Samsung lets users control slideshows from their Galaxy Watch 4 by adding PPT Controller support

Earlier this month, Samsung had launched the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. Recently, the company has rolled out a couple of new software updates that adds new features while also adding support for certain older features as well, which were available on previous Tizen models.

One of the these older features include an updated version of the PPT Controller app on the Play Store, which is now available on the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. This was initially available in older Tizen models back in 2017 and allowed users to basically control a PowerPoint presentation from their smartwatch. This included functions like controlling slideshows and more, which added a layer of functionality that appealed to students and professionals alike.

For those interested, you can check out the newer version of the feature on the Google Play Store (Via XDADevelopers). The listing on the app store also highlights the various functions of the feature, like letting users switch to the next or previous slide with your smartwatch and stop the presentation. Furthermore, it even allows users to use the physical bezel on the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic or the digital one on the base Galaxy Watch 4 to control the slides.

The feature also showcases key information like the remaining time on your wrist and lets users add a vibration alert to notify them when the presentation has ended. Keep in mind, that one has to connect their smartwatch with a computer to use the PPT controller app.You can do this by connecting the Galaxy Watch 4 series wearable to your Windows PC via Bluetooth.

Samsung is mostly known for its smartphones but the South Korean giant has a decent presence in the laptops market as well. Its latest laptops in the market are under the Galaxy Book and Galaxy Book Pro.

Now, the company has announced the Business Edition of both these new laptops. Just like the Microsoft Surface for Business, the Galaxy Book Business Edition and Galaxy Book Pro Business Edition are similar to the original models but come running the Pro version of the Windows 10 or Windows 11 operating system.

The inclusion of the Windows 10 Pro (or the Windows 11 Pro) means that the devices have better security and more management-related features. The devices come powered by Intel’s 11th-generation processors and are Intel Eco certified.

For those who are unaware, the Galaxy Book and Galaxy Book Pro come in two screen sizes — 13.3-inch and 15-inch. Both of them feature a Full HD screen resolution with a 16:9 aspect ratio. However, the laptops come with a Super AMOLED display, offering bright and vivid colors on the screen.

Coming to the pricing, the Samsung Galaxy Book costs $899 for the 15.6-inch model packing an Intel Core i5 processor and 16GB RAM. On the other hand, the Pro model with a 13.3-inch screen starts at $1,099 while the 15.6-inch model starts at $1,199. It comes in two variants — Core i5 / 8GB / 512GB and Core i7 / 16GB / 256GB. These new Business Edition laptops are now available for purchase.

In related news, after pushing for foldable smartphones, Samsung is now reportedly working on launching a foldable laptop which is likely to be called Samsung Galaxy Book Fold 17. The device was showcased as a concept at SID 2021 and is now said to be under development and should be announced soon.

Microsoft has been proactive with the Windows 11 update and improvements ever since it came into existence. Microsoft is aiming to finalize things and present a seamless experience before it begins rolling out to the general public starting next month. A new Windows 11 build 22454 has been released for the Insiders in the Dev Channel that brings a modern context menu design for the Recycle Bin along with a bucketload of fixes and improvements.

Major changes:

Right-clicking on Recycle Bin on the desktop now uses the new modern context menu.
Added an option when right-clicking a network share in File Explorer to pin it to Quick Access without having to click Show more options.
We have begun releasing an updated version of the Korean IME with adjustments made based on Windows Insider feedback. We believe this will provide a more reliable input experience for Korean on Windows 11. The updated version of the Korean IME follows the new visual design of Windows 11 with acrylic in the candidate window, a new selection visual, and dark mode support. It also improves improved performance and compatibility. The updated Korean IME is rolling out to a subset of Insiders in the Dev Channel first, to help us quickly identify issues that may impact performance and reliability. Over time, it will roll out to everyone in the Dev Channel. Please file feedback via Feedback Hub under Input and Language > Text Input.

