[Update: A2023H isn’t the Axon 40, it’s a ZTE phone for government and enterprises, as per BaldPanda.]
ZTE took wraps off its Blade V40 series at the MWC this year, and it’s time for the Axon 40 series. Past certifications have revealed the possible specs of the upcoming ZTE Axon 40 series and confirmed its China presence. Now, the series has appeared on China’s 3C certification revealing the charge capacities.
As per the certification, the vanilla ZTE Axon 40 carries the model number A2023H, while the more powerful variant of the Axon 40 has the A2023BH model number(via WHYLAB). The vanilla handset has a 55W fast charging support and the more powerful variant has a 66W fast charging support.

These charging speeds are similar to the predecessor, where the Axon 30 and Axon 30 Pro has 55W and 65W charging speeds, respectively.
Other than this, the Axon 40 with model number A2023BH was previously seen on TENAA. The smartphone has a 6.67-inch OLED display with Full-HD+ resolution. It has an under-display fingerprint scanner and an aspect ratio of 20:9. The phone has the following measurements – 163.37 x 75.88 x 8.56mm. It weighs 199 grams.
The Axon 40 was spotted with a triple camera system at the rear with a 64MP main lens, an 8MP secondary sensor, and a 5MP tertiary lens. Upfront, it has a 44MP selfie snapper. As per the listing, the smartphone will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC clocked at 3.2GHz.
It will pack a 5,000mAh battery with a 65W fast charging support. It is expected to come in multiple RAM and storage options. It could arrive with 6GB, 8GB, 12GB, 16GB of RAM and 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and even 1TB of storage.
In February 2022, the prices of 43-inch, 50-inch, 55-inch, and 65-inch LCD TV panels decreased by 1.4%, 2.3%, 2.7%, and 2.7%, respectively, to $38, $68, $85, $109, and $179 per piece, according to data from Omdia. Among these, 32-inch panel prices have dropped 64% compared to prices from January last year.
Statistics from Sigmaintell (via My Drivers) show that the price of LCD TV panels in the first quarter of 2022 will maintain a downward trend. A cumulative decrease of 5% to 8% in Q1 2022 for small-size panels is expected, while medium and large panels could see price falls cross 12%.
LCD panel prices actually skyrocketed starting in 2020 and continued to do so until 2021. From the second half of last year, LCD TV prices fell more than 25%.
Seeing high price volatility, Korean display manufacturers LG and Samsung had earlier decided to withdraw from the LCD market due to associated risks. Samsung had actually announced the halt of LCD panel production back in early 2020, but the subsequent hike had caused it to decide otherwise.
Similarly, Zheng Haorong, president of LG Display, revealed in an interview that the company’s LCD TV panel factory in South Korea will be closed by the end of 2020.
During this time, Chinese display manufacturers such as TCL and BOE cut down LCD TV production and started favoring the more profitable OLED space. At present, large-size LCD panels are in a situation of oversupply. Their pricing will only stabilize after supply and demand will achieve balance.
Although now, it appears too soon to say that Samsung and LG will indeed be withdrawing from the market completely.

The Oppo K10 was previously spotted on China’s 3C certification. The smartphone carries the model number PGIM10 and has 80W fast charging support. The charger model number is VCB8JACH. As per a tipster, the Chinese variant of the Oppo K10 will come with Dimensity 8000 series processor. However, it is unclear whether the chipset will also power the Indian model.

Apple is expected to start the production of the iPhone 13 at the Foxconn plant in Sriperumbudur near Chennai, India from April, according to sources that spoke to Business Standard. Manufactured units will be for both domestic as well as export.
Production of the device was actually started in January but was postponed due to Apple suspending production following protests in December 2021 about stale food, which even caused a bad case of food poisoning, and unhygienic toilets.
After the protests, Apple had put the Foxconn production plant on probation, demanding rapid action. The US-based tech giant said it would continue monitoring conditions at workers’ dormitories and dining halls, along with independent auditors.
The Sriperumbudur plant employs about 17,000 people and operates three shifts.
The Apple iPhone 13 was launched on September 24, 2021. One of four models, it is the second most affordable from the lineup after the iPhone 13 mini. iQOO Z6 5G is tipped to launch this week in the Indian market with budget specs sheet. The smartphone will take on the likes of Redmi Note 11 Pro+, Realme 9 Pro, and Vivo T1 5G. Now, PassionateGeekz has shared official renders of the smartphone giving us a closer look at the device.
