With the Cybertruck finally rolling out, Tesla recently shared new teasers for its latest electric vehicle. Interestingly enough, the Nothing Phone (1) managed to make a cameo appearance in one of these teaser videos. So let’s have a look.

Nothing Phone (1) Cameo in Cybertruck Teaser

To recall, the Tesla Cybertruck was unveiled and is available in North America. In an official tweet, the EV maker released a teaser video that showcases some of its features. One segment of the video talks about the reverse charging feature of the EV, which is also where the Nothing Phone (1) makes a short appearance. Nothing Phone (1) was first unveiled back in 2022 and launched with support for Tesla integration.

So the glimpse of the device isn’t too surprising. The CEO and Founder of Nothing, Carl Pei, retweeted this teaser and even thanked Elon Musk for the shoutout. Based on what we know, the Cybertruck features 120W and 240W power outlets as well as a bi-directional charge port. This EV can also power the owner’s home with 11.5kW of continuous power. It can even power another EV and allow users to operate power tools. The 9.6kW power would enable powering different tools for multiple different functions.

Talking about the smartphone itself, the Phone (1) released with a 6.55-inch OLED display with Full HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It features a 50-megapixel dual camera setup on the rear, while the front houses a 16-megapixel selfie shooter. Under the hood, it is equipped with the Snapdragon 778G+ SoC out of the box. A 4,500mAh battery pack powers this device, which supports 33W wired fast charging, 15W wireless fast charging, and 5W reverse wireless charging as well.

Tesla has officially announced the commencement of the Cybertruck national tour, set to roll through 8 major cities in China, including Shanghai and Beijing. Scheduled to begin at the end of January 2024, this tour will simultaneously unveil eight Cybertrucks. It’s a move by Tesla to boost brand awareness and showcase its unique electric pickup to a wider audience.

Tesla Cybertruck’s 4680 battery raises concerns over its slower charging speed

The charging performance of Tesla’s much-anticipated Cybertruck, equipped with the new 4680 batteries (that’s 46 mm in diameter and 80 mm high), has come under scrutiny. Concerns initially arose with the Model Y, which experienced a significant drop in charging speed after adopting the 4680 battery. The recently exposed charging curve of the Cybertruck appears to validate these worries, suggesting that this electric pickup truck may face extended charging times.

Charging speed could be restricted on the software level to gather some specific data for the sake of evaluation

The Cybertruck marks Tesla’s first full utilization of the 4680 batteries, leading to the cessation of 4680 Model Y production at the Texas Gigafactory earlier this year due to reported battery performance issues. Early charging data reveals a prolonged charging time, surpassing Tesla’s official claim of reaching 80% in 25 minutes. The primary challenge stems from a rapid early drop in charging power, extending the actual charging time beyond expectations.

To address skepticism and potential repetition of the Model Y’s issues, Tesla introduced the “Cybercell,” a more advanced version of the 4680 battery. Although claiming a 10% increase in energy density, specific charging performance data has not been provided. Initial charging scenes evoke memories of the Model Y’s suboptimal performance. However, drawing conclusive statements wasn’t previously possible due the the lack of a complete charging curve.

Recently, a Cynertruck was spotted Cybertruck charging at a V3 Supercharger station. It revealed a charging power of 148kW at 35% capacity, which is significantly lower than other Tesla models with similar power levels. The estimated time to charge to 80% stretched to 35 minutes, prompting discussions among Tesla enthusiasts about potential connections to lower-power V2 Superchargers instead of a V3 one. Speculation also arose regarding the Cybertruck’s potential optimization for 800V superchargers, which seemingly justifies the relatively poor performance with a 400V charger. But then again, Tesla uses series-parallel technology to charge batteries at 400V and 800V without an inverter.

Recent insights from a Cybertruck owner shed light on the charging process. The truck takes 40 minutes to reach 80% power, with a sharp decline in charging power from 250kW at 20% to 150kW at 40%, stabilizing around 80kW between 65% and 85%. However, it could be possible that

Tesla intentionally limited the charging performance at the software level to gather some specific data for evaluating and optimizing long-term battery performance. Historically, Tesla has unlocked additional battery capacity and increased charging speeds through software updates after ensuring safety protocols. Tesla has finally unveiled the pricing for its highly anticipated Cybertruck. The electric vehicle was caught up in a state of production delays with the first batch of delivery only recently kicking off. During this delivery event held at the Tesla Gigafactory in Austin, the pricing for the high end electric truck was also revealed.

