The next Samsung flagships are scheduled to launch next year in January, and we are already seeing a flurry of leaks revealing their hardware details. As usual, the Ultra model, the Galaxy S24 Ultra, is taking the spotlight. The smartphone is expected to debut with a stealthier camera system, possibly featuring a new 200MP camera sensor. The zoom camera department should also see some changes, with a tipster now suggesting a 48MP telephoto lens on the device.
Tipster Itnyang (@hyacokr_itnyang), whose account is no longer found on Twitter/X, claimed that the Galaxy S24 Ultra will have to settle for a 48MP sensor with 5x zoom. The source said that Samsung had originally planned to use a 50MP sensor with 10x zoom, but abandoned those plans due to concerns about image quality.
We managed to capture the Screenshot of the now deleted X post
In a separate leak, tipster Ice Universe claimed that the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will have a 50MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. The sensor is said to be 1/2.52 inches, which is larger than the 1/3.52-inch sensor used in the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s 10MP telephoto camera. The same tipster also revealed that the Galaxy S24 Ultra will get the 200MP ISOCELL HP2SX camera sensor, a more optimized version of the ISOCELL HP2 used in the Galaxy S23 Ultra. It reportedly has an optical format of 0.7692 inches and an individual pixel size of 0.7 micrometers.
We might see an overall stealthier camera system on the Galaxy S24 Ultra. That said, the handset will bring other hardware improvements as well. For one, it is expected to feature a titanium frame, a brighter OLED panel, and a faster processor, which could be either Exynos 2400 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
Oppo launched the Find N3 Flip smartphone at the end of August, and it went on open sale today (September 8). The brand has now shared the first sales report of the smartphone and apparently, the Find N3 Flip has been a success in China, despite the competition from Huawei’s Mate 60 series.
Reportedly, the Find N3 Flip became the top-selling Android phone in the 6,000+ yuan price range, with sales up 91% from the previous generation. The Find N3 Flip was launched at a starting price of 6,799 yuan (~$932) for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage model.
As per the report, Chinese users on Weibo dubbed Find N3 Flip as the “Wang Feng Machine” because the device have been repeatedly “cut off” by the Huawei Mate 60 series. Wang Feng is a Chinese singer who is known for his bad luck in releasing new albums. However, Oppo has not been discouraged by the competition from Huawei and did amazingly well in the 6K+ price segment.
The Huawei Mate 60 series also had strong sales, with 1 million units sold in just 5 days. Having said that, Oppo has not yet released the sales figures (number of units sold) for the Find N3 Flip.
Talking about the device specs, the Find N3 Flip is a clamshell foldable phone with a 6.80-inch inner screen and a 3.26-inch outer screen. Both displays use AMOLED technology, with the inner screen supporting a flexible design, 1~120Hz adaptive refresh rate, and up to 240Hz touch sampling rate.
It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9200 SoC, has 12GB of RAM, and 256GB or 512GB of storage. The phone has a 4,300mAh battery with 44W fast charging and runs on ColorOS 13.2 based on Android 13. Its camera system consists of a 50-megapixel main camera, a 32-megapixel telephoto camera, and a 48-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera.
Amidst escalating China-U.S. tensions and Huawei’s renewed competitive vigor, China’s Apple suppliers find themselves on shaky ground. The fallout began when Beijing issued a directive instructing central government employees to cease using iPhones at work, a move that triggered a chain reaction in the tech industry.
Tech giant Apple, suffered a jarring 6.4% nosedive in its stock price over just two days, causing a staggering $190 billion loss in market capitalization. This drastic slump was a direct result of China’s stern stance on iPhone usage within government circles, sparking concerns about Apple and its supplier companies’ future prospects.
The wider ramifications of this situation were felt in the broader Chinese stock market. The CSI 300 Index, which encompasses top Chinese companies, witnessed a 0.5% dip, concluding a week marked by a 1.4% loss. The Shanghai Composite Index dipped by 0.2%, while the Shenzhen Composite Index retreated by 0.4%.
