Xiaomi crowdfunds the DIIIB Supercharged Smart Toilet for ¥2299 (~$350)

Chinese tech giant Xiaomi has officially unveiled the DIIIB Supercharged Smart Toilet under crowdfunding on the Youpin platform. Although the device carries a retail price of 4,499 yuan (~$686), the device will be sold for 2,299 yuan (~$350) during the crowdfunding period.

The smart toilet is a solution to issues of low water pressure experienced by persons living in high-rise buildings or other places where the water pressure makes it difficult to flush the toilet in one fell swoop. The DIIIB Supercharged Smart Toilet comes with a built-in dual-engine power pressurized flushing system. Compared with conventional smart toilets, it has very low water pressure requirements. It does not need to be picky about installation conditions, and it can achieve speed without modifying the original pipeline.

In terms of working principle, the smart toilet has a dual-control drain valve with pressurization technology and an innovative internal buoyancy structure that can drive the drain valve to open instantaneously to achieve a second-speed and large-displacement flush. After the flushing is over, it will automatically reset quickly to save water consumption. The smart toilet utilizes mechanical and physical controls which allows it to still be cleaned even if the power is cut off.

The DIIIB Supercharged Smart Toilet features two specifications. The standard version provides dual-engine pressurization + instant heat + digital display + remote control operation + pressurization pulse washing function, while the upgraded version is 300 yuan more expensive than the standard version. The foot feeling flushing, anti-freeze crack filter function.

As a smart toilet, it supports seat heating, water temperature heating, warm air drying, activated carbon deodorization, soft night light, and other functions. It also features an LCD display that shows the current water temperature.

vivo V21 5G clears India’s BIS certification ahead of launch

Chinese smartphone maker vivo is expected to launch the vivo V21 series in the coming days. The vanilla model in the lineup called vivo V21 5G was recently certified in Indonesia. A few days later, this handset has cleared India’s BIS certification as well.

The upcoming vivo v21 series will be the successor to the vivo V20 series. For those unaware, the vivo V20 series includes a single 5G device called vivo V20 Pro 5G. Whereas, the vivo V21 series may include at least two 5G models.

That’s because the standard vivo V21 has been certified as a 5G smartphone in both Indonesia and India with model number V2050. Since the previous-gen Pro model is a 5G-ready device, we expect vivo V21 Pro to support 5G as well.

Further, the vivo V20 Pro 5G is a rebranded vivo S7 5G, which is sold in China. Hence, the vivo S9 5G could launch as vivo V21 Pro 5G. Similarly, we think that vivo S9e could be the vivo V21 5G.

Anyway, it is just speculation from our end. We are yet to come across any proof that could prove this theory. As of now, all we can say is that vivo V21 5G could release in Indonesia and India.

Last but not least, the vivo V21 series will reportedly include vivo S21 SE as well.

Huawei Exec explains why the company doesn’t build cars

The Huawei Global Analyst Conference was held earlier today (12th April 2021) in Shenzhen, China. In the event, the company’s rotating chairman explained why the brand does not build cars.

During the event, Xu Zhijun, the rotating chairman of the Chinese tech giant was asked why the company did not build cars. The question even pointed at the rival brand Xiaomi as an example. Zhijun responded that the company will continue to increase its investment into smart car softwares for the growth of intelligence, automation, and the shift of the automobile industry to electric vehicles. But, he emphasized that Huawei’s position in the industry is relatively small, as it is just a component supplier in the field of smart connected vehicles.

The senior official further added that the decision for Huawei to not build a car was made after many years of discussions. Apparently, the company has internally assessed entering the automobile industry since 2012. Furthermore, car related research also began around that time, with ‘Internet of Vehicles’ laboratory being established by the brand in the same year. This was back when the company was studying the concept of electric vehicles, smart cars, and autonomous driving systems.