Bug fixes and improvements:

We fixed the issue that was causing PCs with Windows Defender Application Guard (WDAG) enabled to bug check continuously. PCs with WDAG enabled should now receive Build 22454.
Windows Terminal is listed again when right-clicking on the Start button (WIN + X).
The narrator should announce the Start launch more reliably now.
The Desktops flyout should now dismiss properly for Narrator users when scanning with item navigation across the Task View button.
Fixed an issue where the preview thumbnails for Desktops were not rendering correctly for certain aspect ratios.
Fixed a rounding issue that was making the volume icon tooltip show the wrong number in some cases.
The input indicator, Quick Settings, and notification center icon tooltips will no longer display behind the flyouts when they’re open.
Addressed an underlying issue that was resulting in the volume icon in the Taskbar displaying sound was muted when that was not the case.
Fixed an issue that could cause the Taskbar to unexpectedly get stuck on top of full-screen applications, such as PowerPoint presentations, after interacting with the Taskbar previews.
Taskbar icons should no longer flicker when you mouse over them while using a contrasting theme.
Fixed an issue where app icons would occasionally unexpectedly animate onto the Taskbar from somewhere other than from below.
Shift + Click on an app icon in the Taskbar to launch a new instance of that app (for apps that support multiple instances) is now working again.
Did some work to address an issue where app icons could get stuck in an alert state in the Taskbar even if the app in question was closed.
Fixed an issue that was causing the text candidates to not appear after the first time the handwriting panel was invoked.
Mitigated a stutter in the animation when tapping a text field to invoke the touch keyboard.
Fixed a bug that was causing clipboard history to not render for some people.
Displaying 3rd party IME icons in the input indicator should be more reliable now.
Addressed an explorer.exe crash that could happen when changing window focus while using the touch keyboard.
Fixed an issue for people who’d opted into the previous version of the Japanese IME that was causing certain games to crash.
Fixed an issue where the tip for voice typing when using the touch keyboard wouldn’t be connected to the microphone button.
Addressed an issue where the touch keyboard could get into a state where the key labels would be invisible due to the wrong background color being used.
Mitigated an issue that was leading to the touch keyboard settings flyout having white on white text sometimes.
Did some work to address an issue where interacting with the expressive input button in the touch keyboard could result in the candidate area having a broken layout.
Improved the reliability of context menu invocation.
Mitigated a couple of issues that were causing leaks when using File Explorer.
The context menu will now not immediately dismiss when the option to open things with a single click is enabled in File Explorer.
If you press F11 to full-screen File Explorer, then use WIN + Shift + Left/Right to change what screen the window is displaying on, pressing F11 again will no longer jump the window back to the original screen.
Mitigated an issue when typing with certain 3rd party IMEs into the search box in Settings that could result in the candidate window being rendered elsewhere on-screen (not attached to the search box) and/or characters inserted into the search box not displaying.
We did some work to help address an issue that was making the Windows Insider Program page in Settings appear blank sometimes.
The mouse pointers under Accessibility > Mouse pointer and touch are no longer invisible for Arabic and Hebrew display languages.
System > Storage > Show more categories > Other should no longer always say it’s managed by group policy even when it isn’t.
Added some links to “Find my device” in Settings to help you learn more about the privacy resources.
Start time and end time pickers under Focus Assist > During these times are now visible when the focus is set while using a contrasting theme.
Addressed a crash that could happen when using Sound Settings.
Fixed an issue with the volume slider in Quick Settings that was causing the volume to sometimes save at a slightly different level than what was actually set.
Fixed a crash that could happen when the network icon updated states on the login screen.
Made a change to address an issue where title bar options including close, minimize, and maximize were not appearing as expected in certain apps when moving the mouse to the top of the screen while the app was maximized.
Improved icon rendering for certain apps in the Search hover flyout.
Addressed an issue that was causing overlapping text in the Share window for certain languages.
Made some performance improvements when switching to the Details tab of Task Manager.
If the Windows Security app is open when switching to dark mode, the UI elements should respond better now and not have unreadable text.
If there are a large number of exclusions listed under Virus and Threat Protection in the Windows Security app, it will now display a progress indicator when loading them.
Fixed some text clipping in the Windows Security app when using the option in Accessibility Settings to increase the text size.
Mitigated an issue that was causing the WM_CTLCOLORSTATIC message used in certain apps to be ignored, so the colors in some places wouldn’t appear correctly.
Fixed a leak when the desktop background was set to a slideshow, impacting performance over time until explorer.exe was restarted.
Mitigated an issue that was causing some PCs to bugcheck while on modern standby.
Fixed an issue that was causing slower Wi-Fi speeds after enabling Hyper-V and creating an External V-Switch.
When animations are disabled in the system, there should no longer be a fade animation in UWP apps like Settings or the Feedback Hub when transitioning from the splash screen to the app content.

FFALCON Thunderbird FF1 with Snapdragon 690 and 120Hz display is on sale via JD.com

FFALCON Thunderbird FF1 smartphone is now on sale in China and is available on JD.com. The device is the first handset from the company and was released through both offline and online channels earlier today (10th September 2021).

