Some of its major features include a 90Hz LCD screen, 50-megapixel dual rear cameras, up to 12 GB of RAM, up to 256 GB of storage, and a huge 6,000mAh battery. The Honor Play 50 Plus (model number CLK-AN00) has a 6.8-inch IPS LCD panel with a punch-hole design. It offers a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a 90Hz refresh rate, a 20:09 aspect ratio, and up to 850 nits of brightness. The device comes preinstalled with the Magic OS 7.2-based Android 13.

Under the hood, the Honor Play 50 Plus has the Dimensity 6020 chipset. The device is backed by a 6,000mAh battery that supports 35W rapid charging. It offers up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of storage.

For selfies, the Play 50 Plus has an 8-megapixel camera on the front. Its rear panel has a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and an LED flash.

The A2x is an entry-level 5G phone that offers key features, such as a 90Hz display, a Dimensity chip, a big battery, and up to 256 GB of storage. Here is a look at the specifications, features, and price of the device.

Starting from the front, the Oppo A2x has a 6.56-inch LCD display with teardrop notch that offers an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1612 pixels, a 90Hz refresh rate, up to 720 nits of brightness, and 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut. The phone runs on ColorOS 13.1-based Android 13 and comes equipped with a side-facing fingerprint scanner.

The Oppo A2x comes with 6 GB / 8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128 GB / 256 GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The device is powered by the Dimensity 6020 chipset and packs a 5,000mAh battery, but there is no information about its fast charging capabilities.

The official listing does not disclose about the cameras of the Oppo A2x. As per the TENAA listing of the device, it seems to be equipped with a 13-megapixel primary camera with LED flash on the back. On the front, it appears to have a 5-megapixel selfie camera. Japanese display manufacturer Iiyama recently unveiled a new 34″ 2K gaming monitor across the world. The brand has now announced that a modest multipurpose 27-inch monitor will also be launched soon called the Iiyama G-Master G2755HSU.

The G2755HSU monitor features a 27-inch VA panel with a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels at a 100Hz refresh rate within a 16:9 aspect ratio. Xiaomi continues its innovative drive with a new smart home product. The product is simply named Xiaomi Smart Home Panel and it is presently available under crowdfunding for 299 yuan ($41). However, the device will retail for 329 yuan (~$45) after the crowdfunding exercise.

Specs & Features

The Xiaomi Smart Home Panel is revealed to be the brand’s first wall-mounted smart central control screen by Redmi mobile phone marketing manager Zhang Yu. It is also the first wall-mounted central control screen with a built-in XiaoAI voice control system. Well, that is because XiaoAI was developed by Xiaomi and used on the brand’s smart home gadgets only.

In terms of the specs, the Xiaomi Smart Home Panel is equipped with a 3.23-inch touch screen and 3 physical buttons, continuing the ordinary switch usage habit. However, users also get the option of controlling the gadget using voice prompts. Users can also use XiaoAI voice control to set alarm clocks, open smart devices or execute scenes, all with just their mouths.

The device also comes with a built-in Bluetooth Mesh gateway that can connect 100 Bluetooth Mesh devices and 100 Bluetooth sub-devices at the same time. In addition, the device is said to be capable of controlling more than 5,500 smart devices. It also supports smart device linkage as well as the customization of multiple personalized smart scenes such as sleeping, watching movies, and leaving the home.

It is worth mentioning that the Xiaomi Smart Home Panel supports local control and can be used with a central gateway. Xiaomi says that even if the network is occasionally disconnected, designated devices can be operated by touch.

In terms of installation, the product adopts standard 86-box specifications and can be installed without modification. However, it should be noted that the Xiaomi smart home panel requires a neutral line before installation.

The new way seems intuitive and can be worth checking while having informal communication with your friends and family. Adding Emojis in Gmail seems like “bringing the fun to your inbox.”

Over time, Emails have become quite formal, and even their use is getting limited for some formal communication. The new initiative to add emojis seems like bringing back some charm to communication which was once termed as “evolution”.