The renders show that the device looks identical to the recently launched Vivo T1 5G. The smartphone has the exact same display and dual cameras at the back. In fact, the dark color is also the same as the T1 5G’s Black shade. There’s also the gradient color of the device, which is way similar to the Rainbow fantasy color of the T1 5G. It appears that the iQOO Z6 5G will be a rebranded version of the Vivo T1 5G.
The publication reveals that the smartphone will go official on March 16, as tipped earlier. It will be sold via the Amazon India website thereafter.
The key specs of the iQOO Z6 5G were teased by the company. The smartphone will come with a 120Hz FHD+ display and will be powered by the Snapdragon 695 SoC. Rumors suggest that it will be a 6.58-inch panel with a 240Hz touch sampling rate. The device is expected to come with features like 4GB of virtual RAM and a 5-layer liquid-cooling system. It is likely to arrive in two variants – 6GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 128GB storage.
Apple is expected to launch a new Mac Mini model sometime next year. We had reported on a number of rumors regarding its possible design and specifications. But a new report has suggested that it might not feature the anticipated redesign after all.
I think the new Mac mini in 2023 will likely remain the same form factor design.
According to known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the Cupertino based giant will likely retain the same design as the current gen model. In other words, the 2021 Mac Mini will also feature the typical aluminum unibody design that the brand has used for every Mac Mini since 2010. Just earlier this week, we had covered another report from Kuo where he stated that the company will not be launching its new high end Mac Mini till next year.
However, recent reports had hinted at the upcoming Mac Mini model arriving with a refreshed design. Known tipsters like Jon Prosser claimed that the iPhone maker will be launching the small PC with a smaller chasis and a new “plexiglass like” top. Apple has been rumored to be working on this Mac Mini model for a while now. So, it won’t be a surprise if it finally planned on offering it with a redesign. This refresh would be in line with its hardware refresh that came in November 2020, when the Mac Mini received the M1 chipset.
Previously, we had also reported on a rumor that hinted at the company launching the next gen Mac Mini with a M1 Pro and M1 Max chipset. But it seems like these plans fell through to make way for the newly unveiled, Mac Studio. At the moment, Apple is believed to be working on two Mac Mini models. One may offer M2 chipset, while the other is a higher end variant with possibly a M2 Pro chipset.
Carrying a physical key could be bothersome for some people. You have to pay attention not to lose it. And if it gets lost, you wouldn’t be able to get into the house. Even if you are careful enough to keep it safe, your children may not think so. After all, one more key is one more hidden danger. To eliminate keys, you need a Lock that has a superfast fingerprint unlock, or that can unlock from the most personal device, your smartphone. It would be even better if it has a surveillance camera, preferably with 2k resolution. Then it should also act as a smart doorbell and allow you to check the situation anywhere and anytime. Finally, the most important thing is that all this service shouldn’t charge you anything for local storage used. Fortunately, we have found a Smart Lock that meets all the criteria, Video Smart Lock, from Eufy.
This is the box of the Video Smart Lock, a square box. The back of the package contains various details about the Smart Lock’s features, which we’ll talk about later. Let’s open the box.
What you see is the Smart Lock body, one is the Smart Lock Interior Assembly installed inside the door. The other part installed outside your door is the Smart Lock Exterior Assembly. We’ll put them aside for now, and the layer below is a variety of accessories. It’s a plug that, when combined with the white device, makes up a chime that can act as a smart hub for your all eufy devices.
In addition, it is also a speaker. You are allowed to switch Alarm Tones with pretty loud volume. If someone uses Video Smart Lock’s doorbell, it will make a sound to alert you that you have a visitor.
The smart lock has a Type-C charging port on it, so you don’t need a special charger to charge it. There are also some screws and even a pair of keys. You know, even the most advanced Smart Lock must have a key, in case the digital unlock fails to work, and you cannot get out of the house.
Well, we received the version that is not officially released, so there is no manual. So, the question is, how do we install the Smart Lock without relying on the manual. After all, we have never installed a smart lock like this!