Tesla Cybertruck Pricing

The American EV maker even announced the Cybertruck’s performance specs and model options at the event. Entry level versions features a single motor rear wheel drive that will have you shell out 60,999 US Dollars. Technically, incentives and an “estimated 3-year gas savings” means that buyers are only spending around 49,890 US Dollars. This model offers up to 250 miles of range and hits 0 to 60 in just 6.5 seconds. The range is also in line with the previous teaser from Marques Brownlee. This model is set to release in 2025.

Moving forward, the mid range model costs 79,990 US Dollars and offers an all wheel drive along with sports e-motors on each axle. The version offers 340 miles of range and an impressive 0 to 60 in just 4.1 seconds. This is thanks to its 600 HP with 7435 lb-ft of torque. Lastly, we have the top end model, which is aptly dubbed the Cyberbeast.

It comes equipped with three e-motors for all wheel drive, a 320 miles maximum range, and 2.6 seconds to go from 0 to 60MPH. It has a top speed of 130MPH, outputting 845 HP and 10,296 lb-ft of torque. Notably, the Cyberbeast and AWD mid range models can also carry 121 cubic feet of cargo and accommodate five adult passengers. The Tesla Cybertruck lineup is compatible with the company’s supercharger network. Just 15 minutes of charging can offer 128 miles of range.

esla continues to expand its electric vehicle lineup, and the next addition to the family is the Cybertruck, which looks like it came straight out of a science fiction movie. Initially revealed in 2019, the vehicle is now in mass production, with deliveries starting from November 30. However, as expected, the initial number of delivered vehicles will be limited. While the company anticipates an increase in this number over time, Tesla is taking precautions to prevent opportunistic actions. Therefore, Tesla has decided not to allow the resale of Cybertruck in the second-hand car market.

Tesla Cracks Down on Cybertruck Resale Flipping with Year-Long Ban

Tesla recently reached out to some fortunate customers, informing them that they will be among the first to receive the Cybertruck. Shortly after this announcement, opportunistic behavior emerged. For instance, a person in Los Angeles auctioned off their reservation and earned a substantial $400,000. Such incidents raised concerns for the company. As a response, Tesla plans to have customers who receive the Cybertruck before delivery sign a special agreement.

According to this agreement, new Cybertruck owners will commit not to sell their vehicle for the first year. While this agreement is not binding, if an owner wishes to sell within the initial year, they must first contact Tesla and offer the vehicle to the company. If Tesla declines to purchase, only then can the owner sell to a third party. Failure to comply with this process and selling without Tesla’s knowledge may result in legal action, with the seller facing a penalty of at least $50,000. The contract terms that customers must accept are as follows:

You understand and agree that Cybertruck will be produced in limited quantities initially.
You agree not to sell or attempt to sell the vehicle within the first year following the delivery date. However, if you must sell the vehicle due to an unforeseen reason within the first year, and Tesla acknowledges that the reason qualifies for an exception to the no reseller policy, you must inform Tesla in writing and provide a reasonable period for Tesla to respond.
Tesla has the option, at its discretion, to purchase the vehicle from you at a price $0.25/km less than the purchase price listed in the applicable Final Price Sheet, plus reasonable wear and tear, and repair costs to meet Tesla’s Second-Hand Vehicle Cosmetic and Mechanical Standards.
If Tesla refuses to purchase the vehicle, you may only sell it to a third party after obtaining written permission from Tesla.

In case of a breach of these terms or if Tesla reasonably suspects a violation, Tesla may seek an injunction to prevent the transfer of ownership of the vehicle or demand compensation of $50,000 or the greater of the sale or transfer amount. Tesla also reserves the right to refuse to sell any future vehicles to you.

It’s worth noting that even the auctioned reservation reached a value of $400,000. YouTubers and many others will likely desire these vehicles, and some may even offer to cover the penalty themselves. Therefore, it wouldn’t be surprising if the company finds itself frequently dealing with legal matters involving customers in the future.