Since then, Xu Zhijun said that Huawei found that its technology was becomingly increasingly more common in automobiles, along with its value in the self driving market growing as well. Thus, the company decided against building cars, rather, they would shift the focus to provide ICT capabilities to help make better smart cars, which is reflected by its partnership with various automobile makers. Apart from just the software, the company also seeks to include Huawei branded electronic products that can be found inside the car.

POCO F has its own fanbase in India and has become sort of a cult despite the absence since 2018. The company has, however, pitched about the resurrection a few months back, and now POCO India Director Anuj Sharma says it is in progress and will cost way more when launched.

Answering a user’s query on Twitter, Anuj said that the work regarding the POCO F-series device is in progress. Now, we can safely say that the successor of POCO F1 will also be a proper flagship as Anuj already confirmed that it won’t feature any midrange chipset.

The company’s global division recently launched the POCO F3 in European markets. Of course, it succeeds the 2020’s POCO F2 Pro globally but we don’t have any of those in India. And looking at recent reports, the POCO F3, which is itself a Redmi K40 rebrand, could launch in India as Mi 11X.

Hence, we request you not to fixate yourself on a name just yet. That said, you might ask what is the POCO flagship for India then? Well, Xiaomi is all set to launch a gaming smartphone in China, probably this month(April 2021), and reports say that this could be arriving in India under POCO.

The gaming smartphone is likely having the model number M2104K10C in China and an Indian version of this has already appeared on the IMEI database under POCO branding. And now, a vague tip given to Abhishek Yadav says that this device will launch in India as POCO F2 for ₹27,000($359).

The Redmi gaming device is said to feature a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset and have 65W charging support. But, there are chances of this being a separate device, while the successor of POCO F1 will continue to have a Qualcomm Snapdragon flagship chipset as well.

All these are early guesses and hence, we request you to take them with a heap of salt. Whatever is the case, as Anuj says, don’t expect the flagship to launch at a lower price like POCO X3 Pro or in Twitterati terms, at a flagship killer price.

There is a growing preference for robopets which are robots using artificial intelligence (AI) to perform sometimes extraordinary tasks. US-based firm Boston Dynamics is a leading light in robotics, with its famous robotic dog called Spot. A Chinese tech firm, Welian has now developed the Chinese version of Spot, called AlphaDog, which is already on sale in China for 16,000 yuan ($2,400). Compared to the $74,500 price tag of Spot, this is, without doubt, a far cheaper version.

AlphaDog uses sensors and artificial intelligence (AI) to perform several tasks, and Welian says that future upgrades will further expand the robotic dog’s capability to carry out a whole host of applications, including guiding the visually impaired, barking, and even carrying out voice commands from its owner.

Welian says AlphaDog is very similar to a real dog, and it can get to a top speed of 9 miles per hour, placing it among the fastest robots presently. AlphaDog also can retain its balance even when kicked by humans. It can determine the amount of friction and ground conditions to adjust its height, adjust its pace, and adapt to its environment, according to Welian’s chief technical officer, Ma Jie.

Welian has deployed 5G technology to make AlphaDog carry out tasks autonomously. More than 1,800 units have been sold within the first month of the release of AlphaDog. According to Welian, much of the current orders were from computer developers, tech enthusiasts, and kids.

It remains to be seen how soon Welian will incorporate all the necessary upgrades that would transform AlphaDog into a visually impaired guide, a dog capable of deterring intruders through a menacing barking spree, and being able to communicate via voice prompts from its owner. These aspects are obviously under development by several robotics firms across the world.

Recall that Boston Dynamics’ Spot recently participated in a combat exercise involving humans and robots in France, carrying out reconnaissance missions during the exercise.

Samsung Galaxy Quantum2 unboxing video confirms curved display & in-box 15W charger

Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Quantum2 in South Korea on April 23. Ahead of its official announcement, this smartphone has leaked extensively revealing almost everything about it. Now, a new unboxing video appears on the internet.