I first powered up the Smart Lock Exterior Assembly, and it will tell you that you need to activate the device with an APP. I then installed the APP called eufySecurity on my phone, you can find it on Google Play or the APP Store. Register your account after installation. Then add the device and select Video Smart Lock. It told me to activate the Chime first, so I had to follow the instructions to activate the Chime. And once that was done, you could add the Video Smart Lock to your phone. The process of activation is very simple, basically, it’s just to get the Smart Lock connected to a Wi-Fi network. And thanks to the added camera, you can quickly pair it by scanning the QR code. It doesn’t let you set a password that is too simple. There will be a pairing video that will teach you how to install the Smart Lock.
There are only two things that are more difficult in the installation process. One is to make sure there’s enough space for leaving a hole in the door. Another is to plug the two wires into the Smart Lock interior because you need to put a lot of effort to plug in. Finally, plug the fully charged battery in and unplug the power supply cable. Then the installation is complete. Even though there’s no manual for guidance right now, I was still able to install it smoothly, which means that eufy’s installation guidelines do a good job. Of course, if you buy it commercially, there will be paper instructions in the box, so don’t worry.
Now we can take a closer look at the details of Smart Lock. Let’s start by looking at the Exterior Assembly. At the top is fingerprint recognition, which can recognize your fingerprint in as fast as 0.3 seconds. Compared to the optical fingerprint recognition used on some phones, the capacitive fingerprint recognition sensor of this Video Smart Lock is definitely a more secure option. Underneath it is the main selling point of the eufy Video Smart Lock: the 2K camera. Not only does it have a high resolution of 2560*1920, but it also turns on the IR LED below the camera when the environment is dark, making the picture look even clearer. For saving power, there’s a special mode of object detection that only allows the camera to work while detecting any moving object.
You will be able to see who is visiting your door whenever and wherever you are. If you have too much footage of people passing by your house, eufy offers you a cheap solution.
Do you see the Micro SD Card slot next to the Chime? You can use as much space as you want, and no need to pay any monthly fee for the footage. In that case, you will be a nightmare for those couriers who throw your deliveries around. This doorbell is linked to the camera. When an object’s motion is detected by the camera, the doorbell will only light up and prompt the person to press it. Of course, this Video Smart Lock could also be unlocked with a password. On the bottom is the power port, speaker, and reset button, which is similar to most Smart Lock.
Smart Lock Interior Assembly is very simple in appearance, with only a lock knob. Remove the top panel, inside is the battery and a pairing button. That’s all there is to the Smart Lock Assembly. You will notice that it does not have a handle. Yes, it is positioned to be used with the original door lock in your house. The lack of a handle and the no arc lock cylinder means that it can hardly be the only lock on your door because it is not convenient enough to use. Of course, if you don’t think it would be a hassle to be the only lock on your door, there’s no problem at all.
Smart Lock must have a variety of functions to be called “Smart”. In addition to the above-mentioned fingerprint, password unlocking method, you can even unlock the door remotely through the phone. Maybe your friends or parents like to visit your home often without notifying you. When you are not at home, you can find out who is standing in front of the door through the camera, and then open the door for them. Entrance and Exit Notification would alert you when a door had been opened or closed. This feature is very friendly for users with children. Scramble Passcode is also a standard feature of Smart Lock to prevent others from remembering your unlock code, and Activity Zone allows you to reduce the probability of recognizing ordinary passersby. This feature is especially useful if you don’t want to buy a large-capacity SD card. It is also able to link with Google Assistant, Alexa, and other eufy devices, but we don’t have the relevant devices, so we won’t show you here. The rest are some common features shared with other Smart Lock.
For you who want to say goodbye to keys, eufy Video Smart Lock is an excellent product. Simply speaking, it is a product that combines Smart Doorbell and Smart Lock. It has almost all the important features and works as advertised. So, users who like multifunctional products should not miss this product.

Motorola had only a few days back confirmed a March 17th launch event. Now, the company with a Weibo post revealed that the launch event will lift the curtains on two devices, one of which will be the Motorola Edge X30 Under Screen Edition.
The other device is expected to be a special edition of the Edge X30 series and is expected to be very similar in terms of specifications to the Edge X30 Under Screen Edition. IT Home speculates that this second offering will be a “Champion Edition” that will sponsor some F1 team.
The under-screen version of the Motorola Edge X30 will be a flagship device and is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, supported by up to 12GB of RAM. Also, just like its name implies, it will come with an under-screen front camera.
A new teaser from earlier today had revealed that the Motorola Edge X30 Under Screen Edition will feature up to 512GB of internal storage, which is much double the 256GB maximum on the standard Edge X30.
