Sony India has launched the ILCE-7V, the fifth generation of its Alpha 7 full-frame mirrorless camera series. It features a newly developed partially stacked Exmor RS CMOS sensor with about 33 megapixels and the updated BIONZ XR2 image processor. The ILCE-7V offers up to 16 stops of dynamic range to preserve detail across bright and dark areas. The new AI based Auto White Balance system identifies light sources through scene analysis and deep learning to provide more stable and natural colors.
For video creators, the camera offers 7K oversampled 4K 60p recording in full-frame mode and 4K 120p recording in APS-C or Super 35mm mode. There is full pixel readout without pixel binning for better detail. Dynamic Active Mode provides smoother handheld footage. Auto Framing uses AI to keep subjects properly framed. New noise reduction and an improved internal microphone help reduce background noise.

The ILCE-7V body will go on sale from 10 December 2025 at a price of Rs 2,55,990. The ILCE-7V M-Kit, which includes the 28–70mm OSS II lens, will arrive in February 2026 for Rs 2,70,490.

Motorola Edge 70 Ultra leaked renders
The images shared by AndroidHeadlines show the Motorola Edge 70 Ultra in two colors with a textured finish on the back panel, giving it a distinct appearance compared to the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra from 2024.
The materials appear different from the eco leather used on the earlier model, and the new pattern resembles finishes seen on other recently released performance-focused phones. The camera island is positioned in the upper-left corner with three lenses, and the layout suggests main, ultrawide, and periscope telephoto roles.
The frame is expected to be metal, and the right side houses the volume and power buttons, while the left side contains a dedicated key that may serve AI-related functions.

The front of the device has not been revealed, but the expectation is a centred camera hole with slim bezels and possibly a flat OLED display. A large screen measuring roughly 6.7 to 6.8 inches is expected, accompanied by a high refresh rate.
Early information points to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 powering the phone, a step below the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 that will appear in higher-tier flagships. Geekbench results show single-core and multi-core scores of 2,636 and 7,475, paired with a 16GB RAM configuration. It will come preloaded with Hello UX-based Android 16.
Camera details remain limited, although a periscope telephoto unit is likely, along with improved primary and ultrawide sensors. Battery and charging information have yet to surface, but the Edge 70 Ultra is positioned as a capable premium option with performance tuned slightly below the company’s future Elite-level devices.
Likely, the device will be rebranded as the Moto X70 Ultra in China. At present, there’s no word on the launch timeframe of both phones, but they may go official in the first quarter of 2026.

Xiaomi’s Mijia lineup is no stranger to sleek, affordable home tech, and its latest release continues that tradition. The company has launched the new Mijia Lightweight Vacuum Cleaner, priced at just 359 yuan (~$50). The product will go on sale starting December 8 on JD.com.

The upright vacuum uses a 110,000rpm high-speed motor that produces up to 22,000Pa and 50AW of suction power, strong enough to lift dust, crumbs, and hair from hard floors and narrow corners.
Xiaomi has focused on everyday practicality here. The main unit weighs only 860 grams, which is lighter than two 550ml water bottles, so it feels easy to push, pull, or lift during routine cleaning.
Xiaomi has equipped the vacuum with two cleaning heads. One is a slim floor brush that can glide under furniture while maintaining stable suction and preventing hair tangling.
The other is a 2-in-1 crevice tool designed for cleaning gaps, upholstery seams, keyboards, and car interiors. The cleaning wand detaches quickly for easy switching between modes and compact storage.
The vacuum runs for up to 40 minutes on its standard mode, powered by four 2000mAh lithium-ion cells. It also supports a high-power mode for deeper cleaning, which provides up to 10 minutes of runtime.
The device uses a Type-C charging port, allowing it to charge with common USB-C adapters. Xiaomi recommends placing the main unit flat during charging for safety.
The filtration system uses a five-layer setup that includes a high-speed cyclone chamber, micro-mesh steel filter, front sponge filter, HEPA element, and motor protection pad.
Xiaomi claims the system can trap 99.9% of fine particles as small as 0.3 microns, helping to reduce secondary pollution. The 200ml transparent dust bin and filter components are washable and should be air-dried for 24 hours before reuse.
The vacuum includes a simple control layout with one-touch buttons to power the device and switch modes. Xiaomi uses an ergonomic oval handle to improve grip and reduce hand fatigue during long cleaning sessions.
OnePlus has begun rolling out OxygenOS 16.0.1.305 for the OnePlus 15, marking the second update since its global launch a couple of weeks back. The new update focuses on improving feature activation, camera performance, system behavior, and network tools. The activation of Circle to Search has been improved. Users who rely on gesture navigation can now trigger the feature even when the gesture guide bar is hidden by pressing and holding the area where the bar normally appears. The camera app now launches faster, improving overall smoothness and responsiveness. The update also fixes issues that caused inaccurate colors in certain photo scenarios and incorrect color output in videos recorded on cloudy days.
System-level improvements target reliability and user experience. The success rate of face unlock has been increased. OnePlus has also improved how the device handles overheating in specific conditions. General system stability has been enhanced as well.
Network functions receive a major set of additions. A new interface for the AI LinkBoost Network Engine allows users to view the number of network optimizations performed and how much lag time has been reduced. The device can now send real-time notifications when network acceleration activates under poor network conditions. The update also includes the November 2025 Android security patch to improve system security.

