The Wiko X70 has officially been launched in China. This model was just announced in the region, with some features not commonly found in budget phones. You also get a bunch of other capable features as well, so here are all the details.

Wiko X70: What makes it special?

The Chinese brand has officially announced the Wiko X70, with support for satellite connectivity that is powered by BeiDou. It works independently of a cellular signal, so you don’t need a mobile connection. This is a feature often found in top of the line flagship smartphones and can be useful in emergency situations. On the front, the device sports a tall 6.7-inch OLED display with an FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and Kunlun glass.

Wiko X70

For optics, the rear has a 50MP main camera, while the front houses a 32MP shooter for selfies and video calls. The Wiko X70 features an IP54 rating for water and dust resistance. A massive 6,100mAh battery pack powers this model, which supports up to 40W wired fast charging. Other notable features include dual SIM support, a USB 2.0 port, and a slim 7.6mm body.

Huawei just announced the Wiko X70 in three color options in China, namely black, white, and light green. It is also available in three storage configurations, which include 8GB + 256GB, 12GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 512GB. This model has a 1,599 Yuan price tag, which is roughly 224 US Dollars.

Speculation suggests the Hi Enjoy 70 Pro 5G could be a rebranded version of Huawei’s recently launched Enjoy 70 Pro. This hints at what we might expect.

Wiko is one of the many Huawei ecosystem brands. This company is known for its budget 5G smartphones.

Now, the brand has announced Wiko Hi Enjoy the 60s 5G. Let’s check out what this handset has to offer.

Wiko Hi Enjoy 60s 5G Specifications

The newly unveiled Wiko Hi Enjoy 60s 5G can be termed as a toned-down version of Wiko Hi Enjoy 60 5G from April. The ‘s’ variant comes in different colors and features downgraded cameras.

The new model features the same design but does not have golden rings for the cameras. Also, it comes in darker blue and black colors, in addition to white instead of gold.

Further, it sports a 13MP rear camera compared to a 50MP shooter on the original. However, the 2MP depth sensor and the 8MP selfie camera remain the same.

Even other specs are identical. The Wiko Hi Enjoy 60s 5G is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 700 chip and boots HarmonyOS. It draws energy from a 6,000mAh battery and supports 22.5W wired charging.

The phone is equipped with a 6.75-inch LCD screen on the front. This display has a dewdrop notch and offers a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels.

Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and 199g weight.

Wiko hasn’t revealed the price and availability of Enjoy 60s 5G so far.

It has been more than 3 years since Huawei released a first-party 5G smartphone. However, in the last couple of years, the company managed to launch certain handsets with 5G support under different names with partnerships.

One of these partners is Wiko, a brand that releases select Huawei budget smartphones with 5G support. The last device from the brand was just launched in April and it is already gearing up to debut another.

A new Wiko 5G handset has been listed in the product library of China Telecom. Let’s go through the details.

The new Wiko product is surprisingly not a rebranded Huawei smartphone

Wiko’s upcoming device is officially called Wiko Hi Enjoy 60 Pro 5G. Though it sounds like a 5G version of Huawei Enjoy 60 Pro that was released in May, it is not.

The new 5G-enabled Wiko phone not only has different specs but also a non-identical design. It has a single circular camera island on the rear and curved sides.

The handset is built around a 6.67-inch display (LCD) with a pill-shaped cutout on the top left corner. The screen offers a resolution of 2367×1080 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate.

The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage. It draws energy from a 4,300mAh battery and boots Android 11.

It features a triple camera system comprising a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide unit, and a 2 MP unspecified sensor. On the front, it has a 16MP snapper for selfies and video calls.

There’s no MicroSD card slot but the phone comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and a USB Type-C port. Last but not least, it measures 161.85 × 74.7 × 8.48mm in dimensions and weighs 195g.

The Wiko Hi Enjoy 60 Pro 5G is listed at ¥1,699 (~$240) and ¥1,899 (~$265) for 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB memory configurations, respectively. The actual price could be lower and it should be known whenever the phone goes official.

Wiko, a brand operating within the HarmonyOS ecosystem, has recently unveiled plans to launch a new 5G smartphone on April 24th. The upcoming device, known as the Wiko Hi Enjoy 60 5G, is based on Huawei’s hardware and software. It has already been listed in China Telecom’s terminal product library with the model number GAR-AN00, along with some preliminary specifications.

