The Redmi Pad made its global debut in India in early October. Later on the same day, it was announced for multiple international markets.
However, the tablet made its way to China only last week. As per the brand, the product is selling like hotcakes in its home country.

Redmi says that it sold more than 75,000 units of Redmi Pad during the first sale, which ran for 28 hours. That’s an impressive sales figure given that global tablet shipments declined by 8.8% YoY in Q3 2022.
The Redmi Pad is not only one of the most affordable tablets on the market right now but it is also the most feature-rich for the asking price. This could be one of the reasons why it sold more in China.
The device is priced at ¥1,299 ($178) and ¥1,499 ($206) for 4GB + 128GB and 6GB + 128GB memory configurations in the country. However, for a limited time, it is being offered at a discount of ¥100 ($14).
The Redmi Pad comes with features like a metal unibody design, a 10.6-inch WUXGA+ (2000 x 1200 pixels) 90Hz display (LCD), a MediaTek Helio G99 SoC, LPDDR4x RAM, UFS 2.2 storage, MIUI 13 Pad based on Android 12, quad speakers, a MicroSD card slot, a USB Type-C port, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.3, an 8MP rear camera, and an 8MP front-facing camera.
It is backed by an 8,000mAh battery with support for 18W charging. Last but not least, it arrives in three colors, such as grey, silver, and green.