The situation escalated to the extent that Hong Kong canceled trading for both stocks and derivatives after a black rainstorm warning was issued by the Observatory. This marked the second instance in the same month that adverse weather conditions disrupted the city’s financial markets.
Among the casualties in this turmoil were Apple’s prominent suppliers. Foxconn Industrial Internet saw a 0.6% drop in its shares, closing at 19.08 yuan. Luxshare Precision Industry slid by 2%, ending at 29.35 yuan. These declines were attributed to the Chinese government’s ban on iPhones for employees focusing on investment, trade, and international affairs.
Other suppliers, including battery producer Contemporary Amperex Technology (down 1.6% to 222.94 yuan), electric vehicle manufacturer BYD (down 1.8% to 244.05 yuan), and AI server maker Inspur Electronic (down 3.3% to 35.17 yuan), also bore the brunt of the fallout. Even liquor distiller Kweichow Moutai weakened by 1.1%, closing at 1,818.50 yuan, while peer Wuliangye lost 1.3%, ending at 160.96 yuan.
Adding further pressure to Apple’s predicament in one of its largest markets, Huawei unveiled two new smartphones: the foldable Mate X5 and the Mate 60 Pro+, which showcased resilience to U.S. sanctions and drew significant global attention.
In Taiwan, a key hub for Apple suppliers, Largan Precision, known for producing camera lenses, plummeted by over 4%, while contract chipmaker TSMC fell by 0.6% on Friday.
Luxshare Precision Industry, a manufacturer of connector cables for Apple devices, including iPhones and MacBooks, as well as AirPods, also experienced a 2% decline in its shares, partly attributed to Huawei’s recent product launch.
Analysts speculate that Huawei’s resurgence could be the initial step in its efforts to challenge Apple’s dominance. As the tech battle between giants intensifies, the future remains uncertain for Apple and its suppliers in the volatile Chinese market.

Apple is officially launching the iPhone 15 series on September 12. The new phones are expected to come with several upgrades, including the use of a titanium alloy frame, instead of a stainless steel frame for the first time. Xiaomi is rumored to be the first Android manufacturer to follow suit, with its upcoming Xiaomi 14 series smartphones also expected to have a titanium alloy frame.
Xiaomi 13
In a recent post, tipster DigitalChatStation revealed that many flagship phones will be using titanium alloy in their construction by the end of this year. Xiaomi is one of the brands that is said to be using titanium alloy, specifically for the frame of the Xiaomi 14 series.
This news coincides with a post on Weibo by IceUniverse from early last month, where he said that the Xiaomi 14 Pro will be the first Android smartphone to feature a titanium alloy frame.
For those unaware, titanium alloy is a strong and lightweight material that is often used in aerospace and defense applications. It is also resistant to corrosion and wear. So, it’s expected to be a welcome addition to smartphones, as it will make them more durable and long-lasting.
Xiaomi 13

The ninth generation console wars are in full swing. While Sony’s PlayStation 5 is leading the pack, Microsoft’s Xbox Series S and X are trying to catch up. However, the competition is about to get even fiercer. Nintendo, which broke sales records with its Switch in 2017, is counting down the days to the launch of the Switch 2. As new information about the highly anticipated handheld emerges almost every day, the latest one has sparked excitement. According to rumors, the Switch 2 is rumored to have more RAM than the Xbox Series S. Here are the details…
Nintendo Switch 2 to Challenge Xbox Series S/X and PlayStation 5 with More RAM and DLSS Support
As Gizmochina editors, we continue to follow the latest developments on the Nintendo Switch 2. As you know, we recently told you that the upcoming handheld was shown at a private event at Gamescom 2023 with a limited number of people, and that its release date is imminent. Now, a leakster has leaked the amount of RAM in the device.
