Lenovo K13, Moto E7i Power, and Moto E6i get Bluetooth certification

The sixth-generation Moto E series debuted in mid-2019 with the release of the Moto E6. Motorola went on to release three other phones in the series – the Moto E6 Play and Moto E6 Plus in 2019 and the Moto E6s in 2020. However, it appears Motorola isn’t done with the series yet even though it has announced the Moto E7 series. The Bluetooth SIG has certified a new model called the Moto E6i along with two other Motorola and Lenovo phones.

The Moto E6i was certified alongside the Lenovo K13 Power and the Moto E7i Power. The new Moto E6 phone has model numbers XT2053-5 and XT2053-6. The certification page shows that it has Bluetooth 4.2.

Moto E6i-Moto E7i Power - Lenovo K13

The Moto E7i Power should join the Moto E7 and the Moto E7 Plus as the third model in the Moto E7 series. When it launches, it will be the first Moto E Power phone in almost five years. The last one was the Moto E3 Power released in 2016. We expect the E7i Power to have an amazing battery life as one of its top features when it launches. The phone will have three market variants seeing as there are three model numbers.

Bluetooth SIG also certified the Lenovo K13, which is surprising considering that the Lenovo K12 series was announced just two months ago. However, it appears the Lenovo K13 will be a rebadge of the Moto E7i Power as its model number XT2097-15 is a variant of the Moto E7i Power’s model numbers.

We don’t know when these three devices will launch, but now that they have been certified, we can expect them to be announced in the coming months.

ASUS plans to launch a small and premium Zenfone Mini flagship phone

The Zenfone 7 series and its predecessor, the Zenfone 6, have managed to stand out in a market that is practically saturated. All three phones have a motorized flip camera system that allows the rear cameras to double as the front-facing cameras. While we do not know if the design will return for the third time this year, there are reports that ASUS will launch a small premium flagship phone which has been dubbed the Zenfone Mini.

First reported by DigiTimes, it is said that the Zenfone Mini will have a small form factor. There is no specific size but it should be smaller than the Zenfone 6/ASUS 6Z which has a 6.4-inch display. Our guess is that the size of the display will be under 6 inches but not below 5.5 inches. Other design details are currently unknown.

ASUS ZenFone 7 series
ZenFone 7 may have a small-sized successor that has been dubbed Zenfone Mini

Save for the smaller screen, the Zenfone Mini should pack flagship specs. So we expect the Snapdragon 888 processor or maybe even the Snapdragon 870 processor to keep the phone’s price low. It should also have flagship-grade cameras and at least 30W fast charging. The battery capacity will most likely be smaller since the footprint of the device has been cut down.

We do not know how soon ASUS will announce the next-gen Zenfone flagship series. Last year’s Zenfone 7 and Zenfone 7 Pro were launched in late August, three months later than their predecessor, the Zenfone 6. The scarcity of components caused by the COVID-19 pandemic may have been responsible for the delayed released

However, since the ROG Phone 5 is rumored to get an early release this year, March as against the ROG Phone 3’s July release date, then there is a chance the Zenfone 8 series (if that is what ASUS will call it), will launch in the first half of the year.

The ROG Phone series is ASUS’ line of gaming smartphones. The ROG Phone 5 is its upcoming mode and it is a highly-anticipated device that is expected to set a new standard for gaming smartphones this year.

Samsung teases the rear design of Galaxy F62

A few days back, a huge leak on the upcoming Galaxy F62 revealed a lot of its specs. Today, the company has teased it on Flipkart albeit not mentioning the name in the teaser.

Jumping into it, a Teaser page appears on Flipkart’s Mobile App under the ‘Flipkart Unique’ tab. Opening it shows a hashtag “#FullOnSpeedy”, a rear of Samsung device, and teases that more info coming up on Feb. 8.  If you recall, tipster Mukul Sharma had leaked that Samsung will soon launch an F-series device and it will be priced under ₹25,000 in India.

Back then, he had also used the same hashtag as before. Additionally, renowned YouTuber Technical Guruji had also leaked a few Specs of the device explicitly mentioning it to be the Galaxy F62 and with #FullOnSpeedy. All these confirm that the device in the teaser is indeed the Galaxy F62.

Anyway, the teaser also has a rear of the image shown in Black Color. If you look closely, you can spot Quad-Cameras inside the Square layout with rounded corners. This also corroborates with the earlier panel leak showing a similar rear camera setup.

Additionally, the teaser shows that there is a power button(with side-mounted fingerprint embedded) and Volume rockers on the right. Besides, the front image could just be a placeholder as we can’t spot front cameras on it. Either way, Galaxy F62 is shaping out to be a device better than Galaxy M51 but with a lower price tag.

As for Specs, Samsung Galaxy F62 is likely to come with a 6.7-inch AMOLED display,  Exynos 9825 chipset, 64MP Quad-Cameras, 32MP Front camera, 8GB RAM, 128GB storage, 7,000mAh battery, and run One UI 3.1 based Android 11.