The new smartphone from the brand sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 690 processor and 8GB of RAM under the hood, with a 120Hz high refresh rate display on the front. The screen is a 6.67 inch IPS LCD panel that offers a Full HD+ resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, and a pill-shaped selfie camera cutout as well. The device is powered by a large 4,300mAh battery that supports 66W rapid charging.

For photography, the Thunderbird FF1 houses a 64 megapixel primary camera with an f/1.7 aperture, an 8 megapixel ultra wide angle lens, and a 2 megapixel depth sensor, while the front sports a 16 megapixel camera. Other features include, dual SIM support, 5G/4G, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and a USB Type C port, and Android 11 OS out of the box. The device is available in two storage variants namely, 128GB and 256GB. The former is priced at 2,499 Yuan (roughly 386 US Dollars) while the latter costs 2,799 Yuan (roughly 432 US Dollars).

Notably, the new handset is listed on Huawei’s official store on JD.com. Although, FFALCON has clarified that there is no official partnership or collaboration for the release of the Thunderbird FF1. The company said that it will be responsible for any after-sales services and Huawei is just the distribution partner for the new device in the Chinese market.

Samsung delays roll out of the One UI 4.0 Beta

Samsung is gearing up for the launch of the latest version of its Android OS based custom skin, the One UI 4.0. While the new version had an initial launch date of September 9, the company has now delayed the roll out for the beta.

The South Korean tech giant’s Community Manager provided update regarding the One UI 4.0, confirming the delayed roll out for the beta in a forum post. He stated that “We ask for your understanding and we cannot inform you of the schedule until the beta is open.” For those unaware, the One UI 4.0 update is highly anticipated since it is based on the new Android 12 OS. Furthermore, its predecessor, the One UI 3.1.1 update, didn’t bring major upgrades or changes to the custom skin.

Previously, the latest version’s beta was expected to go live on September 9 but the brand has delayed the roll out for an indefinite period as of right now. Although, since Samsung has already committed to a September time frame for the launch, the delay might not be too long. However, it is still unlikely to just roll out over the coming weekend. Unfortunately, the reason for the delay is currently unknown. But following tradition, we can expect the beta to drop in the company’s home country, South Korea, first before being released in other regions. New renders of the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 11T series have just surfaced. The new leak arrives just a few days prior to the launch date, and also reveal list of products that the company will be launching in about a week.

The new renders were shared by known tipster Ishan Agarwal and PriceBaba ahead of the series September 15 launch event. While renders of the smartphones have leaked before, the new ones offer us a better look at the design of the upcoming handsets. Furthermore, Ishan Agarwal also claimed that the Mi Pad 5 tablet and the Mi 11 Lite 5G NE will also be announced at the same event, while also revealing a key detail regarding the upcoming launch of the tablet.

Looking at the Mi 11 Lite 5G NE render first, it seems that the Chinese tech giant will be releasing the device in color options similar to the Mi 11 Lite 4G but with a new white color variant as well. The Mi 11 Lite 5G NE can be spotted in Vinyl Black, Tuscany Coral, and Jazz Blue. The NE in the model name stands for New Edition, with this model featuring a Snapdragon 778 SoC over the Snapdragon 780 chip on the regular Mi 11 Lite 5G. Although, rest of the specifications are expected to be mostly the same.

Arriving at the Mi 11T series, the base and Pro variant of the smartphones can be spotted in white, blue, and grey colors. Furthermore, these are similar to a previous listing which found that the color options are called Meteorite Gray, Celestial Blue, and Moonlight White. The renders also reveal the positioning of the volume rockers and the recessed power button, which is likely the embedded fingerprint scanner.

Notably, the tipster also revealed the European pricing of the upcoming Mi Pad 5 as well. The tablet will be available in global markets in a single storage variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage and carry a price tag of 399 Euros (roughly 472 US Dollars). The Galaxy M52 5G will be the next major Galaxy M series smartphone from Samsung for India. The entire specifications of this handset leaked last month. Today, the device’s press renders reveal its design as well as color options.

The renders of Galaxy M52 5G come from reliable leaker Ishan Agarwal via MySmartPrice. As per the images, the phone will have a rear finish similar to the Galaxy F62. In other words, the smartphone’s back will have pinstripes.