The Under Screen Edition also comes with a 6.7-inch OLED Full-HD+ display with a 144Hz refresh rate and a 576Hz touch sampling rate. It will offer a 100 percent DCI P3 color gamut, HDR10+, and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
The device’s front camera is quite impressive too and comes with a super dense 60MP sensor, which might as well be leading among the most recent flagship phone launches.
The Tronsmart Bang has just been launched. It is a new portable speaker from the company that features Bluetooth connectivity, and offers RGB lighting as well as a top mounted handle.

The Realme Pad Mini has been making rounds on the Internet lately. The tablet was last spotted on the FCC database revealing its key details. Now, the tipster Mukul Sharma has shed some on its global release.
According to the tipster, the Realme Pad Mini will launch in the European markets soon. He further reveals that the tablet has just entered mass production. To recall, the tablet was earlier tipped to debut in India. Now that it is said to debut in the European markets, we are expected to get launch details in the coming days. As far as India is concerned, the tablet will debut in the region this month itself.
[Exclusive] Realme Pad Mini will launch in the European markets as well, has entered mass production.#Realme#RealmePadMini
Coming to the specs, The Realme Pad mini was spotted on a few certification sites with the model number RMP2105. It packs a big 6,400mAh battery and has an 18W fast charging support. If we compare it with the Realme Pad’s 7,100mAh cell, then this battery capacity is slightly lower. However, it is worth noting that it also has the same 18W fast charging support.
Realme Pad Mini leaked render by Steve Hemmerstoffer / SmartPrix
Apart from the battery, the Realme Pad Mini is rumored to come with an 8.7-inch TFT or LCD panel. It is said to have an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP selfie camera. It is expected to be powered by the UNISOC T616 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The smartphone is expected to run on Android 11 OS out of the box with Realme UI on top of it.
Following months of beta testing, Android 12L is finally here with numerous features and optimizations designed to make tablet usage better than before. But among these additions, there’s also seems to be a fix for a long-standing Widevine certification bug troubling Pixel owners for a while.
Multiple Redditors on the Google Pixel subreddit acknowledged that the March update fixed the Widevine issues that prevented HD streaming on OTT platforms like Netflix, Disney+, and Amazon Prime for them (via Android Police).
For those unaware, users have been complaining about the Widevine on their Pixel devices downgrading from L1 to L3 for over a year now. When L1, streaming services are allowed to play content on 1080p, but when downgraded to L3, the max you get is 480p. Therefore, in order for a device to stream at 1080p, L1 certification is a necessity. The whole system has been put in place to prevent piracy.
When the Widevine issue first hit, Google acknowledged it saying they were working on a fix. But the fix never really rolled out, leaving Pixel owners stuck with an ugly 480p streaming resolution — something that now appears to be changing with the Android 12L update.
Still, there are some who continue to see Widevine L3 even after updating Android 12L. For such users, it is recommended to factory reset the device once. While this isn’t a guaranteed fix, a few users have reported that doing so did the trick for them.
Yamaha has recently registered the name E01 and the EC-05. The latter is an electric scooter that was already on sale in Taiwan. Now, it seems that the company is gearing up to launch a new electric scooter in India soon.
According to a Rushlanereport, the Japanese automobile maker’s first Indian market could be a max styled scooter. This will be a premium product and will probably rival the likes of the Ather 450X and Bajaj Chetak. The report adds that the scooter will be equipped with a full digital LCD panel console. It will also feature Bluetooth connectivity and users will even be able to access a range of features and functions via Yamaha’s smartphone application.
As of right now, information regarding this upcoming electric scooter is still at large. Although, it is expected to offer performance that matches a 110cc petrol scooter like the Honda Activa and TVS Jupiter. Furthermore, its range may be around 70 to 80 kilometers, with a top speed of 80 and 100 kmph. It is also expected to offer multiple ride modes, which determines speed and range. Other rumored features include, LED headlight, alloys at front and rear, trendy rear view mirrors and comfy single piece seat.
With electric vehicles becoming more popular in the automobile industry, it arrives as no surprise that Yamaha also plans on launching a new electric scooter. The scooter segment is popular in India, so the company might also offer multiple ownership options. One of these options will include a subscription based plan that will be backed by battery swapping infrastructure. So stay tuned as we will be providing more updates.