The Samsung Galaxy Quantum2 unboxing video confirms the device to sport a curved display. The edges of the phone’s screen are curved minutely. Hence, they were not clearly visible in the leaked images. The video also reveals that the handset will ship with a 15W charger and a USB Type-A to Type-C cable.

Other than the above-mentioned specifics, this video does not reveal anything else that wasn’t known earlier. The Galaxy Quantum2 is expected to launch as Galaxy A82 in global markets.

Talking about the design, this upcoming Samsung smartphone will look identical to the recently released Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A72. However, unlike those handsets, this one will feature a metal frame, a triple camera setup, and will be only available in three colors (Grey, White, Violet).

Further, the phone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ SoC coupled with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage with support for MicroSD cards. On the front, the device will flaunt a 6.7-inch 120Hz WQHD+ Dynamic AMOLED Infinity-O curved display with an in-screen ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and a 10MP auto-focus selfie camera inside the punch-hole.

The back of the handset will house a vertically-aligned 64MP (wide, OIS) + 12MP (ultrawide) + 5MP (macro) triple camera setup. Other features of this smartphone include Samsung Pay with MST, IP67 rating for dust and water resistance, Dolby Atmos speakers, One UI 3.x based on Android 11, 4,500mAh battery, and 25W fast charging.

Last but not least, the Galaxy Quantum2 (aka Galaxy A82) will measure 161.9 x 73.8 x 8.1mm in dimensions, weigh 176g, and will retail for KRW 699,600 ($622) in South Korea.

TCL brings the MoveAudio S150, S200 and ACTV500 wireless earbuds to India

TCL, which recently launched the Android 11 Smart TVs in India, has brought Wireless earbuds at different price points to the country. They are MoveAudio S150, S200, and ACTV500 TWS.

TCL MoveAudio S150

TCL had launched the MoveAudio S150 wireless earbuds back in November 2020. They have a semi in-ear design and come with a 13mm audio driver and a titanium diaphragm.

Some of the features of the TWS include single earbud mode, 120ms low-latency transmission. As for connectivity, it has Bluetooth 5.0, and the charging case, which looks like the Enco W31, charges via USB-C.

Each earbud has a 30mAh battery and offers up to 3.5 hrs battery life. The charging case has a 500mAh battery and offers up to 20 hrs of battery life in a single charge. It also has an IPX4 rating, touch controls on its stem, support for Siri or the Google Assistant. The MoveAudio S150 is priced at ₹1,999 in India.

TCL MoveAudio S200

The TCL MoveAudio S200, which first debuted at IFA 2020, has four microphones and basic ENC (Electronic Noise Cancelation) for better call clarity as its USP. Just like the MoveAudio S150, it has a 13mm large audio driver unit.

The charging case of this is oval in shape and looks somewhat like the Vivo’s TWS, Google Pixel Buds, etc. And speaking of the charging case, it is said to offer a slightly higher battery life of 23 hours.

While each earbud of MoveAudio S200 has the same 3.5 hrs claimed battery life, it has ENC as mentioned above. Other features include IP54 rating, 120ms low latency, wear detection, voice assistant support. The wireless earbuds will be sold in White color for ₹3,999 in India.

TCL ACTV500

The TCL ACTV500 TWS are a year old and come with a trendy design and as per the company, they are “sporty headphones”. Accordingly, the earbuds have Comply™ foam tips and 6mm drivers for premium audio on each.

The earbuds have some sort of copper accents on them and the charging case. The case, which supports wireless charging and USB-C charging, even has a carabiner(for grip, travel) attached to it.

These TWS have features like echo cancellation, crystal-clear sound, punchy bass, 6.5hrs battery life(on earbuds), 33hrs battery life(with charging case), Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, are IPX7 rated. The TCL ACTV500 wireless earbuds get an introductory price tag of ₹4,499 in India and come in Copper Dust color.

All the earbuds will be available via Flipkart and other retail outlets in the country.

A mysterious Motorola phone has appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking platform. The listing reveals that it could be arriving as one of the cheapest 5G phones from the brand.