According to rumors, Nintendo Switch 2‘s consumer versions will have 12 GB of RAM. This represents a 300% increase over the 4 GB RAM in the current version. However, this is not the most interesting thing. As mentioned above, the Switch 2 has three very powerful competitors. However, it appears that these competitors are not as powerful as Nintendo’s handheld. To put this into context, the PS5 and Microsoft Xbox Series X both have 16 GB of RAM, while the Xbox Series S only has 10 GB.
In addition to the 12 GB of RAM, Nintendo has another surprise in store for its next-generation handheld. The company has a solution that will enable the Switch 2 to keep up with the latest technologies and eliminate the increasing hardware requirements. According to the same source, the Switch 2 will support Nvidia’s DLSS technology. In fact, it will be DLSS 3.1, which was recently announced and is only supported by the RTX 40 series graphics cards.
For those who don’t know, DLSS is an upscaling technique that uses artificial intelligence to improve the image quality of games. It works by using a neural network to learn how to upscale low-resolution images to a higher resolution, resulting in a sharper and more detailed image without the need for a more powerful graphics card. Simply put, it helps you get a smoother experience in areas where your graphics card falls short by increasing your gaming performance with the help of artificial intelligence.
Unfortunately, we have no other choice but to wait for the Nintendo Switch 2 to be announced to see if these claims are true.

Many leaks suggest that Samsung will be launching a Fan Edition smartphone later this year called the Galaxy S23 FE. This phone is said to come with different processors in different regions. Tipster Abhishek Yadav has now revealed what the device will cost in India.
As per a recent tweet by Abhishek, the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE will come with in two storage variants 128GB and 256GB. The 128GB model of the smartphone will cost Rs 54,999, while the 256GB model is said to cost Rs. 59,999. Only time will tell if the features onboard will justify these alleged prices. With that said, let’s take a look at what we know so far about the Galaxy S23 FE.
Samsung Galaxy S23 FE specs
The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE is expected to come with a 6.4-inch Full HD+ Dynamic AMOLED display that offers a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC (in some regions) and the Exynos 2200 (in others), paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. It is more than likely that the SD8 Gen 1 SoC is exclusive to the US market, while other regions will get the Exynos 2200.
When it comes to the camera setup, you can expect a triple-rear camera system consisting of a 50MP primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8MP ultrawide sensor, and a 12MP telephoto lens. For selfies, there might be a 10MP front-facing camera. Battery-wise, the phone is anticipated to pack a 4500mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging. Tecno Phantom V Flip launch confirmed
Tecno will unveil the Phantom V Flip on September 22 in Singapore. The event will begin at 3 pm local time. The company states that the upcoming clamshell device reflects their commitment to exploring new form factors and redefining the style and functionality of flip phones for passionate, fashionable, and forward-looking audiences. Apple‘s next-gen flagship smartphone launch is just around the corner. The company will unveil the brand-new iPhone 15 lineup next week, so here’s a detailed roundup of everything we know about the higher-end iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max (also rumored to be called the iPhone 15 Ultra).
Apple iPhone 15 Pro & 15 Pro Max/Ultra: Design & Display
One of the more notable changes arriving in the iPhone 15 lineup is the improvements in design. The more expensive Pro models are expected to shift away from a stainless steel to a titanium chassis. This will make the devices lighter than the previous generation while also making them stronger. Notably, titanium is already being used in the Apple Watch lineup, so it isn’t the first time the company is working with such materials.
Another major design change is the shift to a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer. The upcoming iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models might also feature a display with thinner bezels, measuring just 1.55mm which is thinner than the 2.17mm on the iPhone 14 Pro. The iPhone 15 Pro series was initially rumored to feature solid-state buttons, but these plans have reportedly been scrapped due to technical issues.
These buttons would replace the physical buttons and would employ haptic feedback to mimic the feel of a button press. But while the buttons aren’t changing, a new one might be added to the Pro models. Leaks have hinted at the new iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max possibly featuring an Action button, instead of the mute slider.