Tesla Cybertruck might be One of the Lightest Electric Pickup Trucks in the Market

A lot of people have been talking about the upcoming Tesla Cybertruck more than any other vehicle in history, perhaps. It may very well become the poster child of this decade’s automotive revolution. Of course, this is a hot topic, but as news keeps surfacing, this prospect just fades in and out of existence among industry insiders, car enthusiasts, and drone operators. Limited official information fuels this speculation while all eyes are on Tesla’s latest electric marvel. In a recent episode of Munro Live, Sandy Munro and Cory Steuben dissected the potential of the Tesla Cybertruck. Using images, spy shots, and drawing parallels from their previous Model 3 and Model Y teardowns, they predict the Cybertruck may be lighter than its rivals, the Rivian R1T and the Hummer EV.

This weight is mostly because of the way Cybertruck’s framework has been designed

The duo attributed this weight advantage to the Cybertruck’s use of multiple giga castings, including a single-piece front underbody and two more castings at the side and rear. This feature, they believe, could help the vehicle shed some weight compared to its peers. The unibody construction of the Cybertruck, compared to the ladder frame chassis used by the Hummer and the Rivian, could also contribute to its lighter weight. “This structure, coupled with the efficient battery pack, eliminates the need for a traditional frame,” noted Steuben.

For tax purposes, Steuben stated the Cybertruck might not weigh less than 6,000 pounds. Given that the Rivian R1T has a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 8,532 pounds, and the Hummer reportedly exceeds 9,000 pounds, this seems plausible. However, it’s worth noting that classifications can vary, with the EPA labeling the Rivian as a heavy-duty truck. Munro and Steuben’s speculations extend to the Cybertruck’s structural strength too. Based on analysis of the “body in black” image, the vehicle’s A and B pillars appear incredibly robust, suggesting the use of ultra-high-strength steel, such as boron or hot stamped steel, to meet safety standards. “This thing is going to be bulletproof,” predicted Munro, shedding light on the vehicle’s anticipated strength and safety.

The full story is not entirely known, but it appears that a Tesla official was driving the Cybertruck when it went off the road and somehow got stuck in the terrain. The company has always emphasized the vehicle’s performance in its previous communications. It is unknown what caused the situation of being stuck in the mud. It is worth mentioning that the prototype’s performance should not be taken as an indicator of the production truck’s capabilities, so reservation holders need not worry. Tesla Cybertruck Spotted in the Wild With a New Front-end Design and a Giant Wiper

The latest Tesla Cybertruck beta prototype features a new front end and a large windshield wiper. The front-end design of the prototype indicates that the model has been updated from its previous prototype.

Tesla has begun testing the Cybertruck prototypes and more of the EV will be seen in the coming weeks. The testing process should be completed before the Cybertruck will go into production.

The latest sighting of the Cybertruck beta prototype comes after last week’s sighting of the model in Palo Alto. The view from the model was the rear end and side designs. The new sighting adds the view of the Cybertruck from the front. It is believed to be the same beta prototype of the Cybertruck spotted in Palo Alto. It also has triangular side mirrors which were absent in previous prototypes.

The images of the Cybertruck beta prototype also somehow indicate that it has a shorter ground clearance than previous prototypes. The images are however not definitive enough and pictures could be distorted. The light bars in the Tesla EV prototype are similar to the original prototype unveiled in 2019. There are no exact comparisons however between the two prototypes. The new Cybertruck beta has a different grill design underneath the lower light bar.

The huge windshield wiper of the Cybertruck beta has drawn criticisms for Tesla’s CEO, Elon Musk. The large wiper is sitting in view of the side when not in use unlike what is seen in conventional vehicles. Musk has previously stated that the huge wiper design will be omitted in the production version of the Cybertruck. This remains to be seen as the beta version is in the penultimate stage before production.

Tesla hopes to deliver the Cybertruck to its customers this summer. However, it remains to be seen how the EV giant will achieve the milestone before 2024.

