones packing new Snapdragon-series flagship SoC.</p>
<p>As per the previous report, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 will be manufactured by <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/samsung">Samsung</a> and is likely to offer about a 20 percent increase in performance. The entire order is with Samsung while <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/tsmc">TSMC</a> will be manufacturing the Plus variant.</p>
<p>In some regions, the Samsung Galaxy S22 series smartphones could come powered by the Samsung <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/exynos-2200">Exynos 2200 chip</a>, which is likely to integrate AMD GPU for better performance, which remains to be seen.</p>
<p>Reports indicate that the top-end model in the lineup, Galaxy S22 Ultra, will be using a 108-megapixel primary sensor, and will also be equipped with a periscope telephoto lens, and an ultra-wide-angle lens.</p>