Vivo V2055A appears on Google Play Console listing, might debut as iQOO Neo5 in mid-March

Yesterday, Vivo V2068A appeared on China’s TENAA revealing key specs and images. Today, another Vivo device has hit Google Play Console and rumors suggest that it might debut as iQOO Neo5 in China.

A Vivo Smartphone with model number V2055A appears on Google Play Console listing(via MySmartPrice). It also has an image but may not be an accurate render of a final product. As for specs, the listing shows that the device will have a display measuring 2400×1080 pixel resolution.

For performance, it lists a Qualcomm SM8250-AC as SoC which is nothing but the Snapdragon 870 5G chipset. The attached GPU is Adreno 650 which is a no-brainer.

Other specs like a possible 12GB RAM variant, running Android 11 also appear on the listing. While there isn’t much info apart from the above, a tipster on Weibo has parallelly hinted that this could be the upcoming iQOO Neo5 smartphone.

According to him, iQOO will launch a device with Snapdragon 870 as the iQOO Neo5 in mid-March. Going by the name, it should succeed the iQOO Neo3 that launched back in April 2020. He also says that the iQOO Neo5 will have a plastic mid-frame and an AMOLED panel with a 2400x1080p resolution and 120Hz refresh rate.

Although it’s a downgrade in resolution compared to the predecessor(144Hz), the swapping of AMOLED for LCD is a great plus. He also mentions other specs like 88W charging, 8GB RAM, 128/256GB storage, and a starting price of 3298 yuan($510). If you recall, the iQOO Neo3 started at $381 so keep that in mind.

Either way, the information on Google Play Console listing seems to somewhat match with the tipster’s info but we cannot guarantee that this will be the iQOO Neo5. Hence, take this info with a pinch of salt and stay tuned to our channels to know more about it in the coming days.

Razer unveils the Huntsman V2 Analog keyboard and Laptop Stand Chroma V2

Razer has launched a new mechanical keyboard dubbed Huntsman V2 Analog and priced at $250. The new keyboard bears semblance with the previous models but has as its biggest distinguishing feature, adjustable actuation switches. That is the amount of movement required to register a press can be adjusted, allowing for near-endless customization through Razer’s Synapse software.

Razer Huntman V2 Analog keyboard
Razer Huntman V2 Analog keyboard

The actuation keys can be programmed with analog inputs to emulate a controller’s joysticks for smoother, variable levels of movement and control. Users will be able to program the keyboard so that pressing a key down slightly will make you walk slowly in-game, while pressing it fully will have you running at a normal clip just as can be done in an analog stick. This function will override the original use cases for the keys but you can revert or switch profiles to use the keys for what it is originally intended for.

Further, Razer’s keyboard allows gamers to program two distinct functions that would usually require two buttons onto one key, with one firing off at one actuation distance and the other when you fully press the key. For instance, you could equip a grenade with a soft press of a key, then throw it by pushing the key all the way down.

The Huntsman V2 Analog keys have a default 3.6mm travel, but you can adjust the distance to a much shorter 1.5mm or anywhere between those values. This won’t change the keys feel when you push them, but a shorter actuation will let you type a little softer without worrying that your keys won’t register a press.

In terms of the build, Razer’s Huntsman V2 Analog has an aluminum frame, a set of dedicated buttons to control media, and a dial for adjusting volume. The keycaps are Doubleshot PBT keycaps, which are said to wear better with age than standard keycaps. There is also a soft wrist rest that contains RGB lights and can be attached magnetically to the keyboard.  It is no surprise that the keyboard also comes with Chroma RGB lights all around it.

It draws power via a USB-C cable which can be plgged into a USB-A port. There is also a second USB Type-A cable hanging off its back that you can plug into your PC.

The Huntsman V2 Analog is now available exclusively at Razer.com through February 9th, when it’ll launch at more retailers.

Razer Laptop Stand Chroma V2

Razer has also unveiled the Laptop Stand Chroma V2 equipped with its own USB Type-C docking station and support for RGB lighting effects.

Razer Laptop Stand Chroma V2

Razer Laptop Stand Chroma V2 is made of matte black aluminum alloy, which only occupies a single USB Type-C port to allow users to use the rear expansion ports, including HDMI and USB Type-A and USB Type-C ports.  Users can deploy the USB-C interface to charge notebooks that support USB Type-C charging function to charge while using the laptop. Users can customize the RGB light strip at the bottom of the bracket and it is equipped with approximately 16.8 million colors through Synapse Thunder Cloud 3 software.

Razer is yet to announce the release date and price of the Laptop Stand Chroma V2.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 and Fold3 may launch in July, claims new leak

Last year, Samsung announced the Galaxy Z Flip with the Galaxy S20 series in Q1 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5G was made official in July. However, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 did not debut with the Galaxy S21 series. A fresh leak suggests that the Galaxy Z Flip3 and Galaxy Z Fold3 will debut in the second half of 2021.