This action button may be located near the volume rockers and help perform quick tasks like launching a camera and more. On the front, the iPhone 15 Pro series is expected to feature an OLED panel that has a power-efficient display driver chip. The Pro will sport a 6.1-inch panel while the Pro Max will feature a taller 6.7-inch screen that supports Face ID and Dynamic Island cutout. The panel is expected to feature LIPO technology, which was first used in the Apple Watch Series 7.
Apple iPhone 15 Pro Series: Specs
Under the hood, both models will be equipped with the Apple A17 Bionic chipset that is based on a 3nm process and offers around 10 to 15 percent performance boost over the previous-gen chip. Unlike their predecessor, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max may feature a higher 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM instead of 6GB. The RAM isn’t the only aspect getting a bump, as the base storage is also expected to rise from 128GB to 256GB, maxing out at 2TB.
The iPhone 14 Pro is rumored to be powered by a 3,650mAh battery while the iPhone 15 Pro Max may house a 4,952mAh battery pack, which are both larger than the iPhone 14 Pro series. Rumors have hinted that the upcoming iPhone Pro series could feature 35W fast charging. On the rear, Apple will likely upgrade the camera hardware. The iPhone 15 Pro Max may arrive with a nearly 1-inch camera sensor that has a 48-megapixel sensor, sticking with the Sony IMX803. Earlier reports claimed that the upcoming iPhones may have a periscope lens as well, which would enable improved zoom capabilities.
Launch Date, Pricing, & Colors
The iPhone 15 lineup is scheduled to be announced on 12th September 2023. Apple will unveil the new devices alongside certain other products at 1:00 pm ET. The brand is apparently planning on hiking the price tag of the next-gen iPhones by a notable amount. The iPhone 15 Pro could start from 1,099 US Dollars, which is 100 US Dollars higher than the iPhone 14 Pro. Meanwhile, the iPhone 15 Pro Max/Ultra could also be 100 US Dollars more expensive as well.
Google is set to make some quality-of-life improvements to its ChromeOS. In the Canary build of the OS, @cr_c2cv on X (formerly Twitter) found a few new changes that are in the works. These changes include the option to disable the screen lock when using a trusted device, minor UI tweaks, and the ability to hide your username and profile picture on the lock screen.
ChromeOS lock screen currently shows your account’s profile picture and full name when you sign in. Not everyone wants this information to be visible, so Google is working on a feature that will allow you to hide your username and profile picture on the lock screen.
This is a welcome addition, as it gives users more control over their privacy. Google is also working on a new toggle that will allow you to define if your Chromebook unlocks automatically after entering your PIN. This option is reportedly located under Settings > Lock Screen & Sign-in.
Google is also working on a few changes to the Settings app. The Settings menu is now being tweaked to more clearly explain the difference between apps and Google Play. It will also be made more clear that removing the Google Play Store from your ChromeOS device will also disable Android apps. Previously, this page only said that you would be removing the Play Store.
There are also some changes to the ChromeOS launcher. The new launcher, which Google is calling the “Everything launcher,” will have a section for customized search results, as well as interactive cards from the Diagnostics app. These cards will show information about the CPU usage, temperature, and clock speed of the device.
Apart from this, Google is also reworking how installed apps show up in the launcher. For apps that are still being downloaded from the Play Store, the launcher will now show the app icon with “Installing…” written underneath.
These changes are currently in the Canary build of ChromeOS, which is the version of the operating system that is used for testing new features. There is no set timeline for when these changes will be rolled out to the stable version of ChromeOS, but it is likely to happen within a few months.
That said, it is important to note that Google may decide to remove or change these features before they are released to the stable version of ChromeOS. This is because Google is still testing these features and wants to make sure that they are ready for a wider audience.
Huawei’s Mate 60 series is breaking sales records and making a big impact in the smartphone market. However, the company is also facing controversy around the world over how it obtained some of the technologies used in these models. For example, the use of memory from South Korean chip maker SK Hynix in the Mate 60 suggests that the US embargo has been somehow bypassed. Now, SK Hynix has finally issued a statement denying the news of supplying memory units to Huawei.