Talking about placements, a triple rear camera setup will be placed vertically. The location and shape of this camera array remind us of the Galaxy S20 FE. Further, the volume rockers and the fingerprint sensor-embedded power key will reside on the right side, the SIM card slot on the left side, and the front of the handset will sport an Infinity-O (centered punch-hole) display.

As far as specs are concerned, the upcoming Galaxy M52 5G will flaunt a 6.7-inch FHD+ (1080 x 2400 pixels) Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The device will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset coupled with 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.

The rear camera array will include a 64MP primary sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide unit, and a 5MP depth sensor. Whereas, on the front, there will be a 32MP shooter for selfies and video calls.

As for software, the phone will come with One UI 3.1 based on Android 11 with support for Knox 3.7 security, Quick Switch, Content Suggestions. Unlike most budget 5G smartphones, this one will have 11 5G bands but will only ship with a 15W charger. Lastly, the handset will measure 164 x 76 x 7 mm in dimensions and weigh 175g.

As of now, Samsung is yet to officially announce the launch date for Galaxy M52 5G in India.

DJI Mavic 3 renders showcase the upcoming drone’s design and dual Hasselblad cameras

DJI, the Chinese company known globally for its drones, has a lineup of small drones under the Mavic branding. Now, the company is working on the next-generation model which is reportedly called DJI Mavic 3.

The upcoming product’s design was leaked last month and now renders of the DJI Mavic 3 have surfaced online. The renders come via DroneDJ which is citing a trusted source in China and claims it to be close to the real product.

The renders reveal that the arms are thinner but other aspects of the product, including the rear-loading battery, are in line with the previous leaks. The camera module portion shows Hasselblad branding which matches last month’s leak.

The previous leak claimed that the DJI Mavic 3 will come with two camera sensors. The main camera will be able to shoot videos in up to 5.7K resolution while the secondary sensor will offer 7x optical zoom support.

It is also expected to come packed with 1TB of internal storage and powered by a 6,00mAh battery. Not much is known about the device at this time but we expect to know more in the coming days or weeks.

As for the availability, there are contradicting details. While a report claims that the product could get launched in October or November, another report claims that the launch has been delayed until January 2022. Given that the company has stopped production of DJI Mavic 2 Pro, it’s likely that the new model will get launched in a month or two.

Apple is expected to see robust sales in the second half of this year, which could lead it to grab one third of the total global 5G smartphone shipments in 2021. The company may achieve this owing to the previously launched iPhone 12 series and the upcoming iPhone 13 lineup as well.

According to a Counterpoint Research report, the Cupertino based giant’s 2021 iPhone are set to cause a spike in 5G handset shipments in the fourth quarter of this year. This would have shipments reach a sizeable 200 million units, which would help the total shipments of the year reach 605 million units. Back in 2020, the brand’s iPhone 12 accounted for 24 percent of all 5G handset shipments globally despite the new iPhones launch being delayed by a month.

But this year, the brand would likely be able to see a higher market share thanks to the release being at its traditional launch date. Through this earlier release, the iPhone 13 could have Apple capture a notable 33 percent of global 5G smartphone shipments this year. Counterpoint researchers believe that the ‘appetite’ for iOS devices is strong in various markets, despite some models not having certain ‘must have’ specs.

As per Jeff Fieldhack, research director for North America, “Apple could hit a significant milestone in terms of US installed base, where Android has been bleeding share to iOS, which now sits at around 44 percent. A strong holiday season, some economic recovery, further COVID easing and continued privacy and services push from Cupertino could certainly be enough to nudge the balance in Apple’s favor.”

For those unaware, the JioPhone Next smartphone arrives from a Reliance Jio and Google collaboration that sought to bring a first of its kind experience that was made for India. The model features an optimized OS that is based on Android and Play Store and would offer premium capabilities like voice first features, which was usually common in high end smartphones. This feature would allow users to consume content and navigate their handsets with their own language, while also delivering a great camera performance with Android features and security updates as well.

In a joint statement, the Indian telecom giant and the search engine giant said that the JioPhone Next is currently under going advanced trials with a limited set of users for “further refinement” and the company’s are currently aiming at launch date set in the Diwali festive season. Furthermore, another major factor leading to the delay is the global semiconductor shortage. The delayed launch would enable both brands to better “mitigate” the industry wide shortage of chipsets.

At the Mi 11 Lite launch event for India, Xiaomi revealed that it has plans to release the 5G variant of the device in the country. A couple of days back, this handset was tipped to debut in the region in September itself. Yesterday, we even got to learn about the phone’s primary specs and price for Europe (€329). Today, another leak hints at the possible price of this smartphone in India.

