Huawei, having recently launched its Pura 70 series smartphones, is now reportedly focusing on its Nova 13 series. While specific information about these new smartphones is scarce, leaks from tipster “Smart Pikachu” have shed some light on what we can expect.

According to the leak, all Nova 13 phones will support 5G connectivity. It’s particularly noteworthy because the Huawei Nova 12 series has some models, like the base Nova 12 SE, that are stuck with 4G.

While the exact processor for the Nova 13 series remains uncertain, the tipster suggests it might use the new Kirin 9010 chip, which made its debut with the recent Huawei Pura 70 series smartphones.

On the front, the Nova 13 series is expected to come with a curved display boasting a 1.5K resolution.

While the camera details are scarce, the tipster hints at the possibility of a rear camera setup with a periscope lens and variable aperture support. Also, the lineup is said to prioritize the selfie experience by including dual front cameras.

There are also rumors suggesting that the Nova 13 series smartphones will support two-way Beidou satellite communication technology. This feature would enable users to send and receive messages through Beidou satellites, even in areas without terrestrial network coverage.

Apart from this, there isn’t much information available regarding the specifications of the Huawei Nova 13 series. However, regarding its launch, the lineup is expected to debut in the second quarter of 2024. We’ll keep you updated on any new developments as they come in.