Recently, realme confirmed to debut the realme GT NEO3 this month (March). The brand is yet to officially disclose the exact launch yet. Ahead of that, it has started promoting the device on Weibo. One of the company executives today issued a letter containing some interesting data.
realme GT NEO3
According to a letter by Xu Qi, the number of users of the realme GT NEO series smartphones crossed 2 million within a year from the release of the first phone in the lineup. For the unaware, the original realme GT NEO was unveiled on March 31, 20201, and went on sale on April 8 for the first time.
Further, the executive reveals that more than half of realme users are gaming enthusiasts. Therefore, the realme GT NEO series will now be marketed as ‘fashionable gaming smartphones’. The company has even announced a partnership with the Honor of Kings National Competition.
The last-gen realme GT NEO2 not only offers great performance but also a striking design. This formula seems to be popular among consumers, and therefore, the brand may have decided to stick with this approach.

Earlier today (14th March 2022), a mysterious foldable smartphone was spotted in China. This device could be the Vivo X Fold, which is the company’s first foldable smartphone that is highly anticipated in the market.
The image was shared on Weibo (Via ITHome) and showcased the smartphone from the front. While it is still unclear which model this foldable phone actually is, it is believe to be the Vivo X Fold. Looking at the image, we can see that it has a thick case, which is likely to prevent anyone from spotting its actual design. Although, the display is in full view and does not appear to have any form of crease on the front.
In a previous report, we had covered the schematics that were revealed of the Chinese brand’s foldable handset. It showed that its cover display will have a curved edge and a center aligned punch hole. The rear side of the device has a circular module placed inside a rectangle block. This module houses the LED flash and a quad camera setup. An unknown key, a volume rocker, and a power button are available around the sides of the X Fold.

As per recent rumors, the Vivo X Fold will sport a 6.5 inch FHD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate on the front. Furthermore, the internal display will be an 8 inch panel with QHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The device will reportedly be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. It is also expected to be powered by a 4,600mAh battery pack that supports 80W fast charging. Keep in mind that these are still speculations, so take it with a pinch of salt and stick around for more updates.
Chinese AMOLED display-producing factories had an annual average utilization rate of 53.7% in 2021, which is a 10% increase compared to 2020.
Among them, the utilization rate improved the most for TCL CSOT, from 32.7% annual utilization in 2020 to an impressive 74% in 2021, the latest report from CINNO Research shows (via IT Home).
However, it is BOE that continues to be the manufacturer with the largest production area among AMOLED panel factories in China, with a market share of 37.4% in 2021. This share is down 7.6% compared to 2020, though.
Via CINNO Research
BOE is followed by Visionox, with an 18.3% share in 2021, which is an increase of 1% when compared to 2020. Standing third is Hehui Optoelectronics EDO whose share in 2021 stood 15.6% — a decrease of 1.8% from 2020.
The data also shows that the overall installed capacity area of domestic AMOLED panel factories rose by 26.9% in 2021, while the production area increased significantly by 57.0%.
BOE has currently locked horns with Samsung, with the former trying to secure more orders for the latest iPhones. A new report suggests that BOE will supply Apple with OLED LTPO displays for its higher-end iPhones in 2023. But presently, the company is having to put up with the global chip shortage resulting in significant production cuts.
Foxconn, one of the primary Apple suppliers, has apparently paused its operations in China. The company has halted iPhone production due to the ongoing lockdown caused by a new wave of Coronavirus outbreak.
According to a Bloombergreport, Foxconn had to halt its operations in the region because of the recent lockdowns. Although, the company has managed to relocate production to other sites that are still operating at the moment, to offset the impact of the lockdown on its production. The lockdown is expected to be in effect till March 20 and was initially started by the Chinese government after more than 3,000 cases of COVID-19 were reported on Sunday (13th March 2022).
So now, the local government put the 17.5 million residents of Shenzhen, China into lockdown. Various forms of public transport like buses and subway systems have been closed and business are only allowed to operate for providing essential services. While Foxconn’s production takes a hit, Apple would also face the impact of the lockdown, alongside other tech firms that rely on its facilities to manufacture their products.
Although the report also points at the demand for products being low since the season follows right after the peak holiday season, Apple had just launched a number of new products recently. This includes the iPhone SE (2022), fifth gen iPad Air, and Mac Studio. So, early buyers might face delays in shipments over the ongoing lockdown in China.