The brand has made an official announcement stating that the Wiko Hi Enjoy 60 5G smartphone will be launched in China on April 24th, 2023 at 14:30 local time. The teaser image accompanying the announcement showcases the phone’s rear panel in light blue and gold color variants, which resembles that of the Huawei Enjoy 60. Additionally, the camera bump on the handset features a 48-megapixel text, confirming the presence of a 48-megapixel primary lens. Moreover, the image also reveals a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

As per China Telecom’s website, the smartphone will be available in two variants: 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB. The website also confirms that the device will be offered in black, blue, and gold color options. It will boast a dual rear camera setup, with a 48-megapixel primary lens accompanied by a 2-megapixel secondary lens. The front of the device will feature an 8-megapixel selfie camera.

The Wiko Hi Enjoy 60 5G runs on the HarmonyOS platform. It is compatible with Android applications and also supports Huawei Mobile Services (HMS), which is a substitute for Google Mobile Services (GMS). In addition, the phone features NFC, GPS, and an IR blaster, providing users with a variety of connectivity options.

In terms of technical specifications, the Wiko Hi Enjoy 60 5G smartphone will feature a 6.7-inch waterdrop notch display. The handset will come equipped with a 6000mAh built-in battery and a 3.5mm headphone jack. According to the listing, the 128GB variant of the device will be priced at CNY 1,399 (~$203) and the 256GB variant at 1,599 (~$232). For instance, the Huawei Enjoy 60 comes with a price tag of CNY 1,499 ($230) for the 128GB model and CNY 1,699 ($260) for the 256GB model.

There is only one discernible difference between the Huawei Enjoy 60 and the Wiko Hi Enjoy 60, which is the chipset used. While the Huawei model incorporates the Kirin 710A chipset, the Wiko variant utilizes the MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset, which also enables 5G connectivity. That being said, what do you think about the upcoming Wiko smartphone? Do let us know by dropping a comment in your words down below.

Back in December 2022, the Wiko 5G (rebranded Huawei Nova 9 SE) was officially launched in China as a smartphone that supports the newer and faster bandwidth and runs on Huawei’s HarmonyOS. Now, it appears that a brand is working on another new 5G enabled handset. So here are all the details.

A new Wiko 5G device has recently passed through China’s TENAA certification website. For those unaware, every device sold in the region has to pass through this certification ahead of official release, so it is clear that the company is working on a new 5G smartphone. Unfortunately, finer details regarding this device like its specifications and pricing are still at large. Although, we know that is carries the model number GAR-AN00.

Furthermore, this device will run on HarmonyOS, which is Huawei’s proprietary operating system, and is approved to support 5G networking as well. The previous Wiko 5G model was equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC, so it is possible that the next gen model will also feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon series SoC or maybe even a MediaTek Dimensity chip. It is unclear if this model will be a more expensive model compared to the Wiko 5G which is a mid range device.

This model sported a tall 6.78 inch LCD panel that has a Full HD+ resolution, a center aligned punch hole selfie camera, and a high 120Hz refresh rate. The device was powered by a 4,000mAh battery pack that supports 66W fast charging as well. The Wiko 5G was launched in China for 1,999 Yuan (roughly 290 US Dollars), so we can expect the next gen model to be around this same price point or possibly higher if its similar to a flagship grade device.

Recently, a 5G Wiko smartphone with model number LFT-AN00 and running on Android OS was certified by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. There were also reports that an upcoming Wiko 5G smartphone has adopted Huawei’s smart selection platform. The new phone was said to be similar to the 5G version of Huawei’s nova 9 SE and China Mobile’s Hi nova 9 SE but neither Huawei nor WIKO responded.

Now, WIKO Mobile has officially teased its upcoming smartphone and it is a 5G model that will be the first HarmonyOS Connect product. The smartphone will be officially released on December 27.

As per the teaser poster, the WIKO 5G phone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset which places it in the premium mid-range category. The device will equally feature a mammoth 108MP main camera paired with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle, a 2MP macro, and a 2MP depth of field lens in a Quad camera arrangement. The selfie camera will be a 16-megapixel sensor.

In addition, the Wiko 5G phone will get its juice from a built-in 4000mAh battery and supports 66W super-fast charging. The smartphone packs a 6.78-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The device will be available in two colors.

What makes this partnership interesting is that the WIKO mobile phone brand was established in 2011, and its business is mainly carried out in overseas markets such as Europe and Thailand. Among them, the French market is the most prominent. In early 2012, France opened up its non-carrier-attached smartphone market and WIKO was one of the early beneficiaries. Three years later, the brand ranked behind only Samsung in terms of market share in France. It remains to be seen if this HarmonyOS-powered model will be sold outside China.

