Samsung remains the world’s leading smartphone manufacturer, and the company’s Galaxy S-series devices remain one of the most premium offerings from the brand. But, it’s been ages since we have seen any major design changes in the Galaxy S-series lineup.

Now, it appears that the South Korean giant is planning to take a leap of faith and pull an Apple on its customers by removing an important feature of a smartphone. As per the latest report, the Galaxy S-series smartphones could come without any physical buttons.

The report claims that the Samsung Galaxy S-series smartphone without any type of physical buttons could get launched as soon as 2025, which means that the Galaxy S25 series could be the first with such a major change.

It remains to be seen how the company plans to add functionalities of the volume rocker keys and the power button. There should also be an option to forcefully shut down or restart the phone if needed. If Samsung is planning to remove physical buttons, it must have thought about these and may already have solutions for them.

In the recent past, Apple removed the Escape key from the keyboard when it introduced the Touch Bar on the laptop. However, the company eventually caved in after a major backlash and re-introduced the physical Escape key button.

HTC also tried doing something similar, but the company did not completely remove the physical buttons. For the HTC U12+, the buttons on the device weren’t mechanical buttons; however, the user feedback wasn’t good, and it was one of the worst parts of the phone.

AUO is the one of Taiwanese electronic manufacturer that officially released its first 2560 x 1440 resolution  AMOLED screen panel, called 2K screen.

AUO has already release the 5.7 inch screen size, reaching a 513ppi pixel density, and this screen is becoming the world’s highest resolution AMOLED screen that will be used for most smartphone in the near future.

AUO screen will beat the currently Samsung Galaxy S5’s screen that only has 1080 pixel AMOLED screen. In addition to the 2K screen, AUO is also introduced the use of embedded screen with touch technology that has only 5-inch 720p AMOLED touch panel that has only 0.57mm of thickness and support for 10-point touch.

News about the planning of appearance the Samsung Galaxy S IV increasingly apparent. Having previously rumored that the Galaxy S IV will not be announced at MWC next February and is expected to slide when Samsung Unpacked event.

In this time the rumor was reported that the date of actual retail sales has been determined that in mid-April 2013.

In this latest leak mentioned that the Galaxy S will be launched in the week of 16th of 2013. That means in the middle of spring in the northern part of the Earth called suitable for the growth of the handset with Nature UX.

Because the number of 4 is considered an unlucky number in Korea, Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9500 aka IV will be called as Altius (J) are significantly higher.

These leaks also reveal that the battery capacity is 2600 mAh and has ability to rechargeable wirelessly with the ability to dock and back cover special. From this information it can be concluded that Altius will not wear unibodi design. At first thought Altius is available in black and white.

Altius (J) is expected to use Exynos 5 Octa (8-Core) chipset, Mali-T658 GPU (8-Core), 4.99-inch Super AMOLED Full HD display, 2GB of RAM, 13 megapixel rear camera, 2 megapixel front-facing camera, and running Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean.

This latest generation of Galaxy S will be announced in the end of March, and will be available in mid-April.

A few hours before Consumer Electronic Show (CES) 2013 which held from January 8th to 11th at Las Vegas, we got a leaked picture of Samsung Galaxy S IV smartphone, this is the next generation Samsung Galaxy lineup.

This picture taken from unknown Samsung internal source. Photos that appear less obvious that glance similar to the Galaxy S III.

However, as reported by the Telegraph, there are some differences. That landscape seem larger screen and no visible presence of physical buttons.

But, it could not be confirmed if this leaked photo absolutely Galaxy S IV or not. Similarly, what the specifics are not known with certainty.

While for now we heard that Samsung reportedly will not launch Galaxy S IV before of May 2013. Or exactly a year after the launch of the Galaxy S III. So what do you  think?
