Since Xiaomi‘s Mi Band manufacturer, Huami got listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) in the early part of the year, the brand has been busy rolling out its existing product cache in the U.S and other regions. We haven’t seen new products launching in China except for the Xiaomi Mi Band 3 and the Amazfit Antelope sports shoes. The Chinese firm has now rolled out a teaser which shows it has got an event lined up for September 15.
The poster was first spotted on Huami’s Weibo page with some texts which indicate the event is related to the company’s third-year anniversary. Huami has already gone live with a product page on its China website where a countdown is already running with 6 days and some minutes left as at the time of reporting.
The NYSE-listed company may likely unveil a new product or even several new products but there is no clue to the product that would be launched. It may likely be a new smartwatch or smart band. It could also be a customized edition of Huami’s smartwatch or band to commemorate the company’s third anniversary. Huami may release more details of the upcoming conference as the day gets closer. If that doesn’t happen, we’ll have to wait till September 17 to find out what the company has in store for us.