A Motorola smartphone labeled as “alps Motorola Motorola” has appeared on the benchmarking site with a single-core score of 2354 and a multi-core score of 6195. The handset is powered by a MediaTek chipset that has a model number MT6853V/NZA.

The model number of the chipset suggests that it could be powered by the Density 720 chipset. The listing further reveals that it has 6 GB of RAM and it runs on Android 11 OS. The other details of the smartphone are under wraps. Hopefully, newer reports will shed more light on its identity.

Currently, the Snapdragon 480 powered Motorola Moto G50 is the cheapest 5G phone from the brand. It features a 6.5-inch IPS LCD screen that offers a 90Hz refresh rate, an HD+ resolution, and a 20:9 aspect ratio. It comes preinstalled with Android 11 OS. t has 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB o built-in storage.

The Moto G50 has a front camera of 13-megapixel and a triple camera system featuring a 48-megapixel primary camera, a 5-megapixel macro camera, and a 2-megapixel sensor. It houses a 5,000mAh battery that supports 15W fast charging. The back panel of the; phone features a fingerprint scanner, and it has a microSD card slot for more storage. The Moto G50 Is priced at 249 euros in Europe and it comes like Aqua Green and Steel Gray.

Earlier today (12th April 2021), Huawei announced that its latest Vision S smart TV series will be arriving in the Malaysian market. The new TV will be launching on 20th April 2021, with the country being the first region outside of China to receive the company’s first smart TV.

As per a TechNave report, the Chinese tech giant will be launching two size variants, including a 55 inch and a 65 inch model. One of the notable features of the upcoming smart TV is the inclusion of the webcam on top. This enabled the users to make video calls through Huawei MeeTime at 1080p resolution. Furthermore, the display is also a 4K panel with support for 120Hz high refresh rate as well.

For a more seamless experience, the company has also enabled users to utilize the OneHop feature that works with compatible Huawei smartphones. This means that one would be able to project the screen of your smartphone on to the smart TV. For audio, the new Vision S smart TV series features quad 10W speakers on the rear, while the device can also be paired with the Sound X speaker and WiFI AX3 router.

Unfortunately, while the consumer electronics maker has announced the arrival of the new smart TVs and their launch dates, it has yet to divulge any information regarding pricing and availability. The Amazfit GTR 2 family added a new member last week. The new smartwatch is the Amazfit GTR 2 eSIM Edition and it joins the Amazfit GTR 2 and the Amazfit GTR 2e.

The new smartwatch adds an eSIM, allowing users to be able to make and receive calls among other functions without the need for a connection to a phone. What this means is that you can leave your phone at home and still be able to make and receive calls as well as reply to an SMS. Owners can decide to use the same number as the one for their phone or get a new number for the watch.

Huami has put a price tag of ¥1999 (~$305) on the Amazfit GTR 2 eSIM and it is already available for purchase in China in Obsidian Black. The watch is compatible with all three major Chinese operators (China Mobile, China Telecom, and China Unicom).

Save for the eSIM and surprisingly, the battery capacity, the rest of the specs are the same as those of the standard Amazfit GTR 2. The display is a 1.39-inch AMOLED screen with curved glass on top and a polished aluminum alloy frame.

The smartwatch has support for 90 sports modes and can autodetect 6. It has a BioTracker 2 PPG sensor that monitors the user’s heart rate in real-time. There is also support for Blood oxygen level detection and sleep tracking. The Amazfit GTR 2 eSIM has Xiao AI assistant which has both online and offline functions. It also has NFC, 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 5.0.

The surprising part is the battery capacity which is much smaller at 338mAh compared to that of its siblings which is 471mAh. The specification page says that the watch will last 48 hours in heavy usage mode, 96 hours in standard usage mode, and 14 days in power saving mode. The charging time is put at 2 hours.

There is no news yet of a global release of the Amazfit GTR 2 eSIM.

