A new Vivo phone has surfaced on the Google Play Console certification website. It is the Vivo Y100 GT. The device will be a new addition to the Vivo Y100 series that includes the Y100, Y100i, and Y100i Power which debuted last year. Recently, the Vivo G2 also surfaced on the Play Console database. The certification listing reveals the key specifications of the Y100 GT.

On the Google Play Console certification website, the Vivo Y100 GT carries a model number PD2314. The render of the smartphone reveals a curved display surrounded by thin bezels and a centre-aligned punch-hole cutout. It will have a display resolution of 1080 x 2,388 pixels and a 480 dpi screen density.

As per the listing, the Vivo Y100 GT will be powered by a MediaTek MT6896 processor comprising of a Cortex A78 core clocked at 3.1GHz, three Cortex-A78 cores at 3GHz and four Cortex-A55 cores ticking at 2GHz. It has a Mali-G610 GPU onboard. From the chipset configuration, it’s likely that the processor is Dimensity 8200. The listing reveals 12GB RAM onboard and we can expect more variants at launch. The smartphone will ship with Android 13 OS out of the box.

The rest of the details of the Vivo Y100 GT remain a mystery. We can expect more details about the smartphone to surface in the coming weeks. At the CES 2024, Rabbit company unveiled the Rabbit R1, an innovative handheld gadget. The Rabbit R1 is the company’s inaugural product and stands out with its compact, square design and red-orange color.

The battery is designed for all-day use, and the device includes a unique rotatable camera “eye” which works as a selfie or rear camera.

Additionally, the Rabbit R1 is equipped with a large scroll wheel and a side button for initiating calls. It also has a pair of far-field microphones for voice command input, although it lacks full smartphone functionality despite having a SIM card slot.

Its primary goal is to act as a bridge between users and their smartphones, including iPhones and other devices. The process of training the Rabbit R1 model is consistent across various categories of tasks, including making restaurant reservations, booking airline tickets, adding songs to Spotify playlists, and more. The model’s ability to understand and execute voice commands extends to a wide range of functions and services. This approach differs from traditional user interactions where one would first open an app and then execute the desired action.

Rabbit’s approach with the R1 seems to echo the path taken by Humane’s Ai Pin, focusing on controlling existing user applications through AI, rather than performing tasks independently.

Priced at $199, it offers a cost-effective alternative to Humane’s products and does not require a subscription. The Rabbit R1 is currently available for pre-order, with shipping expected to commence in March.

A teaser shared by Realme India on its X handle reveals that the Realme 12 Pro series 5G will debut this month in the country. It says ‘See you on XX Jan, 2024’. Since, the brand is teasing series, we can expect the lineup to comprise the Realme 12 Pro 5G and Pro+ 5G variants. Realme is also teasing the upcoming offerings with hashtag #PeriscopeOver200MP. However, it remains to be seen if both devices will come with the periscope lens. It seems that Realme is taking a subtle dig at the recently unveiled Redmi Note 13 Pro phones that feature 200MP camera sensor.

The Realme 12 Pro series 5G is also confirmed to be available from Flipkart. The brand has not divulged in to the rest of the details about the upcoming offerings. But the exact launch date and more teasers are expected to follow in the coming days.

Previously it was reported that the Realme 12 Pro+ will be powered by a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 whereas the Pro is expected to be equipped with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset. Vivo is reportedly working on the third-generation flagship tablet, the Vivo Pad 3, for the Chinese market. It is expected to launch along with the Vivo X100s and the Vivo X Fold 3 series of foldable phones later in the ongoing quarter of the year. Tipster Digital Chat Station has previously claimed that the Vivo Pad 3 will have a larger display as compared to the predecessor models. In a new leak, the leaker has mentioned its display size and resolution. In addition, he revealed the fast charging capabilities and reiterated the chipset of the Pad 3.

To recall, the first-generation Vivo Pad tablet that debuted in 2022 featured an 11-inch LCD panel with support for 1600 x 2560 pixels. The Vivo Pad 2, which debuted last year, offered a 2.8K resolution of 1968 x 2800 pixels. The latest leak by DCS suggests that the Vivo Pad 3 will feature a larger 13-inch LCD panel that will offer 3K resolution.

As previously revealed by the leaker, the Vivo Pad 3 will have the Dimensity 9300 under the hood. The exact battery size of the device is not known yet, but the new leak states that it will support 80W fast charging.

Unfortunately, the other details of the Vivo Pad 3 are yet to be revealed. Hopefully, the upcoming reports will shed more details about the tablet.

Vivo’s sub-brand is also said to be working on as many as two tablets. One of them appears to be a rebranded version of the Vivo Pad 3 that may launch later this year. Honor will unveil the Honor Magic 6 series of smartphones tomorrow in China. Today, the brand will unveil the Magic OS 8.0 for the home market. A day before the launch tipster Digital Chat Station has leaked what appears to be the camera specifications of the Magic 6 and Magic 6 Pro.

In the latest leak, DCS has talked about the camera specifications of upcoming photography-focused flagship phones. Hence, it appears he could be talking about the Magic 6 and 6 Pro. The leak suggests that the standard model will have a 50-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 32-megapixel telephoto camera with support for 2.5x optical zoom.

On the other hand, the Honor Magic 6 Pro will have a 50-megapixel primary camera with a 1/1.3-inch camera sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 180-megapixel (1/1.49-inch) periscope telephoto camera with 2.5x optical zoom. The tipster did not mention anything about the camera specifications of the Honor Magic 6 RSR, which is said to be a special version designed in collaboration with Porsche Design Studio.

As per reports, the Magic 6 RSR could be the world’s first smartphone to feature a one-inch OmniVision OV50K primary camera. An ultra-wide lens and a periscope telephoto camera are likely to be present, but their details are not available yet.