However, the 8MP ultra wide angle lens struggles significantly in low light conditions.

OnePlus 15R Teased with Flagship Level Display
The Chinese brand shared a new teaser for the OnePlus Ace 6T in its home market, which confirmed its display specifications. To recall, the OnePlus 15R is basically a rebranded version of the Ace 6T for the global market. In other words, the features of these displays are basically identical. Looking at the image poster, the OnePlus 15R will sport a tall 5.83-inch OLED display.

This panel will have a 1.5K resolution, a 165Hz refresh rate, a max brightness of 1800 nits, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision. You also get a 3,840Hz PWM dimming and hardware level blue light reduction that promises a more comfortable viewing experience. So these specs are even on par with the brand’s flagship OnePlus 15.

In a development that could reshape the global semiconductor race, Huawei filed a patent outlining a path to 2 nm-class chip production using only deep-ultraviolet (DUV) lithography tools – the very equipment it still has access to despite sweeping Western export controls that block extreme-ultraviolet (EUV) machines from ASML.
The patent, originally submitted in 2022 but only recently made public and spotted by veteran semiconductor researcher Dr. Frederick Chen, describes a sophisticated multi-patterning technique that could allow Huawei and its manufacturing partner SMIC to reach an ultra-tight 21 nm metal pitch – a critical dimension that puts the resulting nodes on par with the “2 nm-class” processes being readied by TSMC and Samsung, both of which rely heavily on EUV lithography.
At the heart of Huawei’s approach is an optimized Self-Aligned Quadruple Patterning (SAQP) flow that reportedly reduces the number of required DUV exposures to just four, a significant improvement over conventional multi-patterning schemes that often demand far more passes and drive complexity through the roof.
By pushing existing DUV infrastructure to its absolute limit, the company aims to leapfrog straight from its freshly demonstrated Kirin 9030 (fabricated on SMIC’s N+3 node) to a future 2 nm-generation offering without ever touching restricted EUV tools.
Commercial viability is still a question
Industry observers, however, remain cautious. Even if the technical feasibility is proven in the lab, the commercial viability of such an aggressively patterned DUV process is widely questioned. Quadruple patterning at these dimensions could be notoriously yield-killing, defect-prone, and astronomically expensive compared to single-exposure EUV, which is why the rest of the leading-edge industry has already migrated to the newer technology for 3 nm and below.
If Huawei’s SAQP-based 2 nm recipe ever reaches high-volume manufacturing, it would mark a remarkable act of technological defiance against the sanctions regime. For now, the patent stands as both a statement of intent and a reminder of how far China is willing to push decades-old lithography in pursuit of self-sufficiency.

The Chinese tech giant has just released the official stable build of the HyperOS 3 update for the Redmi Note 14 4G model. This update carries the OS3.0.4.0.WOGMIXM firmware version that carries a hefty download size of 5.3GB. The major software upgrade brings the latest Android 16 OS experience, along with visible upgrades like smoother animations, refined touch response, and under the hood performance optimizations.
As part of the update, Redmi Note 14 also gets new UI elements, including the “Hyper Island,” which is a dynamic live activity panel that showcases ongoing tasks like music, reminders, timers, and much more. It functions and appears similar to the Apple’s Dynamic Island function. A new Vivo device carrying the model number V2527A has surfaced on Geekbench, offering an early look at what appears to be the upcoming Vivo S50 Pro Mini. The phone is expected to debut in China this month, with rumors suggesting that it may arrive in global markets as the Vivo X300 FE. The benchmark entry outlines several key details, giving an early indication of what to expect from the device ahead of its official introduction.

An interesting detail appears in the metadata, which shows the GPU identifier as Adreno 829. Qualcomm advertises the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 with the Adreno 840 GPU, a label also used on the more powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
The appearance of Adreno 829 suggests that the standard 8 Gen 5 model uses a slightly modified graphics configuration that may not reach the same performance levels as the Elite version’s full Adreno 840 implementation.