The upcoming Mi 11 Lite 5G for India and other markets will be slightly different than the original model. This phone will be called Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE, where ‘NE’ stands for New Edition. Other than the new name, the forthcoming handset will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset instead of a Snapdragon 780G SoC.

Talking about the main highlight of this story, the yet-to-release mid-range 5G Xiaomi smartphone will cost around ₹23,000-₹24,000 in India. This piece of information comes from Yogesh Brar via 91Mobiles.

The tipster says that the price of the device will not cross ₹25,000 as Xiaomi wants to under the recently launched realme GT Master Edition, which also has a similar set of features

Having said that, since the phone is said to make its way to India by the end of this month, we can expect Xiaomi to start teasing it sooner than later.

The Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE will arrive with features like a 6.55-inch FHD+ OLED display, 64MP + 8MP + 5MP triple rear camera setup, 20MP selfie camera, Android 11, 6.8mm thickness, and 159g weight. This smartphone could be part of the rumored Xiaomi CC11 series in China.

OnePlus Nord 2 explodes in the pocket of an Indian Lawyer’s Black Robe

Another OnePlus Nord 2 has exploded in India. This time the incident affected an Indian lawyer who claimed that his new premium mid range handset caught fire and exploded while it was resting idle.

The news arrives from MySmartPrice who found that a Twitter user named Gaurav Gulati claimed that his Nord 2 unit had recently caught fire and exploded. Notably, this marks the second time this particular model has seen an accident in the region. Back in August, the Chinese smartphone brand had responded to another incident regarding a Nord 2 unit exploding, but ruled out the cause as external factors rather than a manufacturing defect.

But now, an Indian lawyer claims that the device was simply in his black robe when he suddenly realized he felt something hot in his pocket. After this, Gulati stated that he threw away his robe and saw smoke coming out of the device, which later caught fire and even exploded inside a court chamber. He further claimed that the device was not on charge and that around 90 per cent of the battery was left as the smartphone was not in use before the incident.

At the moment, OnePlus has reached out to Gulati and have asked for him to submit his device. Although, it seems that he is taking the legal route and has submitted his Nord 2 to the police and has filed an official complaint against the company’s India branch. Furthermore, the lawyer has even complained to the consumer court, bringing an injunction to block the sales of the phone in India. Gaurav is making this move as he found that the company was “quite insensitive to injuries and trauma I have suffered.”

In a statement, OnePlus said “Last evening, an individual notified us about an alleged blast case for the OnePlus Nord 2 on Twitter, and our team immediately reached out to this individual to verify the legitimacy of the claim. We take every claim such as this very seriously out of concern for user safety. However, despite multiple attempts to analyse the device, including a visit to the premises earlier today to examine it in the individual’s presence, he has so far denied us the opportunity to perform a proper diagnosis. Under such circumstances, it is impossible for us to verify the legitimacy of this claim or address this individual’s demands for compensation.”

After the frequent screen cracking incidents on the new Apple M1 MacBook Pro and MacBook Air came to light, law firm Migliaccio & Rathod has escalated the process on their end to see if there’s a scope for a class action suit against Apple. The firm has begun asking users to complete a questionnaire in order to get more details in this regard.

Apple M1 MacBook users have been troubled by an issue where the screen is cracking for no apparent reason. The affected lot headed to customer support only to end up listening to vague and unsatisfactory responses from the company representatives. Adding to which the law firm states, “Many users allege that they have opened their devices from the closed position without applying any undue pressure, only to find dramatic cracks in the retina display, often accompanied by black bars running across the screen.”

Migliaccio & Rathod has a valid point and further says, “Whatever the case, users are left with little choice but to spend upwards of $600.00 to have their display repaired, with no guarantee that the screen crack defect won’t reoccur at a later date,”

Apple may have messed up things in the backend but what escalated this issue is the inconvenience in after-sales service from the company. Spending extra to fix a problem that you had little to do with is the base of the story.

This isn’t the first time Apple has been slammed by a class-action suit. Earlier, Apple admitted to throttling down older iPhones and agreed to have a $500 Million settlement. If the law firm is able to establish a strong base after its investigation, Apple will have one more action lawsuit coming their way, this time for cracking display issues.

The law firm has its history too. Three years ago it investigated a potential lawsuit against Microsoft for a screen flickering issue in the Surface Pro 4‘s but later on, dropped its plans after Microsoft offered a replacement program.

