Last year, Huawei had launched Maimang 6 smartphone. The very same phone was made available as Mate 10 Lite in European markets. The Mate 10 Lite / Maimang 6 was launched ahead of the Mate 10 series that was unveiled in October 2017. Today, the Maimang 7 has appeared on TENAA with its images. However, the TENAA listing of the smartphone is yet to be populated with its entire specifications. It is very likely that the Maimang 7 will be arriving in the European markets as Mate 20 Lite. Now that the handset has appeared on the website of the Chinese telecom regulatory body, there is a possibility that the company may launch the Maimang 7 soon in China.

A new Huawei phone that has a model number of SNE-AL00 has appeared on TENAA. It was recently revealed that model numbers such as SNE-AL00, SN-AL00B, SNE-LX1, SNE-LX2, SNE-LX3 and SNE-TL00 all belong to the upcoming Mate 20 Lite. As mentioned above, the SNE-AL00 could be landing in China as Maimang 7.

The front image of the smartphone does not clearly reveal whether the Maimang 7 will be featuring a notched display or not. However, the handset seems to be fitted with dual front cameras. The layout of the camera sensors suggest that the Maimang 7 may feature a notched display. If the Mate 20 Lite arrives with a notched screen, there is a possibility that the Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro may feature the same kind of display.

A recent report has claimed that because of the presence of 3D structured light module, the Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro could be equipped with notched screens. The rear side of the Maimang 7 which seems to be made out of glass features a vertically arranged dual camera system. Below it is a fingerprint scanner. There is a Maimang logo at the bottom portion on the back panel which confirms the identity of the smartphone. The appearance of the rear panel of Maimang 6 is similar to Mate 10 Porsche Design smartphone.

The Kirin 659 had powered the Maimang 6. Hence, it is very likely that the Kirin 710 may power the Maimang 7. Like the Mate 20 and Mate 20 series, it may also run on EMIU 9 based Android 9.0 P. Last year, the Maimang was released on Sept. 22 in China. Hence, there is a possibility that the company may announce the Maimang 7 by the end of this month or early September.