OnePlus has confirmed a small but fun upgrade for accessory lovers: the quirky Hole-Pattern Magnetic Case — first introduced with the OnePlus 13s — is coming to the OnePlus Ace 6T.
If you missed the hype the first time, this case became surprisingly popular thanks to its playful design. The back has a grid of small circular cutouts where users can snap in little cube-style decorative plugs, letting you create your own patterns, shapes, or even small pixel art. It’s part protection, part fidget toy — and apparently a hit.
It’s not just for looks either. The built-in magnets let the phone attach to a growing set of magnetic accessories. OnePlus says the Ace 6T case will support its own Mag accessories and Oppo Mag products. It should also work with third-party magnetic gear commonly used with iPhones, including popular car mounts.
Based on the teaser OnePlus shared on Weibo, the case for the Ace 6T comes in the same light gray finish as the earlier versions. Hopefully, more colors are planned, since part of the appeal is expressing your style.
There is one caveat: the Ace 6T doesn’t have wireless charging. So magnetic battery packs and chargers won’t charge the phone even though they will attach.
Since the Ace 6T and OnePlus 15R are essentially the same phone with regional branding differences, it’s very likely this case will show up for 15R buyers too.
Pricing hasn’t been announced, but the version for the OnePlus 15 currently sells for around $25 (currently Rs. 699 in India) — so expect something in that ballpark.
It’s a small addition, sure — but for users who enjoy customizing their phones beyond just a wallpaper change, this case gives the Ace 6T a bit more personality.
OnePlus released its Android 16-based OxygenOS 16 operating system last month, and has been rapidly rolling it out for its devices. The nearly three year old OnePlus 11 is the latest smartphone to receive this major update. At launch, the brand promised 4 major update for the device, which means it is also eligible for the OxygenOS 17 update next year. The update is available as version CPH2447_16.0.1.300(EX01), and the company says more regions will receive it in batches.
OxygenOS 16 introduces major changes to animations, performance, AI features, visuals, and system controls. The new Parallel Processing upgrade brings smoother transitions across system apps. Icons, widgets, folders, and the Smart Sidebar now react with cleaner drag and drop behavior. The text selection magnifier fades in and out more naturally. The status bar shifts smoothly when pulling down the notification shade or Quick Settings, and the gesture can be stopped midway. Audio controls in Quick Settings have new animations, and app opening and closing in button navigation feels more consistent. Charging and fingerprint effects now use light wave patterns, and scrolling has been tuned for better precision.
Performance gets a boost with the updated Trinity Engine, which adjusts workloads in real time. Games should hold steadier frame output through smarter task prioritization. Pop up windows and video calls run more smoothly, while overall power use drops. Photo albums load faster with lower thumbnail power usage, and cached videos in supported apps preview more quickly. Power saving mode now changes performance based on battery percentage.
AI features expand across Photos, Notes, Recorder, Writer, and VoiceScribe. Photos offers clearer categories, easier album navigation, a swipe up info panel, stronger video editing tools, auto straightening, improved collages, and refined filters. Notes adds block editing, side by side image viewing, link sharing for full notes, new highlights, and more formatting. Recorder gets AI noise reduction, automatic meeting or lecture detection, a new layout, and link sharing for audio, transcripts, and summaries. Writer generates more content types and can create mind maps and tables. VoiceScribe improves call summaries with better context handling.
The interface gains new light field visuals, Aurora effects, live weather animations, redesigned Clock, Calculator, and Compass apps, and a new fingerprint animation. Flux Home brings updated icon styles, more folder layouts, text free icons, reorganized settings, category based Drawer mode, a new search bar position, improved suggestions, customizable widget names, adjustable clocks, Lock screen text options, and wallpaper-matched icon styles including Dark mode sets.
Connectivity upgrades include Touch to Share, improved OnePlus Connect with PC multi window support, cross device clipboard, grouped Device Connect settings, better car Bluetooth pairing, a new My Devices center with matching widgets, and enhanced AI LinkBoost. Users can also share phone Wi Fi with a tablet.
Other additions include an AI Doc Scanner, more Quick Settings customization with 2×1 tiles, cleaner notifications, earbuds only ringtone playback, an AI settings page, Bosnian language support, a refreshed Smart Sidebar, redesigned battery stats, faster iOS migration, improved virus scanning, better data transfer speed, and the November 2025 security patch. Apps can also be locked or hidden by holding their Home screen icons.

This is basically the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5’s direct successor in the premium Android smartphone segment.
The Red Magic 11 Pro+ got a score of 4,104,121 points on AnTuTu, while the Oppo Find X9 Pro and Vivo X300 Pro achieve a score of 4,006,704 and 4,004,589 points, respectively. So, both chips are neck-in-neck and it’s hard to tell which processor is objectively better. Rounding off the top 5 on this list, we have the iQOO 15 and Honor Magic 8 Pro that also feature Qualcomm’s flagship chipset.