Out of this turbulent water comes a report bothering on the US smartphone market performance in the second quarter of the year.

The report published by Canalys stands out in several ways but the major reason why we find this surprising is the disclosure that 70% of smartphones that were shipped in the US in Q2 2020 were manufactured by Chinese OEMs. This is noted to be 10% higher than the estimate for Q1 2020 which was estimated to be 60%.

The report equally shows that the COVID 19 pandemic was responsible for the spike in demand for cheap phones most of which were manufactured in China. This is due to consumers adopting a cost-conscious approach towards spending as a result of job loss and a slowed-down economy. The average price of a phone sold in the US dropped to $503, or 10% less than a year earlier. Also, more people signing up for Lifeline, an assistance program that offers subsidized phone service for low-income families contributed to the jump in the sales of low-end Android devices.

As expected, Apple is still the brand to beat in the US with a 10% jump in shipment compared to last year. The iPhone SE 2020 which was launched for $399 is one of the company’s top-selling model in Q2 2020 which is a reflection of a reduction in consumer’s spending power.

Other brands that also saw a rise in their shipments include Lenovo-owned Motorola with an 8% rise in shipment Year-on-Year. Also, low-cost brands such as Unimax and Wiko also recorded improved shipments.

Samsung’s shipments were flat year-over-year as sales of budget phones like the Galaxy A10e and A20 mitigated the shortfalls recorded from uninspiring sales of flagships like the S20. LG’s numbers dipped 19% over the same period, but it was considered relatively stable. And Chinese connections weren’t a guarantee of success — TCL saw its shipments plunge 43% despite

Canalys also opined that the volatile US-China tensions were creating a “perpetual state of uncertainty” for virtually every phone maker beyond Samsung and LG. Thus, the market may not rebound for phone makers even after the pandemic unless the political climate settles down.

The Wiko Y80 might just be the first of such devices.

The full specs and price of the Wiko Y80 were revealed in a tweet by Roland Quandt. The phone has a 5.99-inch HD+ IPS display. There is no notch and the bezels are fairly thick. The Wiko Y80 is powered by the Unisoc SC9863A (Unisoc was formerly known as Spreadtrum), the same chip inside the Alcatel 1s. The SoC is a 28nm Cortex-A55 octa-core chipset clocked at 1.6GHz with a PowerVR IMG8322 GPU. There is 16GB or 32GB of storage.

The Wiko Y80 has dual rear cameras – a 13MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. There is a 5MP sensor in front for selfies. The cameras are arranged vertically with an LED flash below the setup. Unfortunately, there is no fingerprint scanner. The phone packs a 4,000mAh battery and runs Android Pie (Go Edition).

In France, almost no one does know a Wiko smartphone brand, In 2013, Wiko sartphone got the sales in French market for 18%, they go ranked in third position.

However, in general the French people do not know is, Wiko phone “France” is actually the Chinese mobile phone manufacturers but this is not a popular Chinese smartphone manufacturer such as Lenovo, Huawei, nor Xiaomi or Meizu. Who is Wiko?

As we all know, the smart phone market share in Europe and America is dominate by Applea dn Samsung but we all know that those brand is offers with very high price for most of users.

Europeans and Americans are accustomed to buy a mobile phone contract to buy machines, for about 2-3 years, the monthly pay at least 30-50 euros or dollars. If the iPhone 5S 32GB price of U.S. $ 749 price, a one-time payment, European and American working class could not afford, the French working class is no exception.

Wiko success in France, precisely because grasp the expensive iPhone to stay in the market. Wiko is founded in early 2011 in Marseille, France, in 2012, that is in the local mobile phone sales reached 200 million units. Wiko users do not have monthly payments, and operators do not have to sign any binding contract, you can get a price between 150-200 euros per unit.

Of course, low price, good performance and does not guarantee the success of a mobile phone on the market. Wiko using its “Made in France” market strategy and that’s make Wiko sucessfully in France market.

The main work Wiko French team that design and marketing. A 65-person team, in addition to four engineers, others are busy with local design, marketing, advertising, distributor relations and customer service.

But actually, Wiko has a headquartered in Shenzhen, Choina. A company called “ten long mobile” is develop Wiko, they team behind the Wiko smartphone for France. In 2011, the company has success to sold 14 million handsets – equivalent to annual sales of $ 320 million USD.