Fake ads of a PC version of Clubhouse has been spreading malware

With the recent and explosive growth of Clubhouse app, fake versions of the application has been spreading around via fake ads. These ads have also been responsible for the increasing number of malware infections.

According to a PhoneArena report, the rising popularity is what likely lead to the creation of these fake ads of a non existent Clubhouse app. For those unaware, Clubhouse is only available in Apple iOS at the moment. Meaning, the Android version is still a few months away. But since the app has been quite popular in recent times, fake ads of its non existent versions, which is filed with malware has been circulating online.

For those unaware, the audio only chat room has become a rising social media platform over the course of a year. But, certain Facebook ads have been connecting users to pages on the social media site that impersonate the app. If people click on these ads, they will be directed to a fake Clubhouse PC website. When tapped, the link is also included with malware, which is downloaded into the victim’s device.

This app seeks instructions from a C&C (command and control) server as to what action to take next. Some of the people that clicked on the fake ads had their device be loaded with ransomware. In other words, victims would have to pay money for the infected device to function normally again. While Facebook hasn’t revealed the exact number of clicks on these fake ads, nine of these ads were discovered on the social media platform.

The Samsung Galaxy F62 is the company’s most affordable smartphone with a flagship chipset. The handset made its global debut in India in mid-February. Now, almost two months after its release, this phone has been discounted for a limited time in the country.

Samsung launched the Galaxy F62 in two storage variants and three color versions (Laser Green, Laser Blue, and Laser Grey). The device is priced at ₹23,999 and 25,999 for the 6GB + 128GB and the 8GB + 128GB storage configurations respectively.

But now, according to a report by 91Mobiles, the handset has been discounted for a limited time across offline stores in India. The price of both the variants has been dropped by ₹2,000.

Hence, interested customers can purchase the Galaxy F62 for either ₹21,999 (6GB + 128GB) or ₹23,999 (8GB + 128GB) up until April 19. This offer is applicable to all three colors. Interestingly, this discount is not available online.

That said, the highlights of the Samsung Galaxy F62 includes an Exynos 9825 SoC, 6.7-inch sAMOLED+ Infinity-O (centered punch-hole) FHD+ (1080 x 2400 pixels) display, 7,000mAh battery, 25W fast charging, 64MP (wide) + 12MP (ultra-wide) + 5MP (macro) + 5MP (depth) quad-camera setup, 32MP selfie camera, and One UI Core 3.1 based on Android 11.

ZTE Axon 30 Ultra ‘Super Moon Ultra’ feature to take on Astrophotography mode of rivals

ZTE is emphasizing a lot on cameras of the upcoming ZTE Axon 30 series of devices. With just three days left for the launch, it has confirmed today that it will have a Super Moon Ultra mode.

Capturing the celestial bodies or the areas of the night sky isn’t new to us. Other smartphone makers have their own version of Astrophotography to capture the stars and moon during the night-time. However, it looks like the ZTE Axon 30 Ultra will take it to the next level.

In a series of posts on Weibo, ZTE showcases how the Super Moon Ultra mode on the device works. Although the company shares the posts with #ZTEAxon30series, the teasers are shown with the Ultra so we will have to wait and see if other devices support it.

Talking about the Super Zoom Ultra, ZTE says that the model relies on multi-camera synchronization to perfectly bring the clarity of the moon and the environment surrounding it. By fusing this with the algorithm underneath, the images that come out are said to produce perfect moonlight seen by the human eye.

The images suggest that the Ultra will make use of the 64MP trio and the 8MP Periscope Telephoto Super Zoom lenses to get the right shot. Also, in a couple of videos, we can see that the device has a curved display with a punch-hole at the center for the selfie camera.

Reports so far say that the ZTE Axon 30 Pro and Ultra variants will have a second-generation under-display front camera with a 44MP lens. The display is likely a 6.92-inch OLED screen with 10-bit colors, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 360Hz touch sampling rate.