Tesla Cybertruck will come with rear axle steering system

The Tesla Cybertruck will come in three different versions. The company announced that it has decided to delay production of the entry-level single-motor, two-wheel-drive (RWD) model. The rear-axle steering system allows for a smaller turning radius for the vehicles. Unfortunately, it is not known if the model in the video is a beta prototype. Another change that will be seen in the Cybertruck model is in the electronics hardware. The Full Self Driving software is currently being developed on Hardware 3, which Tesla refers to as such. The 4th version, which was started last year, will be launched along with the Cybertruck.

It is rumored that mass production of the Cybertruck model will start in 2023. It is worth mentioning that Tesla’s goal for the Cybertruck is to produce 250,000 units annually. Elon Musk announced the cost of the vehicle at the event in 2019, but the pandemic and global inflation may cause these prices to change. If Tesla would deliver the Cybertruck at the price point and with the specs initially announced in 2019, it would probably beat the Model Y (the best-selling Tesla model).

Recently, a beta Cybertruck was spotted in Palo Alto, California, with a picture shared on Twitter. The picture showed a few small updates to the design, including a more stylish triangle-shaped mirror and a slightly shorter back tailgate compared to previous images.

Allthough official specs have not yet been revealed, Musk stated that the Tesla Cybertruck will feature a quad-motor all-wheel drive system, a towing capacity of up to 14,000 lbs, and a 0-60 mph time of just 2.9 seconds. The Cybertruck is expected to have a range of up to 500 miles on a single charge.

According to the statements made by Tesla, the number of people who pre-order Cybertruck has reached over 1.5 million. However, it should be noted that this does not mean that Tesla has sold 1.5 million Cybertruck. The company currently takes a $100 deposit for each pre-order, waiting for the vehicle to be ready to receive its full price.

This means that anyone with enough money in their pocket can pre-order, even if they aren’t going to buy it. Although we do not know how many 1.5 million people will actually buy Cybertruck, but even now, the money entering the company is 150 million dollars.

The biggest problems that Tesla has experienced in the past have been on the production side. In previous models, many customers waited a very long for delivery after placing their orders. However, the company stepped up things by solving its problems after 2019. The company says the Cybertruck is on track to start production in mid-2023.

Another point of concern is the price. Elon Musk announced the cost of the vehicle at the event in 2019, but the pandemic and global inflation may cause these prices to change. Can Tesla Deliver an Affordable Electric Vehicle? The Wait May Have Been Over!

Electric cars are continuously gaining popularity, leading to increased production capacities and reduced costs. Major manufacturers such as Volkswagen and Ford have taken advantage of this and have produced relatively affordable models. When this occurs, attention turns to Tesla, the first name that comes to mind when thinking about electric vehicles. So, will we see an affordable Tesla model in the near future? Here are the details…

As you know, Tesla is a publicly traded company and holds meetings with its shareholders at certain times of the year. The upcoming event is the “Tesla Investor Day” scheduled for March 1. Tesla may unveil a new low-cost EV platform at this event. During Tesla’s Q3 earnings call in October last year, CEO Elon Musk revealed that the new platform will be smaller in size than the Model 3/Model Y platform.

He also indicated that the company will work to reduce costs. This will be the third vehicle platform for Tesla, following the trajectory of its “Master Plan,” which aims to shift the company from high-cost/low-volume designs to low-cost/high-volume designs. The first platform was for the Model S and X, and the second platform is used for the Model 3 and Y. Unfortunately, there is no information about the expected affordable Tesla models. However, some analysts claim that these cars will start at $25,000.

So, if Tesla is indeed working on a low-cost car, why hasn’t any information been leaked yet? The answer is simple: the new model is likely still in the design and planning stage and there may still be a long time before it goes into production. As a comparison, Elon Musk introduced the CyberTruck in 2019 and started pre-orders, but the car has not yet been released. A similar situation may occur with these affordable models. We will see on March 1 whether all these gossips are true or not.

Tesla Cybertruck delayed again, mass production pushed back to 2024

Earlier today, Tesla had its fourth-quarter earnings call where the company’s CEO Elon Musk said that the Cybertruck won’t be seeing full volume production until 2024. As many of you may remember, Tesla unveiled the futuristic Cybertruck back in November 2019 and subsequently opened bookings for the pickup truck.

