Recent leaks have revealed the pricing of OnePlus 6 for markets like China and India. A lot of information of its specs have also surfaced in the recent weeks. Leaked photos have already revealed that the front and rear appearance of the OnePlus 6. Moreover, the company has been teasing the different features of the OP6 since a few weeks. Hence, the rumor mill has been speculating that the Chinese manufacturer may debut it by the end of this month. However, a leaked photo that has appeared today states that OnePlus would be launching the OnePlus 6 on May 5.
The OnePlus 3 was unveiled in June 2016 and the OnePlus 5 was launched in the same month last year. At the start of this year, OnePlus CEO Carl Pei had claimed that the OnePlus 6 will be debuting at the end of Q2. Hence, early rumors had suggested that the OnePlus 6 may launch in June this year. However, newer information have claimed that the company may debut it as early as at the end of April. However, the newly leaked poster reveals May 5 launch date for it in China.
The image seems to be coming from China’s JingDong mall (JD.com) as it is known for teasing upcoming phones by covering it with a red cloth. However, the authenticity of the image could not be confirmed since the image was not available on the official website or social accounts of JD. The image states that OnePlus 6 will be unveiled at 2 PM in Shenzhen.
OnePlus is known for launching its smartphones first in overseas market and then making announcement on its unveil event for China. Hence, the appearance of OnePlus 6’s China launch invitation suggests that it could be fake image. If the May 5 launch date for China is true then the OnePlus 6 may get announced by April end.
OnePlus 6 is already confirmed to arrive with Snapdragon 845 SoC, 8 GB of RAM and a native storage of 256 GB. Since the handset is soon expected to appear at DxOMark professional camera evaluation platform, the OP6 is expected to deliver stellar photography experience.