Memory chip maker – SK Hynix denies Huawei supply after Mate 60 Pro teardown turmoil
Last week’s Mate 60 teardown videos clearly show that Huawei used SK Hynix memory chips in the new flagships. As you know, back in 2019, the US government has imposed a number of restrictions on Huawei, including a ban on the export of American technology to the company. This has made it difficult for Huawei to obtain the components it needs to manufacture its smartphones.
The use of SK Hynix memory in the Mate 60 Pro suggests that Huawei may have found a way to bypass the US sanctions. This has raised concerns in Washington, where some lawmakers are calling for further restrictions on Huawei. SK Hynix has denied supplying memory units to Huawei. The company said in a statement that it does not export products to Huawei or any other entities on the US Entity List.
SK Hynix no longer does business with Huawei since the introduction of the U.S. restrictions against the company and with regard to the issue we started an investigation to find out more details.
However, the denial from SK Hynix has done little to quell the controversy. Some experts believe that Huawei may have obtained the memory chips through a third party or by using a front company. The outcome of the SK Hynix memory controversy is still uncertain. However, it is clear that Huawei is facing a number of challenges as it tries to navigate the US sanctions.
The company’s future in the global smartphone market is now more uncertain than ever. However, Huawei seems determined to continue doing whatever it is doing. The Chinese tech giant launched the Mate 60 Pro+ model despite all the controversy, openly challenging the United States.
The Galaxy A25 could be the latest addition to the Samsung A series, but not until next year. The Galaxy A24 was unveiled earlier this year in April, so it wouldn’t make sense for Samsung to launch its successor in the same year. Nonetheless, details about the smartphone have already begun to surface, with a recent Geekbench listing confirming some important specifications. Let’s look into the details.
The Geekbench listing has revealed some key specifications for the Samsung Galaxy A25 5G having model number SM-A256B. It will be powered by an octa-core Exynos 1280 SoC and sport a generous 8GB of RAM. On the software front, this upcoming addition to the Galaxy A-series will run Android 13 right out of the box, with the One UI skin layered on top. The smartphone managed to score 937 in the single-core test and 2106 in the multi-core test during benchmarking.
A previous report shared the CAD renders of the smartphone, revealing it will have a 6.44-inch display with a waterdrop notch. The back of the phone is shown to feature a triple-lens camera system with an LED flash. For security, the device has a side-facing fingerprint sensor on the right side with a volume rocker.
The Galaxy A25 has a single speaker and a 3.5mm headphone jack. According to the report, the device measures 162 x 77.5 x 8.3mm. Another report revealed the Galaxy A25 will sport a 50MP main camera on the back. On the front, it will be equipped with a 13MP shooter. This suggests the handset will have the same primary and selfie cameras as the Galaxy A24.

Huawei recently released the Mate 60 series of smartphones in China. The Mate 60 Pro has been a huge success, with over 1 million units sold through pre-orders in just 5 days. Along with the phone, Huawei also released official cases for the Mate 60 series.
The cases are made of silicone or plain leather and cost 99 yuan. They will go on sale on September 10 via Huawei Mall. The cases have a simple design with just the Huawei logo at the bottom.
Apart from the two cases mentioned, there’s likely a “Smart Window” protective case available for the Huawei Mate 60 series. This type of case has been available for the Mate 50 series as well, so it should work in the same way for the newer smartphones.
Basically, the smart window case is a flip-top case that covers a part of the screen but leaves a transparent window on top so you can see the time, date, weather, and notifications without opening the case. It will also automatically wake up the phone when opened and put it to sleep when closed, making it more convenient to use.
This type of flip-top case can also better protect the screen and reduce scratches. It’s not yet available on the Huawei Mall but is expected to be priced at 199 yuan, making it the most expensive case of the three.
The other two phone cases have built-in strong magnets that can firmly attach to other magnetic surfaces. This means that you can use them with magnetic car mounts, magnetic charging stands, and other accessories.
