Google announced the Android 13 OS earlier this month and many OEMs have already joined the party with their respective Android skins. OnePlus has already rolled out the OxygenOS 13 beta to the OnePlus 10 Pro. Samsung is not behind either, the company recently started beta testing One UI 5.0, the latest iteration of its skin based on Android 13. Now a new leak suggests One UI 5.0 public release may take place in mid-October.
Twitter user @RoderSuper claims that Samsung’s One UI 5.0 based on Android 13 will be released officially on either October 17 or October 19 (Via Sammobile). The update will initially roll out to the Galaxy S22 series which includes the Galaxy S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra smartphones.

One UI 5.0 beta program started a couple of weeks ago, so October seems like a pretty reasonable time for the company to release the finalized version. There is still more than a month to the expected launch, which means Samsung will get enough time to fix any unforeseen bugs and issues.
There’s no official word on the release of One UI 5.0 and the source of this news does not have a proven track record, so we suggest you take the info with a pinch of salt.
One UI 5.0 is expected to bring loads of customization, security, and accessibility features. With the new version, users will be able to choose from 16 preset color themes based on their wallpaper. It will have an option to stack widgets on top of each other in order to save some space on the homescreen.
Further, the OS will enable multilingual users to set different preferred languages per app. Also, it will carry advanced controls for blocking distracting notifications from apps.