As per reports, the Honor Magic 6 series will have a 5,400mAh battery with 66W charging support. On the other hand, the Magic 6 Pro and Magic 6 RSR will have a 5,600mAh battery with 88W wired and 66W wireless charging support. According to reports, all three Magic 6 series of smartphones will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.

Vivo has just launched the Vivo X100 and X100 flagship phones in some markets outside of China. Now, the brand is said to be working on the Vivo V30 series of smartphones for the global market. It is speculated that the upcoming V30 and V30 Pro smartphones are rebranded or tweaked versions of the Vivo S18 and S18 Pro smartphones that debuted in China in December 2023. Ahead of the expected launch, the Vivo V30 has received certification from the UAE’s TDRA certification platform.

With many certifications under the belt, it appears that the Vivo V30 may launch within the first quarter of this year.

The Vivo V30 is expected to feature a 6.78-inch curved-edge AMOLED panel that offers a 1.5K resolution of 1260 x 2800 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. The device is expected to run on FunTouch OS 14-based Android 14.

Asus recently introduced a range of new devices at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2024 in Las Vegas, including the global launch of the ROG Phone 8 and ROG Phone 8 Pro, targeted at gaming enthusiasts. Following this, the Taiwanese company has now disclosed the pricing details for the ROG Phone 8 Pro in the Indian market.

The ROG Phone 8 and Phone 8 Pro share identical specifications, with the former featuring an Aura RGB LED logo on the back and the latter equipped with an AniMe Vision mini-LED system on its rear side. In addition, the two phones differ in terms of RAM and storage configurations. In India, the company is only offering the ROG Phone 8 Pro in two variants.

The ROG Phone 8 Pro, which comes with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage, is priced at Rs 94,999 (~$1,142). On the other hand, the ROG Phone 8 Pro Edition, offering 24 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage, costs Rs 1,19,999 (~$1,444). It comes in Phantom Black color only. The brand is also selling the AeroActive Cooler X accessory for Rs 5,999 (~$722).

Asus is yet to declare the sale date of the ROG Phone 8 Pro. However, it has been confirmed that the device will be sold via Vijay Sales, Asus Exclusive stores, Asus ROG stores, and the Asus e-shop.

The SOON Mini has been launched for the global market. This comes just weeks after it was first unveiled by the Chinese firm SOONNOOZ. the device is a mini PC that comes with a detachable speaker. The mini PC’s front panel functions as a standalone Bluetooth speaker. The SOON Mini has an unusual design and comes with original features as its main talking point.

Features

The SOON Mini adopts a rounded chassis with a small physical lever for volume modulation on the top left, while a power button is on the right. Two knobs on the sides of the SOON Mini help to attach a shoulder strap for carrying the mini PC. It is available in black, gray, and white color variants.

The SOON Mini is equipped with the 11th Gen Intel Core i5 processor and an Intel Iris Xe graphics card. It offers up to 8GB of DDR4 RAM and 512GB of NVMe SSD. The SOON Mini comes with Windows 11 Home out of the box. There are two USB 3.1 Type-C ports at the rear with DisplayPort 1.4 and Power Delivery compatibility. There is also an HDMI 2.0 port which supports dual-screen 4K display. Two USB 3.0 Type-A ports are also present on the mini PC, Gigabit Ethernet q 3.5mm audio jack.

The new SOONNOOZ mini PC supports Bluetooth 5.2 and WiFi 6 connectivity. It has an integrated 6,000mAh Li-ion battery that offers greater versatility for the mini PC. Three hours of charging of the device translates to up to 8 hours of battery usage. The detachable Bluetooth speaker is another talking point for the SOON Mini. Users can play music directly from the gadget or stream content via a Bluetooth device. The volume of the detachable speaker can be adjusted independently and charges automatically when connected to the body.

XGIMI has released an impressive 3-in-1 projector together with another with its maximum brightness yet in the US. The XGIMI Aladdin is a 3-in-1 projector that is hidden inside a lamp and can also function as a Bluetooth speaker. The Horizon Max, on the other hand, has a maximum brightness of 3,100 ISO lumens and is IMAX Enhanced certified. Both projectors do not support Google TV currently, but Xgimi says this will come on stream later.

The Xgimi Horizon Max is a 4K smart projector with a Dual-Light 2.0 laser and LED hybrid light source. It delivers an impressive maximum brightness of 3,100 lumens but this is yet to be verified independently. Xgimi has been guilty of overstating the maximum brightness of its models in the past. Indeed, the company had even faced a lawsuit about false claims, instituted by Epson. The projector has a contrast ratio of 2000:1, with DTS audio support and improved color accuracy.

XGIMI’s Aladdin 3-in-1 projector soars over the room like Aladdin on his magic carpet

The Horizon Max is IMAX Enhanced certified and can play IMAX Enhanced content from streaming platforms. The Horizon Max also features Intelligent Screen Adaptation (ISA) 5.0 for easy placement. The Xgimi Horizon Max has features that remember wall settings for an optimized projection. The ISA architecture can also adapt gaming settings or movie settings as required.

The Xgimi Aladdin projector attaches directly to the light socket on your ceiling. It outputs 1080p images up to 100 inches. You can use the projector’s remote control to directly control the integrated lamp. The Xgimi app can also be used to control the projector but it is not compatible with Matter or other smart home systems. The Aladdin is equipped with Harman Kardon speakers that deliver 360-degree surround sound.

Pricing & Availability

There are no pricing details and exact release dates for the new Xgimi projectors at this time. However, Xgimi says the Horizon Max will be priced below $3,000 and will ship later this year, but the Aladdin optics will be announced later.