Talking about the camera, the Ultra is said to have a 64MP f/1.6 main, 64MP ultra-wide, 64MP portrait lens, in addition to that 8MP periscope lens with 5X optical zoom.

Other expected specs include Snapdragon 888 flagship chipset, LPDDR5 RAM, and the latest UFS 3.1 storage, 4,500mAh battery with 55W or 65W fast charging support, MyOS based on Android 11.

Apple is rumored to launch new iPad models in the first half of this year and now a new report coming from Bloomberg confirms that the Apple iPad Pro 2021 is on track to get launched later this month.

The report also says that despite issues related to the supply of Mini-LED displays, the upcoming Apple iPad Pro will feature a Mini-LED screen, replacing the LCD panels in the 12.9-inch variant of the iPad Pro.

While the report claims that Apple may announce the new 2021 iPad Pro later this month, it also points out the possibility that the more expensive version of the Mini-LED display may ship a few weeks later.

The new iPad Pro is expected to come with an upgraded camera as well as support for the Thunderbolt connection via USB-C port. It is also believed that the device could come powered by the Apple A14X chipset which means that the device may have a processor based on the Apple M1 chip.

What remains to be seen is that if Apple is planning to hold a special launch event for the introduction of the new iPad models or if the device will be announced through a press release, just like the company did last year.

An iPhone 11 Pro with a misaligned Apple brand logo on the rear has just been sold. The device had the branding positioned incorrectly and was allegedly sold for a high price of 2,700 US Dollars.

According to an AppleInsider report, a tweet by Internal Archive on Twitter shared images of the rear of an iPhone 11 Pro model. In the images, the handset can be seen in multiple angles. This offers a clear look of the iPhone, highlighting its misprinted brand logo on the rear. Looking at the defect, it is clear the angle of the logo and its actual position is incorrect compared to the centrally aligned official logos that can be found on the rear of every iPhone.

We can see that the misprinted logo is off center and positioned noticeably to the right. Furthermore, the angle of the logo is also titled slightly anticlockwise. If this is truly the case, then the device would have faced a manufacturing error where the rear panel was likely not seated properly when the machine was imprinting the logo on the iPhone. Unfortunately, the tweet offers very little details and there is no concrete evidence to support the existence of the device.

Although, there is still a plausible chance for this to occur, however, it is numerically unlikely considering that this would be extremely rare. Like, ” in 100 million” chance of it ever happening. This would also mean that the faulty device also managed to somehow make it through the Cupertino based giant’s strict quality assurance process and actually shipped to a customer. Lastly, it is also unknown how and where this misprinted iPhone 11 Pro was sold for 2,700 US Dollars.

Apple and Qualcomm are facing a lawsuit as both companies are accused of patent infringement. The lawsuit targets certain 5G technologies that are used by both companies, which infringes on an RF calibration patent.

According to an AppleInsider report, lawsuit was filed in the US District Court for the Western District of Texas last week. It alleges that a handful of the chip makers 5G wireless transceivers infringe on its patent. Similarly, it further adds that the iPhone 12 series from the Cupertino based giant uses these infringing transceiver technology, as the lineup incorporates Qualcomm’s 5G modems.

To be specific, the lawsuit targets Qualcomm’s SMR526, SDR865, and SDX55M as the infringing products. The party suing both tech giants is Red Rock, who owns these patents. The lawsuit also alleges that both Apple and Qualcomm had prior knowledge of the existing patent, and the lawsuit alleged that Qualcomm had received notices of the existence of the patent at least three times between the years 2008 and 2011.

Furthermore, the lawsuit states that the actions taken by the iPhone maker and Qualcomm “have been, and continue to be, committed in a knowing willful, and egregious manner and constitute willful infringement of” the intellectual property. At the moment, the complaint seeks a jury trial and a long list of prayers for relief, including enjoinments barring Apple and Qualcomm from infringing on the patent, along with royalty payment and even cover for damages as well.

