iQOO 12 and 12 Pro are expected to next big releases from the Vivo subsidiary. The two phones should launch towards the end of this year and we’re already seeing a lot of leaks about them. The smartphones were previously reported to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and support fast wired and wireless charging. And now a popular Chinese tipster has revealed their display specs alongside other important details.

Tipster Digital Chat Station has shared some new specifications of the iQOO 12 smartphones. He suggests the device will get a 144Hz Samsung E7 AMOLED panel that offers a 2K resolution. The tipster also mentions the OmniVision OV64B periscope zoom camera, something the tipster highlighted in previous leaks as well. DCS did not specify but it’s possible the camera sensor could be limited to the iQOO 12 Pro.
Furthermore, the iQOO 12 series is rumored to feature a metal build and support 200W fast charging. Additionally, both phones are expected to come equipped with an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner and a USB Type-C 3.x port. The tipster, known for their impeccable track record with Chinese flagship devices, adds credibility to these details.
As mentioned, both smartphones could be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, which should launch in October. We won’t be surprised to see the topmost configuration of the iQOO 12 Pro with 24 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage. Both iQOO 12 and 12 Pro should run Origin OS 4.0 based on Android 14 out of the box.