Motorola Moto E30 with Unisoc CPU, 2GB RAM spotted

Motorola is reportedly planning to launch a couple of E-series smartphones. Last month, the rumor mill leaked renders and specs of the Moto E20 handset. There have been reports about the existence of the Moto E40 handset. Now, a Geekbench listing of the upcoming Moto E30 (via) has appeared today to reveal some of its key specs.

It was revealed by reputed tipster Evan Blass last month that the upcoming Moto E30 is codenamed as “Cyprus.” The same codename can be seen mentioned in the Geekbench listing. It reveals that the E30 is powered by an octa-core Unisoc processor that has a base frequency of 1.82GHz.

The listing further reveals that it has 2 GB of RAM, and it runs on Android 11 OS. It scored 305 points in the single-core test and 762 points in the multi-core test. Hopefully, the rumor mill will spill the other specs of the device in the coming days.

In related news, the Moto E20 is expected to arrive with a 6.5-inch LCD panel that offers an HD+ resolution. It is said to be powered by the Unisoc T606 chipset and 2 GB of RAM. It may come with 32 GB of storage and Android 11 (Go edition).

The device may feature a front camera of 5-megapixel. Its rear camera setup may include a 13-megapixel main camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. It may house a 4,000mAh battery that supports 10W charging. The device lacks a fingerprint scanner. It may arrive in blue and black. This handset is likely to be rebadged as the Lenovo K14 in some markets.

Infinix is going to announce the Infinix Zero X smartphone on Sept. 13 through a global launch event. Reports have revealed that the lineup includes three models such as Zero X, Zero X Neo, and Zero X Pro. It is unclear whether all three models will be announced together next week. The Zero X Neo (model number X6810) was spotted last month at the Google Play Console. Fresh information reveals that the Zero X (model number X6811B) and Zero X Pro (model number X6811) have also appeared at Play Console (via).

The front image of the Zero X and Zero X Pro that have appeared at Play Console reveal that they are fitted with a centrally aligned punch-hole display. Reports have revealed that both smartphones will come equipped with an AMOLED panel.

The Google Play Console listings show that both phones support a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a 480ppi pixel density. Both models are preinstalled with Android 11 OS.

The Zero X and Zero X Pro are powered by the MediaTek MT6785 SoC, which seems to be the recently unveiled Helio G96 chipset. Both models are also fitted with 8 GB of RAM. Probably, the Zero X and X Pro may come with identical specs, and they may only differ in the camera department.

Reports have revealed that the Infinix Zero X Pro features a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen that offers a 120Hz refresh rate and an in-screen fingerprint scanner. It has a front camera of 16-megapixel, and its rear shell has a 108-megapixel main camera with OIS, an ultrawide lens, and a periscope zoom lens. the Zero X Pro is backed by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 40W rapid charging. Samsung and SK Telecom have unveiled the Galaxy Wide5 smartphone in South Korea. It is a budget-friendly 5G phone that offers features like a big display, 64-megapixel triple cameras, large internal storage, and a big battery.

Samsung Galaxy Wide5 specifications and features

The Galaxy Wide5 (SM-E426S model number) has a 6.6-inch display that offers a Full HD+ resolution. The Infinity-V notch on the display houses a front camera of 8-megapixel. Its rear camera includes a 64-megapixel primary camera, a 5-megapixel ultrawide lens with a 115-degree FOV, and a 2-megapixel depth assist lens.

The MediaTek Dimensity 700 is present under the hood of the Galaxy Wide5. It ships with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. For additional storage, it has a microSD card slot. The device runs on Android 11 OS.

The Wide5 is backed by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 15W fast charging. For security, it has a side-facing fingerprint scanner. The smartphone measures 167.2 x 76.4 x 9mm and weighs 203 grams.

Samsung Galaxy Wide5 price and availability

The Galaxy Wide5 is listed with a price tag of KRW 449,900 (~$385) on SK Telecom’s store. It comes in three colors such as black, white, and blue. The smartphone is available for purchase through online and offline stores of SK Telecom starting from today.

Before the launch of the Wide5, it was speculated that it could be rebranded version of the Galaxy A22 5G. As can be seen, the Wide5 differs from the A22 5G in departments like main camera and rear design. Samsung is expected to soon announce the Galaxy F42 5G (model number SM-E426B-DS) in India. Since the F42 5G’s model number is similar to the Wide5, it appears that the F42 5G could be a rebadged edition of the Wide5.