The emojis in Gmail can be quite expressive rather than the words. It would be great to react with emojis on some hotel reservation emails, or if a friend or family shared your childhood photo over the mail. There could be many such instances where reactions would be better than typing some text back as a reply.

Google is rolling out the reactions support in Gmail for its iOS and Android apps. The users will start receiving support on both the mobile and desktop clients from this month. However, the feature won’t work if you are using any third-party email client like Outlook, etc. Instead, the reaction would be sent as a reply to the email.

So, don’t be surprised if you see emojis as a reaction to some email in the near future.

The Ambrane Fyre smartwatch features a 2.04-inch AMOLED display with a curved glass screen, offering a resolution of 368×448 pixels. It comes in four colors and has adjustable straps for comfort. The display includes an Always-On-Display feature and reaches a brightness level of 800 nits.

The smartwatch offers over 100 sports modes and customizable watch faces. It has IP67 water and dust resistance, voice assistance, weather updates, camera, and music controls, a calculator, raise-to-wake, screen time tracking, and locating services for your phone and watch.

In terms of connectivity, it has Bluetooth 5.2 and supports Bluetooth calling with built-in microphones. It offers up to 5 days of battery life. Health features include real-time heart rate and SpO2 monitoring, breath training, sleep analysis, and heart rate alerts. It’s compatible with Google Fit and Apple Health.

Logitech has launched a new ergonomic keyboard, the Wave Keys, which is designed to help users work in a more natural posture. The keyboard features a wave-shaped compact design that allows the shoulders to be in a more natural position. Let’s talk about the Wave Keys in more detail here.

Starting with the design, the keyboard has a unique wave-shaped keyframe, with the keys arranged in a curved layout to help reduce strain on the hands and wrists. The number pad, on the other hand, has a classic design. Logitech offers the Wave Keys in two colors—grey and white.

Logitech is also committed to sustainability, as it uses 46% post-consumer plastic in the white variant and 61% post-consumer plastic in the gray model. The Wave Keys also has a comfortable wrist rest with three layers of support materials, including deep memory foam and a +4° tilt bracket. The soft-touch surface is easy to clean.

You can pair the keyboard to your device via Bluetooth or the included Logi Bolt receiver. It also supports Easy-Switch, which allows users to switch between computers, tablets, or mobile phones with one click. The keyboard can connect to 3 devices at the same time. Likewise, it has a battery life of up to three years, but it, of course, depends upon your usage pattern.

The company recommends pairing the Wave Keys keyboard with its Lift vertical mouse, which has a 57° inclination design that can raise the wrist, reduce pressure, and reduce forearm twists.

The Wave Keys keyboard will go on sale in Germany on October 11th for 99.99 euros. As mentioned earlier, it will be available in two colors, Off-White and Graphite.

OnePlus Nord starts receiving Oxygen OS F.22 Update

It’s been more than 3 years, since the launch of OnePlus Nord, and as promised the smartphone is still receiving security patch updates. Following the past trend, here comes a new security patch with the OxygenOS F.22 firmware update. The update is rolling out to the OnePlus Nord India variant.

The firmware AC2001_11.F.22 bundles the September 2023 Security patch which will improve the system security and stability. It is an incremental update and may reach each unit after successful verification of the update on a small set of users. So, the users can expect it in the next few days to a few weeks.

OnePlus Nord users can check for the update manually by heading to Settings > About Menu > Check for Updates.

In case, the users find any bug or issue after the update, they can always submit feedback by visiting the OnePlus Community or by typing *#800# on the Google Dialer.

OnePlus Oxygen OS 14 Update Program

OnePlus Nord will not receive the OxygenOS 14, but new smartphones are in line for the update. The Chinese smartphone maker is diligently working on the Oxygen OS 14 which is based on the latest Android 14. The Closed Beta is already in full swing for some flagship and mid-range smartphones including OnePlus 11 Series, OnePlus 11R, OnePlus 10 Series, and OnePlus 9 Series.

Along with the CBT, the OxygenOS 14 Open Beta is already out for OnePlus 11, and the full timeline is published for compatible smartphones.