To date, potential customers have reserved more than 1.5 million Cybertracks, however, even one of them it yet to make it to a customer. During the call, Musk was questioned about if the upcoming car would fulfill a manufacturing goal that was established in Q2 of last year for the middle of 2023. Musk reluctantly acknowledged that Cybertruck production would begin “sometime this summer,” but came to the conclusion that the truck won’t go into mass production until the following year. “I always attempt to minimize the beginning of manufacturing,” Musk added. “It increases exponentially, but it is very slow at first.”

This is the latest in a line of multiple delays. Pre-production was initially planned to begin in late 2021, but the COVID-19 epidemic caused this to change. Then, it was projected to happen sometime in 2023, a year ago.

This time, however, it looks like Tesla is finally readying up for mass production as the company revealed that it has started installing the production equipment needed for the Cybertruck’s assembly, including the castings that will produce the electric pickup’s body.

IAT T-Mad EV with a 1,000km Range Showcased as China’s Response to Tesla’s Cybertruck

The IAT T-Mad has been showcased in China. The EV has a range of 621 miles (~1,000km) and has drawn comparisons with the Tesla Cybertruck. The concept-wild electric truck could well grace Chinese roads in the future.

The IAT T-Mad was presented for the first time during the Guangzhou Auto Show. It is an expansive pickup truck with solid off-road potential. It has similar dimensions to the Tesla Cybertruck but with a smaller wheelbase (142.9 inches). It is also slightly wider and taller than its competitor, although Tesla hasn’t released the Cybertruck also.

The T-Mad has a futuristic sci-fi exterior design. The front end has full-width LED lights in place of conventional headlights. A front grille is also absent in the T-Mad while its black plastic protruding bumper is fitted with two tow hooks. The four-door EV has rear suicide doors while the cabin can be configured in several ways.

As per the T-Mad’s interior, the cabin has a large lounge-like chair and three smaller swiveling seats. The large chair is at the rear while the driver sits in the center of the cabin. There are still key specs details lacking for the T-Mad.

There are also no clear details about the production milestones for the IAT T-Mad but it could have a minimal range of 800km. There are no indications yet on the pricing options for the model. IAT is now in a race with Tesla for the first to release either the T-Mad or the Cybertruck. It will be interesting to see the T-Mads electric motor and its battery pack.

Smaller Tesla Cybertruck May Have Revealed! Will It Be Cheaper?

It’s been almost three years since Elon Musk announced the Tesla Cybertruck, but car enthusiasts still did not give up hope on this vehicle. According to a recent statement by Tesla, the number of people who pre-order Cybertruck has reached 1.5 million. It looks like the company is quite happy with this interest and may be working on a follow-up model.

Tesla’s smaller, two-door Cybertruck design was hiding in plain sight

Tesla’s exhibit at the Petersen Museum is extensive, as it highlights the company’s history and the products and innovations that have helped it become a dominating force in the EV sector over the years. And, of course, the Tesla Cybertruck was heavily featured and very popular in the exhibit. A detail at the event excited Tesla enthusiasts.

According to some electric vehicle enthusiasts, Tesla has shared a pretty interesting version of its futuristic all-electric pickup truck in its exhibit. Visitors to the exhibition discovered an interesting painting at the Cybertruck corner. In the image hanging on the wall, there was a smaller version of the futuristic vehicle. Unlike Tesla’s known model, the vehicle in the sketch was a two-door Cybertruck.

The vehicle in the painting looks more compact than the original Cybertruck. Its cabin still looks spacious and airy thanks to its long windshield and short hood. First of all, let’s clarify something, no, Tesla will not completely change the design of the vehicle and make it smaller before launch. However, painting could be a spoiler for future models.

Following the unveiling of the original Cybertruck prototype in late 2019, Musk was asked on Twitter if Tesla would be open to making a more compact version of the Cybertruck down the road. Musk responded positively to the inquiry, noting that, “Long term, it probably makes sense to build a smaller Cybertruck too.” So, based on this, it is possible to say that the smaller Cybertruck will appear in the upcoming years. Unfortunately, it is unclear at the moment whether it will be cheaper than standard model or not.

It’s been almost three years since Elon Musk announced the Tesla Cybertruck. However, car enthusiasts did not give up hope on this vehicle, which looks like it came out of 90’s sci-fi movies. According to the statements made by Tesla, the number of people who pre-order Cybertruck has reached 1.5 million. There is only one question in mind, “Will it meet the expectation?”