PUBG Mobile developer reportedly working on a new Sci-Fi game codenamed Vertical

The people behind PUBG Mobile might be working on another new title. Recently, the developers and creators, Krafton, had announced PUBG: New State, and now, a leak suggests that another project could be in the works as well.

According to a TechRadar report, the new project is reportedly working on a sci fi shooter game, although, unlike New State, the IP is not a part of the battle royale genre. At the moment, the game is still under development and it will apparently take at least up to two to even three more years to be completed. The tipster, PlayerIGN, shared screenshots on his Twitter account that revealed key job openings created within the company to work on the project, which is in its nascent stages.

PlayerIGN believes that the game could possibly be the sequel to PlayerUnknown Battlegrounds, and would simply be PUBG 2. However, unlike the original massively popular battle royale title, its sequel might not be a battle royale title in the franchise. Furthermore, the tipster also leaked some interesting details regarding the game as well. This includes its game engine, which is reportedly the Unreal Engine 4.

Currently, the company has opened up 14 new job listings for developer positions in the game. This includes Background Concept Artist, Video Editing Artist, Character Concept Artist, Lighting Artist, etc. Similarly, there are also openings in the development and technical teams as well. The upcoming title might just be a single player focused or campaign centric launch within the battlegrounds series, but that is just speculation, so take it with a pinch of salt and stay tuned for more updates.

Various companies including Samsung, TSMC, Alphabet, AT&T, Ford, and more will be participating in virtual White House summit today (12th April 2021). The summit is set to discuss the current situation surrounding the global shortage of semiconductors.

Notably, while Apple isn’t listed to participate in the summit, the company will be represented in proceedings by its chip supplier TSMC. As per a CNBC report, chief executives from these major tech giants will be present in the virtual summit, which arrives as the Biden administration seeks to investigate the shortages of key supply chain materials like semiconductors, high capacity batteries, rare earth materials and medical supplies as well.

Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the chip suppliers that are based in Asia are unable to keep up with rising demand for semiconductors from various industries like automobile brands, including GM and Ford, and smartphone brands as well. Furthermore, the White House summit arrives as the US lawmakers are concerned over the security of the nation, which is also dependent on the supply of advanced chips. In other words, the White House is concerned regarding the gap in domestic manufacturing and the supply chain, which is predominantly based in “nations that are or are likely to become unfriendly or unstable.”

In February, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer stated that “semiconductor manufacturing is a dangerous weak spot in our economy and in our national security.” He further added that an executive order signed by President Biden was designed to check the “resiliency and capacity of the American manufacturing supply chains and defense industrial base to support national security [and] emergency preparedness.”

Lenovo has officially confirmed to launch two new Android tablets called YOGA Pad Pro and Xiaoxin Pad Plus. We already know some of the specifications of the first model. Now, a popular leakster has revealed certain features of the second device.

Lenovo Tab P11 Pro Featured — Lenovo Tab P11 Pro (aka Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad Pro)

According to Digital Chat Station, the upcoming Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad Plus could be Lenovo’s first 5G tablet. He says that it will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G SoC and an 11-inch display. However, as of now, the company has only confirmed a WiFi-only version with model number TB-J607Z.

Further, the tipster also reiterates the specs of the Lenovo YOGA Pad Pro. As per him, this tablet will come equipped with a 13-inch 2K(2160 × 1350 pixels) display without a punch-hole. It will feature impressive speakers and will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC.

According to previous reports, the Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad Plus will run Android 11. On the other hand, the Lenovo YOGA Pad Pro will have the model number YT-K606F and it has been confirmed to run ZUI 12.5 based on Android 11 in China with support for Lenovo One

That’s not all, the latter tablet is expected to launch as Lenovo YOGA Tab 13 in the global markets with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. Similarly, the former device could release as a Lenovo Tab P11 series tablet internationally.

Apart from these two Android tablets, Lenovo will be also launching a Window-powered 2-in-1 called Lenovo YOGA Duet 2021.