According to tipster Ice Universe, it will take 5 months for Samsung to launch the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Galaxy Z Flip3. Since the South Korean tech giant announced the predecessor Galaxy Z Flip 5G in July 2020, it is likely that the Z Flip 3 may go official in July this year along with the Galaxy Z Fold 3. Earlier this week, display analyst Ross Young claimed that the new foldables by Samsung will debut in June or July.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G

It was reported around two months ago by Sammobile that the Galaxy Z Flip3 may not be a full-fledged flagship device. It is said that its 5G variant has an SM-F721B model number whereas its LTE edition has an SM-F720F model number. The presence of an LTE model suggests that it will feature a high-end LTE-ready chip. The last high-end LTE chip from Qualcomm is the Snapdragon 855+. Hence, it appears that the Galaxy Z Flip3 could arrive as a budget flagship device.

The Z Flip3 is speculated to offer users a 6.9-inch main foldable screen with 120Hz refresh rate support, thinner bezels and a smaller punch-hole, new UTG, 2 to 3 times larger external screen, a battery of around 3,900mAh, and better durability.

The Galaxy Z Fold3 is speculated to arrive as the company’s first foldable phone with S-Pen support. It is also rumored to sport an under-display camera to offer users with full-screen experience.

realme C2 Diamond Blue Featured

In late September 2020, realme started recruiting beta testers for realme C2 Android 10 update. So it took the company over four months to deliver the stable update.

Even now, the realme UI update for realme C2 is only available for select users, as per PiunikaWeb. In other words, it is being rolled out in batches to avoid any mishap. Therefore, the update may take more time to reach every unit.

That said, the update comes with firmware version C.53 and January 2021 security patch. Further, it weighs around 2.1GB for users on the stable channel and only 164MB for those who were part of the beta program. Also, since this device is an entry-level smartphone, users won’t find all the features of realme UI, which is basically ColorOS 7 with some minor tweaks here and there.

Anyway, realme has fulfilled its promise of delivering the Android 10 update to realme C2. Also, this device is the last realme smartphone to get the realme UI update.

Recently, ASUS sub-brand, Republic of Gamers (ROG), and IKEA agreed on a collaboration between both brands to design and produce various pieces of furniture and accessories specifically tailored to suit the nuances of the gaming community. The joint effort has now begun yielding results, as IKEA last month, introduced a variety of gaming furniture to the Chinese market, with hopes of extending these products to the global market this year.

The new gaming range is mainly focused on gamers using a personal computer. IKEA has categorized the products into six categories. They include HUVUDSPELARE, UTESPELARE, MATCHSPEL, GRUPPSPEL, UPPSPEL, and LÅNESPELARE.

The UPPSPEL product family was designed and produced via a close collaboration between Asus ROG and IKEA. The other five product families were developed solely by IKEA, although it claims these products were based on the insights and knowledge gained from the collaboration.

The list of products that culminated from the IKEA/ Republic of Gamers collaboration is over thirty.

The list of new gaming-focused furniture is expected to debut in Japan around May 2020. The products include gaming desks and chairs, a drawer unit, a mug holder, a neck pillow, a ring light, a mouse bungee, a ring light, and several other products that both companies hope would combine to produce a wonderful gaming experience.

However, gamers will have to wait a bit longer for these products, as IKEA has said that global sales are expected bro kick off in October 2021.

Samsung Galaxy A12 tipped to launch in India next week

Samsung launched the Galaxy A12 alongside the Galaxy A02s for the European markets in late November 2020. Now, over two months later, this budget smartphone with a large screen, a huge battery, and a quad-camera is tipped to debut in India next week.

Samsung Galaxy A12 Featured

The Samsung Galaxy A12 received BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) certification last month. Hence, it was certain that this handset will be available in the country very soon. According to Ishan Agarwal (via MySmartPrice), a well-known reliable leakster, the device will be launching in the country next week itself.

The Galaxy A12 is similar to the Galaxy M12 that went official a few hours back. The only major differences between the two is that the former is powered by a MediaTek Helio P35 SoC and runs Android 10 One UI Core 2.x, as compared to Exynos 850 chipset and One UI Core 3.0 based on Android 11 on the latter. Also, both feature different patterns on their rear panel.

Apart from the above-mentioned dissimilarities, both devices are identical. The Galaxy A12 flaunts a 6.5-inch HD+ (720 x 1600 pixels) PLS TFT LCD panel with a dewdrop notch (Infiniti-V Display) that gets its juice from a 5,000mAh battery.

The handset comes with a 48MP (wide) + 5MP (ultra-wide) + 2MP (macro) + 2MP (depth) quad-camera setup on the back and an 8MP selfie camera. Talking about connectivity, the phone supports dual-SIM, 4G, single-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, and GNSS (GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, GALILEO).

Other features of this smartphone include a microSD card slot, 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, grip sensor, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, and 15W fast charging.

Last but not least, the Samsung Galaxy A12 measures 164 x 75.8 x 8.9mm in dimensions, weighs 205g, and comes in multiple storage configurations (3GB+32GB, 4GB+64GB, 4GB+128GB, 6GB+128GB) as well as four colors (Black, White, Blue, Red). But it is not known which variants will be sold in India at what price.