Tesla Cybertruck reaches 1.5 million pre-orders

Elon Musk first demonstrated the Tesla Cybertruck at a controversial launch in 2019. At the event, Musk praised the vehicle’s performance and durability, saying it would set industry standards. At the event, he took a sledgehammer and started hitting the car and nothing happened. After the sledgehammer, he took a stone and threw it at the ‘unbreakable glass’ of the cybertruck. Unfortunately, things did not go as planned here and the glass of the car door was shattered.

Despite the scandal, users loved the presentation of the Tesla Cybertruck, and 250 thousand of people pre-ordered the vehicle in its first week. It seems that the interest has not decreased in time and this number has reached 1.5 million. However, it should be noted that this does not mean that Tesla has sold 1.5 million Cybertruck.

The company currently takes a $100 deposit for each pre-order, waiting for the vehicle to be ready to receive its full price. This means that anyone with enough money in their pocket can pre-order, even if they aren’t going to buy it. Although we do not know how many 1.5 million people will actually buy Cybertruck, but even now, the money entering the company is 150 million dollars.

Tesla Cybertruck prototype spotted at the Fremont factory by a Drone

Back in 2019, Tesla had unveiled a futuristic new vehicle, the Cybertruck. However, this model saw various delays in production. But now, a Cybertruck prototype has just been spotted, which showcases its ongoing development.

Last month, we had reported on the American electric vehicle maker delaying the Cybertruck’s production to late 2023, after previously delaying the production to late 2022 despite initial plans for 2021 production. While there has been delays, a drone shot has revealed that the company is actively working on the upcoming vehicle. The video was uploaded on YouTube (Via TechTimes) and offers us a look at the highly anticipated futuristic looking EV that has the recognizable angular design.

After Elon Musk announced the production delays, the Cybertruck had been spotted in the wild a couple of times. Now, the new footage from a drone gives us a clear look at a prototype, with Tesla engineers working on the vehicle. Recent rumors have hinted at the Cybertruck being smaller than the one showcased back in 2019. Although, the drone shots shows that it doesn’t appear ‘small’ by any means.

Unfortunately, since its a prototype, it was found to be missing a notable feature, which is its giant single windshield wiper blade that was shown off more than two years ago. But this might be due to the model being a prototype that is being worked on, since we can see the engineers hooking up the Cybertruck with what appears to be sensors and more.

Tesla launches Cyberquad for Kids, an all-electric ATV for $1,900

Earlier today, Tesla quietly made its move to capitalize on the holiday season hype with the release of an electric-powered ATV, the Cyberquad for kids.

This is not the first time the Cyberquad has made an appearance as many of you might remember it from the epic launch event for the Tesla Cybertruck. The ATV was loaded in the bed of the pickup truck and was initially announced to be sold as an accessory for the Cybertruck. Now, the kid’s version of the Cyberquad is listed on Tesla’s website with a price tag of $1,900.

A tweet made earlier today by Franz von Holzhausen, Tesla’s chief designer, features a video of him and his kids hitting the outdoors on their Cyberquads.

Tesla Cyberquad for kids: specs, features, and availability

Tesla has listed the Cyberquad for kids as suitable for kids eight years old and up with a maximum weight capacity of 150 lbs (68kg). The design is inspired by the iconic Cybertruck and features a full steel frame, features a full steel frame, cushioned seat, and adjustable suspension with rear disk braking, and LED light bars. The Cyberquad for kids is powered by a lithium-ion battery with up to 15 miles (24 km) of range and a top speed of 10 mph. The speed can be configured into three settings, namely, 5 mph, 10 mph, and 5 mph reverse only. Tesla says it will take up to 5 hours to charge completely, and the battery range can be affected by a user’s weight, the riding terrain, and the speed setting.

The EV company has also put out a disclaimer stating that the Cyberquad for Kids will only ship in the US right now, and Tesla isn’t guaranteeing that the ATV will arrive prior to the holidays. The Cyberquad for kids is priced at $1,900 at Tesla’s websites and is said to begin shipping in 2-4 weeks.
